I'm just a simple small town country girl, haunted by Alpha Men who talk in my head 24 hours a day.
I knew I wanted to write when it became clear I couldn't be happy with just viewing other people's stories. I always wanted to rewrite them.
Like why did Jack have to die? Why couldn't Rose move her butt over? Because that was a huge piece of wood she was on, people.
Happy Endings should be fought for, but they should always happen. Mine might take some curves and twists, but they eventually get there.
Having published over fifty stories, it always feels surreal that this is my life. Hitting USA Today had me crying for days, but nothing is more special than hearing from readers that they loved one of my books.
This was actually one of the better books from this crossover series for me. My only complaint it I wish Allen had grown a pair and went after Jessie instead of her having to chase after him. Especially after the extremely douchey way he left her after taking her virginity <--- and YES...we have yet another virgin in this book. Someone hates me today...*lol*
Yikes. I pretty much inhaled this story. I just couldn’t put it down.
Allen is broken. He has reached rock bottom and fought hard to get where he is. When he sees Jessie he feels the attraction. She does too. Unfortunately Allen doesn’t believe he deserves happiness. He thinks Jessie deserves more. Can she break down the walls??
This is a great quick read. I absolutely loved it. Really need to read more of this authors books.
Okay, I'm going to repeat myself because I said that before. It will be almost like copy/paste. Lol. I love Until series by Aurora Rose Reynolds, so to have another book, one of few more in that kindle world, is amazing. And OMG this story... Allen and Jessie were so cute together I can't even... I just wanted to pinch theirs cheeks and hug them tight. But it doesn't mean that I didn't wanted to shake Allen sometimes. Stubborn, beautiful, broken man. I'm glad he got this... A beautiful beginning.
Meh. I wasn't moved. I didn't hate it but I didn't really feel anything for either character. Perhaps it was the writing, perhaps it was the length (a bit on the short side) but I just didn't feel connected enough to the story to really care if these two people got together.
I was so excited to get an ARC for this book. I love the Until series and was so excited to here that all these wonderful authors were joining in on the "BOOM".
Jessie owned her own shop and lived a quiet life tring to make a go on her own. She meets Allen when his sister brings him in for some beard cream. The moment Allen looks at Jessie he just knows. They both have this moment where they realize they have found there other half.
Allen has had a hard life. He has battled and won his his fight with addiction. When he first meets Jessie he knows she is the one. He just doesn't feel good enough for her. He tries to do the right thing and walk away, but in the end follows his heart.
The epilogue was awesome!! My favorite Until couple makes an appearance. This book was such a sweet story of over coming addiction and have your happily ever after! I recommend this book to Jordan Marie lover's and those who love the "BOOM".
Perfect!!! This novella may be small but packs them emotional punch of a book three times it's size. Allen, big, tattooed, tough, emotionally scarred , addict is knocked on his adorable rear by unassuming store owner Jessie and the fireworks start. Like most of Jordan's books Allen is all Alpha male who makes his own rules in society but when it comes to true love he will be owned by this sweet and gentle lady fate has thrown his way. Jessie doesn't know what hit her but can it last? No author reaches a reader's emotions the way Jordan Marie does! She has you laughing one sentence and sobbing the next. This book has it all passion, romance, laughter, a little heart break and of course a,HEA. Grab it and enjoy..you won't be sorry
Ever since reading "Unjustified Demands", which is Allan's older sister, Ana's story with Roman, I've been dying for Jordan Marie to write about Allan and I finally got my wish!
Allan is an alpha male, with a dark past, which starts as a small child 'till adulthood, around 22 years old when Roman finds him and instead of killing him for stealing from him, decides to help him turn his life around... it's been 4 years since then and he's sober but he still has nightmares of everything that happened to him and what he did while being on drugs, yet he continues living, hoping one day he can redeem himself. He's also happy that his sister, Ana and little Roman Jr. are treated and protected like a queen and prince by her husband and his father, Roman <3
Allan thinks he'll never have what Ana has with Roman; that a man like him doesn't deserve something good but fate has other plans for him when he meets Jessie, the love of his life, his BOOM! The moment these two touch hands, the famous electricity of the BOOM EFFECT occurs, sealing both their fates', no matter how much they fight it; and trust me they do, especially Allan, when you're predestined for one another, nothing is getting in the way :)
Jessie was a great character and I loved how when she truly found out about Allan's past, she didn't turn away, like Allan thought would happen, but turned towards him and hold him, forever <3 She was a sweet, independent, strong yet vulnerable young girl who had no family but the moment she met Allan, she knew with everything inside her, that he would be special for her and through some obstacles, which lasts a little bit so don't worry guys, their separation was very, very short (and it lasted weeks because Jessie after talking to Ana, has to decide if she wants to take the risk with Allan, and this happened before Allan told her all of his dark past) with no other man or woman for them, which I liked :)
I loved the epilogues so much! Thank you, Jordan Marie for not only writing an amazing scene between Asher & November (from the Until Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds) and Allan & Jessie and their similar caveman ways to carry their women ;) but also for giving the readers and fans, Allan's story and happily ever after <3
This was another great addition to ARR's HAPPILY EVER ALPHA KINDLE WORLD :) Jordan Marie always writes good stories and I'm glad she was chosen as one of the authors' to participate in Aurora Rose Reynolds's Kindle Until World because Until I Saw You was awesome and beautiful <3 :)
Unfortunately i didn’t feel the boom in this story. It’s there for Roman and Ana but I didn’t feel any connection for Jessie and Allen. I felt this story was a little depressing. The epilogue was good though
A wonderful story added to the series in Kindle World. The story is about Allen and Jessie. They are two people who are at different ends of the spectrum. One is broken and feels undeserving of anything good for himself. Love for a mate, is beyond his possiblility. A love for a family member is something that he feels he is undeserving of. So when he feels the tingling sensation for Jessie, he wants to run the other way. Jessie is alone with only herself. She has tried to date but nothing has worked out. She has decided to focus on her business for as long as she can keep it open. Then she get a family of customers in her shop and a man staring at her, but she also notices he doesn't want to look at her. The woman in the group notices it also and makes an effort to draw him to make a purchase, which intails Jessie's help with recommending a product. In doing so she feels a tingling sensation and a need to touch him... I enjoyed reading about these characters and was greatly surprised at how much the author was able to make the storyline blend with Aurora Rose Reynolds, Until Series. Thank the Kindle World for this to be made available to happen.
This cute short is where Jordan Marie's Filthy Florida Alpha series meets Aurora Rose Reynolds's Until November. Allen is Ana's brother and Ana and her husband Roman's story was in the book Unjustified Demands.
Allen, Ana, Roman and their son little Roman are in St. Augustine, Florida and happen upon Jessie's store where she sells natural products such as shampoo, conditioner, etc. Ana drags Allen into the store to find something that will precondition her beard. Allen and Ana meet and Boom!
This one was a pretty good story where Allen is feeling that he doesn't deserve Ana because of his past. There is a cameo snuck in here with Asher and November.
I really enjoyed this one! I will admit I was a little confused about the characters since I haven't read Roman and Ana's book. This one kinda goes along like the reader already knows them... But either way I still enjoyed it. I liked Jesse and Allen together. I also have the urge to reread Until November after the cameo of November and Asher. It's been years since I read their book and I think it's time to revisit old friends!
I love a story that can pull me in, wrap me up in the sweetness and feelings that will leave me smiling after. I loved Jessie, sweet, shy yet determined. Allen is strong and quiet but you can feel his intensity. This is a great read, short but so full!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I have never read a book where the main characters say each other’s names so much. It’s literally like every sentence. I became so focused on that, that it took me out of the story. Very distracting.
I'm a huge Jordan Marie fan, and I love Aurora Rose Reynolds, so the two of them teaming up and pairing their characters in ARR's Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World promises one heck of a BOOM! I love Jordan's dark, brooding, broken bad-boy heroes, and I couldn't wait to see who she'd bring into ARR's world.
Allen is Ana's brother from Unjustified Demands, and he was not exactly a good guy in that book, but if anyone could redeem this bad boy, it's Jordan Marie. Knocked right of his feet at the first glimpse of Jessie, Allen finally experiences that BOOM that his brother-in-law, Roman, talked about. Jessie is sweet, innocent and everything that Allen doesn't feel like he deserves.
Jordan Marie's addition to the Happily Ever Alpha Kindle World was true to her style. Emotional, sexy and full of bad boy turned good redemption, she gave her readers a memorable story in Until I Saw You.
I’m pretty sure as soon as I saw this cover, I was hooked. I didn’t care what the story line was, all I knew was I needed to read this couple’s story. And it was everything I imagined it could be and more. Story Line: Jessie is a small shop owner. Allen is a recovering addict. They meet when he comes to her store with his sister and brother in law. Their eyes meet, sparks fly, and thus begins their story. But their story isn’t perfect. Jessie is shy and modest but super feisty. And I love it. Allen is covered in tattoos, rugged and all things bad boy. So, obviously, they are complete opposites. Yet they are drawn to one another with our beloved “boom” effect. However, there are obstacles that these two need to overcome. One very large roadblock is Allen’s past. I don’t want to give anything away, but reading about what he went through brought true tears to my eyes. No one should have been put through the hardships he did. So it is no wonder he feels unworthy of pure and sweet Jessie. I’m not going to lie, at one point I wanted to kick Jessie in the shins. But luckily for us readers, these two finally find their HEA. And word to the wise, do NOT skip out on the two epilogues. They are dynamite. Interaction: Allen’s character makes me want to give him a giant huge at least a dozen times throughout the book. He is stuck in head of not feeling worthy. And Jessie, bless her heart, is oblivious to just how deep Allen’s pain runs. But in her defense, he doesn’t tell her what he’s fighting off until much later. When she does find out, I’m really not a fan of her initial reaction. Also not a fan of how long it takes her to sort her shit out. But I’m going to leave it at that, so you can be the judge of how Jessie handles Allen’s demons. Laundry: Allen and Jessie’s boom is so damn fantastic that I’m pretty sure any laundry they engage in will be incredible. I felt their pull to one another deep in my bones. So when they came together, it was so toe curlingly (yes I know that’s not a word) amazing, that there’s no way I wouldn’t love it. Allen was perfect. Jessie was adorable. And the laundry was so freaking hot. That’s all you need to know 😉 Depth: I feel like a good portion of the books I’ve read in the Happily Ever Alpha world have drama focused on the female’s side. It was a nice change of pace to read about the male’s hang ups. However, reading about someone who is recovering from drug abuse, that’s tough. It hit home for me. My hubby had his issues prior to us dating, so I felt for Allen all the more. I’ve witnessed first hand when someone doesn’t feel like they deserve happiness. And Jordan Marie wrote his character and struggle beautifully. Because there is beauty in the journey. One day, you find that one person who makes all the heartache and struggles worth it. And in that moment, you realize you’re free from your past. And that’s exactly what happened for Allen and Jessie. It was perfect. Thank you Jordan Marie for writing a love story that touched my heart and curled my toes. This was my first JM read and I’ll be back for more. I can’t wait to read Ana and Roman’s story! Pick up Until I Saw You on kindle world April 3. You won’t be able to put it down. And add it to your Goodreads TBR list now!
I have been worshipped at the altar of “The BOOM” since reading Aurora Rose Reynolds first Boom-novel Until Novemeber. The Boom ARR creates with her characers is big, beautiful, unbreakable, ever-lasting and something we all wish would happen to us…especially the alpha males! Jordan Marie was invited into the Boom-world and has made another lasting mark on the legend of the BOOM. I cannot tell you how much I loved Allen (previously featured in Unjustified Demands—his sister’s Ana’s book) and Jessie’s story. It had all the original boom factors that ARR’s books have in them—insta-love, insta-lust, insta-caveman tendancies…you know, all the things that you tick off the box when making up your ideal dream man. Allen has a dark background and even though he feels the boom, he tries to protect Jessie by letting her go. Obviously, he never heard of the boom, so when he felt it he didn’t know it was futile to resist. I love seeing Ana and Roman settled in life and their love burning as bright as ever. Asher and November make an appearance in the book that is totally Boom-worthy! If you’ve read their book, their appearance is flawlessly Maysonesque. I cut my ‘boom’ teeth on Asher and November and quickly devoured everything “Boom”-ified afterwards. Jordan Marie held true to ARR’s BOOM factor and has written a great boom-worthy book in Until I Saw You. Thanks for staying true to the earth-shattering boom kinda love, Jordan! You will not be disappointed reading this book! Although to get the full details of Allen’s horrific past and Ana’s road to love, be sure to read Unjustified Demands by Jordan Marie!
I was pulled right into this super short story. The story has pain, and sweet love.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading them first if you want the full stories of the Until series by Aurora Rose Reynolds as these novellas take place in the same series: Until November (Until, #1) Until Trevor (Until, #2) Until Lilly (Until, #3) Until Nico (Until, #4) Until July (Until Her #1) Until Jax (Until Him #1) Until June (Until Her #2) Until Ashlyn (Until Her #3) Until Sage (Until Him #2) Until Harmony (Until Her #4)
This is Jessie and Allen’s story. Allen meets Jessie when he goes into her shop. He falls for her right away. But he just knows she deserves better then him. His past is a dirty mess that he knows she does not need to be around. But will she prove stronger then him about the secrets in his past? After all those things are into the far past and he is a better man now. Can he accept her love and bring her into his life or will he run from her?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
My review might be the anomaly amongst the majority here, however, it has to be said. I didn't quite enjoy this book when compared to the other books from this ARR's kindle world series that I've read so far. Where's infamous BOOM? Where's the OTT Alpha trait? Lastly, where are the interactions between ARR's Mayson characters and no, just having a small scene with Asher and November is such a throwaway, an afterthought! I don't feel any connection with this story and ARR's Until series. Not at all. Quite disappointing.
Don't get wrong, if you take out the fact that this was supposed to be set within ARR's Until series then yes, this was a really good book. The angst, the emotional wringer that the characters go through was heartbreaking. Allen was such a tortured hero that tried really hard to redeemed himself, unfortunately he is not ARR's BOOM hero material which this book should be based upon. That is why it was a disappointing read for me.
Jessie and Allen.. . I could never forget their names because they say them in every sentence. Hi Allen. Hi Jessie, How are you Allen? I'm great, Jessie. How are you, Jessie? I'm glad you asked, Allen. I'm doing just fine too, Allen. That's fantastic Jessie. The weather is great, isn't it, Jessie? It sure is, Allen. Let's go outside, Allen. I just couldn't handle it all. Like, we weren't going to forget who was who, there was only 4 people and a child through the entire story. One random guy and Asher and November popped in at the end, though they didn't seem like Asher and November to me. The dialogue or the way Asher interacted with either of them.... I also didn't know the backstory of Allen or Roman and his pet, but I can't make myself go try to figure out if they have a story... I'm also not sure how old these people were, but they didn't seem like adults to me. Sadly, this one just didn't work for me.
When I seen the chance to read an Arc of this book I jumped on it! A follow up to Aurora Rose Reynolds amazing Until Series author Jordan Marie brought back Ana And Roman from the Until Ana book but this book focuses on Anas brother Allen, I hated this guy in the Original story as many other readers did he was a drug addict and lowlife that repeatedly done truly nasty things to get his next fix. When this book started I was completely entranced from the first few pages. Jessie is such a loveable character, independent girl living in Florida working so hard at making it with her new business but one look at Allen and she’s knocked sideways. After about 25% I was in team Allen and rooting for him to finally find that eternal peace he deserves after all he’s had to deal with in his lifetime. Can’t thanks Aurora for introducing us such to such incredible authors and letting them give us another little taste of an incredible series!
She has changed everything. Being messed up with a load of ugly baggage is something Allen just can't get over... even now, years later after cleaning up his act he feels he's unworthy of anything, especially love... when it literally knocks him off his feet the moment he sets eyes on a cute, skittish young girls who exhumes innocence. Can he let go of the monster he used to be and actually create a new life without allowing the darkness of his past to consume him? A sweet romance about letting go of the poison inside you, moving forward and claiming the woman your heart can't live without. 4 Soothing Stars for "Until I Saw You"... where miracles do exist!
4.5 stars Another great addition to this world. The only reason I took off a 1/2 star is because Jessie had to be the one to "man up" and go get her man....I prefer the male character to do it. I loved their banter on the nick name he gave her. . . and I'm definitely going to read Ana and Roman's story.
He's had a rough beginning but his one is around the corner. The one that will bring him too his knees but can he overcome his pass and find a happy ending. Love seeing the crew from until November.
Great story. Safety: There is little talk of rape, but it's not spelled out or descriptive. It was years ago. Great read. Little push/pull and 3 week separation
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I'm giving this one, a very generous three stars. I didn't like this book, but at the same time I didn't hate it.
While reading ARR's books, the men are so alpha and the BOOM is an instantaneous connection between the characters. When it comes to Jordan Marie's version of the BOOM, there was not connection and the fact that Allen could stand to be without Jessie for a month? No that's not the BOOM I want to read about. I know with some of these kindle world books, they are crossovers from the authors other series, however, usually you can read the kindle world books and not get lost or feel like you have missing information. That's not the case with this one. There's a whole backstory to Allen, that unless you know all about it you're left kind of wondering "WTF".
I'm also one of those readers who look forward to seeing interactions with these new characters and the ones we love so much in the kindle worlds. For instance, Allen and Jesse with ARR's Mayson men and women. However, I have to say I feel cheated with this story because there was no interaction or connection to ARR's world until the epilogue. It felt like the author threw that in at the last minute because she thought "Oh hell I'm suppose to be writing within this world, not my own."
