From the author of adult-coloring sensations Botanical Wonderland and Desert Wonderland, as well as the bestselling Color Workshop, comes a stunning guide to drawing a garden full of flowers.
Rachel Reinert is the perfect artist to explain the intricacies of drawing flowers. With the straightforward, step-by step instructions that are the hallmark of her teaching style, In Bloom covers more than 30 flowers from around the world, from beloved tulips, roses, violets, and tiger lilies to the more exotic proteas, kangaroo paws, and birds of paradise. Featuring matte paper stock and instructions on coloring your drawings, this is an exceptionally beautiful book with a decidedly modern feel.
Rachel is an artist, author and educator based in San Diego, CA. Her extensive travels with her husband have shaped her style. She has always been transfixed by the natural world, at times loosely imitating its lines, shapes and colors through paintings and drawings. She has shown her work nationally and internationally, creating paintings for individuals, interior designers, businesses and public spaces. Her fabric design has been seen on the runway in Perth, Australia.
Her focus on biomorphic and botanical shapes has lead to her to create three coloring books that can be found in retailers around the country. From desert skulls and mystical women, to succulents and woodland scenes - she loves to create little worlds that people can get lost in and find their own joy in coloring.
This book is amazing! The illustrations are gorgeous. I was looking for something to walk me through drawing step by step and this did exactly that. I am NOT an artist but I can follow directions - I was blown away by what I was able to draw this guide!!
My husband bought be this book with a gift certificate from his parents. I first began drawing florals in April of 2017. Since then I have been obsessed with books on how to draw and/or paint florals. I want to learn everything I can to make my art better. This book is breathtakingly beautiful. I love every part of it. Rachel’s instructions are clear and concise. I can’t wait to sit down and work my way through the entire book. If you want to learn how to draw flowers do yourself a favor and get this book. I can’t recommend it enough. I absolutely love it.
