I enjoyed this collection of romantic suspense novellas. The characters are complex and interesting in book, and the plots are well-developed. The first two stories are set in the same community, but they are otherwise unrelated and don't need to be read together. The others have different settings and styles. All of the stories are good, but my particular favorites were Lynnette Bonner's "The Unrelenting Tide" and Linda K. Rodante's "Looking for Justice." I recommend this collection!
I liked this collection of books from some of my favorite suspense authors. There was plenty of suspense, twists and turns and engaging characters. I recommend this collection for Christian Romantic Suspense fans
The Unrelenting Tide by Lynnette Bonner I really liked the suspense of this story the author had so many twist and turns in it. The author makes you think its going one way and throws in a twist and has you guessing. I also loved little Marissa. I felt that in this story there was some things still missing, but over all I love that this was a good clean read. I would give this story an overall 4 star rating.
Tide Will Tell by Lesley Ann McDaniel This story is all over the place at first I was super confused about what was really going on. Then as the story progressed it seemed two stories finally mesh together. The story mentions the first story in the book a few times as it was trying to tie it together but it seems forced in a sense. The story seemed to have multiple stories going and making it hard to following, I found it confusing, hard to follow. In about chapter 26 the book seem to focus on one thing and got better I would say over all I feel like this author tried to squeeze to much into one story for such a short book. Over all not my favorite. I will say this the end was probably one of my favorite in this story, it ended in such a sweet manner and tied every thing together well. Over all I would give this story a 2.5 stars.
Looking For Justice by Linda K. Rodante This book is not connected with the first two in anyway. This book is about forgiveness in the biggest way. I really enjoyed this story. At first I thought this book wasn't very suspenseful but that changed really quickly. I really enjoyed this story it was quick and an amazing read. I found it hard to put down. I loved how this book focused on the ultimate forgiveness and also how even in tragedy love can be found. I would rate this book overall a 5 it just was such and amazing read.
Linked by Rachel Trautmiller This book is not connected to the first three at all. At first this book frustrates me because I felt like there were to many characters, but I hung in there and it all started to come together and make sense. This story was really good it have me on the edge of my seat with a ton of twist and turns with every page. I really enjoyed the suspense of the book and how it kept you guessing till the end. I do have to say I wish in the end the author would have had an epilog or would have finished the follow up of what all happened. I would over all rate this story a 4.5.
Scent of Danger by Alexa Verde Like the last two this book is not connected to any of the other stories in this book. This story did not disappoint and I would have to say was one of my favorites in this series of books. From page one till the end this book it had you on the edge of your seat. Also the story was super intense and so amazing. I don't think there was anything about this story I really didn't like. Overall I would give this book a 5 star.
Overall with these stories there are all good clean romance stories and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
TARGETED by 5 well known authors, and their stories, blend together beautifully. Letting readers into the lives of people, living alone, and trying to cope on a day by day basis. Running from a painful past, abuse, dealing with abuse cases, the effect of being in the war. Could one even imagine facing your own death, to survive. Or about to marry an older man, and the questions of what happened to his first wife. These stories will long linger, after reading them, they are trying to survive without love and being who they really are. A fantastic price for these 5/1 set, readers will not be disappointed in.
Great Authors in one set of books. I love reading Alexa Verde and Lynnette Bonner’s books. The other three authors were new to me. Now I have three more authors to read now. All five of the books were fast paced, Intriguing, adventurous, suspenseful, dangerous! I loved the hero’s and each book had me holding my breathe and always wondering who done it. Just when I thought I knew who was the bad person I’d change my mind and think it was someone else. Oh don’t read at night.. you may die of fright HA! Or stay awake all night. Five stars for each book. I received a copy of this set of books from Alexa Verde. I wasn’t compensated and this is 100% my own opinion of this boo
I thoroughly enjoyed the Islands Of Intrigue series, The Unrelenting Tide and Tide Will Tell. Great characters and story line with plenty of suspense and romance alike. I have also been reading Linda Rodante's series, Dangerous, and enjoyed Looking For Justice which is part of it. She always has a great spiritual message in it and deals with real life issues. I loved reading more about Alexis and her story. Honestly, I tried and gave up on the 4th book, Linked. I was so confused and it just kept getting worse for me. As for the last one, part of Scent Of Danger, I have read it before and loved it!
Loved this collection of 5 stories about woman fighting against evil and danger in their lives with Gods help. Very suspenseful with a little romance to spice things up. I gave 4 of these books a 5 star rating and the other one a 4 star rating. So I highly recommend this collection. You will not be disappointed.
I started with Linda K. Rodante's book in this set, & I LOVED IT!!! I could hardly put it down. It was a good thing I started reading it on a rainy weekend because I had an excuse to stay home & read all day!!!
Enjoy the novels very much. The more mystery the better. Less romance and no profanity or graphic violence. That's why I'm glad to be able to read this caliber of books. Thanks.
Loved it!!! Breath-taking and suspenseful. All 5 are well written. The trip to solution kept me guessing until the very end. Could hardly believe who done it!
Great stories. Believable characters and great plotlines! Would definitely recommend this collection of stories to anyone. Enjoyed this collection lots!
Each of the books were great in their own way. The series is full of excitement intrigue with just enough romance. Well worth the time invested to read the series.
I had read each of the books in this collection previously; so, this time I only skimmed through them briefly to refresh my memory. They are good, light entertainment.
