Four boys. One game that changed everything. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. None of these boys were weak. Go back to where it all began. Welcome to the Power Chain, the underworld built on an unbreakable bond. Authors Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele have teamed up again to bring an explosive new romance series.
This is an introduction to the Power Chain Series. Reading order is as follows:
USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Chelsea Camaron is a small town Carolina girl with a big imagination. She is a wife and mom chasing her dreams.
She writes contemporary romance, erotic suspense, and psychological thrillers. She loves to write blue-collar men who have real problems with a fictional twist. From mechanics to bikers to oil riggers to smokejumpers, bar owners, and beyond, she loves a strong hero who works hard and plays harder.
The first book in this series Power House has been recommended by a friend so I decided to read this first. Now I know it’s free prequel and so it’s hard to complain but...
I didn’t expect it to be so short (about 13 pages) and for it to end at 41%. Don’t get me wrong what’s here is good and I’m looking forward to continuing on. But this just felt more like the first chapter of a book.
It introduces us to the four main characters Onyx, Garrett, Paxton and Dane when they’re young boys at an Amish orphanage.
This is the prequel to the series & really doesn't have any romance in it. The real romance comes in book 1, PowerHouse. It does have a slightly steamy scene. It definitely has a lot of dark.
I found one typo.
The writing is very well done. You instantly connect to Onyx & his 3 'brothers'. You just feel it pouring off the page. What made them who they will become. Their determination.
Fast paced and intriguing. I am definitely reading the next book & it looks promising from the 1st chapter that was included at the end of this prequel.

PowerChain the prequel by Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele takes us back to the beginning where 4 young boys are all thrown together and learn to lean on and survive in a world where they are not wanted. It is a really really really short read but it gives us a look at what made the dark and powerful men what they are.
This is a life story of four boys/men who have forged a bond stronger then blood. It’s about loyalty and respect for each other that gets them through their childhood in a Amish Orphanage. Whose director used the children as free labor and who abused them. They have each grown up, and have each became the men of both your nightmares and your dreams. They have all been saved by the women who slip under their skins before they know it.
Loved every second of this. I love these two authors on their own, but together they will set up a story that will hook you from page one and hold you til the end. The way they unfold the story for you and set the scene has me on the edge of my seat! This story is so original and I couldn’t be more excited for more of this series. I can’t wait to see where this goes! Must read! Five huge stars! - Cat
A quick look at how Onyx, Paxton, Garrett and Dane came to be their own little family after living together in an Amish orphanage. Despite this being super short, it certainly wet my appetite and I’m eager to read more about these men and what becomes of them. I’m sure this is going to be another fab series from the fantastic writing duo of Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele.
Power Chain is the introduction of Characters who live in the Amish World! I for one thought that the writing was Ok . However, its a book for people 18+. Has adult experiences in the very 1st chapter. That kind of gave me the impression that the Authors were trying to get the attention of their readers due to sex in the first couple of pages. Sorry but not for me!
Four young orphan boys are brought together and they learn from a an old board game that their strength lies with an unbreakable bond, and they built an untouchable empire between. A fascinating novella, a quick look into the Power Chain World, the early days. Very quick, but explains Onyx a lot.
Very short introduction to the upcoming series. I would say this is a taster or snap shot, not a story. I was maybe a ten minute read, with the story taking up 30% of the file. I was a nice tease but I think I would have been better served to read this right before the first chapter of Power Chain; all at once. Excited to read the first book, however.
Short and sweet ok semi sweet, right to the point and really helped with a background of the story. I felt like I was able to get right into it and know what was going on, the writing and story was amazing I loved that I was able to get to know the characters before the story. Was greatly written.
***I was not asked in any way to leave a review, this is all me myself and I***

This was a very short prequel to PowerHouse. It introduced us to who I presume will be the hero's in the stories to come. I'm very interested to find out how their background you read about in this story will make up their future stories.
very short background for the series but as always, when these two authors get together, it is a brilliant piece of work, really well written and setting up anticipation for the next part of the story
It feels more like an introductory chapter than novella. It very briefly gives the outline of the story's background. It felt unfinished with potential to become much better. Definitely the main characters need more depth.
Read this out of sequence but it caught me up. Wondered how this group of men came about. Onyx, Paxton, Garrett and Dane became a family due to horrible experiences which made them a chain. Good or bad, it is what it is. Their theme, “We’ll make it work, we always do”.
Couldn't read this fast enough , it was good to read one that actually wasn't about sex only but a story. Looking forward to reading the next one in the series. All of these men have different stories and I can't wait to see what they are.
I didn’t find this book until after I read the first one, but was still good to get the back story of the four main men that these books are about, what they went through and what led them to be where they are and also how they are.
Wow! This book gives you the before story of how Onyx, Paxton, Garrett and Dane had to live in an Amish orphanage and how it shaped them to be the men they are today.
A good back story to a new series by these two amazing authors. It explains quite a bit and I’m intrigued as to which direction they are gonna go and can’t wait to read Onyx story.
I enjoy reading both these authors, but for some reason I never truly connected with this book. Maybe it was too short and I need to read the next book. I felt like the whole book could have been a long first chapter, but then it ended and I was dropped of a cliff.
