A man of integrity…with a secret desire

Moose Garrett just wants to do the right thing. Fulfill his duty. Honor his parents. Fix his neighbors’ tractors. Ignore the girl he needs to forget.
Everyone in Sawyer expects Moose to woo and wed the town beauty queen – not Georgia Rowland. Hell, Moose’s parents have all but signed a marriage contract with the revered patriarch of another wealthy Sawyer family.
So yeah, it’s true that Georgia’s been tempting him ever since he hit puberty and discovered the allure of the opposite gender, but that doesn’t mean he’s actually going to give into the temptation.
Georgia is strictly off limits.
Totally.
But matters of the heart are about as predictable as a wildfire – a wildfire that comes straight out of nowhere…and changes everything.

A woman who’s all business…with a secret crush

Georgia has spent a lot of years – roughly 26 of them or so – pretending Moose Garrett wasn’t the finest man in Sawyer. She pushes pesky thoughts of him clear out of her mind. She never pays a bit of attention to his powerful build, or how his blue jeans show off his lean and muscular body. And for the record, she barely even notices the way his slow, sultry smile makes her knees wobbly.
Because that hardly ever happens.
As the youngest branch manager of the Goldfork Credit Union, and the first female to hold that position, she’s too busy for any of that nonsense. Besides, everyone knows Moose is bound to marry Sawyer’s reigning beauty. Georgia is sure he’d never give a moment’s notice to…well, to someone like her.
But when Miss No Nonsense sets out on a hike in the foothills of Long Valley and gets trapped amidst the flames of a wildfire, the only man she’s ever wanted swoops in to save her.
So yeah, Moose is the last man she should dream about.
But he’s the one man who will walk through danger and smoke and fire.

Just to find her…

Inferno of Love is the second novel in the Firefighters of Long Valley series, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. It has some strong language, and oh my, sexy times. Enjoy!

Well.. I think this is the first book I read by this author and I enjoyed it.
I’m giving three stars because I like my hero’s with more backbone than this one. It just annoyed me a lot that he was 26 and being told what to do by his father.
I enjoyed the plot, but I didn’t connect with the characters.
Moose was weak and kind of pathetic sometimes.
Georgia was interesting because she followed after what she wanted. She was independent and had her life together.
I don’t know, I just don’t like weak hero’s.

But, I’m not ready to give up on the series just yet. The first book was free on Amazon and I just downloaded and will be reading it next. Let’s see how it goes.

When Tripp, her assistant manager, told Georgia about the handsome cowboy waiting to see her, she assumed it was Levi. She had broken up with him 6 years ago now, and he still wasn’t over it. Instead, Moose Garrett walked in and her stomach, which had been lurching in one direction, now ended up reversing in the opposite direction – or it felt that way anyway! She had known Moose since they were babies. He was the one she could never have. He was asking for a donation from the credit union where she was branch manager to support the fire department’s fundraiser. When she offered a matching $50 savings deposit for a young person as a prize and incentive to save, his beautiful smile caused even more stomach jitters. But she knew she didn’t have the right to daydream about her cousin’s future fiancé, no matter how much she longed for him.

Georgia’s family had their usual Sunday dinner with her wealthy aunt, uncle, and cousins. She listened as her uncle pressured Tenny about her music lessons, and told her that he and Moose’s father were making sure Moose would ask her to marry him soon – or he would not inherit the John Deere dealership! When Virginia, the younger cousin, tried to tell her dad about her own music accomplishments, her mother shushed her. Georgia was so grateful for the parents she had. They were not as wealthy, but they had love and respect.

At the Firemen’s Fundraiser, Georgia finally met up with Tenny, Moose, and Levi. As the guys walked away, Tenny sighed about the nice view of one particular “posterior”. Georgia expressed shock when she realized Tenny meant Levi! From there, the two talked about the fact that she and Moose did not feel that way about each other. Georgia was stunned. How could this be true? Tenny and Moose were from the two wealthiest families, and marriage had always been the outcome. What could possibly stop this pairing if they truly did not feel that way? How could this situation be made right when neither of them could go against their powerful fathers’ lifelong plan?

This author writes great books, no doubt about it! I really enjoyed this one. Here are two very special people who have cared deeply for each other over a lifetime – and never said a word about how they felt. The emotional turmoil that would generate would be difficult to hide. The characters are very real and easy for the reader to care about! The story line moves at a good pace, the dialog flowing naturally; then the plot escalates and carries the reader along in the excitement. Will events push things to a happy conclusion, or is there nothing that can be done to sort this out?

Erin Wright does it again with a new book in her Long Valley Series. You don't have to read the previous stories to enjoy this one but it does add to the enjoyment because other characters show up in this book that we have read about in other books.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Ms Wright's Long Valley stories. Her characters are totally relatable and the plots are character driven and fast paced and pull you in from Chapter one and don't let you go until the end.

This story revolves around our hero Moose (his real name is Deere) and Georgia, a dog named Sparky, a forest fire, Moose's best friend Levi, Tennessee (Tenny, Georgia's cousin and best friend) and families who treat their kids like pawns in a wealthy chess game. Moose's family has pledged him to marry Tenny because their families are the two richest in town and they are completely old fashioned. However, Moose isn't attracted to Tenny and he has always had a thing for Georgia and Tenny isn't attracted to Moose so now what do they do? This is where the story gets really good and our characters find their courage and.....well, you'll just have to find out by reading the story but I promise you it is good!!

I loved Moose and Georgia's smart and funny banter and the back and forth, push and pull between these two, it was entertaining and just good reading! I loved Sparky the dog and her climb out of fear of humans and the compassion that everyone showed her.

I cannot wait to read Levi's story next, after his showing in this story, I'm anxious to see where Ms Wright takes him.

Trust me, this story and the whole Long Valley Series is something to spend your time on, the characters are richly written and relatable and Ms Wright unfolds their stories in a wonderful, comfortable way. They will become part of your reading family and you will be glad you read their stories!

They're not filing taxes in there!

Moose knows that holding Georgia in his arms was the purest, most amazing form of torture but he cannot resist any more but then....how will he ever resist again? She is just so....Georgia, so everything!
Georgia must be crazy not only has she spent YEARS drooling over Moose but now she has put her own life at risk....for a stray dog! Are her and Sparky going to burn to a crisp before she ever gets to even kiss Moose - that would just sum up her life entirely!
The heat between them singes everyone around them and that heat only increases with every look, every little touch until it explodes into a wildfire that neither one of them can control.
Another Long Valley book full of action, suspense, steamy moments and hot sex!

I've read all of the Long Valley books by Erin Wright, and enjoyed them all. This one was a struggle for me. The male character Deere a/k/a Moose was spineless boy not a man. I can sort of understand why he was, but I really didn't like him. Now the leading lady Georgia … is strong, capable, self sufficient and a very smart lady. I think she needed a stronger man to complement her, not a man who is weak. I understand that opposites attract, but still can't see these two as a couple.

I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Inferno of Love is all about life in a small Western town and finding out that love may be closer than you think. When you grow up with people it is sometimes difficult to see them as adults. Moose (named Deere by his John Deere delaler father) has been prepared to marry the daughter of the other rich family in town since he was a child. Obligation and responsibility weigh heavily on him as his pushy family controls his life. His only real fun is belonging to the volunteer fire department, and it takes a fire and rescue of his longtime friend, an cousin of his arranged future wife to wake up and find himself. The story is full of Erin Wright's signature humor and quirky sayings, It is great fun to read! And the characters and situations are very real. You will fall in love with them and want to keep reading to find out whether they can solve the seemingly impossible situation. Erin's stories are all about complicated families that have their conflicts and problems and Moose's family is a doozy.
When a wildfire traps Georgia, he rushes to rescue her and he suddenly realizes that she makes him see fireworks. The sexual tension between them builds, even as they keep thinking that they are "off limits" to each other. And there is a great dog story thrown in, with lots of local characters that make any small town more fun. No spoilers, but you will love to follow Moose and Georgia and there are some nice steamy scenes to follow. I volunteered to read and review an advanced copy of the book, but I am a big fan of Erin's books.

Georgia’s family is a father that is a teacher at the local high school. Her cousin Tennessee’s family has land and loads of money. It has been a given that Tennessee will marry Moose. Moose’s family owns the local John Deere franchise and is best friends with Tennessee’s family. The two fathers declared when they were younger that the two would marry. The two fathers are also horrible fathers who intimidate and control. Georgia has been in love with Moose since she was in high school, but she knew it would go no where. Levi, who is Moose’s best friend, used to date Georgia and still thinks he is in love with her. There are many things happening that changes the way these grownups look at each other.

I enjoyed the book. I found it hard to see Moose so controlled by his father. I was glad to see him finally stand up for himself. I also found something else about Moose that was hard to believe, but I will let you find that out yourself to see what you think. Georgia was a strong willed woman that didn’t let people walk all over her, and I liked that. Tennessee didn’t have much to say either and let her father walk all over her. I hated how her father treated her younger sister. I loved the part about a lost dog, and who the dog warmed up to. This is a good book and I encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

A story of unrequited love and honourable intentions, Inferno of Love is a well written drama set in a small town. Moose and Georgia have been attracted to one another ever since they hit puberty, but were unable to act on it due to the controlling influences of family. In many ways this is a sad book as it brings out the dreadful nature of controlling parents way into adulthood. In fact both Moose and Tennessee have been brainwashed into bowing to family pressure. When circumstances conspire to bring Moose and Georgia together, he finally realises that as hard as he tries to do the right thing for everyone else, that does not mean that the promises made to him will be kept. Moose is a delightful character but is a mix of adult caring, duty and honour, and immature actions borne out of his upbringing. Georgia is a strong and resourceful woman but at times she comes across as being overbearing. One has to see her actions in the light of Moose's inexperience and to recognise that she in fact has to be his teacher in the way of respectful relationships. I enjoyed this book as it is well written with suspense and drama. It is part of a series and characters from the previous book appear in this one too, but this novel is nevertheless a standalone. I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.

My New Favorite Erin Wright Book

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, Inferno Of Love by Erin Wright.

Getting a new Erin Wright book is like having Christmas and my birthday together on the same day! And this one is my new all time favorite by her!! It definitely is NOT all sunshine and roses. There are a few things I want to slap someone ( NOT Erin) over but it adds to the enjoyment of the story. Erin’s characters are NOT one dimensional! They come to life on the pages of her books and keep you glued to the very end.
This is book 2 of Erin’s Firefighters Of Long Valley series and while you CAN read them in any order you choose, I personally recommend reading in the order they are written. I love that they have characters from previous books in each of the new ones. I love reading more about characters I have come to love!
Moose (Deere) and Tennessee have been promised to one another practically since birth by their fathers and being the obedient “children” that they are, they do not question it even though they both are NOT happy about it. It takes Tennesse’s cousin, Georgia and a life threatening situation to make Moose have serious doubts about his future.

“Inferno of Love” is the second novel in Erin’s new Firefighters of Long Valley series. It is a wonderful love story that I really enjoyed reading. I have read a number of Erin’s books and I absolutely love her writing. Her storylines are well thought out and her characters Moose (Deere) and Georgia have such great chemistry and are well developed. The story held my interest from the first chapter to the last. How do you deal with the fact that the parents of the two richest families in Sawyer expect their children (Moose and Tennessee) to marry when these children now adults do not love each other? That was the basis of the plot which is romantic, emotional, confrontational and suspenseful. Loved Sparky and how she affected Troy. Who is Sparky and how did Moose and Tennessee address their parent’s dictates and how does Georgia fit into the picture? This was an awesome read and you will have to read this story to find out those answers because I don’t give spoilers. You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this story and look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I was given an Advanced Readers Copy for my honest review. It was a pleasure to read and review this story.

The characters, community, actions and reactions...all of these elements are important in either drawing me into a story or make me feel like a silent observer. Erin Wright once again has drawn me in with the Firefighters of Long Valley series!

In Inferno of Love, we watch as Deere “Moose” Garrett’s planned out life takes some twists and turns, and Georgia Rowland, a hard working, determined banking branch manager (who has to deal with older men who feel a woman shouldn’t be a bank manager...in 2018...but sadly true in some instances) tiptoe around their growing attraction.

In classic Erin Wright style, I was laughing, nodding my head in agreement (especially for Georgia who is a real gem!) and touched (especially for Sparky and Troy) by all of the characters. Her stories draw you into the community she creates and leaves you looking forward to more stories involving the supporting characters! Levi, Tennessee, Troy...many great characters here!

This was an ok book. I was just surprised that Moose, a 26 year old man AND Tennessee were going to allow themselves to be manipulated into a marriage. Not to mention having the carrot at the end of the stick dangled in front of you for YEARS, and constantly being moved out of reach. What century is this?

You have a brother that joined the military to get away from your father. You have a sister that is COMPLETELY DISMISSED by your parents, you know it, and do nothing to stand up for her, or even with her.

Thank goodness for Georgia because she was the only person with a spine in this group.

I have the book, and the audiobook, so I listened and read along at different pounrts. I discovered the last chapter of the book was absolutely nothing like the last chapter of the audiobook. I even went online to Amazon to check for updates. There were none. I noticed a couple of areas in the book didn't match up with the audio, but I was surprised by the book's ending.

I think the best scene in the book was between Rocky and Georgia. Other than that, it was just an OK book.

Hold on tight when love burns through your veins

Wow! I know that this was a work of fiction, but there are probably people out there like Moose and Tennessee's parents, and that is absolutely scary. To be forced into a marriage because their parents think it's a good idea definitely sounds like something from the 15th century. It was a good thing that they were finally able to stand up to the respective parents, and take back their lives. And it was a good thing that Moose finally let Georgia know how he felt. Although, I wished that he would have been a little more communicative with her after they started their relationship, but often men don't think to share things with their significant other that influence both of their lives. But Georgia certainly helped him see the errors of his ways in a loving way. I hope that we see more of them in some of the future stories. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of the book.

Cute story

Georgia is a spitfire! She knows her mind and her strengths, she works hard (manager of the credit union branch), and she's lived in a small town long enough to not be overly bothered by others' perceptions of her. That's backbone! Moose has a manipulative, verbally abusive father, and Moose has always tried to do what Dad wants. It takes a wildfire for Moose to realize it's time to grow up.

That was my biggest issue with this story. Moose, 26yo, is *finally* standing up to Dad? Never complained about his hours or wages? Younger brother leaves, but not him? All friends go away to college, and no doubts? Younger sister aspires to be chief physician of hospital? Where did she get her ambition, and Moose has none? Is he strong enough for Georgia?

Stand alone HEA, with hints of other books.

Contains sex scenes, swear words, and violence (parental bullying, manipulation, off page pet abuse).

Another brillant book by Erin. I really enjoyed reading about Moose & Georgia. They are both wonderful characters that will warm your heart. Georgia has loved Moose for as long as she can remember but he is off limits due to the fact that he has been raised knowing that he would marry her cousin Tennessee. Little does Georgia know but Moose is also in love with her. After a wild fire breaks, Moose races to the scene not realising that Georgia is the person trapped on Eagle's Nest. After spending the night together under the stars he makes a descision that he needs to follow his heart but he needs to talk to Tennessee first. Thankfully Tennessee is relieved once they have spoken but Moose learns that his is giving up running the family business.

This is the second book in the Firefighters of Long Valley series by Erin Wright. Set in the small town of Sawyer this book is one you'll want to read. The hero of the story is Deere who got his name because his father owned the local John Deere franchise. His family is the wealthiest in town and for years his family has expected him to marry the daughter of the second wealthiest family in town. His one true love is being a volunteer firefighter and while rescuing a lady in distress he realizes he has met his true love. Throw in the drama and complications because she just happens to be the cousin of his arranged bride to be. No spoiler here, but this book is great and full of family dynamics, plenty of steam and an entertaining story. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This was an awesome book just like all the rest of Erin's books.
Georgia and Moose have been love with each other most of their lives but they are off limits to each other because she is the daughter of a teacher with nothing and Moose is supposed to marry her cousin who is the daughter of one of the richest men on town. When things finally blow between Moose and his father, Moose gives up everything including inheriting the company business to be with Georgia. The only problem is that Moose disappeared after he and his father had their big blow up and hasn't talked to Georgia since. Will Georgia and Moose be able to work things out or did he go back to work for his dad and agree to marry her cousin anyway?

How do you deal with a tyrannical father who names you Deere just because he owns the local John Deere Dealership? Especially when he treats you like a hired hand and pays you less than anyone else makes? To top it all off, he has chosen your wife to be without any input from you. Unfortunately, that chosen one is the sister of the one you really want.
How do you deal with the fact that your sister is suppose to marry the man you've loved for years? Especially, when you know she doesn't want to.
Can they find a way out of their predicament?
I love this series. It full of excitement, passion and, sometimes, laughter.

Excellent contemporary small town romance. Moose is working fixing engines at his father's dealership but also a volunteer fireman. His father has controlled all aspects of his life including who he'll marry, Tennessee. Moose's father is considered wealthy along with Tennesse's parents. Georgia has always had feelings for Moose but would never hurt her cousin by acting on it. The story has great characters and the author gives us the details of their lives so the reader understands. Change is coming in this town. There are moments of excitement, angst, humor and love. I received a complementary copy of this book via Booksprout and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.

I just love this author and all of her work in the Town of Sawyer!! The characters are just so realistic and lovable. While this book can stand alone, it is great to see prior characters make appearances. I just can't put down a Ms. Wright novel. I would love to move to Sawyer, ID if I could. The plot flows so smoothly that before you know it, it is over. Moose and Georgia are a wonderful couple. After reading the prior novel, I was so looking forward to Moose's story. It didn't disappoint either. Now looking forward to Levi's. I can't wait for Troy's story either!!! Highly recommend!

Wright brings the heat with the second in the Firefighters of Long Valley spin off series.

The characters are well written and dynamic with a realistic quality. Set in small town Idaho, the plot is interesting and unexpected. I continue to enjoy this series. The reoccurring characters build a strong series while the individual books can easily be read as standalone novels. Wright continues to develop her talent and each book shows her hard work.

I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary/small town romance genre.

Moose had been betrothed to Tennessee almost since birth, despite this being the 21st century. Both knew what was expected of them and did not really fight the situation. But one day Moose rescues Georgia from a wild fire and all his surpressed feelings for her come to the surface. Little by little his rebellion against his domineering father starts.

Marriages arranged at birth. Men thinking a woman can't run a bank. What century are we living in? Maybe I should ask "Where do you live?". If the answer is Sawyer, Idaho, I would understand. Georgia loves Moose. Moose loves Georgia. Moose is "promised to wed" Tennessee. Levi still loves Georgia. Georgia and Tennessee are cousins. Moose and Levi are best friends. Tennessee has her eyes on Levi's "tush". Throw in a forest fire and an abused dog for a wonderful read. Can't wait for the next trip to Long Valley.

Erin Wright gives the reader a story about thinking love is not possible with the one who holds your heart because of family obligations.
Moose is supposed to marry Tennessee so that the two power families can come together. Georgia is her cousin who has been in love with Moose forever. Levi is Georgia's ex who Tennessee happens to be attracted to.
What happens when the life your family thinks you should have is not the one you want?
Georgia wants Moose but he is off limits. Moose wants Georgia but his family, especially his father, will not stand for it.
You'll root for Georgia and want to punch Moose's father when he speaks to her.
I was given this book fo an honest voluntary review.

This was my first read by this author and while I enjoyed the read I had a hard time feeling much of anything for the characters because I didn't connect with them. Yes you could tell there was something between them but it felt like half the story was missing then again maybe I should have started with the first book of the series. Regardless the writing is good and it's a clean read which is refreshing. It's a great read which for Deere/Moose is about growing up and taking control of his life and for Georgia it's about being heard and seen, respected for who she is. I did enjoy it and will be reading more of the series.

Sweetly sexy, emotionally thrilling, action packed romantic adventure filled with excitement, danger, passion and family expectations.

Deere Garrett (aka “Moose”) is the small town golden boy with his whole future planed and set for him by his family obligations that include a close to arranged marriage. As usual though life will always through you a curve ball when you think you have it all figured out. What are you waiting for, one click this baby and enjoy the fun and whitey banter it offers. Highly entertaining!

As always erin wright delivers a lovely story - but while the book is fun, funny and thoroughly enjoyable it is not quite as good as her previous books. the story lacks the depth found in her other books. The heroine is strong and quirky and easy to fall in love with but for me the hero falls a little short - while he seems to be a good man - his character is a little stunted (as he should be) but there was no chance to watch him grow. i wish i had more of their story as to me it is far from over
