Mike Dellosso is the author of numerous novels of suspense, including Kill Devil, Centralia, Darkness Follows, Darlington Woods, and Scream. Mike is a popular conference and workshop teacher and an adjunct professor of creative writing. He lives in Hanover, PA, with his wife and five daughters. Mike is also a healthcare worker and survivor of colon cancer.

This is a different take on an end times story. I can’t say much without giving away spoilers but I will say the story is set after The Rapture, or the Taking, as Dellosso’s characters refer to it in the story. Andy Myers is different. He’s self-described as freak looking which I never quite understood why but he has some special powers. He meets Missy, who is a blond twenty-something. Andy perceives he is to protect her in this barren world which is getting back on its feet a number of years after The Taking. There is still a wildness like the Wild West of the 1800s and Andy and Missy meet many who want to hurt them. She’s on a mission to get to Maine. She’s not quite sure why she needs to get there but she is determined.

It reminded me a little of the wildness of The Walking Dead as so many seemingly normal people want to kill them but Missy also has a special power, one she doesn’t understand. But unless your Supergirl it’s hard to stop a bullet.

This is a road trip with a difference in a world where fear rules. But our two heroes find something stronger. Can they survive until they reach the end of their journey even though they’re being hunted?

Fascinating story which left me thinking. Great storytelling once again from Dellosso. Good character building amongst some interesting themes.

It’s a relatively short novel so is quick to read especially with Dellosso’s fast pace.

I just let out that big contented sigh after reading a book by this author. I'll not tell the synopsis as most reviewers do that. This was a well written book with great characters. I loved them. They had special talents and didn't know why until nearly the end. I wondered throughout the book why these talents. I loved it when I found out why.
Good fiction authors that can up with original ideas in this genre are amazing. This book was definitely original. Amongst all that in not a preachy way I found repentance, forgiveness, love and most of all, FAITH. What a great read. Another favorite book by this author. I noticed a few other things that make me think there may be a sequel. I'm ready.

Andy Mayer is running from a past he desperately wants to escape, but has no idea what the future holds. He meets a blind girl named Missy who is in possession of a quite mysterious gift and she seemingly knows the direction Andy should take. She also goes with him. The landscape is post apocalyptic and it seems that everywhere they go, someone is following them, intent on ending their lives. They have no idea why, either. They are fighting to get to Maine, unknowing that they will come face to face with a power so evil and great that they will have to muster every effort to defeat it. Then maybe they will know the true reason for their journey.

Wow! This book started out captivating my interest and did not let up until I read the last word. Totally engrossing. I finished it in less than a day. It was that good. Mike Dellosso has long been a favorite of mine and I was very happy to see he had a new book out. He is in top form here. I was completely enthralled and delighted at the ending. This is a spectacular book which I highly recommend.

Horrendous circumstances have made an outcast out of Andy, who's been traveling solo through this post-apocalyptic world. But he's no longer alone after he meets Missy, a blind woman with an inexplicable gift in Midnight is My Time, a novel by author Mike Dellosso.

I've read ChristFic novels about end times before, and while some aspects of this story were pretty predictable to me, it turned out not to be something I would've expected on the whole. It uses a couple of theological elements in ways I haven't seen before in fiction.

Now, dangerous setups feel contrived to me when they hinge on someone walking into a situation that doesn't make the most sense for the character, which happens a time or two here. I also think some repetitiveness, unsurprising minor villains, and places where the narrator states the obvious dulls some moments that could've been sharper.

My interest waned through a few slower parts, and though the main characters aren't supposed to know their purpose for some time, I'm not sure the story ever makes the point of their purpose too clear. Perhaps the full significance is dependent on the reader's prior biblical knowledge, or there may be a sequel coming.

In any case, I think the read does get stronger as it goes along, and I really liked the messages about memories that haunt us and pivotal choices we make about ourselves. This was my first time reading this author, and I plan to do so again.

An apocalyptic world. A troubled man. A gifted blind woman.

Andy Mayer is on the run. After a run-in at a diner, Andy realizes trouble follows him wherever he goes. Missy is blind and experiences a strange phenomenon when provoked and people end up dead.  She and Andy come together and agree that they must go to Maine.

A new take on end times prophecy, Mike Dellosso's "Midnight Is My Time" focuses on the two witnesses.  On their journey to Maine, they encounter dangerous obstacles.  They realize there is a plan for their life and keep on toward what they feel is their main goal.

Dellosso always delivers on stories that shine light on darkness.This end time story will keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat.

This was a mixed bag. It had some good examples of how people became after the rapture, and many were demon possesed. But there was also unscriptural basis for the two main characters.

Well, this was different, that's for sure. On one hand, I'm glad I read it, as the author certainly puts a different spin on things, leaving you with things to think about. on the other hand, there was a great deal of violence in the book, and I don't like that. Because of that, it was hard to read or get into. I'm afraid I can't recommend this one.

Mason. Cindy (waitress) ask Andy Mayer what he wanted to eat.
Jason (miner) was being obnoxious & didn’t like Andy sitting in his booth.
It didn’t end well for him/friends.
Andy was sound asleep when Missy (gifted/blind woman) nudged him with her cane & woke him up.
Colin (25+, truck driver) gave the 2 of them a ride.
PA. Merlin’s diner. Andy, & Missy (21) got dumped off & had breakfast.

Colin & his redneck thugs had comeback for revenge on Andy.
An elderly man gave the 2 of them his Toyota PU. He would not see another day.
Andy had got run off the road & wrecked the truck. The group had caught up with them.
It didn’t go well for the 2 of them, but they survived. He stole a PU & they were on their way again.
They picked up Trevor (19, hitchhiker).
St. Vincent’s Catholic HS was now a transients/homeless shelter.
Tim greeted the 3 of them.
The next morning Trevor, Jordan (Trevor’s friend, Greensboro, NC), & Missy had taken the truck.
Belle (13) invited Andy (KY) along for the ride in her SUV to get Missy back.
Andy, & Belle shared memories of The Taking. Millions of PPL all walks of life just disappeared.
Then it was The Event.
Andy, & Belle found the cabin where Trevor, Jordan, & Missy were hold up.
Jordan had taken off. It was just Trevor & Andy.
Trevor was about to kill Andy, when something remarkable/unexpected happened.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written paranormal book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great paranormal movie, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

Mike Dellosso offers a post-apocalyptic novel that challenges us to look into our deepest selves and find our purpose in “Midnight is My Time.”

It’s 10 years after The Event, or what some call The Taking and what today’s Christians would refer to as the Rapture. Andy Mayer finds himself on the road in central Pennsylvania, inexplicably drawn to travel northeast. He’s not sure where he’s going or why he’s going or how he’s going to get there.

Along the way he meets Missy, a young blind woman who can’t see his freakish appearance left behind from a childhood accident. The two quickly learn to rely on one another and trust each other as more and more people filled with evil intentions come after them.

As they stumble upon others who help and not hinder their journey, they must come to terms with their different and unique abilities — and learn to overcome the battles that rage within them and open themselves to their true natures.

With “Midnight is My Time,” Dellosso brings another great thriller with a paranormal spin, much in the vein of novels by Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti. He instills just enough creepy and unexplainable elements to keep the reader intrigued. He also puts a different spin on the End Times described in the Bible’s book of Revelation, and how the world will be after Christians are taken up to Heaven.

“Midnight is My Time” also offers several great life lessons and important themes to remember — that we all have a plan and a purpose; that we can be haunted by memories if we keep feeding them, but that we have the power to overcome our past; and we all wrestle with inner demons.

Fans of Dellosso will enjoy references to some of his other books, including “Sons of God” — and a scene at a house in the woods possibly taken from “Fear Mountain.”

A word of warning, there is violence throughout this novel as good fights against evil.

This book was set in post-apocalyptic times and showed a world that was bleak and full of despair. The book follows a loner named Andy, whose appearance seems to turn folks away. He meets a blind girl named Missy, who insists that they are supposed to travel on together. She becomes his guidance system and he becomes her protector. It's interesting to see their stories and how they got to this point post-rapture (the beginning of "The Event" as they refer to it) and what they come across along the way. As they journey across the country, they grow and obtain greater depth of character. The book opens up giving you a lot of questions, and they are all eventually answered as we learn Andy's and Missy's stories. While I've read others by Mike Dellosso, this one seemed more in the vein of Frank Peretti or Ted Dekker. Fans of theirs will likely enjoy this one as well. The ending took me by surprise, but it made sense from a biblical perspective and was an interesting take on an end-times prophecy. Because of the setting of the book, it was a bit "darker" than I typically prefer, but was still a quick and enjoyable read. It was probably a more realistic depiction of end times than many other end-times novels I've read. I would recommend this one! I received a copy of this book from the publisher with a request for a review. The opinions contained within are my own.

This is one Dellosso book that I didn't really care about. I've read many of his other books and have enjoyed them immensely to the point he is the first supernatural thriller author I recommend to people.
The theological assumptions were odd and not what I was expecting from this author. Plus the writing was not as tight as his former books. The technical part of the writing was not as well executed and that pulled me out of the story at times.
The concept was interesting and I read to the end. The characters were developed well enough for me to have an understanding of what they desired or sought.
To me, the book seemed way off base when dealing with the rapture, the end times, and Revelation; but, I did enjoy seeing a new take on this subject.

It happened again!! I picked up a Mike Dellosso book. WHEN you buy this book, and when you open it up to the first page, be prepared. It will be hard to put it down before it is finished. Yes, you will find darkness and evil, but you should also find HOPE and LIGHT. Look for it; wait for it - as the pages turn. Thanks for taking the time to read my review. I hope it leads you to the book. You will not be sorry. I acquired a free copy with the hope of a review. After I read this book, I had no choice but to write a review to lead others to this treasure. I can’t wait for the hard copy I pre-ordered to come in the mail.

An interesting end of the world story with religious undertones. Mike Dellosso takes us along a post apocalyptic journey with Andy and Missy, two misfits who are "called" to go to Portland Maine. They encountered a lot of ugliness and resistance along the way. There are also times of hopefulness and others providing help. LPC publishing provided me with a copy of this novel and I am voluntarily leaving a review.. I am glad I took up them on their offer since this story is not from a genre I usually read. It is very well written. quick paced and provided a lot of intrigue.

An end times saga, where the main characters discover that they have a Biblical purpose. The journey portion of this book was well written. The end of the book was a bit disappointing. The final 20 pages revealed the purpose and finished the story in a rushed manner. I would have appreciated a bit more description of these events.

Overall, an interesting take on the Biblical end times.

An odd story that is quite similar to other books of this sort I've read. It's part the stand, part stranger in a strange land, part night of power by spider robinson, and even part one LitRPG book I've read a few months ago. It's all of those things, and none of them as well. It's a story you might not miss if you don't read it, but one you likely won't forget if you do.
It definitely won't appeal to all, but for those who like it, you are likely to really like it.

Stunned

I couldn't put this book down. Read almost all of it in one sitting. Have never read anything like it before. Definitely worth the read even though the author took great literary license in the writing. It is an interesting read and a huge twist at the end. Two people on a journey together not knowing where it would lead. Lots of trouble along the way. A clean read.

Good writing, so-so plot

Mike is a good writer, but I didn’t care for the plot. If it had been less or more biblically based, I would have liked it better, but as it was, it took a bit from the Bible, but out of context and not believably. Those interested in supernatural/spiritual warfare type books would probably enjoy it.

Fantastic story!!

I almost stopped this book early on because I didn’t immediately connect with the two main characters! What a mistake that would have been because this story is unique and compelling and by the end I loved Missy and Andy! If you want to read a breathtaking adventure, search no more! I am a Mike Dellosso fan. Therefore I was excited to be able to read his latest release, Midnight is My Time. I read it in two evenings because it grabbed my attention right at the start and held my attention until the very end. Midnight is My Time is filled with action and suspense, and yes, some violence. There is a mystery that also runs through the book in regards to the two main characters, Andy and Missy -- are they freaks or something special?

Ten years after an Apocalyptic event, Andy and Missy meet and decide to travel together. They travel from the southeastern United States to the northeastern United States. But why are they being pursued and threatened? What is their purpose? Will they reach their destination in one piece?

Mike Dellosso's descriptions paint a vivid picture of people and places. The action scenes are intense and keep the pace of the story moving, just as you catch your breath, another crisis wrenches your breath away again.

This book was an easy read, and as I mentioned above, it was a real page-turner that kept me on the edge of my seat. Mike Dellosso has produced another great read and I highly recommend it.

Book Review

This was the first book I’ve read by this author, an i hope there are more. Recently, ive been reading more End Times books and found this to be plausible. This is a great book with lots o excitement, one I had a hard time putting down. Very well written.

Fairly quick read

Placed in time after some major disaster, this book is written in very basic language with loads of blood and gore. All in the name of righteousness. There is a lot of violence, attempted rapes, and death. A better plot would have helped.

An end-times story different from any other I have read. It will hold your interest even though it is hard to understand at times. It is still a good read.
