Stephen H. Wolinsky is a founder of Quantum Psychology, integrating Western Psychology, Advaita-Vedanta’s Non-duality, Quantum Physics, Neuro-Science, and Buddhism. He is the author of fourteen books, audio tapes and a DVD series, I Am That I Am. Wolinsky has a PhD in Clinical Psychology and began his psychotherapy practice in 1974. From 1975 to 1985 he met over thirty different Gurus, Teachers, Rinpoches, and Meditation Masters. Wolinsky presently resides in Aptos, California.
Although full of typographical errors and incompletely developed thoughts, this book might be one of the most profound books on psychology I have yet read. It has led me directly to the a deeper knowledge of myself, and more importantly, to a deeper knowledge of that which is not myself. And in dismantling what is false, space emerges for what is true. And this creates freedom.
I certainly wish the author had chosen differently how to organize this book. In between sections explaining Quantum Psychology are "Theraputic Notes" which are transcriptions of Wolinsky working with clients. Because these transcripts lack so much important contextual information, they did not help me very much and in fact felt like interruptions to the flow of the book. I would prefer they exist in appendix form.
I would wish that all self-help or psychology books attempt to answer the following question: "Why am I not completely in love with what is arising in my life right now?" I think Wolinsky's books do attempt to deal with this question, and for that I am grateful.
