The best gifts in life will sometimes catch you by surprise.
Luke is a YouTuber known for his popular Omega Manny Diary videos. After a brief-yet-secret fling with his boss Ian’s best friend, he finds himself left with an even larger secret: Grazer’s baby.
Grazer had a lot of fun with Luke, but he’d been upfront with him from the beginning. He’d always preferred to chase silver foxes—not young, fertile pups.
Nearly two years after their last hot night together, Grazer returns to Hollydale, fresh from a year of guarding the toddler of a celebrity. He’s at loose ends, not to mention lonely, and wondering if maybe he’d been too brash when writing off love and fatherhood in the past.
When Grazer runs into Luke and discovers his life-altering secret, can they find a way to forgive the mistakes of the past and grab their second chance at romance?
Return to Hollydale for this second chance, secret baby romance where May learns to be the December in an age gap relationship. This is the seventh book of The Hollydale Omegas series. This book is about 34k and most likely contains an HEA. 18+ readers only please! And yes, this book contains M/PREG, adults adulting in sexy grown-up ways, and way more than an occasional use of potty mouth language.
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
Marshmallow Spiced Omega is book seven in The Hollydale Omegas series by Susi Hawke. This is a second chance romance that is sweet and a little bit magical.
Luke Branford was twenty eight when he first met Grazer, his boss’s best friend. They had a few secret hook ups together but Grazer made it clear that he wasn’t staying and that he wasn’t interested in a relationship. After he left, it didn’t take long for Luke to realize that he was pregnant. He had no way to contact Grazer but he had made it clear he didn’t want children or a partner. Now, two years later, Luke is thirty and has an almost one year old adorable daughter, Sammie.
Grayson “Grazer” Knight is I think about ten years older than Luke. He had been away for nearly two years providing protection to a celebrity’s child. Now he’s back in Hollydale visiting his friends, trying to figure out what he wants to do next. When he runs into Luke, whom he’s never forgotten, it doesn’t take long to realize that Luke has a child that looks suspiciously like him!
These two have a lot to work through but I loved that they did it in a very adult, respectful manner. There was no anger, just awe over the beautiful child that has Grazer re-evaluating everything. What drew Grazer and Luke together the first time is still there but deeper both with time past and with the child they made together.
All the while, a mysterious bunny rabbit keeps appearing and leaving little gifts for them along with messages inside. Maybe Grazer wasn’t ready two years ago but now he can see a future with the man he once walked away from and with the beautiful little girl he already loves with all his heart.
This was a quick read and also super sweet. It may have taken Grazer a little longer than some to finally grow up but I give him credit that when it was time for him to take responsibility, he was all in. It was so cute to see them all get their happy ever after. The next book in the series is called Maple Spiced Omega.
This was book 7 in "The Hollydale Omega" series Luke is a YouTuber known for his popular Omega Manny Diary videos we first met Luke when Cecil and Ian hired him to be their manny. Luke had a secret affair with Grazer who we met in book 4 he is Ian's friend and investigator. Grazer is not looking to settle down or have kids so he leaves and goes on a long term job guarding a rock stars baby when the job ends he begins to think about settling down and maybe having an omega of his own so he returns to Hollydale after almost two years away. Luke who never told anyone who his babies alpha dad is until he let it slip in the delivery room with Tom and his friend and neighbor Scott. Luke knows that he needs to tell Grazer about his daughter Sammy but when he waits too long he runs into Grazer although Grazer thinks that Luke is being abused by someone named Sam. This was a pretty good read and I felt bad about how Grazer found out that he had a daughter Luke lets Grazer move in with them to get to know his daughter. Grazer takes care of Luke and Sammy when they get sick get sick. These two like the other couples in Hollydale had some help this time it was from the Easter Bunny who leaves painted eggs with messages in them. This was a good read this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Wow... this series just keeps getting better and better. Luke and Grazer, once they get all sorted out are just perfection. The whole fluffy bunny delivering eggs with a message is just adorable as well as prophetic. I just can't get emough of this series and am so happy that I still have more to read.
I felt like I was dropped into the story a third of the way into things, rather than starting at the beginning. I thought this couple was sweet, but ultimately the read was just OK for me. The highlight is always getting to see Tom (my favorite character of this entire series) and I do love how all of these characters are friends and a family with each other.
A sweet omegaverse romance with the Easter Bunny playing the role of cupid. Odd, but in a cute way. Plus I'm a total sucker for the secret baby troupe. I also had some good laughs at some of the expense of Luke and Grayson and I really hope parenthood isn't that ridiculously messy in real life. Like I need to believe that was cutesy humor and not possible foreshadowing.
This book was better than the previous book. It may be because I knew the characters in this book from previous books in this series and I was intrigued to see how they turned out.
Grazer and Luke were the cutest couple. This book had a little more drama than the others but that didn't take away from the cuteness of this series.
If you are looking for something cute and fluffy and love the Omegaverse, than I definitely recommend this series.
This book was a cute but strange read. Typical Hollydale structure and angst between one alpha and an omega; I never really connected chemistry between the two main characters. I felt like Like and his good friend the neighbor were going to end up together as they had more chemistry.
There have always been a few grammatical typos in Audi Hawke's books but this book has a lot more than usual and they kept pulling me out of the flow of the story.
This was the first book I’ve read in the series and I didn’t feel like I was missing anything essential but who have liked to know the other characters better from having read their stories. It would have been good to understand the friendship dynamics and other families better but not totally necessary.
I really enjoyed the ‘backward’ approach to their relationship and family. I liked how Luke is already pregnant and we followed his labor and progress to new fatherhood, not having told the baby daddy, Grazer. Once Grazer comes back into Luke’s life a misunderstanding leads to a funny start for the couple. Once Graceson knows about Sammy they begin to forge their way to a little family and fall in love. I enjoyed the slower approach to love and even though they were co-parenting and having ‘fun times’ they didn’t fall into love straight away.
The overall story was cute and sweet and very easy to listen to, with great narration and different voices for most of the characters and that is a challenge as they are all male and there is a lot of them! I loved the fortune telling bunny! It was so cute and weird. I’m not sure if it shows up in the other stories or where it comes from but it was a unique and somewhat sweet ‘Cupid’.
Another sweet mpreg love story by Susi. Worth a listen!!
The Easter Bunny is leaving you and your omega decorated prophetic eggs? Yep, you're in Hollydale!
This addition to the Hollydale Omegas series is sweetness & fluff, with just the right amount of angst. All our old friends are here. I was welcomed back into the Hollydale family from the first pages. As with all these stories, there is a supernatural creature helping the main characters find each other. In this book, it's a fluffy bunny who leaves magically decorated eggs with fortunes inside. Ooh, you are gonna love this book! Grazer left Hollydale because he couldn't do commitment. Little did he know he'd left his omega pregnant with no way to contact him. Now he's back, wanting to find his omega. Luke always meant to tell Grazer he had a daughter, but life got in the way. Their reunion is rocky, but both men agree Grazer needs to be a part of Sammy's life. And if he becomes part of Luke's life, well... A fluffy bunny leaving fortune eggs, quirky friends with good intentions, an adorable toddler, an accident, an illness, and a birthday party cement Grazer & Luke's relationship. Yes, there are steamy scenes. And babies. Lots of babies. And of course, HEA. This is Hollydale after all. Though this book stands alone, I recommend reading the previous books in the series. You will be glad you did. This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
I've featured many of the author's Hollydale Omegas series entries on my blog for different holiday themes but this is only the third I've actually had the opportunity to read. I loved it.
There is so many ways or plot paths the author could have taken and I'm sure each would be just as good but I'm glad the author chose this one. I know that sounds ambiguous but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, who like me is relatively new to this series. Just know it's so good.
Luke and Grazer have a past where each was potentially in a different place in their lives and what they wanted next. When a baby enters into the picture, those places in their lives may change or perhaps it just helps things become clearer. Okay, again I'm being coy but I won't spoil it. I wanted to wrap Luke in huge Mama Bear hugs and at first I didn't expect to like Grazer but sometimes we don't know what makes a character tick until we see some inner monologue that definitely can effect our perception of previous actions.
Anywho, I may have been light on any story points here as I'm a spoil-free zone kind of person but what I will simply say is I absolutely LOVED Marshmallow Spiced Omega! I may have picked it up because I was looking for Easter/spring themed stories but I'm just glad I did. Such a delightfully fun gem and I doubt it'll be 3+ years before I dive back in to Hollydale Omegas.
Hollydale and all it's magic have struck again. Luke and Grazer get a lot more than either of them thought possible when the cute little bunny in this story gets involved in their love story. Luke is the adorable omega in this story and Grazer is the all consuming alpha. These two definitely get a rocky start with the secrets that Luke has kept and the surprises coming Grazer's way but they both handle it all, bunny included. By this time in the series everyone in Hollydale has come to expect that some sort of magic will always be involved so when the bunny and his painted eggs show up it's not really a surprise to these two men. Grazer and Luke do a wonderful job of trying to overcome the obstacles they are faced with in the beginning and after they start to become a family they both still have some learning and changing to do. This was a cute, low angst, magically romantic story and Drew Bacca did a wonderful job with the narration. I don't think there is a better narrator for this series and I am definitely looking forward to the next one!
Luke and Grazier were together before Grazier left on a job for two years after he made clear didn't want kids or family. Luke didn't have way getting hold him and after what Grazier said he didn't try. Now Grazier is back and it's time to come clean.
Things were hilarious when Grazier thought that Sam was a guy and that conversation wanting to help Luke see the truth even had Luke's friend laughing on how went down. Thankfully things get figured out when Grazier goes to Sam's aka Samantha's birthday party.
Luke asks him to move in with them so Grazier can be apart of their daughter's life. There is a cute bunny leaving eggs that are hand painted this time around instead of a human. I thought that was cool.
I thought was sweet with Grazier taking care of them when Sam and Luke got sick. Plus the new baby Xander that's born as the usual formula goes. I don't like the drama though. I read because of Easter next weekend.
OK, maybe it is just me... but the missing words in this story were atrocious! I lost count after the 10th or 11th time it happened... grrr
I'm not quite sure why, but this one felt rushed to me. Maybe... I don't know! *headdesk* ;p
I wish we had gotten a bit more back story on Grazer... I liked the way he jumped right into a situation that would have never occurred to him that it could be possible. And, yes... Luke should have made an effort to find Grazer at some point... but the truth is, it is hard to put yourself out there when you are almost 100% sure that things are NOT going to go well... IMHO!
Just as I suspected, a spreadsheet was required to keep track of the babies and omegas and alphas... whew! hahaha
Side note: Where were the marshmallows in the story? Did I miss them somehow? Just curious about the title!
Cute little story with lots of love and a little bit of magic.
Luke is the Omega Manny on YouTube. He's also hiding a secret. He had an affair with his former boss's best friend Grazer, and ended up pregnant. Now he has a beautiful year old daughter, and Grazer still doesn't now. Until he shows up in town.
Grazer has always been introduced in older men. He hasn't ever wanted to get tied down, but things have changed lately, after spending a lot of time with a child he was guarding, he decides that maybe settling down isn't a bad thing. And then he sees Luke again.
There are hoppy little bunnies that leave magical little eggs around that kind of kick Luke and Grazer in the pants to help them figure out what's going on. It's a sweet little story that shows what it takes to build up a family and deal with secrets.
Marshmallow Spiced Omega is the 7th book in the Hollydale series by Susi Hawke. Luke is the Omega Manny, YouTube star and child caregiver. Grazer is the hot Alpha friend of Luke's boss who has a secret romance with him but then goes off on an assignment, unknowingly leaving Luke with a special parting gift - his baby. Almost 2 years later Grazer is back and finds he may want a second chance with Luke, and the family he didn't know they made. Funny and sweet, this addition to the Hollydale series catches us up with all the characters we have grown to love and delivers a satisfying happy ever after, with the help of a mysterious little bunny and his fortune eggs. Definitely a recommended book.
This was another great installment in The Hollydale Omegas series and honestly, just what I needed after the emotional rollercoaster that was my last read.
Luke and Grazer were great together and had amazing chemistry. I loved how well they settled into their little family, and even if there was some conflict, it was resolved quickly. Plus, it's always great to 'see' the rest of the Hollydale Omegas gang, Tom is so much fun! LOL
Drew Bacca was amazing, as always. I'm very happy that he's been narrating the whole series, because I don't think anyone else would capture the magic that is this world quite like him.
Overall, this was a sweet, fun audiobook that I'm sure I'll listen to again!
I've been enjoying the Hollydale Omegas books for the cute pulp they are. They all have a pretty high level of cheese. Marshmallow Spiced is a disappointment because I liked Luke. I wanted to see him with someone special. Unfortunately, there is no romance here.
Grazer says, in the beginning, that he likes older guys. Luke is younger. I got about 1/4 of the way through the book before he admitted any attraction to Luke. Luke doesn't exactly sit drooling over Grazer, either. 1/2 way through the book, I gave up as it was argument after argument between them and no real relationship. Getting together for a kid is not romantic, and the Easter bunny isn't really helping.
Grazer has a thing for the older men and Luke just doesn't fit this mold. Despite this, both men find themselves involved in a hook-up which leads Luke to getting pregnant. But during their time together Grazer had been adament that he wasn't looking for forever and a family so Luke decides not to tell him about the baby. However, Grazer shows back up in town and his reappearance but crumble down Luke's high walls and ruin everything Luke holds dear.
This was another hit by Susi Hawke. It was short and sweet with the similar missed-communication between alpha and omega that has you questioning whether the omega made the right choice hiding their pregnancy. I liked the characters, especially Grazer and would recommend this novel to those looking for a short and sweet read!
Second chances, bunny appearing at random places and plenty of laughs
I enjoyed this book so thoroughly made up for the last cringeworthy one. And it was ten times funnier.
Character breakdown;
Luke: I liked him ever since I met him in book three I love how practical he is and how he was as a parent.
Grazer: when I first met him I honestly thought he was just another playboy alpha never wanting to settle down. But it's obvious he just needed to be a little older and spend time with a child to change his mind.
My ultimate favorite scene was the diaper incident that was effing hysterical! Definitely recommend!
Another super cute addition to this wonderful series. A great second chance romance with a wonderful couple, Luke and Grazer. Their chemistry and connection are undeniable and they are really hot together. I really like that once the big secret is out, they communicate very well and talk things out even though tempers flare sometimes. I really admire Grazer's willingness to forgive Luke and not hold anything against him. I really enjoyed the narrator and the way he brought the story to life. Hope there is still lots more to come from Hollydale! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
The latest installment in the Hollydale series, another fantastic read. Luke the Manny finds himself pregnant and facing the prospect of single parentdoom. Just before his daughter Sammy's first birthday, Grazer, her papa reappears. Guilt of not telling Grazer about their daughter eats away at Luke, but he knows they need to talk and clear the air. Can they work through the difficulties ahead especially with the help of a cute, cuddly bunny and some amazing eggs to help. This series is an absolute joy to read and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Another well written story with a guaranteed HEA! I can't say enough how much I love these books and the fact that the past couples always make an appearance is a bonus. Luke, Grazer and Sammie's story has a few bumps along the road but don't all good love stories. I love the cupid in this story - it was a wonderful twist from the others. Reminded me of Milo and Rafe*I think that was the couple with the red ball*. I'm really hoping Scott's story is next!! *hint, hint*
Life is full of love for the Hollydale omegas and their alphas. I love how everybody's so close and how even friends of friends become family. I like that this book started out a little differently and we got the baby right off the bat. I liked seeing Grazer bond with Sammy and the three of them grow as a family. I always look forward to see what kind of magic with bring the pair together and this one did not disappoint. It was actually rather cute.
Grazer and Luke had a quick romance and then Grazer left for a job. Turns out Luke is pregnant and knows, based on conversations, that Grazer does not want to settle down and have kids. What's an Omega to do? Keep it a secret, cause that always works out.
Fast-forward almost 2 years and little Sammy is a year old and Grazer is back in town. He meets Sammy at the grocery store and things begin to click and that is where the story takes off.
I love how Grazer dove right in with Sammy and Luke apologized right away (almost).
Whilst I enjoyed this book I felt things happened too quickly, Grayson excepted Lukes explanation too easily, we didn't find out if luke stopped putting his child's picture up on YouTube, I don't know I think the book should of been longer with more explanations. Saying all that though I did enjoy Luke and Graysons story. I hope Scott's book is next.
Absolutely love the the characters are all accepting of each other, and create a loving blended family status with everyone in their group. They are so accepting , and the magical things that happen to bring two people together ❤ gives each story it's own special twist. It's great when a author has a series that keeps the beginning characters involved in the storyline throughout.
The Hollydale series ha been so enjoyable and adorable. This story is sweet with just a hint of spice. Luke and Grazer relationship is heart warming be cause it highlights how giving a second chance can pay off and bring you unimaginable happiness. I can't wait for the next book.
They just keep getting better. This was a really fun, quirky read with lots of miscommunications and false starts. But a good second chance story. The magical portion of this story was a little far out with an fortune telling egg painting Easter bunny. But was spot on for the season. So we give a little leeway. Hot steamy and baby makes 3 or is it 4. Read it and see.
Another great addition to the story. I especially liked the fact that the author was gentle on such a tough, and often triggering topic.
I do wish there was a bit more to some of the obstacles instead of just touching the surface compared to the earlier stories in the series. Despite that, it didn’t take away from an enjoyable read to the novella.
