Jenny and her brothers and sister are so excited to wrap their mother’s birthday present that they accidentally break it! It’s early in the day, so Mom is not yet awake, giving the little mice time to find a new present. As they search all over the field for the perfect present, nothing seems to work for them. Finally, with a scrap of paper and some other items they have found, Jenny has a great idea and the mice make something that’s just right!

Jenny, her brothers, and her sister have a present for their mother’s birthday, but it gets broken before they can give it to her. Now they must find another present. But they need to hurry and find that perfect gift before she wakes up! The little mice search, but there’s nothing that will make a perfect present for their mother. Then Jenny has a great idea.
Appealing illustrations fill the pages of this touching tale that helps children recognize the importance of working together. Parents will appreciate the emphasis on family.

This book was okay. I think it had a lot more potential to be a learning experience for the children. I thought it could have taken a different route to be more exciting for the children. I do not think this would be a good read aloud book because it will not interest some students.

a cute story about a group of mice looking for a present for their mother but everything they find in nature is needed by someone else more. Nice teamwork and creativeness in the end.
