There was a lot of good information in this book on a variety of topics -- politics, sports, entertainment, war, social issues, etc. -- and I have several pages bookmarked to look back on later. I was a little surprised, though, at how hostile the author seemed to be toward the suffragettes. Also some of the criticism of architecture of the time -- I looked up images of some of the buildings he mentioned as being an example of how terrible architecture trends of the time were, and they were absolutely stunning.
