This book describes and analyzes how a child's interaction with family, school, peer groups, media and community influences his or her developmental outcome. Professionals working with children and students studying child sociology need to understand the effects of contexts in which children develop and how multi-factors interact to affect child development.
This is the textbook for one of my classes this semester, and it does a pretty thorough and comprehensive job explaining the socialization process for young children.
At last Berns book goes to Spectra... I know it's not a cheap book but it's already sold-out!! such a good book that inspired by Bronfenbrenner's perspective... *I envy Berns coz she had the experience to sit in Bronfenbrenner's class*
