Minx Mahoney's only light in a terrible childhood was her neighbor and best friend, Mouse. When he left Texas at the age of seventeen, she never heard from him again, though she's never forgotten him either. She moved in with her uncle, went to college and became a counselor. Her supervisor at the clinic sexually harassed her. Reporting him backfired. Demoted, she's transferred to another branch in the city--to the same district she'd finally managed to escape.

Laszlo Hansen, a former SEAL, has spent the last two years recovering from the damage done when his squad's truck drove over an antitank landmine. Six other team-mates were also badly hurt, the seventh--Mouse--dead, in what their team leader Badger Horley realized later had to be a trap set to take them out. He and his team-mate Geir are trying to learn more about Mouse’s history. Was the whole squad targeted with that landmine, or just their youngest, newest member? The truth is more disturbing and senseless than they'd anticipated. Who was Mouse really?

Minx may be the only person who knew the boy that later became a dangerous, hunted man…

Fabulous!

Laszlo is a true hero! He and Geir are in the right place at the right time to help Minx.
Minx is a tough young woman who has earned her Ph.D. in the school of life’s hard knocks for sure. Unfortunately, this is a story that is a fact of real life for some children. Mouse endured a similar lifestyle as Minx and needed help just as much but was unable to benefit from any.

The dangerous streets teach the innocent life’s dangers, sometimes at a very young age. As with Minx, she was only six or so years old, just a baby, really. It’s sad to think a mother is more worried about her next drug fix that she is so unconcerned for her child that Minx had to hide to stay safe and learned how to use a knife as protection at such an early age.

Laszlo is different from his SEAL brothers. He is quiet, unassuming and laid back. He still is as deadly and tough as the rest, just more subdued. I like that. I enjoyed this latest story about the SEALS of Steel. It has events that are true to life and gets the reader very involved quickly. I also like that Geir is there to offer his help and expertise.

This story is fast paced and quite exciting. It has multiple twists and turns which makes you think and try to figure out the villain throughout the entire story. It feels right that Laszlo and Minx take their time coming together with respect to Minx’s upbringing, but that doesn’t diminish the hotness!

Excellent job! I loved it!

A continuation in a very interesting story. Different from Ms. Mayer’s other series, SEALs of Steel has an overarching story (mystery, really) that slowly unravel with each book in the series. So, unlike her other series, you MUST read previous books first and read it in order.

So, very intriguing to see bits more of Mouse, bits of unexpected side of him. These information were gathered through Mouse’s childhood best friend, Minx, who captured Laszlo’s heart. All in all, captivating story. I just felt the nearly end was a bit rushed. It’s OK though.

I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.

What a mysterious and suspenseful plot line that is quickly unraveling.

With little to go on in compiling the history that was their dead teammates life… it will take lots of questions, a journey back to a possible lead and the meeting of a young woman who is suspicious at best to unwind the intricacies that is Mouse’s life.

It’s thoughtful, it's emotional, and its leading to the very heart of a complex situation that has destroyed so many lives. It’s dramatic with twisted turns, which see a seemingly unrelated personal circumstances for Minx, collide with a current, more personal investigation for the men that are Seals of Steel. It will eventually come full circle, with even more questions that will test Laszlo and Minx, with the help of Laszlo’s team mate, Geir, in more ways than they can ever imagine.

Wonderful, intelligent, caring and compassionate characters that are reeling from horrific injuries, learning to deal with life and limitations as it now is yet never giving up and learning to adapt through any hardship that comes their way. Determined to find answers and to right the wrongs perpetrated. The setting depicted breaks your heart, the background of a life lost will have you spinning. This story had such heart breaking moments, and how one deals with life when its treated you with nothing but torture and chaos. How each copes is leading to an overall conclusion…

Oh WOW!! this story continues to unfold more layers of suspense and mystery. Our mystery is evolving and someone, or maybe someones’ are doing their level best to eliminate and get rid of any connection to the landmine that forever changed and shaped the men of Seals of Steel. Are the people we thought we knew, those we work closely with, our friends, our protectors... really who they are? Only time will tell

Dale continues this captivating series with yet another page-turning drama. Intrigue, twists and unexpected turns - with LASZLO. I highly recommend not only reading LASZLO, if you haven’t already begun this series, go back to the beginning and start reading SEALS OF STEEL. It’s for those that love military based heroes and the women that capture their attention, protect those they care and love and a mystery that you really want to solve.

Lazlo is another great episode in the Seals of Steel saga. In line with the tone of the other books, the characters’ personalities are deep and multi faceted, making them credible and captivating.
Same as his teammates, Lazlo has worked hard to rebuild his body and his psychological strength after being hit by a landmine two years prior. He has accepted his condition, and, overcoming his limitations, he is fit and active like he used to be in the past. He is also good spirited, caring and protective.
Minx, the heroine, has had a difficult upbringing. While still a teenager, she was brave and smart enough to leave her mother and run down neighbourhood and build a good life for herself. Her past, however, keeps catching up with her, endangering her security and peace of mind. She never stops fighting though, refusing to lose the stability that was so hard to achieve. She is proud and self sufficient, straightforward with her opinions and her feelings, captivating the reader with her strength and her witty dialogue.
The book also has quite a few interesting side characters. Agnes and Bart, Minx’s childhood friends, are caring and loving figures, masters in the art of survival and always prepared to offer help, comfort and protection to others.
Geir, another team member and the protagonist of the next story, introduces himself and as a pleasant, good humoured individual.
Lazlo is a well written book. The narration is fast paced, but never frantic. The reader has the time to appreciate the characters and every twists and turns of the story. Finally, the author takes the time to give small snapshots of the protagonist’s thoughts and reflections, both of them survivors, proud of their achievements yet humble and a little self deprecating.
With Lazlo, the author has found a delicate equilibrium, balancing an action packed plot, an emotional story and deep and vivid characters. She has created a book that is very pleasant to read and not easy to forget.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Opinions and comments are solely my own.

Wow, the more Ms. Mayer tells us about Mouse the more we don't know him, just like the heroes in this story.

It's Laszlo's turn and he and Geir go to Mouse's hometown in Texas in hopes of finding more information about Mouse. What they find is another mess that they get caught up in by way of Mouse's childhood friend, Minx. Minx and Mouse were best friends even though Minx is two years younger than Mouse. He left town when he was sixteen and never looked back. Minx left when she could and came back for a friend.

She meets Laszlo and Grier but is caught up in her own drama involving a sexual harassment charge. Laszlo and Grier agree to look out for Minx in exchange for information about Mouse. We also learn his real name and man that just added to the tragedy of his childhood. He and Minx were all each other had until he met Poppy and well things to more twisted from there.

Laszlo and Minx share a spark of electricity and he protects her as any alpha male will do. They are good for each other and have come through their own hell on the other side. Two broken people who find each other.

This story was fast paced and well I am very curious to see how Mouse's story will end. There are so many twists and turns in this book and some shocking revelations for Laszlo, Geir, and Minx as they grapple with the Mouse they knew and the Mouse that is coming to light.

I like that this series is based around one story, well at least around one character, Mouse. It is different from her other military series in that way. I like that because it's a bit different and as the story moves on to the other's in Mouse's unit, the reader is given more clues to the puzzle but also I was left with more questions. The series has drawn me in and now I have to know what happens and who the real Mouse is. I am hooked.

Laszlo- SEALs of Steel series

This book picks up right where the last book ends with Laszlo and Geir following leads to discover more about Mouse and where he grew up in Texas. They run across a neighbor,Minx that was very close to him until she was sixteen when he left town with his boyfriend Lance. They were there for each other as Mouse's mother consistently beat him up and abused him for no reason. Her mother was a dope addict and prostitute so she was consistent fighting off men who wanted to rape her because of her mother. They had a terrible childhood but she was saved by her uncle and moved to Maine where she went to college and became a counselor. He became a SEAL even though he was terrified of water which made no sense. She was now being propositioned by her boss at work so she was pressing harassment charges. She was transferred to the worst neighborhood because of her actions to press charges and now was also being threatened. Laszlo and Geir are helping to protect her from people trying to now kill her after she was kind enough to help them understand Mouse better. This story gets exciting as their stories intersect as they save her life, catch the assassins and even Laszlo and Minx fall in love. The mystery of who Mouse really was, how he became a SEAL and why they all were almost killed in their IED bombing accident which took Mouse's life grows more mysterious. It is amazing how these brave damaged SEALs are finding love one by one. Their quest to solve who was behind their accident gets closer to solving with each clue they uncover. It is non stop action and a fabulous love story as well. I cannot wait to read the next release centering around Geir as he finds love and comes closer to undercovering who Mouse really was.

This is the fifth book of the series. However, you will understand more if you’ve read earlier books of this series and the other two series by the author before you read this one.

If you want to read what the book is about, read above the reviews.

Our hero in this one is a man who was a soldier and is now medically discharged. His whole team of SEALs hit an IED. He lost one teammate and all the others were injured in some way. They’ve lost limbs, internal parts and most important confidence.

Our heroine is a friend of one of the hero and his team who was killed by an IED. She was brave enough to get out of their rotten childhood neighbourhood, but is suddenly thrust back after reporting unwanted advances by her boss. One day her path crosses that of our hero and teammate. However, upon talking to them, her friend seems like the same one they are trying to find out more about, but at the same time not. She’s bold and strong enough to help our hero and his friends to find out the truth.

Our hero knows something doesn’t add up. Everything he and his teammate are finding out just doesn’t add up to what their dead friend told them. As the dig deeper, with the help of our heroine, he finds not everything everyone tells them is the truth. Although they do find out enough to find out other truths and they are, at times, shocking.

The plot still sucks you in and you are almost searching for the answers now. You a key answer and this allows the guys to keep moving on. At times the story and plot move slowly but then it starts to get faster and some of the puzzle pieces start to fall into place. Although at the end, there are still some questions to be answered, but the answers are coming.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I was kindly provided this book as an ARC; in exchange for my honest review. This is book 5 in the SEALs Of Steel series.

“SEALs of Steel” were an eight-man SEAL team unit that was misled/ambushed/given “bogus” orders that caused them to hit a landmine in their transport. All the men were grievously injured and one man (“Mouse”) died. The remaining seven SEALs are investigating to find out what happened and why; and hopefully in the end they will avenge Mouse’s death.

You certainly must read this series in order or you will be lost. This is definitely a series with layers of stories within a STORY.

This book centers around Laszlo & Minx. The only other team member that is represented in this story is Geir. There is reference to Levi/Ice & also Mason. These three characters are from two of Ms. Dale’s other related SEALs series.

Geir & Laszlo are in Dallas trying to investigate Mouse’s background as events to this point have led the team to believe their “accident” & the rash of tragic events the team members closest friends & family have suffered are somehow linked to their deceased team member, Mouse. Minx is a child social worker/counselor that grew up with Mouse & loved him as a brother. Many secrets are revealed & more chaos occurs.

It is a fast paced story & should interest even the most cynical reader. I did feel as if the story was cut a little short or was maybe rushed. This storyline is involved and probably won’t come to a conclusion or semi-conclusion for at least a few more books. Such a bummer to have to read more interesting stories to get to the “end” (haha). Enjoy.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a fantastic series with lots of suspense, adventure and confusing twists.

The overall plot involves eight-members of a SEAL team who, while on a mission in Afghanistan, drive over a landmine. One man, Mouse, dies, but everyone else suffers serious injuries. In the first book, the men discover that their tragedy was NOT an accident. The SEALs spend the rest of the series trying to find out who caused it.

This is the fifth book in a series that is best understood when the books are read in sequential order. The main characters in this book are Laszlo, one of his fellow SEALs, Geir, and Minx. Laszlo and Geir visit Mouse’s hometown. They hope to learn more about his life in order to see if someone he knew had deliberately targeted him.

There he meets Minx, who grew up next to Mouse. Laszlo befriends Minx, and relies on her memory, and her friends in the neighborhood, to help him learn about Mouse and his life.

Meanwhile, Minx has her own problem; someone is trying to kill her. Therefore, while Minx helps Laszlo investigate Mouse’s life, he and Geir stay with her to keep her safe and, hopefully, catch her assailant.

I love every Dale Mayer’s book I have read, but I especially like this series. It is exciting and unpredictable. Often, nothing is as it seems to be.

Although Minx’s problem is solved by the end of this book, the SEALs “accident” only gets muddier and more confusing than ever, as we get to the end of this book.

In Book 5 of SEALs of STEEL, the members of the unit Badger, Erick, Cade, Talon, Laszlo, and Geir agree that it’s time to work up Mouse’s life before he joined their unit and a year later was the only fatality in the truck explosion that has now been confirmed as not an accident. Among their individual interactions with Mouse, they realize that he has given a variety of conflicting information about his life. It appears that perhaps the deaths of loved ones may have been orchestrated by someone blaming and punishing the survivors for Mouse’s death. Laszlo and Geir head to Dallas, Texas, where they believe Mouse grew up. Beaten and starved by his alcoholic mother, Mouse had lived in a crime-ridden neighborhood until he left town at the age of 16, four years after being molested by one of his mother’s boyfriends and discovering his homosexuality. His best friend in the early years was Minx Montgomery, two years younger, who is now a counselor for a city agency and currently fighting sexual harassment by her boss and his retribution for the charges she is filing against him. After meeting people who knew Mouse personally in his youth, Laszlo and Geir try to reconcile what they know about Mouse with something they didn’t know that should have impeded Mouse’s ability to become a SEAL. The clues are coming together, and the next step is the investigation of alleged military misconduct reported around the same time as the explosion in Afghanistan.

As the mystery that is Mouse becomes both just a little clearer and even more confusing with help from childhood friends, one of them finds herself in trouble. This portion of the series moves us a tiny bit further on in that we find out more about Mouse as a youngster, a heartbreaking background of fighting for survival. I still have an idea of how at least part of this will turn out in the end but this author has a way of throwing in a twist or turn along the way so I'm sure there will be a lot more to come before we get there. Well written and interesting, this book and the series as a whole grip the reader from the first page and push you through until you find yourself at the end again and desperately wanting more. This isn't stand alone, you need to read them all in order or they wont make sense because bits of information will be missing, I promise it is worth it. This series is different to Dale Mayer's other Military series as this plot is based over the whole thing, so you get snippets with each book, just a little more with each one. You wont find out the whole story till the last book. These guys have suffered and still suffer from their injuries and what happened to them, I find myself rooting for them to find closure so they can heal at least the mental side of events and hopefully move on with their lives after the two years of dealing pain and hospitals. Moving story that left me with a few more questions.

More pieces are coming together as the SEALs of Steel continue to investigate what happened when they ran over a landline, killing 1 and severely injuring the other 7 on the team. This next book delves into Mouse’s life, the one who died and go to where he grew up. Laszlo and Geir are tasked with that and when they go find his childhood home they run into Minx, a woman who was best friends with Mouse till he left and she never saw him again. What the two discover about Mouse, is tragic and horrible, and something they never knew. While gathering information they find out that Minx needs their expertise of protection and somehow it all entwines into their investigation.
Another great instalment in this series with steam, some suspense and Cupid striking again. As more information is found out it seems more questions are popping up which intensifies the mystery as to what happened...love it. I also enjoyed, once again with this author, the no drama between Laszlo and Minx, no misunderstandings, no jealousies, and the no other women or men coming between them....love it !! I also really liked the vulnerability with Laszlo near the end and what Minx does to ease his mind. I can’t wait to find out how this author wraps it all up and to what actually happened on that fateful day.

Minx Mahoney grew up is a rough area with an abusive parent and her only salvation was her childhood best friend Mouse, but he left when he was 17 and she never heard from him again. She trained at college and did her best to get out as she became a counsellor. However she is sent to work back in her childhood area after suffering sexual harassment. Laszlo Hansen is a former SEAL and after a deliberate action that had ended up with Mouse's death he goes to an area to investigate Mouse's childhood and meets Minx who is probably the best person to help him to understand. What happens next will test everyone's resolve and put everyone in danger - will they survive?

This was a powerful story that started to dig deeper into Mouse and gave Laszlo and the team some surprising information about Mouse that just kept giving more and more surprises as they followed all of the leads. Mix into that the story of Minx and her sexual harassment and it became a roller-coaster of emotions, drama and danger that definitely kept me addicted as they moved from one revelation to the next. Well written it was great to get even better understanding of the possible motives and causes of the events that left Mouse dead and the rest of the team suffering various levels of disability.

The mystery deepens and Laszlo finds love with Minx!

Laszlo and Geir are headed to Texas to delve into Mouse's childhood in hopes of finding out why he would have been targeted in the attack on their SEAL team. Finding Mouse's childhood best friend, Minx, was perfectly timed with her need for protection as she takes on a ruthless boss who's been sexually harassing her.

The way these two storylines dovetail together was seamlessly written, with non-stop action and suspense. Every new piece of information only opens up two more questions, so while they're getting closer to the truth they've still got a long way to go to get to the bottom of it all. The attraction between Laszlo and Minx was sweet and well-developed, and the epilogue gives us a peek at the adventures awaiting Geir in California.

Of all of this author's series, this one is my favorite. Each book is a standalone romance, but the mystery of who attacked their Humvee is slowly being revealed as each book contributes to the overall story. As soon as all these books are released, I'm going to go back through and reread them all again. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The continuing search for answers lead Laszlo and Geir to Dallas, Texas where they think Mouse grew up. They immediately connect with a childhood friend of his. Minx Mahoney who left the neighborhood to live with an Uncle in Maine where she completed college and became a counselor. Moving back to her old neighborhood to be closer to her newly assigned job post.

After spending some time with Laszlo and Geir, Minx heads home only to discover she is being followed. This opens a whole new side to what is going on with a sexual harassment complaint she has filed that not only gets her assigned to the sleazy part of Dallas but it appears her life is being threatened.

This book adds more questions than answers to who Mouse was and at the same time gives Laszlo and Geir a chance to help Minx thus adding to the mystery surrounding her situation as well as giving the electricity between her and Laszlo a chance to become more than a passing acquaintance.

Mystery and murder for hire are the center focus of this book but with some help from Levi and his crew all is settled and another one bites the dust as Laszlo and Minx seem to be headed to a permanent arrangement.

It’s been two years since the tragedy injured seven members of a SEAL team and resulted in the death of one of the teammates, Mouse. They have had a long road to physical recovery, but the emotional recovery is taking much longer as they feel they were targeted but they don’t who is behind it or why. The team decides that they need to find out more about Mouse’s past to determine if he is target so they send Laszlo and Geir to investigate.

Minx and Mouse were best friends as children. They endured traumatic childhoods and they only had each other until Mouse left when he was 17 to join the Navy. She struggled to get her degree and become a counselor so that she could help others however through no fault of her own she finds herself back in the dangerous neighborhood she tried to escape.

When Minx is being threatened Laszlo is determined to protect her but will they find out who is behind the threats before she becomes the next casualty?

My heart broke for both Minx and Mouse and what they had to endure. This story takes you on an adventure filled with suspense, twists and romance. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was a fast paced and very compelling story (just like all of her other novels.) This one sure didn't disappoint. With each clue and search, the guys of the SEAL team hit with an anti-tank mine get closer to answers as to the incident that killed one of their own and severely injured the rest of them.

It is through their quest for answers that each of them find their true love in the most unlikely of places. This one is no different. Minx was a close childhood friend of Mouse's. Certain questions have been answered but most questions have arisen. Minx is faced with a stalker and was harassed on the job. While looking for clues into Mouse's background, Laszlo and Geir help Minx with her issues.

Geir is the next installment of the series and I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Each story just gets better and better. I just love how the story continues the plot of the series while containing a sub-plot. Also the stories are fast paced that keeps the reader glued to their e-reader.

I so highly recommend this to anyone who loves military romance.

Due to Minx being sexually harassed, she is back to working as a counselor in the neighborhood that she escaped years ago. Minx is at first suspicious about Lazlo and Geir’s visit to the neighborhood. They are there to see if they can find out a former SEAL that had also been Minx’s best friend years ago. They soon discover that Minx’s life is in danger. I received a free copy of this book from the author through Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is a suspenseful book, which has a start of a realistic romance, a little steam and a mystery. Minx grew up with a rough childhood where she only had Mouse to defend her. Now, she is a strong independent woman who is in danger again. This book could be enjoyed as a standalone, but you would miss the larger mystery that makes up the series. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend this book and the series. What I love about this series that each book has a mystery that is solved as they work on the larger mystery of who murdered Mouse and caused all of them to be wounded warriors.

One of my favorite things about the books in this series is the journey each of these men have navigated to be where they are now. Each one has survived multiple injuries that let's just say they are all lucky to be alive.

Laszlo is no different and now he and Geir have traveled to Texas to find the truth of Mouse's past. They have realized that they really know nothing about him, every story they remember is a different tale. Everything they've discovered is pointing to Mouse being the catalyst to their accident and the 'accidents' surrounding the people they care about.

Minx watched them carefully as they looked around the neighborhood and once they approached her many revelations come out.

She also has some insights that could open things up more and interesting reasons she is in her old neighborhood.

There is also Laszlo's attraction to her and her problems become theirs as they realize she's in danger too.

I love the slow build, the suspense as this puzzle unravels, the way these guys are finding the right person and the sizzle when it all comes together!

The X-Seals are still turning ever stone to solve the mystery of who was responsible in deliberately sending them to run over a land mine, killing Mouse, one of their team, and causing the remaining team unconscionable harm. So far they have concluded finding everything they can about Mouse will help. Not to mention one by one the team members are finding their forever mates.

Laszlo and Geir are sent to a town where Mouse was supposed to have lived and grown up. While scouting the area they meet Minx. She also grew up here and came back to work as a counselor. Minx was also a close friend to Mouse. Suddenly someone is making threats and trying to kill her.

Their investigation into who's trying to kill Minx opens up new information in their case. More leads are helping them get closer to the answer. Full of suspense and the ever present who done it. Their answer feels so close.

Laszlo by Dale Mayer
SEALs of Steel Series Book Five
Laszlo Jensen's turn to take the lead on the search for who is behind the accident their SEALs unit was involved in two years ago. Also, who is killing—or in his father's case—attempting to murder their friends and family. So off to Texas he goes with another team member, Geir. Time to find out more of about Mouse. The youngest member of their team who died in the accident.

Minx Montgomery was Mouse's best friend. He was her protector in the world they grew up in. Only, these men who have come to find out about him are finding out more than she knew. It's starting to seem confusing that the boy she knew, is the same man they had known.

These books contain romances that are completed in each story...but the mystery of who is behind the murders continues.

As previous reviewers have summarized the story so well, I will skip that and get right to my favorite scene. Laszlo decides to sleep on Minx's couch in case the bad guys break in to her apartment to get her which they do. Laszlo jumps in before the bad guy hurts Minx too badly. Laszlo hasn't had any real physical action since his his multiple surgeries. Even with just one leg and a pretty much useless left hand, Laszlo subdued the guy. Laszlo compares his present actions to his previous ones and comes up short but Minx praises him and insists she would be dead if he hadn't taken action. I think this was a turning point for Laszlo where finally accepts himself and his different body when he views himself through Minx's eyes.

Ms. Meyer's characters always pull at my heart strings and keeps me coming back for more.

Every book in this series leads to the mystery around the humvee explosion. This book is about Lazlo, and leads to Mouse's childhood home. There he meets Minx, who was best friends with Mouse when they were children.
Minx is having problems of her own dealing with a sexual harrassment case against her boss, then Lazlo and Geir show up looking for more information about Mouse.
Lazlo and Geir being the honourable men they are, end up helping Minx deal with the ex-boss issue, and continue working towards finding out what happened with the humvee explosion.
Strong alpha males, and a pretty tough female character.. add in mystery, danger, intrigue, and you have a winning read!
Another fantastic book by Dale Mayer.

Awesome as always

Growing up I only read V C Andrews or historical books . I got my 1st kindle in 2012. Dale Mayer's series on vampires was the first book followed by the whole series was my introduction to Dale Mayer's .Now it is 2025 and I have yet to pick up a book by Dale Mayer's that does not grab me from 1st page and I am saddened and torn between closing the book or trying to find a way to stay in the books world. I love all her books but psychic series ,the Hathaway series and the Simon says series are my current favs. But honestly love them all and my favorite changes often. I just wish her psychic series and the Simons says worlds would somehow collide and have Simon and Stefan
working together reveiling more about both mens past. Finally you should read this book but be warned once you read one you will want to read all Dale Mayer's books

Love Love Love Laszlo. Suspense, mystery, intrigue and romance. I really like how the plot thickens. Where oh where is this going to end up with Mouse. I think I might have an idea, but I keep waffling.
This story pulled me and kept me with it. I was befuddled right along side Laszlo and Gier as they learned more of the past history with Mouse. I loved how they came to meet and interact with Minx and was thrilled that she was a strong, yet vulnerable woman. And what about Agnes and Bart? Such a great plot line, twists, and surprises and the cherry on top was the romance, right where it needed to be. Thank you Dale Mayer and Booksprout for this arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.

I really loved this book. The characters interaction throughout the book make you want to keep reading so you find out what happens at the end. The characters are lovable and having characters come into the book from other books in the series keeps you caught up on the story-line. You could start reading this book without reading the others in the series, but believe me, all the other books are well worth reading! If you are into action, suspense, a bit of love and hot military men, you will love love love this book! I honestly couldn't put it down until I read the last page and it had me wanting more!

Intriguing

Things are really heating up as to why the Seals of Steel’s unit was targeted and were the all supposed to die or only Mouse. More and more questions are coming to the surface about who the real Mouse was and how he was accepted as a Seal. Someone is out to stop any enquires into anything referring to Mouse. On the other track a childhood friend of Mouse ends up having problems when she reports her boss of sexual harassment, thankfully Laszlo and Geir are there to help keep her safe and as far as Minx is concerned Laszlo with keep her safe or die trying. I know finding out what really happened will bring the series to an end but my curiosity is getting the better of me.
