Hard work

This book combines research and personal experiences to help the reader to examine why they think and feel the way they do. He offers exercises designed to increase happiness and well-being but it really is up to the reader to do them if they want positive results. We are so conditioned to see the worst in our lives, other people and in our relationships that it's refreshing to find a book that helps us see the positive and teaches how to increase the joy in our lives. No one ever told us being happy would take hard work, but it's worth it to smile a little more and love ourselves.

"Destination Happiness" is a quick, easy read focused, naturally, on happiness (surprise!).

I would say that as a Christian, my premise of life is slightly different. Reklau makes happiness the most important thing, or the "ultimate end that we pursue." He quotes Aristotle, who said, "“Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life. The whole aim and end of human existence.” For me as a Christian, my "ultimate end" comes from the Westminster Shorter Catechism: "Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever."

Still, I found quite a bit I could apply to my own Christian life: from the characteristics of the most successful people, to how to create a positive situation for myself.

I do think the book could stand a bit more proofreading, just to correct a few grammatical inconsistencies -- but otherwise, a solid read that you can easily implement.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. All opinions are my own.

Insanely long book I have read in long time.

Human craves the one thing most want in their life. The pursuit of the ultimate freedom- happiness. Happiness transcends beyond everything that we mortal ever wanted. The mere belief or something cause us to piles on that belief with proof even if that belief is so wrong.

The priming of brain allow us to be the version of ourselves and allows us to experience the highest altar of emotion-happiness.

This book changed my life! If you actually "do" everything it asks you will definitely notice a difference. I will re-read this so that I won't forget. I also formulated a chart so that I will do certain things each day. Wonderful, life changing book that's worth it's weight in gold … if not more.

Te pone a pensar
