This book is way too dated to be worthwhile to me. I have no desire to put delicious seafood or avocado in gelatin, I don't go through an entire jar of mayonnaise in a month, and I do believe a recipe should be more than tossing tomatoes in vinegar. Some of the flavor combinations are intriguing (apple and celery root), but the recipes overall just don't look worth it.
