It has been less than a year since America was lost. Aided by the United Nations, the tattered remains of the Federal Government continue their attempts to subdue and detain the remaining free citizens. Nelson, his family, and his friends, are not willing to go quietly into the night. Living in the middle of the war zone between the Republic and the Feds, they are forced to defend their land and their lives. All Revolutions need a person willing to sacrifice everything. With no choice but to fight, or to die, alliances will forge, and battles will be fought. It is time to rise and reclaim America as the home of the free. Who will you serve? The Feds? The Republic? Or yourself?

This is absolutely the best FFA yet. Thomas Watson pulls the threads of the different books into a cohesive unit working to take back the country. This book is really Nelson’s story and we will see him as the family man, the leader, the facilitator and finally the warrior he has to become to strike back at the evil that entered his home trying to destroy his family.
Thomas Watson, thru his words and descriptions, wrings more emotions from his readers than any other author I know. I went from yelling, to laughter, to tears, to cringing and to joy all while devouring this book. One of his best!

So stinking good

The tell of a truly good story. You laugh, you cry and then you curse the author for leaving you hanging. Fair warning plot twists, and cliff hanger is included. Now to go bug the author for the next installment.

They just keep getting better

If you don’t have the time to read don’t start. Because once you start it is practically impossible to put down.

Just what I would do

Not a spoiler, but if what happened happened to me, I would do the same thing! Nothing fair in love and war.

Just feel obligated now...

More skipping numerous pages of pointless, droning dialogue. I really feel like the author needs a better editor, or something, because I've just lost track of all the extra characters, and the unbelievable tactics of the main character. I'm just continuing because I feel like I'm obligated to finish the story. Word of advice, end the story in the next book..

Nelson Jackson, his family, and friends living in the compound continue the fight against the feds and UN troops brought in to support them. Even after a year, the civil war on American soil continues. To survive and reclaim the constitutional republic we once had Nelson must go into a very dark place within his soul. Will others join him in this fight?

Watson’s fourth novel in the Forgotten Forbidden America series, Revolution is a very gruesome book compared to the previous three. Fighting an enemy without rules challenges mankind’s depths of depravity. Becoming complacent can have a deadly outcome. This book goes well beyond the Geneva Convention.

The writing style is realistic enough that you can see and hear the action. It is easy to get lost in the story so much so that it is hard to put down. There are parts that made me cry. For an author to do that they truly have a gift. And, I don’t mean just a sniffle either. I wish I could say more but I fear I may give away too much.

There were a few typos and some lines that could have been better written. Thankfully, not enough to be distracting. It’s a very good book and I highly recommend it.

4 out of 5 stars.

What an exciting book!!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading. I hoped for an exciting, engrossing book with pacing such that it held my interest all the way through... I was not disappointed! I must confess the leader of the mountain group was a gal after my own heart... a feisty, capable leader, who, interestingly enough, had the same name!
I am looking forward to the next installment. Will the ‘Sin Eaters’ succeed?
Waiting for the next book in an enjoyable series is always the hardest part for me! I hope it won’t be too awfully long until we find out what befalls our intrepid revolutionaries! Thank you, Mr. Watson for some great reading!!

Action packed with plenty of highs and lows along with twists and tragedy ... yes there may have been a tear shed at 2am in the morning while still up reading it as I couldn't put it down. I just love how these books pick up straight after the last and I really like going through and reading the previous books so I get amped up to read the new one. I just love how well rounded and relatable all the characters were, you can not help but love Nelson, his family, and his friends along with the new folks that start to join and of course hate the ones who try to force their hand or hate the ones who think they can do what they want whether they are part of The Feds or their own band of bad guys.

This is the 4th book in the series and each book ramps up the action. Nelson and the group are not sitting idle, if anything they are upping the retaliation against the government and anyone siding with them. After a heartbreaking loss, Nelson and some of the others set out to totally wreck havoc on the enemy. I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who loves emotionally charged, character driven stories. I can hardly wait for this story to continue.

Brutal

I have read the other previous books. There was violence in them. But, nowhere near on the level as in this book. Spoilers ahead.

Bad things happen to the people on the farm and to some of their friends. Brutal revenge is taken. Be prepared. Very brutal and very descriptive. I did read this book until the end. I don’t know if I will read the next one.

OMG

Did I say OMG...this series is awesome but this book by far is the best. I laughed and I literally cried. I won't give any spoilers but OMG. I had to get myself together to finish the book after what happened. I feel like these people are part of my family. If you haven't read this series yet get on with it! You're missing out on a great adventure!!

Excellent

This is maybe the fifth time I’ve read this book, and this time because book 5 in the series is out and I wanted to refresh my mind on what happened up to now. Mr Watson is still one of my top 3 writers of all time and as usual I cannot wait for the next book to be published.

Yep! Like the previous books, I couldn't put this down. Between this and the bible, i was reading 24/7. This series grips you, in a good way. Its starting to get intense, more than usual that is. Deep and emotional scenes involving some of the characters, some of it really hits home! Starting SIN EATERS now!

Action and grit

The story line seemed unrealistic at first but then I thought about how issis operated when the had their own country temporarily. Interesting characters but these are the types that survive extreme situations

Just wow, this book was an emotional rollercoaster, I was devestated and cried when one of my favourite characters died, and my mind was blown at the response to it, what a plot twist! Unbelievably good and can't wait for the next book.
