I loved reading this book over and over. My first interest in dinosaurs. It opened my eyes to the fact that the world was very old and could be very different at different times. I remember reading it with my dad.

There were tons of beautiful full-colour drawings and the book gave me a much better inside look at dinosaurs by explaining how they might have lived their lives through various stories in a day in their lives, rather than reciting dry facts.

When I was a little girl obsessed with dinosaurs, this book was my bible. Reading this in 2017, the information and dino facts are a bit outdated, and the illustrations are hit and miss, but it's still a fairly solid and unique book for any kid in your life who loves prehistoric beasties.

Colossal Book of Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Creatures, Dinosaurs of the Land, Air, and Sea, and this book are four amazing edutainment books of the members of the taxonomic category Dinosauria. This one might be my favorite of the lot. I especially like the Parasaurolophus, Smilodon, and Woolly rhinoceros stories!
A favorite then and still holds up now!(That is, except in accuracy. Smilodon could not beat Megatherium unless it was an adult Smilodon and young Megatherium. And that’s just one of many inaccuracies.)
