About the author

John Lescroart (born January 14, 1948) is an American author best known for two series of legal and crime thriller novels featuring the characters Dismas Hardy and Abe Glitsky.

Lescroart was born in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Junípero Serra High School, San Mateo, California (Class of 1966). He then went on to earn a B.A. in English with Honors at UC Berkeley in 1970. In addition to his novels, Lescroart has written several screenplays.

I'm not sufficiently Holmesian to appreciate these, but as Wolfe pastiche, I liked.

The 13th Juror was a great book and years ago I picked this up wanted to read more of this author's book. I finally got around to reading. It was basically ok. I found Rasputin's Revenge more interesting because I had just visited St. Petersburg on a cruise and that is where this story takes place. Plus Sherlock Holmes and Watson make an appearance. Not bad, but not great.
