Mapleville Omegas #5

Cocoa with His Omega

Rate this book
Sometimes the best things in life begin with a blizzard and a cup of hot chocolate.

World famous athlete River is not your typical alpha, which made finding a mate far from easy. As a professional skier he owns the slopes and wears a confidence not found among the social-normative omega. When an injury risks his career, he hobbles back to his family cabin to regroup and recuperate.

Bestselling mystery author Forrest has had romance troubles of his own. After yet another breakup for not being “alpha enough,” Forrest spontaneously decides to rent a cabin outside the small town of Mapleville where he will both get away from the city and complete an overdue novel, effectively getting his agent off his back.

River was expected to spend the week alone in his family cabin, unaware his cousin Maria had already rented out the place. When sexy novelist Forrest shows up, they instantly combust, first in anger and then in lust. One cup of hot cocoa as the snow begins to intensify becomes two, becomes a weekend trapped with each other, their own insecurities, and Forrest’s cat Snowflake.

When the snow lets up and they go their separate ways, neither of them know that River isn’t leaving alone—he is carrying Forrest’s baby. Can two stubborn men find their way back to each other and create their own happily ever after?

Hot Cocoa with his Omega is a chocolatey sweet with knotty heat male pregnancy romance featuring a sexy skier, a smoldering author, and a fluffy white ball of fur who loves to steal hearts.

This was book 5 in the Mapleville Omegas " series. Bestselling mystery author Forrest gets a text from his date breaking up with him on New Years Eve he can write a romantic scene but is having problems with his own love life. River is a world famous athlete who is faced with a career ending injury he goes to his families cabin to recover only to find out he is not alone. I liked both of these characters Forrest isn't your typical alpha and his past boyfriends have told him that he isn't alpha enough. River has had the same problem he doesn't act like other omega. When these two have sex they have an accident. How does ones birth control implant come out? Each one knows that they have a good thing going on but both are too scared to say and when the blizzard is over River leaves and goes to stay with his cousin Maria. Forrest sets aside the book he is working on and rights a romance novel which his agent doesn't like but it turns out to be a hit. River finds out that he is pregnant but doesn't tell Forrest. This was a good read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Another in the Mapleville series. A lack of communication an some bad weather throw the MC's together in mountain cabin during a snow storm. As much of a spoiler as you get from me. I love this series and this is no exception. Quirky characters, odd situations and romance in the air. A little bit sexy and a lot fun.

Skiing meets writing

River gets hurt on the slopes and heads for the family cabin. Forest rents the cabin no knowing that River will be there. Good romantic read.

I couldn’t imagine too many things better than being holed up in a cabin in the woods while snow piled up outside. I could certainly understand the appeal for Forrest as a writer with a deadline and River as a professional skier with an injured leg. The excitement for me, of course, was going to be watching this alpha and omega navigate their time together.
