When John Stranger arrives in Arizona, he finds himself on the edge of a bitter war between sworn enemies -- two tribes who've fought for over a century. After the son of Arizona's governor is taken hostage, John is called upon to save the young man's life. Will all be lost when the Stranger himself is taken captive? Or can the God he serves bring great good out of a situation that is devoid of hope?
