Chris Savage. Gorgeous. Famous. Arrogant. He moved to my mountain for a fresh start... Now he’s my neighbor And I think he wants more than a cup of sugar. He’s a global celebrity, and it’s not just because he’s mouthwatering. He wrote a book no one will admit they’ve read, but somehow sold millions of copies. People call it the Kama Sutra Volume 2 or the Sex Bible. He just called it You’re F**king wrong. Tragedy struck, and now he wants solitude and a place to avoid the spotlight. He certainly came to the right place, because the spotlight has never been anywhere near my town, especially not next door to me. You’d think I would be thrilled. Except he’s easily the most rude and abrasive man I’ve ever met. He’s a brute. A savage. I hate that the sight of him makes my skin tingle and my cheeks flush, that I can’t think straight around him. The worst part? Some stupid, very stupid part of me knows I’m going to try to fix him, because he’s broken and hurting, no matter how much he hides behind his anger. I just hope I don’t break myself before I find out what happened to him. *As always, this is a totally SAFE, full-length book with a happily ever after, no cheating, and plenty of steam.*
USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and Amazon Charts Bestselling author Penelope Bloom is taking her first flight into romantasy—and yes, there are dragons. After years of contemporary romance, she's temporarily trading meet-cutes for magical academies and coffee shops for castles that reek of blood. She promises the banter is just as sharp, but now it comes with deadly consequences.
Fun fact: “Penelope Bloom” started as a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the family dog, Penelope—never meant to be anything serious. But then the books took off, and the name stuck. Behind the scenes, Penelope Bloom is actually a husband-and-wife team. He handles the writing; she edits, helps with brainstorming, and runs the reader-facing side of things (like social media and messages). So if you’ve chatted with “Penelope” online, you’ve likely been talking to her—with the author chiming in whenever needed. Together, they’ve built the voice readers know and love.
Chris Savage, you will hate him and then love him. Chris is an asshole, he treats everyone like shit and really he doesn’t care about anything. Meeting Lindsay, Chris thinks she is like everyone else but is dead wrong. Lindsay & Chris will have you glued to your kindle and they will have you going on an emotional rollercoaster. I really enjoyed their story and the ending was perfect.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
have you ever started reading a book and in just a few pages, knew that it was one that you couldn't put down until you finish it? This is that book. Penelope did an absolute phenomenal job writing Chris and Lindsey's story. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to throw my phone across the room in anger. Chris is hurting, in such a way that only someone that has lived a long time in disappointment and anger can feel. He has such a tender soul, but he would close up and shove people away. Lindsey was a delight to read. She was rational and so darn stubborn. She wouldn't take no for an answer, and she didn't give in easily. No, sparks didn't fly when they first met. that was more of a train wreck waiting to happen that you couldn't quit watching. They had a slow burn, mostly one sided. Until, finally the man learned how to use his eyes. It was a passionate, heart breaking, soul crushing story that makes you realize what you have and how much it means to you. I truly loved this story! Words can't descibe how much I didn't want it to end. Lord I hope we hear about Lindsey's sisters. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This book was well written, and I liked all the characters. The problem is, that I didn't like Lindsey with Chris. Lindsey made Chris a better man, but he made her spineless and cliche. Them together did nothing for me. I think he was just a prick.
I really liked the dynamics between the sisters. I wish more of that was in the book and less of Chris. It would have been a better book.
The hilarious side of author Penelope Bloom is so prevalent in her books that it was easy to forget she can write more dramatic romance, without all the trademark jokey treatment. I’m a major sucker for romances that take place in wilderness isolation (especially if it’s basically two characters), so I got my fix with the mountain cabin setting and a growly, reclusive, arrogant, and mean-spirited author as the hero. Chris Savage is a wounded artist at a crossroads in his life and career. Jaded. Burned out. In a rut. Wants nothing to do with people. What would a neighborly, sweet, guileless, and struggling book blogger have in common with a testy, insulting, mega-rich author? Nothing and everything. What else is there when you have it all? What is there when you lose the things you never knew you wanted? Chris is about to find out and sweet Lindsey will be the catalyst and guide that leads him to the epiphany of his life.
In all fairness, the couple isn’t stranded together. Lindsey lives sort of next door with her sisters. And there’s a village/town nearby as well, so they aren’t actually isolated. But, technically, most of their encounters take place at Chris’s cabin. It was such a cute match-up, too. Lindsey stumbles onto his identity, and he’s repulsed by her repeatedly forcing her way into his life to help “fix” him. She doesn’t really want to, but feels compelled to help him. Is he the poet of his written words or the savage he pretends to be? Tired of the fame game that gives him everything he wants, Chris treats people like crap, so her interference annoys him and he tolerates only because he sees her as a sexual conquest to get past. Natch, he’s so handsome that it stuns women stupid, so he thinks she's plain and not worth his interest. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder and her natural beauty eventually takes him by surprise. Take that you shallow man! He even nicknames her Psycho Fan like a pest nemesis, but has no idea that a mouse can teach a lion a thing or two.
She really wasn’t that brave, so I adored how she kept facing humiliation by putting herself out there to help Chris get out of his own way and get over his demons. The story is hot, sexy, emotional, cathartic, and not a bunch of doom and gloom, despite Chris’s bad attitude. It may not be author’s typical rom-com which I found refreshing, but there are still plenty of funny lines that liven things up, and Lindsey makes a bumbling fool of herself in the most endearing ways. It’s like when you think someone’s a pest in your life, only to realize how much you miss them when they aren’t around. They keep butting heads in the up and down process of Lindsey steering Chris out of his one-man pity party, and healing his spirit and career. The read was so worth it, and I loved every page, even when a predictable misunderstanding mucks up their progress and wimps out slightly at the end. On a personal, emotional level, this story really spoke to me and I lost myself in their sweet and turbulent journey.
[Had to laugh at a serious proofing error – the edge of space is only 62 miles up, not tens of thousands!]
Damaged, savage soul meets sweetheart fixer. That's Savage in a nutshell.
Lindsey and Chris meet and it's not exactly love at first sight because Chris is an ass, a serious ass. But it's only because he's hurting, and Lindsey can sense it. She wants to fix him. Will Chris let her?
I liked Savage, but I didn't love it. I wanted their connection to be stronger and I wanted their relationship to be more developed. I also wanted Chris to grovel a whole heck of a lot more when he made his grand gesture after behaving like a colossal jerk toward the end. Other than that, Savage was not bad. Not great, but certainly not terrible by any means.
"I only see sadness there and a loneliness so deep it's like he's reaching out to me even as he's pushing me away."
Chris Savage is a global writing phenomenon. He's a notorious bad-boy megastar who seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, only to turn up in the neighbouring cabin to Lindsey's home. When they first meet, he lives up to every bit of his a-hole reputation, but Lindsey is determined to help him overcome his writer's block. Plus, the glimpses she catches of a softer, more vulnerable Chris convinces her to take a chance on him with her heart.
"She feels off-limits to me. It's not a feeling I'm used to, and it's going a long way toward making her develop into the only thing in the world I want."
I enjoyed this story. Chris was a grumpy, arrogant, give-no-Fs alpha male. It felt like he had more money than God and he really didn't give a fig about other people's feelings...until he met Lindsey. I loved that even though he kept trying to push her away, she wiggled her way under his skin. Lindsey was a pretty tough cookie. I liked that she was independent, sassy, and knew her mind, although her compelling attraction to Chris and the lust boiling insider her made her a bit of a pushover. She was quite innocent in a lot of ways, as evidenced by her embarrassment when Chris talked dirty to her, but she was also real and genuine. They were a great pairing - he offered worldly brashness and experience, while she brought peace, warmth and truth to their relationship.
This was actually a really good read, the steam wasn't as high as most of Penelope Bloom's books but still it was good. You have Chris Savage who is a writer who made a bundle off his book. Of course tragedy strikes when his parents who he had a strained relationship pass away and he goes to live in the mountain. He is legit an asshole, he is rude, and assuming. From the very beginning he only wanted to use Lindsey to fu*k. At first she isnt in to it at all but slowly but surely he wears her down and even before he tells her, she is wearing him down too. He puts so much effort into getting her to sleep with him that he doesn't realize that she is something more than he has ever had. There were only a few things that I really didn't care for in this book. I can't stand how he treated the sister, like dude you aren't the only one who lost parents. It didn't say that she was a stepsister or anything like that so how can you act like that to a sibling you have known your whole life. Also I think she forgave him WAY WAY WAY too quickly. He shows up after months of believing someone else and it takes like 3 mins for you to forgive him? NOPE especially not being pregnant.

Savage is right! Oh, my! The angsty, looking for love in all the wrong places, sexified sorcery that is Chris Savage and his muse Lindsey. The blogging book reviewer takes the rough and grumbly chip on his shouldered author at less than his word and inspires him to see the world and words he avoids and hopes to find the right ones to type. In the process, the walls that protect them start to crumble around them. Does the trust go beyond heat and literary muse?
Settling into the story that wasted no time on pleasantries, I knew right away I would love Chris Savage's character- anyone who has scrolled passed my ramblings, has probably seen my dramatic love for jackhole male protagonists! I enjoyed Lindsey character as well; upfront knows what she wants, and what she won't do. The fast-moving insta I hate you, I want you, I need your mind, and spirit storyline had me wanting more of it all! These are my favorite kind of storylines! I could have read his dirty talking smirkiness all day ( I am such a sucker for that!) Such a heart squeeze- fan worthy- yummy read! One IMO worth checking out!
The blogger and the beast. Chris Savage, best selling author, gorgeous, rich, a sought after hot commodity with a damaged soul. Lindsay, the blogger who reads the words beyond the story, and sees more than the superficial facade shown to the rest of the world. Loved these two together! Lindsay is the perfect amount of give and take. She has grit, backbone, sass, and sweetness. Everything to balance Chris's moody broodiness.
I absolutely loved this book by Penelope. My favorite of hers to date. Totally hooked from the beginning and it was worth staying up all night. Chris and Lindsey are such a great couple and I adore them together. Chris is definitely a hot bad boy. Fantastic read.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
From the beginning I felt a sort of disconnect, I was trying to feel the chemistry between Chris & Lindsey but I kept getting annoyed with her being a pushover. The ending? Come on - a little more grovel - and not such a rushed ending!
An interesting and engaging plot grabs and keeps your interest. Book is well written and characters are complex. Chris and Lindsey have a very hot chemistry and the scenes between them light up the pages of the book. Lots of steam, a bit a drama and some humor create a very entertaining read. I am posting an honest, voluntary review after reading an advance copy of this book.
It was good. Not great but good. Really long-winded. And the end just didn't do it for me. Chris shut her out, called her a liar, left her alone for months thinking he possibly knocked her up to be on her own and just shows up with an 'I'm sorry' and all is forgiven?! Hell no. There is no way any woman would just take him back after all that. If there had been more of him having to work for it I would've been happy but all that LONG story just to be summed up with an 'I'm sorry'. Nope. I liked the characters overall but let's be honest she was a total doormat.
Once upon a time there was this guy who wrote this tell all book about what is being done wrong....as in sex. It was not a great book to him, but it made his name, Chris Savage, a favorite among a lot of fans. Then on the high note from this book, he just disappeared. Retreating to a cabin out in the middle of nowhere. Chris is arrogant, smug, a jerk, a playboy, and to top that list off, smoking hot. A stalker fan finds him and flips this upside down.
She writes a review blog about the books she has read. She is living with her two sisters. All Lindsey wants to do is get the money to put her one sister through beauty school, and help the other sister open her own cafe/diner/restaurant. The wedding invite from her ex arrives....what the??? The venue it what she was planning with him, and now the box of wine comes out. She has a little more than she should, but that is okay, she is at home. She decides to send an email to her favorite author and notices the address....just a mile or so away. Hmmm.
Lindsey finds herself needing some air, and finds herself walking to the favorite authors address. Still buzzing from her wine, she gets tangled in the thorns surrounding the grounds of the author. At that moment burly and grumpy pulls her out of that mess, reluctantly he helps her, but not really nicely. He goes with the act of he is being bothered by her, and he is rude, and a big jerk. Chris knows all about being a jerk...yes he has the book, the string of women he has used and thrown away, and now his pent up anger to live on.
Chris, aka favorite author, is found out by Lindsey. He basically humiliates and toys with Lindsey and then shoves her away. However, his thoughts always end up back on her. He decides what he needs, and that is to fall into his same old pattern and be with Lindsey, get it out of his system and then he can move on. But Lindsey isn't the typical fan for him. She has a mind of her own, and a backbone. She hands out just as much as he hands to her. All this proceeds to do is make Chris more of the hunter and Lindsey more of his prey.
When the truth behind why he has done what he has to have ended up like this, Lindsey tries to help. Chris has ways that she can. Now between when the time that Lindsey is trying to help Chris finish the manuscript she finds, a very surprising visitor appears, he makes Lindsey an offer....one that would mean a lot of money. But Lindsey doesn't take the offer. Things start to really heat up between Chris and Lindsey. There are secrets exposed, other family members get involved, Lindsey is whisked away by Chris on a new tour....and they really REALLY heat up.
The first pin to pop the bubbles around them shows up and begins the unravel of many things, including their feelings. A misunderstanding and then a very passionate make-up session. The next morning a lie from the sleazy visitor is told to Chris and there is "proof." Anger, tears and a plane ticket are all that was left. A month later Chris is still feeling the sting of it all, and missing her like crazy, Two months later Lindsey finds out a secret and the one person she wants to share it with could care less about her. Then it happens, the liar who twisted things and tried so hard to ruin these two has a little too much to drink and spills what he did. POP! punched and forced to give the whole truth, now Chris has to try to make up for his ways. But how?
A call to Lindsey from Chris after almost 3 months, and he is frantic. Needs help now, and that is the end of the call. Despite all the arguing with herself about this, she decides to help him this last time. Funny thing is when she gets to him, he isn't in need of that help at all, but he is in need of forgiveness. They talk, then that special secret Lindsey had wanted to share is actually found out before she can tell him. Chris is overjoyed.
There is finally some healing, in many ways for Chris. His parents death, his anger towards them, and how he treated Lindsey....all of it begins to heal. Journals that were supposed to be read a long time ago finally are, Chris is finally healing, and allowing himself to feel. These two both had a very rocky start, and there are still hurts that need to be righted....but all in all the way these two begin again is a very welcome happily ever after. Not to mention the Epilogues from each of them telling you just enough to make you smile and want so much more for them.
I found Savage after first reading His Banana and decided to see what else this author had to offer. Overall, i liked the book but was almost annoyed with the way this HEA turned out. The book is about a super hot super butthole of a guy, Chris Savage, who became mega famous off of a book he wrote as a big F You to his parents. Initially he is a player leading a bachelors life as he is counting his millions; until the day his parents die. He realizes he’d slowly been hating the life he’d been living up to that point and immediately withdraws from the public, to a mountainside cabin, where he becomes an angry recluse. It is on this very mounter meet the female MC, Lindsey, the middle sister of 3. She is a blogger who is struggling financially and resides with her two sisters as they struggle to make ends meet. She and the older sister have been doing their best to shelter the youngest sister, Amelia from the harsh reality of the world. Lindsey meets Chris by accident after getting drunk and deciding to look up her newest favorite author, whom she realizes has mistakenly left their real address in the email signature. The rest of the story is essentially him being a butthole to Lindsey despite her kindness and desire to help him achieve his true potential as an author. Over the course of their time together you continue to see glimpses of Chris’ kind side despite his aggressive attempts to keep Lindsey and others at arms length, or further. The chunk in this budding romance arrives around 87-90% of the way through the story and happened as expected. I almost wished this happened sooner so that the end didn’t feel so rushed and far too neatly wrapped up. It would have been nice to see how they repaired the rift in their relationship as the circumstances and dynamics changed rather than Lindsey immediately take him back, like the dumbstruck MC she turned out to be. It would have also been nice for a little further development of the peripheral characters, like Lindsey’s sisters and Chris’ sister. All in all, a nice story but one that was overly front loaded with a rushed feeling towards the end.
Chris Savage is a writer. Or well he wrote a how to on sex and because he's super sexy its a hit. Lindsey is a book blogger. Her followers plead with her to read and review this how to book. She is not a fan and rips him in her review primarily because of how HOT he is. Her real fandom comes from an author T.S. Barnes. This book makes her feel things she didn't even now were possible. So she emails this author and gushes about said book. She receives a curt email back with the home address on it. Meanwhile she has received an invitation from her ex to his wedding. What?!?!?! This causes her and her sisters to rant and possibly drink a bit too much. After some time she decides to put the address to Ms. Barnes into her phone and walk since it's not far. Well a drunken walk through the woods up a mountain is never a good idea. So after falling she is confronted by a very huge, very angry Chris Savage, who tells her to come clean up. He's rude from the very first moment. They spar with their words and she leaves in a hurry grabbing one of Ms. Barnes books only to realize it's him. While staggering home she runs into his trash can and finds a half written manuscript that she takes also. They continue running into each other while words and sparks fly. She tries to convince him to write the book he just tells her she's like all the other groupies who just wants to sleep with him. His manager is desperate to see this book written so he offers her money to sleep with him and get him to finish the book. The interactions between them run from sweet, hateful, mean, funny, sexy all the way. The questions are can Lindsey break through the walls he put up, Is Lindsey different, will she take the money that her and her sisters so desperately need, can he even finish this book? So many twists. So much steam. This is a super hot book that you want to hate him and love him.
*sigh* Man am I ever in a MMC slump. It seems like every review I’ve written in the last few weeks start with something along the lines of “this is the worst MMC I’ve ever read” and unfortunately, this is no different.
Okay, I’ll be fair, Chris wasn’t the WORST, but man did he ever suck. I get tortured souls. I get jaded guys with chips the size of Rhode Island on their shoulders. I even get womanizing losers with overinflated egos. But Chris, god, he was was downright intolerable to me. I’m sorry, was I supposed to swoon when he was just so unabashedly awful to Linsey? I was constantly thinking to myself “is this a**hole for real?”. The way he objectified, degraded, and belittled Lindsey pretty much straight through to the last page was rage inducing. And more irritating was the way the author just played it off like his behaviour wasn’t a big deal. Like that pathetic apology at the end where Lindsey just forgives all without even taking a minute to unpack the way he treated her, even before the second act fight. Who knew Lindsey, who seemed so genuine, caring, innocent, and emotional, secretly harboured a degradation kink? Ugh. None of it sat well with me.
If none of that was enough to turn me off, this snivelling puke started a many years long feud with his parents and sister and completely cut ties with them (except to taunt them with pictures proving what a complete douche-canoe he was), and I know that must mean they did something truly horrific right? Well, actually, he destroyed his family all because they wanted him to attend an Ivy League college! This was soooo traumatizing for him it took until long after they were dead to even sort of acknowledge he was in the wrong and he still treated his sister like crap. Honestly he just sounded like a brat from start to finish.
It was very well written though, and if she had have told him to kick rocks at the end it would be a definite 5 stars from me.

A great read about a man, Chris, who is terrible, who takes what he wants with no apologies, treats people like their disposable, is a man wh***, has no real friends and shunned his family for years. He is a successful writer but unsuccessful in any type of relationship, a loner, a total grump and an a**. When a tragic incident happens and he moves back to his family’s cabin, he wallows in self pity. But when his neighbour, Lindsey, tracks him down when she recognizes his address that is on his pen names newsletter, she doesn’t expect to find the writer she has decided to hate. But she sees something behind his facade and realizes he is more than the cold hearted bast*** everyone knows, unfortunately he pushes her buttons too many times and actually leaves him alone. Will he go after her ? A great read with a slow burn to the build up of their attraction and a very steamy time. For all the brooding Chris does, I couldn’t help but feel for him, not knowing who his real friends were considering they just wanted his money or fame to get ahead, using him for their own agenda. Lindsey was a saint with everything she put up with, not using him when she could have and actually telling him no and not falling for his charm right away, she was real & genuine. I also liked how Chris didn’t go back to his playboy ways when they were apart and what he does to Alec. The ending was perfect and I loved how the author had an extended epilogue with both POV’s. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
I did liked this story, but some of the writing needed editing. I loved the characters and their back story. I enjoyed the story that was trying to be told, but felt it fell short. The story is about Lindsey a book reviewer and Chris an author. Chris is a troubled celebrity seeking solitude and trying to find himself, while Lindsey is struggling and just trying to make ends meet. They meet when Lindsey goes onto his property in the woods and won't leave him alone once she finds out his secret pen name is her favorite author. They have a strong connection, but both fight it until the end. At times I felt like just screaming at Lindsey to just stay the heck away. Then hitting Christ upside the head for being a jerk. Problems I have with the book, Lindsey was on her way to meet an author she admired and believed was a female, but the text went back and forth between saying she and he referring to the author which was very confusing. Chris went back and forth being a jerk then being kind. While this is how the author wanted to portray the character it did not flow well through the story. One moment he is calculating and scheming, then in the next second he is kind and gentle.
This is the story of Chris & Lindsey. Chris is a writer. Lindsey does book reviews in her blog. Chris has some deep rooted problems. Lindsey is fairly fresh from a breakup. Chris has been rebellious all his life, doing the opposite of what his parents suggest he do. Lindsey is drunk one night and goes to his cabin, which is next door to hers, but not too close at all. He is in a funk since his parents passed away. He is nasty and always has cruel words to say to her. He is such an angry man. She is trying to find the person she knows is underneath all that. He just thinks everybody is after his money and is trying to use him. His agent pulls a fast one on him, which includes Lindsey. Everything gets misconstrued on a pre-book tour while Lindsey is with him. Trust is so important in a relationship. He loses that. There is a happy ending, though. You just have to read it to find out what happens.
Chris Savage is the man every women wants and the man every man wants to be! He withdraws from public life when his parents die in an accident. His agent, Alec is pushing him to write another book for his publishing house as per his contract otherwise he has to pay them back his advance. When he meets a fan of his books - under a pen name - he is still the same as he’s always been - angry at the world and he pushes her away constantly. Lindsey stumbles upon Chris in a cabin not far from her and her two sisters live. She sees through his angry facade and tries to convince him that she’ll help him finish his manuscript she found in the trash. They end up in Germany for the promotional tour where things take a decidedly bad twist and the trust and foundation they built up comes crumbling down.
A good storyline and I liked that Chris fought for what he wanted in the end and that he stuck to his instincts even though he didn’t trust them initially.
Savage by name, savage by nature....or at least that's what Chris wants the world to believe. He is such a complex, tortured character that at first he was a total ass! However, the goodness inside kept creeping through, and my opinion of him changed...as did Lindsey's.
Lindsey I didn't warm too I'm afraid. She seemed incredibly young for her age, and her sisters were caricatures...the growly older sister, the pampered younger sister who had to be shielded from their financial problems....meh.
The animosity between Chris and Lindsey, manufactured by both of them, started to become tedious after a while...but I persevered!
At the end of the story I was happy they found what they were looking for, and my few minor gripes did not stop this being an enjoyable story.
Lindsey was a blogger barely making a living to support her and her two sisters. When she meets the guy who lives near her, she discovers he is the author of a book she refuses to like. Chris is an author who always having women throwing themselves at him for his money. Used to fame and fortune he struggles with life since his parents died. I enjoyed the interactions between these two. They certainly did not even get along. What happens though as they spend time together was a great story I could not put down. I enjoyed as Chris discovered within himself what he needed to live a happy life. I also enjoyed as Lindsey discovered maybe Chris was worth taking a chance on. When something happens that tears the. Apart, unfortunately it might be too late to fix. I enjoyed reading their journey.
Chris Savage is disillusioned with fame and with life. He dropped out at the height of his career after his parents died. When Lindsey goes in search of author T.S. Barnes just up the road, imagine her surprise when she finds the illusive Chris Savage. Convinced she's a crazy fan-stalker, Chris is anything but nice but something about Lindsey gets to him even though he won't admit it. She sees behind his façade ano offers to help him complete an unfinished manuscript she found in the trash. Chris is determined to prove she's just like all the rest, wanting him for his fame and/or his money. So he's going to use her first. All actions have consequences and Chris's consequence is that he loses Lindsey. Months later he finds out the truth and he returns to her hoping it's not too little too late.
It was a fun read, but not without its flaws. I couldn't take Lindsey seriously because I couldn't fathom that with all her family's money woes, she wouldn't try to find a source of income to supplement the little she makes blogging (yes, you could argue that she lives in a small town and there are limited job opportunities, but still. She could at least try.). Other questions: At the start of the story, the program Amelia wants to take costs $20 000; when Lindsey mentions it to Chris later, she says it costs $50 000. And why was Chris engaging in drunken shooting in the first place? I would have loved to see the drunken logic behind it! I also didn't know how Lindsey could help Chris finish his book, considering her apparent lack of writing experience.
I’m a sucker for the brooding writer, Chris Savage with such a bad boy reputation for taking everything he can from his female fans in a one night stand that he begins to despise himself and takes off to live in his late parents’ cabin in the mountains. Then he encounters the innocent Lindsey, with the limited sexual experience she has had with her vanilla ex-fiancé,, Ryan. She is a blogger and book reviewer who cannot stand Chris’s blockbuster book. The plot thickens as he assumes she’s nothing more than one of his crazy fans, but soon realizes she is something more. This book was well written and has just the right amount of humor, lust, love and angst.
