Sadie was ok most time... My problem was Will... he rubbed me the wrong way... The way he talks about women... *gags* like women are just a thing to used e send their merry way!! He was almost predatory, lying his way to go out with her...
Donna Alam has written a standalone hit with Easy. It is full of humor, sexual tension, angst, sexy British accent, Witty banter and a rip roaring good time. The characters are relatable; the plot is believable and fresh. The setting is London and what a fabulous backdrop for a fantastic love story. We met Will in Single Daddy Scot. He is the ultimate playboy who never settles for one woman and he is a true commitment - phobic male. He meets Sadie, a woman who mistakes him as an escort, he doesn’t correct her but plays along which brings many hilarious scenes between them and even after she finds out the truth about him. Sadie is a sassy, bright, intelligent woman who challenges Will. She is a woman who makes him rethink things and is the only woman who very easily puts Will in his place and calls him on his type of BS when he tries to get away with it. I really adored how she showed she can take him on effortlessly. Will may come off as a playboy but deep down he is a good guy- he is charming, goofy, humorous, life of the party but when it comes to loving Sadie, he is all in 100 %. Will Will be able to prove he has changed and has fallen for Sadie and is willing to be the man she needs ? Will Sadie give Will the chance to really rock her world? And to think this all started over a case of mistaken identity. What a deliciously funny, romantic, and sexy romance to indulge in. Ms. Alam has another hit on her hands and with saying this, she now has me waiting breathlessly for Keir’s story.
My Rating: 4.6 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
"Another day, another round of vaginas." Far be it for Donna Alam to ease you into the action, right from the very first line, this is another bawdy hilarious 5 star hit! If you thought her other Scots were seriously Hot, you'll be well and truly ruined by the Right Honourable William Travers. We met the gorgeous playboy Doctor in Donna's Single Daddy Scot, and Mac's mate doesn't disappoint in dishing out the charm and lascivious moves that has earned his reputation. Holy Hell, if I had a gynaecologist like Will, my vagina would be a hypochondriac!
When Will overhears what he thinks are some salacious goings-on in his neighbours apartment, he can't deny himself the pleasure of partaking in a little coitus interruptus, but his knock on the door doesn't just surprise it's occupant, the lovely and somewhat naive Sadie Evans, and a case of mistaken identity soon gives this cheeky half British blue blood, half crazy Scot an opportunity he just can't resist. The chemistry between Will and Sadie is off the charts and balanced brilliantly by their battle of flirty wit and snark, Sadie giving Will a run for his money, and the charming Doctor soon realises he has more than he bargained for with the feisty teacher.
Outside of the steamy bedroom antics and hilarity of their exchanges, I loved being surprised by the hidden vulnerable white knight beneath Will's polished Playboy facade and Sadie's own awakening as to her true self and inner strength, and relished in the developing love story. And of course we can't go without some fabulous cameos from our other Hot Scot family, notably in this story from the ever naughty June, God Bless the dirty old woman! This is now my absolute favourite of Donna's books, so worth the chance, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy it, Will didn't!! The Doctor is well and truly IN! All Hail Lord Pussy!!!
This book is PERFECTION!! Sadie has traveled to London from the States believing she is there to meet up with her soul mate Julian at his birthday party. Whom she met in the airport...for a few hours. Will just happens to be in the right place at the right time to step in as Sadie’s escort to the party. So now we’ve got Julian and Will. Of course they know each other. Of course all is not as it seems. A case of mistaken identity, a crazy dog, and some deep secrets made this the perfect book for me!! I was laughing and I was loving the angst! I devoured this book in one sitting!
I couldn’t Sadie.... She was prissy, and pissy she ran hot and cold while she seemed to almost delight in taking any anything Will said the wrong way... Will despite being a complete and total “manwhore”,is a really good guy, sweet in his own way,and caring, the kinda guy whose moral code might differ from yours or mine but he has one and he’s not a user or s loser, he’s funny and interesting and dirty and seems like he could be a lot of fun... To me Will is the kinda guy who might be up for a good time any where and almost anywhere but the kinda guy that when he finds his “one” she’s it and he’ll be loyal and true,.. The kind who doesn’t say “I love you” easily but when he does,it means something ... it’s worth it’s weight in gold...
Now Sadie I started liking her,I mean honestly I could soo see myself falling for a guy/huge d-bag like Julian at an air port or on line or something and doing what she did... Only for me I probably wouldn’t have had a friend to have my back make sure I had a place to stay ( much less something as nice as she is) or trying to set me up w/ someone ( escort or otherwise ) to make sure when I’m going thru something she thinks might fail ,I have someone who’s should maybe I can cry on and spare me a little dignity... Ok, was Will right to let Sadie think he was a escort ? Eeeeeeeeeeeee, maybe not but if she’s going to go thru with it that night and then go off to watch him play rugby the next day, mainly because she likes him even if she doesn’t want to like him,she shouldn’t be a hypocrite and a snob and find a way all during their “date” that night and the next day... She was such a little itch about it a jab here and a jab there,it was soo tacky and catty, and very hypocritical when all she can think about is how H O T his body is.. Then she’s ticked off he’s really a OB/Gyn Dr. and didn’t tell her,but it doesn’t keep her from having sex with him,the pulls back ,pushes him away then is back again ... Everything she learns about him is an excuse to push him away, his father is a lord and he comes from money,he’ll thin he’s too good for me, push away... Aaaaaaaaa Hello!!!! He’s pursuing you soo obviously he doesn’t think that... I only had 6 weeks here push , but he’s just soo damn sexy, pull... Sorry, but after a while I just couldn’t take her any more,Will isn’t perfect but he is a good guy w/lots of fun traits ,but honestly all Sadie seemed to see was a sexy body and someone to debate and bait ,even she at one point says she knows she’s just pushing him back and arguing just for the sake of it... Back and forth quips and jests can be fun to read and sexy as hell but when one or the other can’t seem to stop themselves and even they know they are being contrary at times just mainly for the sake of it,it’s NOT sexy it’s just plain annoying ... Neither were really trying to get to know the other here it all was mainly sex for the sake of sex,and while I love a good sex scene and the term “clean romance” makes me shudder and run, I want a story that has some sex, not sex that has some story... Even though Will had honestly been a good help to her when Julian turns out to be the toad not the prince her friend feared he was, and was a kind and thoughtful sexy good time and fun,all Sadie seem to want to give in return was shallow snark and a lot of attitude... Will wasn’t perfect but she wasn’t trying to get to know him and was too quick to judge... Real conflict yes, manufactured nonsense no thank you.... Thank you for your effort Ms. Alam I’d love you for ever if you could send a real life Will Travers my way but I couldn’t stay and stomach your fickle heroine
I dove into this book as a recommendation to get a good laugh out loud funny kind of book. Easy did have some really funny parts.
Sadie travels to London to go to a birthday party of a men she met at an airport, Julian she is hoping he remembers her. Her fire hires an male escort as a back up plan. This is where sexy Will enters.
Will is instantly attracted to Sadie. Sadie find him very handsome . His mouth is my favorite part of the book. As the story unfolds and many things continue to reveal the story , I feel there was some holes in the book that where missing. Waiting for that part of the story to Continue to the next chapter but instead skipped and would go back briefly.
All in all it was a cute story. Wills mouth is my favorite part of the book, the dirty things that came out of his mouth.
I really tried, but sadly I couldn't connect to the writing or characters. At this point I couldn't care less about Sadie and Will. Everything felt flat and didn't catch me at all. I also don't feel their chemistry.... DNF for me at 15%.
Crossed my line for interest. Got beyond sexy to trashy and lost me. Books are always on the knife edge of too sexy, this one with the sex club scene was too much. No sense beating around the bush, pun intended, it's porn. I won't read another.
Easy by Donna Alam the easiest five-star read ever. Do not read this book in public, not once but twice I embarrassed myself reading this book, the first time when a nun phoned me at work when I was mid reading a conference room scene (I’m never looking at one of those big tables the same again), the other when I snored coffee from my nose in front of a coffee house filled with men in lycra (cycling club crashed my coffee/reading date) when one of my favourite characters popped up for a bout of advice, good old June. I adore the author and may have slight stalkerish tendency towards her, so I knew I was gonna love this book, just not how much I was gonna love it. The Right Honourable William Travers may just be my new favourite Dissident, when I picture him in those tight little rugby shorts I just want to melt Y’Ken. Little miss Sadie is a very nice young lady, one I could happily imagine being bent over a knee or two. This book is hot and funny and everything you come to expect from the author, but it was also so much more. It really is the easiest read you will find out today. I will be shouting from the roof tops to everyone I know that they need this story in their lives, stop reading this review and go buy the book, it will be the best pennies you will spend.
This was a fun read. School teacher Sadie flies to London on a 6 week holiday with the express intent of going to the birthday party of a handsome British guy (Julian) she met at a 10 hour layover in the airport in D.C. where it seemed they were destined to be if only...
Staying at her friend, Kallie's, cousin's apartment while he's out of town she's all set to go when Kallie phones her from the U.S. to say she's hired a male escort to accompany her in case anything goes wrong and so she doesn't feel awkward attending alone. Little does she know that her upstairs neighbour, Will,is a gorgeous hunk of a complete ladies' man and he stumbles on to her before her escort arrives pretending to be him. What ensues starts off as the kinky gorgeous Will trying to have a fling with Sadie while she's in town and Sadie realising she's more interested in spending her time in London with Will than with Julian.
The general banter between the two was perfect and Will's internal dialogue was humourous. The main question through it all is how does an American passing through for 6 weeks and a complete commitment-phobe playboy who has no intentions of settling down go from a sexual connection to the possibility of a HEA with some road blocks thrown in the way for good measure? I loved Sadie and Will, although a bad boy, still won me over. All in all an entertaining read with a lovely ending.
I would have to give this book a 1 out of 5-star rating. I just couldn't get into this book the way I wanted to, that is the reason why it took me forever to read. I just didn't feel that good about the character as I have with other books. The only thing I did like was the epilogue, but that was about it. The book was too dull for my taste. I will give this author another chance later in the year though just to see if I like any of her other books. I am sorry to say I do not recommend this book.
This was an entertaining gem! It was on Kindle Unlimited, so I’m not sure what the price is otherwise. I’d say anything above maybe .99-1.99 would be too much due to the brevity of the story and the lack of proofreading and amount of grammatical errors within it. I would totally recommend it for .99!
Sadie is a young American teacher who decides to take a leap of faith on her break from school and attend a birthday party in London of a guy she had met a few months prior in the airport, Julian. She and Julian shared a deep and meaningful 10 hour layover and stayed in touch occasionally via email. Spurred on by her friend Kallie, she trades dog sitting for an apartment in London for 6 weeks to pursue a possible connection with Julian. Her friend Kallie sets her up with a male escort for the party as kind of a safety net in case things go weird with Julian. Just for companionship.
Will is a sexy overworked obstetrician and self proclaimed lover of vaginas, all vaginas. After a tough day of work he knocks on his friend and neighbors apartment door looking for a drinking buddy for the night only to be met by Sadie. Sadie mistakes Will for her escort/date and Will, liking the way Sadie looks, decided to play along.
Will was hysterical and I could not have loved him more! Such witty dialogue! I was pulled into the story because of his character and ended up also liking Sadie as well. But Will sealed the deal on this book for me! My biggest issue was the grammatical and continuity errors, which I overlooked because I so enjoyed Will. But they were kind of big errors. Sometimes changing POV mid paragraph to where you have to stop and say, huh? I also wasn’t crazy about how quickly the story wrapped up. I would have liked it to be pulled out a tad bit more, but it was what it was.
I was introduced to Donna Alam's work in her Hot Scots series (if you haven't read any of them, do yourself a favor and 1-click those bad boys!), so it was a no-brainer to download this when it became available. I feel like jumping up and down clapping like a fool and chuckling maniacally just at the thought of this book. Once again, we are presented with well developed characters that make the story fun, feisty, intense and sexy AF. Sadie is introduced to Will as a result of a misunderstanding that he fully takes advantage of...shocker. Their is an immediate electric attraction between the two, but Sadie ignores it since she's in London to reconnect with Julian, who she thought she had a serious connection with. Turns out, Julian is an absolute tool. Thankfully, this allows for things to spark and ignite between Sadie and Will...and ignite they do. Holy hotness, Batman! I could not wait to turn each page and see the tawdry, sexy fun that Will brings down on Sadie...YUM! Not only is the book great on it's own merit, but the cameos by Mac and Ella, and June (LOVE her!) from Hot Scot stories are fabulous! June cracks me up no matter what book she's in, or what scene she's stealing. I can not recommend this book enough! It is an easy read, no pun intended...or maybe there is ;-). You won't be able to put this down, nor will you want to until the last page. Do yourself a favor and 1-click this thing now, or pick it up on KU. The only regret should be if you don't. Bonus: There is (at the time I downloaded it) a short with Kallie's story , plus an additional full length novel. you can't go wrong.
Sadie goes to London to meet up with Julian a guy she met when he was in the states. She thinks that they are meant to be and comes to London for his birthday party. Her best friend sets her up with an escort but before the escort shows up Will does. Will plays the part of the escort because he is fascinated by Sadie. What he didn't expect was that the guy she was there for was Julian a guy he can barely stand. He figures that out when he sees them together at Julian's birthday party. The Honorable Will Travers is being forced to marry a woman his father has chosen because he needs money and wants Will to settle down. Will doesn't want anything to do with that and spends more time with Sadie and they end up sleeping together. Just as he is trying to works things out Julian shows up and tries to get Sadie to believe his lies. Will Sadie be taken in by Julian's lies? Can Will convince her to give him a chance?
This was a great story about two people from different countries finding love. The chemistry between Sadie and Will is combustible. This was a well written and very entertaining story. If you aren't a fan of this author before this book you will be by the end.
Easy is super sexy, witty and fun. Sadie has come all the way to London to see the man she had a moment with, a connection. Her best friend, though, in order to shore up Sadie's chances of bagging said man, has hired a male escort for Sadie to attend the birthday party with her, as a way to make Julian jealous. When Sadie opens up her to door to find a seriously hot, elegantly dressed man, she's flummoxed. Little does she know that Will isn't exactly the man her friend "ordered" for her. No, Will is a flirty, funny, hot guy who happens to be a soon to be lord, a gynecologist, and neighbor to her friend's cousin, where Sadie is staying while on vacation in London.
I always love the mistaken identity trope, and Donna Alam does it some serious justice here in Easy. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a couple's witty banter and sexy tension more than Will and Sadie's. They were delicious together and reading their journey from "client" to falling in love was fun and sexy and downright sweet. British men are my jam (Tom Hardy!!) and Will's lord of the manor, posh dreaminess gave me a spot of joy in an otherwise very cold day.
Can we rename this series “Fifty Shades of Scot”? Because, sweet Lord almighty, this takes all the best parts of that series and then makes them better. And I don’t mean simply replacing one bored, kinky, rich man with hot, wealthy, dominant Scotsmen. Though that is one heck of an improvement. And the Right Honourable William Travers adds a different kind of nobility to these noble men. They also have strong, feisty heroines who are just as likely to fight with them as to fight for them. Sadie gives as good as she gets. Their sassy, flirty banter made me snort my coffee many times while reading. She pushes Will out of his comfort zone and inspires him to want to be a better man. Will isn’t the only one outside his zone; he pushes Sadie just as far, just in a very different way. (A way that’s so hot I think circuits in my reader fried during this book.) And through this, they’re surrounded by nosy, well-meaning, off the wall friends – some of whom we’ve already read about – who both help and hinder the growing relationship between Will and Sadie. The café encounter with our favorite Scottish matriarch left me cackling with glee, wondering where she’ll turn up next. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
Seriously...I don’t know how Donna Alam does it but once again this author delivers another hot, steamy, melt an iceberg read. We met Will in Single Daddy Scot, the ultimate man wh***, who doesn’t take anything seriously, a real charmer and a man who doesn’t do commitments. He hasn’t changed and when he meets Sadie, a woman who mistakes him as an escort, he doesn’t correct her but plays along which brings many hilarious scenes between them and even after she finds out the truth about him. Not only are there steamy scenes, plenty of laughs, easy flowing banter between them, Sadie is able to put him in his place, which he needs most of the time. His easy going, charming, not taking anything seriously, jokester self, may have had me wanting to shake him at times but when he makes up his mind about Sadie, nothing stops him. I also loved catching up with Mac & Ella and Mac’s brooding towards Will even after all this time....LOVED IT !! An AMAZING read that had me hooked from page one, with loveable characters, laughable scenes (especially the plane scene), a story that flowed beautifully and now has me waiting impatiently for Keir’s story. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Easy is a great standalone romance it’s light, funny and still made me smile. Donna Alam created some great characters that I really enjoyed and who I would love to read more stories about. It’s a well-rounded story, there’s a little bit of everything in here.
I fell in love with Lord…Doctor…Will from the beginning, he’s charming and a bit arrogant. He easily slips into a new role when he meets Sadie, great timing and her friend’s gift allowing him the perfect opportunity which was too good to walk away from. Sadie is only in town a few weeks hoping to connect with an old acquaintance. It took me awhile to warm up to her but once I did I liked her. She has some secrets of her own that were surprising even to her. I love these two characters together their playful banter made me smile and even laugh out loud. They have great chemistry, some sexy, steamy and naughty times together that were unexpected….The Den. There are also some sweet parts in here that left me teary and smiling…The Airplane was so funny….His office so sweet.
I can’t wait to read more from this author. She has a lot of books that I think I’d enjoy.
This story was so much fun to read. Donna Alam writes really funny highly entertaining steamy reads and I especially was amused by the characters and dialogue in Easy.
Sadie is an American teacher on vacation in London, with the main goal of reconnecting with her crush she met briefly at an airport. Despite only spending a few hours with him, there were definite sparks and she is sure attending his party will be the perfect way to make a fleeting crush turn into something more. Her friend decides the perfect way to help Sadie out is make her look less available, so she hires her an escort to accompany her to Julian's party. Then things get interesting. A case of mistaken identity leads to Will pretending to be the escort that was hired (He is really a neighbor). What's an American girl to do when there are now two sexy British men to pick from?
As I mentioned, this book is tremendous fun. I loved Will - cocky book boyfriends who slowly charm me and the heroine are some of my favorites! There are several laugh out loud scenes and plenty of steamy scenes. There were also some cameos from characters in the Hot Scots series which was fun as well. A perfect, fun, sexy, easy read.
I have loved the cheeky banter of Ms Alam's Scottish men, and Will's light-hearted talk is pure foreplay. He teases and pranks the delightful Sadie, who is as intrigued by him as she is irritated. They have a hilarious start together and I couldn't stop grinning at Will's antics. Will wisely intervenes to keep Sadie's crush Julian away from her; to protect her from Julian means possibly losing Sadie himself. There are some really hot scenes in here, fun characters, and there are a few characters from previous Scots books that are making cameo appearances (yes, even my favourite, June!). This was a fun, easy read, a must read especially if you're a fan of the Scots books.
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
Wow, what a story and a unique storyline. This book will grab your attention and keep you page turning. Full of twists and surprises and chemistry that's off the charts. Well written with complex characters who are interesting and an entertaining storyline. An male escort who isn't a male escort, a billionaire, an alpha hunk and a gorgeous lady. Throw in a mistaken identity and two gorgeous guys. A great read that you will enjoy. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
I am voluntarily reviewing a copy of this book that I received for free.
Sadie, a teacher in America, mistakes Will, a self-proclaimed v*g*na expert, for the male escort her friend hired to take her to a birthday party she has flown to London for. As the story progresses we are treated to Donna Alam's signature snark and humor, loads of steam and plenty of twists to keep you engaged.
This book is freaking amazing. I absolutely loved this one. Donna has written a stellar new book that will have you laughing and more. I couldn't put this down once i started. It was so freaking good. I honestly didn't want it to end, I loved it that much.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The more I read Donna Alan the more I realize I just love her. I have yet to read anything by her that I haven't absolutely loved. This book was no exception. Great read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
