Blaise started her journey in writing at the age of the fifteen with her first unfinished urban fantasy novel based on a popular video game series known as .Hack. From there she moved her journey into designing characters and doing concept art for various paying clients. In her older career, Blaise moved into working for the Indie Gaming industry where she did concept art for the company HollowRobot and their debut game, Johnny Reboot and various other clients. Sadly, the game didn’t go anywhere and Blaise found herself losing interest in what she had done for fifteen years.

In 2017, Blaise embarked on her first ever NaNoWriMo challenge where she finished the Paranormal Shifter Romance, Blessing of Luna which she indie published. It has then produced a second installation into the Wolfgods series titled Bane of Tenebris. Both have recently been picked up by BlackRose Writing.

Both of these books gave birth to the first of Blaise’s three businesses. The first, FyreSyde Publishing, a small press, has recently opened its doors to authors and works alongside them in the ever difficult challenge of book marketing. A running joke is Blaise considers herself an “odd duck” in the sense that she loves the marketing phase more than the writing phase of production. Her other two businesses include full-time freelance ghostwriting and the independent bookstore, GreenWood Grove Booksellers.

After falling in love with the Dresden files by Jim Butcher and later Saints & Shadows by Christopher Golden, Blaise found a new love for Urban Fantasy. Reading the beloved Vampire Files by PN Elrod prompted Blaise to initiate her next phase and begin producing paranormal detective and noir novels. Now she combines the two and loves every minute of it.

She currently lives in the hometown of Bonnie & Clyde with her husband, two adorable kids, two cats and a dog.

Please tell me I am not the only one that had Ava Max's "Sweet But Psycho" vibes from this?

From the small amount that I had read, it was hard to get by the heroine's stalker-like behavior and unsettling actions. It was too obsessive and creepy for my liking, additional to that, I felt nothing for this couple so why waste more time than I already have on a supernatural romance that is not doing much for me?

I was disappointed, to say the least. I seriously had high hopes for this. Read that blurb—it was everything! It just seemed like too much happened before we even reached the 20% mark. 'Blessing of Luna' has an interesting premise and the overall concept sounded refreshing, but it didn't transition to paper smoothly.

The author took a different approach to the typical werewolves/vampires novels that I am now used to but that itself couldn't win me over. Jill was a borderline stalker. Actually scratch the borderline—she was a stalker. As a heroine, I liked the idea of her being a badass but her thoughts and actions were more than off putting. Like how was Damien not freak out to find a strange woman sneaking into his bedroom at night to watch him sleep? I understood the attraction but that's not even low-key cute and I say a restraining order may be needed since her stalker is showing. Boy you in danger.
“It’s him. If I was honest though, I don’t really care. I’ve come to love Damien as he is."
Girl we're at 9%, you have known him for all of 2.5 seconds and now you're claiming you have fallen in love with Damien?! You have known him for a few days. What?! I understand he is the latest reincarnation of your long-lost lover that you have waited a thousand years to reunite with but something ain't right about that.

Aside from that hot mess, I didn't buy the relationship between her and Damien. There was sexual attraction sure but no real chemistry. I felt like she had a better connection with Kain and Gabriel, and they were the secondary characters.

All in all, if the author had made the heroine a little less unhinged this would have been a winner but with what was said and done so far, our girl Jill was a bit too cray-cray for me and unfortunately (but was it really?) I decided to bury this in my dropped pile because ain't nobody got time for time.

This book is a fantastic paranormal read. This is not the stereotypical werewolves and vampires story. The writer has created unique characteristics and circumstances as the setting for this story and through it all is a beautiful romance that you can't help but get swept up in. You will fall in love with these characters and this book! I definitely recommend this if you are a fan of paranormal romance.

Net Galley review:
I really wanted to like this book, I love the Moon, I love werewolves and I love love stories. Unfortunately, there was so much wrong with this book that I simply did not enjoy it.
First of all - the characters: Jill is a stalker. There is no ifs and buts about it. I understand that she is trying to coax the soul of her lover out of its (body) shell, but that can be done in different ways than following a man to his bedroom and watching him through the window. For an immortal, she is very very immature. Her actions would be understandable for a teenager/new adult who doesn't have experience in the world not a woman of hundreds of years.. Damien is whiny and immature too . He feels like he doesn't belong but I didn't feel like he even tried to belong (not saying that would be the right thing to do, it just felt like that's what he wanted but didn't want to do anything for it). I was confused as how old he was meant to be the whole time. When they meet, there are no sparks and fireworks. It's just flat and empty and weird. When Jill visits Damien in his house for the first time (through a window, mind you), he doesn't get scared and make her leave, he sits with her and chats!? What?!
Their whole relationship felt empty, I didn't feel any of their attraction, it felt like Jill had more sexual tension with a coffee cup than with Damien. They were meant to be mates, yet they were very cold and impersonal to each other, and they disappeared on each other all the time for unspecified amounts of time!
Next let's talk about the writing style. Although there was some mature content, it felt like the book was written by someone with little to no experience with relationships. I felt like we were talked down to, some part were just plainly weird, some bits were explained to the tiniest detail and some not at all, like we were suppose to know what it meant. The book altogether is very inconsistent, it starts away sooooo slow and when it finally gets to the action, it's over within a chapter. There were some sentences that I will forever remember and now use on the regular, ie "chain howl" - what I assume was meant to be a howl that reaches many wolves at the same time, we now use regularly in our group messenger; "stay in howling's touch" - what I assume is hearing distance; and lastly I will announce my pregnancy one day just like Jill: "My love, I'm with pups."
The whole time I was reading it, I had this nagging feeling at the back of my mind, saying that I know the story, and when I finally got the final battle it hit me. This was a wolf and male version of Twilight!! Except Damien didn't make friends with the vampire that was interested in him.
This book clearly did not work for me, but I have seen that it found its fan base, so good for Ramsey.
Unfortunately, I will not be looking for this series or this author again.

Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I struggled to relate to the characters and couldn't work out how old they were supposed to be. They seemed like teenagers, even Jillian who is apparently immortal and hundreds of years old. I didn't like the way that Jillian stalked Damien and I just didn't buy into the connection between them or their story. I might just be the wrong reader for this book. I'm sure other people will love it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Frustrating. Yes they profess to love each other but they are so impersonal between them. Like yes I love you but I disappear during the day and make appearance when something is wrong. I don’t see any romance at all. Everything is cold and meh. They barely talk about their feelings... where is the intense and feral love between mates? DNF too much blah and nothing romantic. Don’t bother.

"Blessing of Luna" is definitely for all those romantasy fans out there, with a big heart on wolves ah lycans, vampires with a decent portion of love, adventure and some gods in the mix.

This was my first book by the autor and what can I say - i really did love it! The story was super intriguing from the beginning and I really needed to find out what the hell Jill was all about, who Dame was and what is going on in general. The pace of the story was good, not too slow, sometimes maybe even a bit too fast, but the development of the story, of the characters, all was great.

The dynamic between Jill and Dame was great - and I was positively surprised that (I guess this was my first) a woman is the one "all-knowing" while a guy is left in the dark. And we got to read the amazing development of Dame to become braver, stronger and the leader/protector Jill and the pack needs. Also there are some steamy scenes, but not too much ;)

At the end it was a bit too much Bromance going on - I would have loved more of a balance between Jill/Dame rather than Dame and his "soul-brother". Although I liked how the author combined also this kind of love, family, friendshipt in the book.

Definitely need book 2, as I want to see and find out what happens next, especially since I really enjoyed Kaine and want to understand what's going on with him.

***

MY REVIEW:

This is the first book I've review by Blaise Ramsay. It was received by the author and RABT Book Tours and PR for an honest review.

The story premise is engaging and the characters are fairly well developed, however the story moves slow. Not the type of slow like a roller coaster with the slow fast up and down get you excited, pull you back to build the tension even more, but the kind where you want to say enough already. While this is an book with adult content, I felt as if the sentence structure and speech were written for someone who is young. It felt as if I were being talked down to, rather than being a part of the story.

Although I did enjoy it, there was confusion as to who's point of view I was looking at the Lycan world from. It seemed as if there was some point of view hopping or head hopping. Then again, it could have just been me and the fact I was trying to read right before bed. The story itself is fantastic. The female being the lead is wonderful. I'd rather she have been a strong lead with just as strong male character, but that is my preference and did not take anything away from how I reviewed the book.

This is an interesting take on the Lycan, Vampire history and I really liked it. This story should be the history of all stories going forward, it is that good. My issues were with the flow and pace which was a big detriment to the overall framework of Blessing of Luna for me. Should you get the chance, grab yourself a copy and make your own choices. Just don't do it after dark.

Damien Pierce grew up in the small town Big Timber, Montana. He always knew he was different since he seems to be able to heal himself almost instantly. He moves away when he is fifteen years old and has his own losses. Ten years later he finds himself back in Big Timber where he meets Jillian Styles.

Jillian is an immortal werewolf that has been trying to find her love, Lucius Wolf. Lucius has been reborn several times throughout the years but has been lost to Jillian. But Jillian finds Lucius in Damien and hopes that he will remember her like Lucius’s former lives. The only problem is he knows nothing about her.

But Damien and Jillian’s relationship woes are not the only thing happening. It seems a vampire lord is responsible for Lucius’ death and has come back to reignite a war between the werewolves and vampires. There is also a gad that Damien is going to have to face too.

This was a good start to a new series. It was a little rough around the edges and slow to start. I have mixed feelings about Damien and Jillian’s romance, it was hit and miss and didn’t really feel like the passionate flame it could have been. I am curious to see where this story goes from here so I will be giving the next book in the series a try.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It a little different take on werewolves. It takes place in a small town in Montana. The story revolves around Damien a 25 year old living with his foster father. They were originally from Big Timber but moved away when Damien showed strange healing power.

This is really Jillian's story. She has lived in Big Timber for several years. In fact, she is searching for her true love for hundreds of years. She knows he will be reborn again. When she sees Damien, she is sure he is the one. She is a Lycan. In this book Lycans hate werewolves and have true differences.

The story revolves around Damien finding his true self and Jillian hers. There is magic, war and love. All in all, a fascinating story.

I am so in love with everything about this novel, I love the world that Blaise Ramsay has created for us.

This one is emotional and action packed. It will tug at your heart strings and bring you hope and you will root for the characters til the very end.

These characters each have their own personalities and depth to them. None of them felt one-dimensional or forced, they all shined through as individuals.

A Wonderful Paranormal Romance that I can't get enough of.

Very good

I loved the concept of this book. The gods, the shifting, and the plot were very good. I gave it a 4 star rating because it was kinda slow moving and I thought it could use some more action parts. But I will be reading the other books in the series because I did enjoy it.

I really liked the way this book introduced the werewolf’s and vampires to the romance genre. Along with Damien not knowing what he is capable of, which makes the leading lady the stronger more powerful one! Anyone who is looking for supernatural romance that ISN’T all about a male vampire getting some weak girl to fall in love with him is going to enjoy this book. Looking forward to book 2!

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I felt this book had a slow start. But, when the story came together, it took off and I couldn't stop listening. There were different stories that all came together. I felt that Damien's true powers were not totally revealed in this book. I would assume his character will develop further in the next book. The narrator did a good job with all the different characters. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Read the last sentence in the synopsis, does that appeal to you? Because the author completely delivers on everything she promises. I mean look at that book cover, it completely screams HOTT!
The best part, this is not a one dimensional paranormal romance, there is plenty of substance, drama, and mystery laced throughout. I was pleasantly surprised with this one!

The storyline is really good, I read it in one go, it started too slow for me but when it started there were plenty of action scenes and most of the characters are very well developed.
What bothered me tho is how immature Damien was, he often reminded me of my fourteen-year-old teenager.
Jill was tough independent and strong character until the second half of the book, then she all of a sudden turned into some meak person.
Loved the Kain character, he was true from the start to the end, and the same could be said about Gabriel.
I would love to read Kain's story, he's very interested character.

“Wolf, yet not wolf…She sang our song of praise…So, my blessing, I gave to her”

While I have never read the Twilight series, Blaise Ramsey’s latest novel is certainly in a similar vein of vampire and Lycan romance. The story focuses on Jillian Styles, a Lycan, cursed to witness her lover die throughout the ages.

The novel opens, after a brief history of Lycan and vampire origin, with Jillian supposedly finding the latest reincarnation of her long-lost lover—Damien Pierce. Jillian pursues the man, hoping to make him her mate. However, their courtship only just begins before Damien’s life is threatened by a formidable vampire coven. With no choice, Jillian is forced to expose Damien to her secret life as the Lycans prepare for the imminent blood war approaching.

As someone who does not typically read romance, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The relationship between the two main characters was well done and established evenly throughout the story—making their connection more believable than some in the genre. Additionally, there was plenty of action to keep me wanting to turn the page.

The character development, for the most part, was strong. Blaise not only took the time to flesh out her main characters but supporting characters as well. Only a handful of individuals at times felt flat, which I believe was due to one of the novel’s few flaws—pacing.

These days it seems everyone is trying to turn their novels into a series. From a marketing perspective, this makes sense, but it doesn’t always lend itself to the type of story being told. Usually, the problem is too few details are spread through multiple books when a single novel is all that is needed to tell the story. The problem with Ramsey’s novel isn’t that there is too little information, but too much.

This book alone could have been broken up into two, maybe even three, novels. While it’s true the book is constantly moving, at times the story feels rushed. A character is captured then five pages later they’re freed. A character is introduced, only to be killed before we really have a chance to understand who they were.

Not everything felt rushed. As I mentioned, the romance was handled exceptionally well and the pacing for some of the storylines played out perfectly (Damien’s transformation and Chelsey’s story arc come to mind). However, others I simply wanted more.

Grammatically, I didn’t notice any flaws. Though there were a few instances where logically things didn’t line up. A character almost burned his hand, but the next line said his hand was burned. A character got up, then two paragraphs later got up again. Overall, these instances were few and far between and by no means took away from the story. Ramsey’s writing style was also clear and concise, making this a very easy read.

Overall, this was a great novel. I recommended fans of romance and fantasy definitely give this book a try. More than likely, it will have you howling for more.

Book Rank: 3.5/5
Best Scene: Stoker’s plaything (71%-73% …sorry read this on kindle so no clue on pg. numbers)
Best Quote: “Fang off.”

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I have given Blessing of Luna by Blaise Ramsay four out of five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Warning: adult content, for 18+ only
I was drawn into this paranormal action story from the first couple of chapters. I thought the plot of this book was very engaging to the reader and managed to keep me on the edge of my seat with each twist which was thrown my way.
The characters Ramsay has created were well-developed and I enjoyed learning about them as well as connecting with some of them too. I found the main characters, Jillian Styles and Damien Pierce, were made for each other. When they meet you can tell there is a deep connection between them, although it wasn't the sort of slow burner romance I normally like it was still enjoyable. However, in some parts of this book I did feel like Jillian was coming across to Damien a bit too strong. Overall I really enjoyed them being together. I enjoyed learning about the other Lycan and vampire characters too. I felt as though they all had a different voice in the book so it was easy to separate which character was whom without any confusion.
The world created by Ramsay was written superbly with incredible detail, I can still picture it all now; especially The Circle of Stones and Holt's camp. There's nothing better than when an author can conjure up a clear image of a place into the readers mind.
One part that let this book down was the grammatical errors that occurred throughout the book (although it may have just been the copy I received). The other part I thought was how slow this book was to read, there was a lack of flow when reading this story, although at times I did feel it naturally speed up when it came to an action scene.
There is a sequel to this book called Bane of Tenebris which I would love to read so I can carry on reading about this mystical world and find out what else is in store for these characters and maybe some new ones too!
I would definitely recommend this book if you're a fan of paranormal, action and steamy romance genres.

I DNF this book. I made it 65 pages in and it just wasn't working for me.
I love the idea for the book. I didn't make it far enough to really figure out who was what and how they all fit into the world, so I can comment on the world building.
Character wise, I never connected with Jill. I found the way she started her interactions with Damien to be kind of creepy and stalker like. I understand there is a history between them, but in this life they are strangers. And watching someone sleep (hello, Edward Cullen), sneaking into their room while they are sleeping to go through their things and smell them, and then dressing to try to lure them away for some one on one was just awkward and uncomfortable for me.
Then when they do meet, I didn't really feel any chemistry. Maybe some lust and borderline obsession?
And then there is Jill....she's portrayed as a kick ass, tough female. She scoffs at guys that hit on her, smirks a lot when she sees how her looks affect Damien, and then talks about "having to meet the needs of the man I like while trying to keep the lycan in me satisfied." That's how she explains being tired because she's staying up late to talk to Damien. I just don't get her at all. I like tough and I even like bitchy, but in some places she came off as having more of a superiority complex, which I didn't like.
To be completely fair, I did not get far into the book and the issues I have could have smoothed out later on, but for me, I just couldn't get interested in what was going to happen next.

*I received a copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.*

In Blessing of Luna, we follow the story of two characters, Jillian and Damien. Jillian is a Lycan, who is destined to immortality while the love of her life, who in this life is Damien, dies and is reborn into a new body carrying the same soul. A few notes on the plot/story. I enjoyed the overall story Blaise Ramsay was telling. It had elements of Vampires, Lycans, Gods, romance, and action. The story built up a little slowly for my liking. I found myself at some points thinking "you gotta give me something here…".

Characters are a critical point that can make or break a book in my opinion. These characters seemed… awkward to me. I enjoyed Jillian- she was headstrong, had direction, and acted according to her age. Damien on the other hand, is a struggle. He needed constant tending too for his safety. And while this books flips the script of alpha male and the damsel in distress, I've never been a fan of a damsel that can't do anything to help themselves! Example: I know these scary, crazy vampires are trying to kill me. I also know they can't enter my house and can only come out at night. So excuse me while I exit my safe home at night, then become SHOCKED when I am attacked. It was for these reasons I found myself struggling to connect with these characters.

Overall, I'm giving the book three stars. I thought the story was interesting, but it left much to be desired in terms of character development.

Blessing of Luna is one of those books that flips trope norms on it's head. In this story, the female is more of the role of the protector, with the knowledge and skills needed, and the male is somewhat in the dark and needing her help. I really loved the world created here and the characters, I wanted to keep reading to see what would happen next.

The reason for only three stars though is it felt awkward in places in it's execution. From the description, I thought the characters were older than they actually were and in many ways this felt like more of a New Adult book than anything else, but you can't tell that from the description. I also like mystery, but I felt a little more information in the beginning would have been helpful to keep me pulling me out of the story as I tried to think through if I was forgetting information not already given in trying to understand why some of the characters were acting as they were. Timing was also strange in certain parts where you got the sense more time passed than could have passed, so this was hard to follow.

All of that being said, I plan to look for more books by this author and give them a try as well!

Thank you to Black Rose Writing and NetGalley. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a unique spin on the typical werewolf/vampire book, with oodles of mythology and world building.

Jillian is immortal, made so by a curse because her fated mate is someone meant to bring balance to the very unbalanced world/war between werewolves (lycans) and vampires. He is reincarnated randomly into new bodies, and it's one such new body that shows up in her town in the form of Damien. Damien knows something is off about him, but doesn't quite understand the extent of that. Through a mix of a bit of stalking, threats on his life, one very understanding father, and very petty friends, Damien finds himself in the middle of a real war.

We start this book in somewhat normal territory, with Damien starting school, getting to reconnect with childhood friends, getting over some trauma, but that rapidly escalates into fated mate, fighting for your life territory, complete with tents and prophecies. While I am still a little unclear on Damien's complete set of powers, he certainly has a lot of weight on his shoulders. The book took us on a whole journey - what felt like years worth of time for Damien. As the setup for a series, this certainly delivered on world building.

Although the vampires in Blessing of Luna are nothing like the vampires in The Twilight Saga it did remind me so much of The Twilight Saga in that it has the same sort of feel to it with all the girls that want Damien for their own. Yeah our sweet little Damien has a few other girls who what him in their life and are willing to kill for him.

Blessing of Luna has a sweet little romance that will just sweep you away right into the middle of it causing you to lose all sense of what is going on around you. It has just enough action to keep you reading and rooting for our characters and speaking of character they are all well with the exception of the vampires are wonderful. They all care deeply for each other and they know how to make you care for them.

Blessing of Luna is a great introduction into this new world of Lycan and Vampires one in which I can’t wait to know more of meaning I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the Wolfgods series Bane of Tenebris.

I would highly recommend Blessing of Luna to anyone who likes the paranormal worlds that consist of vampires, werewolves or lycan as they prefer to be called. Oh and also if you like The Twilight Saga or even The Vampire Diaries then give Blessing of Luna a try.

I absolutely love stories about vampires and werewolves so I was excited to start this new series. Sadly I was highly disappointed with this one and won't be reading the next one. Not only was I incredibly bored and found myself easily distracted while trying to read it it was way too stalkerish for my taste. I mean seriously we start out with the main female character, Jill, breaking into the main male character, Damien's bedroom so she can go through his things and watch him sleep. And somehow when Damien wakes up one night to see Jill in his room he thinks this is completely normal and procedes to fall in love with her. I really should have DNFed it but I struggled on til the end in hopes that it would get better because I was curious to see how the big battle would turn out, however that was a waste as it was very tame and short for all the buildup that was put into it. It felt rushed as if the author realized she was close to the final page count and needed to end it quickly.

Author Ramsay drops readers into the middle of a centuries-old cold war between vampire covens and werewolf clans in this respectable paranormal romance offering, featuring a reluctant hero who must come into his lycanthrope power quickly to save his loved ones. This reader would have appreciated seeing our hero establish his agency earlier in the book, as through most of it we follow him being swept along by forces outside of his control. But by the end--and with a little help from his friends--our hero musters the fortitude to lead his clan to a bittersweet victory over the vampires' vicious skirmish. Epic battles between the opposing factions surely lay ahead, into which our hero will surely lead his clan once again despite his own misgivings.

I need to be blunt, because as a reader, you deserve to have honest reviews of what to expect of the book. So here it goes, I don’t why or how this book left Wattpad or any of those other kind of sites, but my point is, this book shouldn’t have been published. I don’t think I got further than 20 pages in before I DNF’d.

The world building wasn’t bad, and that’s the only reason as to why I’ve given it two stars, but COME ON, the main male character sees the main female character for the first time at college across the other side of the courtyard, and then DOESN’T find it completely insane that the same girl has climbed through his window that night and every other night since he’s moved into town...?!?!?!

And don’t get me started on the fact that it is effectively a werewolf version of the Twilight saga....

Oh man, I’m super disappointed with this read. I wanted great things from this book. The prologue had given me so much hope as well. Smh...

I was given an e- copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Blaise Ramsay has done a great job with creating characters the reader will feel strongly about. Maybe not always a good kind of strong, but evoking emotion in the reader is good regardless.

The characters are very well developed, complex, and multi dimensional which allows the reader to become invested.

Ramsay's writing style is very direct. There is no skirting around things.

I enjoyed the Romance aspect. These characters had a connection that felt real. I liked the way it developed and didn't feel forced.

The overall flow of the novel was very well executed. The pacing was great, it didn't feel rushed or like it dragged. It had the perfect flow.

I liked this one, but to be completely honest I am more of a Vampire lover.  I would highly recommend this one to any lover of Werewolves or for those who are maybe fence sitters as to where to place their loyalties.  Lots of action, lots of lovemaking.  If I loved Werewolves more than I do, I would have been in ecstasy over this one.  I will still give this one a 5 star even though it was not my cup of tea, it is still a very great book

Blessings of Luna (Wolf Gods #1) was a great read by Blaise Ramsay. Damien doesn't know why, but he has always been able to heal himself. After ten years away from home, his dad moves him back. He meets Jillian who changes everything for him. I loved reading Damien and Jillian's story and can't wait to read more of this great series.
