First of all, let me say, that before I read the recipes in this cookbook, I thought a barbecue was simply slapping hamburgers, steak, hot dogs, and chicken on a grill and hoping they didn't get too burned. :)

This book opened my eyes. It has everything: marinades, basting recipes, and sauces as well as recipes for chicken, steak, turkey, and pork ribs. So far of the recipes, I've tried my favorites are:

Marinades: Stunning Garlic Grilling Marinade (I used it on chicken and it was soooo yummy).

Now the Mystical Turkey Marinade I am going to save for Thanksgiving Dinner this year (minus the cayenne pepper and the creole seasoning. (I do not like my food spicy hot to any degree.)

I liked the mystical Grilled Steak with Whiskey and Dijon Sauce but I will use a tad less whiskey or not coat the steak so often while cooking.

Unfortunately, I live in western NY and it's only March so I've been able to fire up the grill very sporadically as I do not like standing out in the frigid wind or a snow storm to cook a meal. :) But Spring will be here in a month (hopefully) and I'm going to try every recipe in this book. If they are all of the caliber of the two I have tried, I'm in for a real treat. In fact, I might even invite my sister over to share the meal with me. :)

Poorly written with inconsistent units of measurement (grams and volume). The way the recipes are written read like it was written by someone who isn't an English speaker, or was not well translated from another language. I cannot recommend this book.

Very short

This book is very short and doesn't contain any pictures which is my reason for not giving it 5 stars.

Easy and simple

This has so many easy recipes! I love how simple they are and can easily be altered. Perfect for beginners.

Wow!

I wish this came with pictures, but love the recipes. I have tried one and made a little tweak, but it was delicious.
