Savvy stylist Amanda Wright loves Marietta, her hair salon, and her clients, and no client is more dear to her heart then eighty year old Bette Justice–even if her years have made her a little fragile. So when Bette asks Amanda to help her convince her determined grandson, Tyler, a successful game designer, that Marietta is the right home for Bette, Amanda can’t say no
Tyler Justice has a one-track mind–he wants to take care of his beloved grandmother. He can’t understand her resistance to move to Texas and is sure that the young friend she keeps mentioning–Amanda–is taking advantage of his grandmother’s generosity. He reaches Marietta determined to put the salon owner in her place and bring his grandmother home…until smart, kind Amanda starts to tug at his heart in ways he never expected.
But just as Tyler and Amanda start to form a real connection, will a long buried family secret destroy their chance at love ?
Born in Visalia, California, I'm a small town girl at heart. I love central California's golden foothills, oak trees, and the miles of farmland. In my mind, there's nothing sweeter in the world than the heady fragrance of orange blossoms on a sultry summer night.
As a little girl I spent hours on my bed, staring out the window, dreaming of far off places, fearless knights, and happy-ever-after endings. In my imagination I was never the geeky bookworm with the thick coke-bottle glasses, but a princess, a magical fairy, a Joan-of-Arc crusader.
My parents fed my imagination by taking our family to Europe for a year when I was thirteen. The year away changed me (I wasn't a geek for once!) and overseas I discovered a huge and wonderful world with different cultures and customs. I loved everything about Europe, but felt especially passionate about Italy and those gorgeous Italian men (no wonder my first very Presents hero was Italian).
I confess, after that incredible year in Europe, the travel bug bit, and bit hard. I spent much of my high school and college years abroad, studying in South Africa, Japan and Ireland. South Africa remains a country of my heart, the people, the land and politics complex and heart-wrenching.
After my years of traveling and studying I had to settle down and earn a living. With my Bachelors degree from UCLA in American Studies, a program that combines American literature and American history, I've worked in sales and marketing, as well as a director of a non-profit foundation. Later I earned my Masters in Writing from the University of San Francisco and taught jr. high and high school English.
I now live in Seattle and Hawaii with my three sons. I never mind a rainy day, either, because that's when I sit at my desk and write stories about far-away places, fascinating people, and most importantly of all, love. I like a story with a happy ending. We all do.
First things first, the cover - beautiful. It's beautiful. It's sweet and an accurate reflection of the book.
Now, because our mothers taught us not to judge a book by its cover, let's get on with the rest of the review. The story takes place in a small town called Marietta, Montana. I love books about small towns especially if they remind me of the small town I grew up in. The town in this book could have been the town I grew up in, from the lone poor family to the way gossip spreads like a wildfire, to the snow that plagued us for 6 months of the year, I was right there with the characters experiencing everything that small town offered.
Amanda grew up in the small town, she loves living there and can't imagine living anywhere else. Tyler on the other hand has always lived in the city. He is in Marietta for one reason and one reason only, to convince Bette, his grandmother, to come live with him hundreds of miles away from her home and friends. There's drama, angst, and an old lady who refuses to take orders from anybody. This book is worth the read for the old lady alone. I adored Bette. She reminded me a lot of my grandmother.
The characters were well developed, there was a solid story line, but somewhere in the mix the relationship seemed to fall to the wayside. We see Amanda and Tyler spend time together; they tell us how much they care about each other, but I was left feeling like the relationship could have been developed more.
Overall, Take a Chance on Me was a wholesome and engaging read. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading about small towns and happily ever afters.
I received an copy of this book from the author/ publisher via NetGalley prior to publication in exchange for an honest review.
Coming from a somewhat dysfunctional family, from the wrong side of town, the Wright sisters are determined, very supportive of each other and their friends and they are determined to make their way in the world. Amanda Wright has put herself at financial risk to help out her parents but is hard working, independent and sassy, striving to make her hair salon a success and to make her other dreams come true. She won’t accept charity and is fuming when she learns that the grandson of her friend and elderly client, Bette Justice, suspects she has been taking advantage of the octogenarian.
The grandson is Tyler Justice and he’s driven into Marietta with the aim of driving out again, as soon as possible, taking his grandmother with him to his home in Austin, Texas, away from any scheming money-grabbing locals. However, his first undercover encounter with Amanda has him reevaluating his thoughts about her, especially as attraction builds between the two. However, historical secrets will be revealed which could tear them apart . . . .
This is another lovely story set in Marietta, Montana. It has great characters - especially Bette! There are a few surprising twists en route, most of them provided by matchmaker Bette. I liked how Tyler’s initial thoughts regarding Marietta had to be revised and the epilogue is lovely! This is an emotional roller coaster ride and a lovely addition to the Marietta based romances.
I requested and received a copy of this novel via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.
I was frankly, bored with this. Bored because I could see the conflict and the eventual resolution coming, unmoved because I couldn’t feel any chemistry between Amanda and Tyler.
Porter posits Marietta as a small but pretty base where happiness is an almost-guarantee (Tule’s publishing numerous Marietta books attest to it), so it was a given that Tyler would in the end, learn to love the place as Amanda and Bette do…there was no other option available here, because apparently Marietta was the answer to problems, so the man—who apparently is the one with the one-track mind—has to do all the compromising, when it became evident that the whole book centred around getting Tyler to see the beauty of the community that was Marietta.
In fact, I didn’t think Tyler was an arse at all, not when his way of wanting to move his grandmother somewhere else had merit which no one else would see. That Amanda pushed her own issues of her past on to Tyler rather unfairly, or that Tyler seemed to be the one always giving in made it hard to read on, especially when Tyler was the only one made to go on the uphill climb to find his own feet when everyone else sang the happy song of Marietta.
‘Take a Chance on Me’ rubbed me the wrong way early in the book and sadly, I never quite got back that sense of traction or the desire to go on.
This book bumped along at first as an okay if uninspiring read. Amanda seemed nice enough, and Tyler was a bit of a jerk in his lack of listening ability, though he clearly cared for his grandmother. They got together, with little to no effort needed, and the road seemed clear to HEAland. So far so normal. Except things began dragging themselves out a lot.
They’re together and things are going well. Amanda loves Marietta, she has a growing business and family nearby; Grandmother Bette has all her friends and a full life in the town; and Tyler hates where he lives and doesn’t even have a job there anymore. There really shouldn’t have been any conflict about him moving to Marietta, because he’s clearly moving somewhere and wants to be close to his grandmother (and his old business), so the answer is obvious. But no, there must be non-existent drama.
Which was, quite frankly, irritating. But wait, there’s more! Because it turns out Amanda has some real issues about her childhood poverty and the way the town treated her and how she can never get away from that stigma (just move!) and woe, woe, woe, is she, because there’s also a family secret that really has nothing to do with her but suddenly the whole thing explodes because It’s All About Amanda! No one feels pain like she does. No one feels shame like she does. All these people telling lies, being awful. It’s so unfair! She must punish everyone – including Tyler, who really is not at fault.
I wanted to drown her in Miracle Lake.
So… this book didn’t work for me, because of the unnecessary drama about whether or not Tyler would move to Marietta, followed by Amanda’s unnecessary drama which could have been quite easily solved by her moving away from Marietta, and all the stuff that really had nothing to do with her but that she made all about her because Reasons! Nope. Sorry, but nope.
Amanda Wright was raised on the wrong side of the tracks and was always looked down on in Marietta. When her parents got into financial problems, she helped them out and almost lost her salon. One of her favorite customers, Bette Justice, gave her a loan which she paid back. Bette is in her 80s and her grandson, Tyler, wants her to come and live with him in Austin, Texas. He also wants to check out this young woman who appears to be taking advantage of her financially. He sneaks into town a few days earlier than his grandmother expects and heads to the salon to check her out. What he finds is surprising. A young, attractive, friendly and sincere woman who gives an excellent haircut.
Meanwhile, Bette is hoping to play matchmaker with her grandson and the girl who she has come to think of as her granddaughter. Things do not go smoothly. Amanda has a lot of feelings from her youth about her inferiority and whether she is worthy of a wealthy suitor. When Bette shares other information about the past, she reacts like a wounded animal and goes into hiding. Can she -overcome the feelings she has about her self-worth and what she perceives others think of her? Will Tyler understand how Bette feels about Marietta and stop trying to get her to leave? Will he realize that Marietta is a great town to live in? A sweet romance that has its bumps along the way. I love visiting the town of Marietta, Montana in the various series and stories that take place here. Anyone who enjoys a sweet romance will love this story and the other two in this series. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.
Disappointing. I’ve read many of this author’s books and usually enjoyed them but this one? Basically it was boring. I thought it made a great start and then fell apart and I totally disliked the way Tyler was expected to do all the compromising, all the running by the rigid, stuck in a rut, pity party Mandy.
I struggled with this romanticised version of small town America, where of course everyone had to stay and be happy. , or else! The reveal about How Mandy and her sisters had always felt put down in this so called ‘lovely’ town didn’t explain why Mandy felt she had to stay there.
I liked Tyler, who actually cared about Bette, even though he was a little late in realising she knew what she wanted and needed better than him. Mandy started off as a great character but I just got bored with her ‘I am independent and won’t take anyone’s support and everyone else is wrong but me’ attitude. She really became a totally self-obsessed pain in the neck and quite frankly I could not see what Tyler would see in her.
It just never packed an emotional punch for me and the romance seemed totally underdone.
I’ve always been a Jane Porter fan, don’t know how I missed this series. Small town romance, wonderful characters, some laughs and an amazing romance. Looking forward to Book 2.
***I received an e-copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.***
I wish I had connected with Take a Chance on Me, by Jane Porter, but I struggled in multiple ways with this book. Mandy owns a salon and has befriended her elderly client, Bette. Bette’s grandson is coming to town, and he wants to move Bette to Texas with him and away from her beloved small town of Marietta. Bette asks Mandy for her help to convince Tyler that Bette belongs in Marietta.
The plot was predictable in the way most romance books are, as I think the reader understands from the beginning that Tyler will eventually see the charms of the town of Marietta. I wasn’t bothered by this aspect of the story. For me, the whole story felt a little flat. Take the chemistry between Mandy and Tyler, or what was a lack of chemistry in my eyes. I never felt it, not once. Porter wrote it in, but it never convinced me. Moreover, it was all telling and no showing. It didn’t help that Mandy was stubborn in regard to believing Tyler liked her. I’ve never been a fan of that trope. Mandy seemed a bit all over the place in terms of emotions. Eventually it’s her hang-ups that push them apart. The link in their past was weak, inserted to create drama between the couple. It just didn’t feel realistic. In fact, a lot of the push and pull between Tyler and Amanda felt forced and manufactured.
Tyler was ok, a bit of a bully at first, even if his heart was in the right place. He wanted to take care of his grandmother and was concerned about her physical and financial well-being. It's not a stretch to realize he couldn’t initially understand Bette’s emotional well-being was tied to the small town where she’d always lived, but that he would eventually. There was a small amount of character growth in him as he came to terms with Marietta, Mandy, Bette’s needs and his own. I suppose there was a small amount for Mandy too.
I thought Bette would play a bigger role in the story. I guess I wanted a grandmother that added more personality to the plot. I thought she’d be a firecracker but she wasn’t. She was cute, but I think she could have brought a little more attitude to the story.
The story aside, I struggled a bit with the writing. There were odd word choices and phrases that pulled me out of the story while I tried to interpret them. This story was unfortunately a miss for me.
This was such a good story. Bette is an eighty-year-old young grandmother who lives her life large. Bette Justice is the grand dame of Marietta, Montana. She is a part of the movie club, the bridge club, the birthday club, and numerous charities. She’s a widow now to a husband Don a strict ex-military man who expected no less than that from those at home. Including those at home. Especially, his son Patrick. So, much that he left home for college only returning one time, and then never again. Making it that in order for her to meet and visit her grandsons she had to go to California. When Don passed away and a year later Patrick, Bette was devastated. But when Coby, her eldest grandson passed it made her more determined to keep close to Tyler. Tyler was determined not to live in his brother’s shadow when he died and become his own man. Becoming one of the Silicone Valley prize game designers. Starting from scratch and becoming the king at the top. When it came time to go public he decided he wanted to sell to a bigger company. Where he could still have creative control for the first five years before stepping down. But it meant moving to Texas and that where he wanted Bette. Bette didn’t want to go. So, she knew he was coming for the weekend to talk her into going with him. When he got there, she wanted all her ducks in a row. She talked to her young friend and hair stylist Amanda Wright. She wanted Mandy to show and tell Tyler all the wonderful things about Marietta. Because all of Bette’s friends were there and she just couldn’t leave. Bette loved Mandy to death she knew she and her sister had come from nothing. Never took handouts. Worked for everything they had and put themselves through college. What Bette didn’t know was that Tyler had found out gifted and loaned money to Mandy so he had to meet this Mandy person for himself make sure she wasn’t taking advantage of his grandma. Was he in for a surprise. See where this author takes these characters and your emotions. Loved this story. The characters were well rounded. The story took some turns that were unexpected. I didn’t see coming. I give this: 5++++ stars. Provided by netgalley.com. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.
Take a Chance on Me by Jane Porter This book starts out with Ty James and he has Amanda Wright styling his hair at her salon. She falls in love with his masculine looks (she and her sister Charity are romance novel addicts). Later Bette stops in with lunch before her weekly visit and she learns now who Tyler really is-Bette's grandson. She is able to track him down at The Graff Hotel and lets him know she doesn't like the deception of arriving early and not letting his grandmother know he's in town. He's a game developer and he learns his grandmother wanted Amanda to show him around town to show how much she loved this area and she's busy in the community. Love catching up with other characters in the town of Marietta, MT as I've read all the books and other author's works from this area. Ty is really there because his grandmother wants to change her will to leave everything to Amanda and he just wants to check her out-make sure she's not being taken advantage of. Ty has to leave due to the tech giant talks but his mind is still on Amanda and Marietta. Love the idea of the birthday club and what's all involved-prescious! Like how this book brings it all together full circle with other books and families in the series. Other works and excerpts from the series are included. Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
When Tyler Justice caught wind of his grandmother's plan to leave an inheritance to a young woman in her town, he knew he had to get to Marietta, Montana fast. But what Tyler found, instead of a conniving gold digger, was a sweet hard working lady who considered his grandmother, Bette, to be one of her best friends.
Amanda Wright was a beauty salon owner with big dreams. When a handsome guy comes in for a cut one day, she instantly becomes friends with him not knowing he is really Bette's son who plans to get her to move to Texas with him. Amanda is devastated when she finds out the truth.
Bette had a plan of her own and she had already set it into motion. She is thrilled when she finds out Amanda and Tyler finally started dating. But, a secret from the past soon threatens their new relationship. Now it's up to Bette and Amanda's family to get Amanda to realize Tyler is the perfect man for her.
This is a heartwarming story that will remind you of the power of love and family and that not all secrets are bad. I really enjoyed this story. The characters felt real with their goals, values and opinions. If you like a sweet small town romance, I would recommend this book.
This was a sweet small town romance that warmed my heart and left me smiling. The plot is simple but fun and I loved these characters especially Bette Justice, Ty's well meaning meddling Grandma. Maybe it's her name ;) !
Amanda is a hometown Marietta girl and happy with her choice stay right there. She loves the life she's built. It hasn't always been easy considering where she came from but she's put the past behind her and right now life is good. Tyler Justice comes to Marietta to try and convince his stubborn Grandmother to move with him to Austin. He's convinced she's being taken advantage of and he won't have it! Once he meets and gets to know Amanda he realizes he's got it all wrong.
This was a great relaxing read that I'd definitely recommend to everyone.
Take a Chance on Me is a fresh and fun read. It takes place in the Marietta, Montana universe and is a great addition to the many other books set there. (I'm not sure how the publisher is able to maintain the quality of these books, but almost all of the Marietta books are 4 or 5 star books, in my opinion.)
Amanda is a very likable and well developed heroine and Tyler is a bit of a stiff of a hero (he does, of course, warm up over the course of the book). I also really liked Bette and her relationship with both characters and her gentle meddling in their lives.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of contemporary romance that is on the sweeter side.
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
A delightful heart warming romance in my favorite town of Marietta. Amanda, stylist has worked hard for everything she has in her life. She loves her town of Marietta and her clients. Her favorite client is Bette, 80 years young. Bette needs her help to convince her grandson, Tyler that Marietta is the place that Bette wants to place. When Tyler arrives in Marietta, he stops for a hair cut at the salon and things do not go well.
As a the story develops, with Bette meddling into the romance of Amanda and Tyler secrets come out of their past families. Soon Tyler might decide find out why everyone loves Marietta. I think my new favorite color is pink! I highly recommend this story.
Amanda has befriended her 80 year old client Bette. When her grandson try to convince Bette to move to Texas Amanda agrees to show Tyler how wonderful Marietta really is. Tyler is here to put this Amanda person in her place. He is positive she is taking advantage of his grandmother. When he sees her for the first time she is not at all what he is expecting. As he gets to know her he realizes he might have been wrong about her. Just when things start to heat up a family secret comes to light that could ruin everything. Can the past just stay in the past or is it destine to determine the future. Great read. Sometimes you just need a feel good book to escape the reality of every day.
When Tyler comes to Mandy’s hair salon for a cut she has no idea he is her friends grandson she just knows she is attracted to him, and I was not, took me a while to figure out what his grandma Bette was up to, but that was just part of the of the fun of this delicious read. My wish is for this endearing love story to be made into a movie, with a fabulous older actress to play Bette and for the movie to have a feel good ending like the book, it left me feeling in the Pink all day! I would love the movie to show the town of Marietta and Tyler and Mandy’s first kiss, first dance.
Amanda is a hair stylist and she is doing Tyler's hair. She finds him a little bit nerve racking and she isnt sure why. Tyler happens to be Bette's grandson who was a game designer. He now doesn't have a job because the company he worked for was sold. He is in town to talk to the new owner about a job but also to see who the little gold digger after his grandmother's money was.
Its a really good book that will hold your interest to the end and one that I think you will enjoy reading.
I voluntarily read a advanced reader's copy of this book
Take a Chance on Me by Jane Porter. Book three in the Love on Chance Avenue series a great addition to the series. A heart-warming story of friends, family and possible romance. I look forward to reading more in this series and more by Jane Porter.
I’m not really sure on my views for this book. I think the writing and the descriptions were good but I found the plot to be boring and cliche. I didn’t like the main characters much, though I quite liked Bette. To be honest I have no words because I liked parts and I hated parts, it’s one of those books that you unsure of what you think.
This was a really good story, and absolutely clean. Tyler comes to Marietta because his grandmother is changing her will to leave things to some strange woman. He doesn't need the money, but he doesn't want Gram taken advantage of. Amanda grew up poor, and so is very proud of her salon and her dreams, working hard to achieve them. Bette loaned her money to help her get the building for the salon.
Tyler and Amanda are developed satisfactorily, though we are told a lot about their pasts instead of seeing them. I would've liked to have seen more of his Tyler developed his business, explored his feelings about his brother and his parents. Amanda's got some serious issues with Marietta, but she's also devoted to it, which isn't adequately explained. She also has issues with her parents, which impact her still but aren't explored or resolved in any way.
Gram is amazing!! She's a secondary character, but so developed. She sounds like the best parts of all grandmothers combined into one person. Charity has so much talent.
The setting is well done. I live in the northern Rockies, and that's what winter is. The plot is straightforward, with only a few contrivances (why Kirk?, selling, falling).
Do I need to read books before this one: no Would I read more of the series: yes Cliffhanger: no POSSIBLE TRIGGERS Sex: kisses only Language: 0 F words, 3 Lord's name in vain, 0 S words Violence: report of bullying
CRITIQUE (spoilers) The author writes that Amanda and Tyler talk all evening of her friend's wedding, but we don't get any of it. This is where we could have gotten to know them as people, to see the romance and respect develop. We only get a snippet. I prefer conversation over interior monologue for learning how a character thinks. Huge missed opportunity.
The publisher needs to insert visual breaks to signal changes in point of view or significant changes in time. It's jarring, otherwise.
I’ve always loved stories set in small towns and Take a Chance on Me hit all the right notes. The fictional town of Marietta felt like home, reminding me of the close-knit community I once lived in and still miss. The heroine, Amanda Wright, owns a local salon and genuinely cares for her clients. One standout is 80-year-old Bette, a beloved townsperson who doesn’t want to relocate to Texas to be with her grandson. I related to her deeply–moving away from your roots is no small thing.
Enter Tyler Justice, Bette’s grandson and the hero of the story. At first, I was skeptical of him—he arrives in Marietta with accusations against Amanda and a plan to drag his grandmother back to his home. But as the story unfolds, it was fun watching Bette and Amanda nudge Tyler’s perspective. His character arc was satisfying, especially as he began to truly understand the life his grandmother had built.
The romance between Amanda and Tyler had its share of ups and downs, making the happy ending all the more rewarding. Tyler’s company and Amanda’s family secret added layers of tension that kept me turning pages. I loved Amanda’s quirky flair—her love of the color pink, and how she boldly used it in unexpected ways. It was endearing to see Tyler come to appreciate that part of her personality.
Jane Porter’s writing was engaging, and I found myself breezing through the book in just a few hours. All I could heard when I saw the title of this book was Take a Chance on Me by ABBA—one of my all-time favorite songs. So, it feels perfectly fitting to say that I’m glad I took a chance on reading this book by Jane Porter! If you enjoy heartfelt romance, small-town charm, and a story that balances warmth with just the right amount of drama, I wholeheartedly recommend others take a chance on this delightful read!
I loved this book. “Take A Chance On Me” is book three in Jane Porter's Love On Chance Avenue series. It was a sweet story about family, love and friendship. It takes place in the small town of Marietta, Montana. You get the dynamics of small town living, neighbor helping neighbor, friends becoming closer than family and obviously your town gossips. The love and concern that Tyler showed for his grandmother Bette was heart warming. The special friendship that Bette and Amanda had formed was very special. I would have to say Bette was quit the character. She knew that Tyler and Amanda were perfect for each other and she was determined to get them together, no matter what the cost. My favorite characters and the one I could relate to most was the two Wright sisters, Amanda and Charity. I enjoyed “Take A Chance On Me” so much I need to go back and read the stories I missed. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tule Publishing through NetGalley, Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Book 3 in Miracle on Chance Avenue series. All are stand alone books.
Amanda Wright is the middle Wright sister and has a successful salon. She has always been very independent and strives to prove she was better than her past.
Tyler Justice shows up to make sure that no one is taking advantage of his grandmother and to try and convince her to move to his house.
Bette, is Tyler's grandmother and she is absolutely delightful secondary character. Tyler and Amanda butt heads as they work through misunderstandings regarding Bette. Bette is known as a matchmaker around town and seems to be trying to work her magic on Amanda and Tyler, in spite of telling them that she was not.
I enjoyed this newest story in the series and look forward to the next one. If you like a fairly quick read that has fun characters, with a strong heroine and a hero with a soft spot for his gram, you will love this story!
Tyler Justice loves his grandmother Bette dearly, which is why he’s determined to move her closer to where he’s based in Texas, and to ensure she isn’t being taken advantage of by unscrupulous friends in Marietta. Amanda Wright is someone he’s looking at more closely to ensure her motives are on the up and up.
Take a Chance on Me by Jane Porter is the third in her Love on Chance Avenue series set in Marietta, Montana. Amanda is a hairdresser and stylist making a name for herself, and loves her hometown and its sometimes quirky inhabitants. While her friend Bette’s grandson is certainly handsome, his attitude rubs her the wrong way.
Jane Porter’s story is full of small-town charm and sometimes small-town challenges. A sweet and entertaining read.
“Take a Chance on Me”(Miracle on Chance Avenue Book3)
This was a straight forward romance book,a good romance book, without any mystery or anything else to muck it up.Plus it takes place in what is becoming one of my favorite places,Marietta, Montana. It is all about the people and what it means to be a good person. It’s about integrity, and knowing when you’re wrong to say you’re wrong. It’s also about love and a deep friendship. And it puts back your faith in humanity. I hope you’ll give it a chance.
I liked Amanda’s strength and independence, and how she moved beyond her poor childhood to go to college and start her own business in the town that shunned her and her family. I liked the fact that Tyler didn’t insist that his grandmother move. Bette is quite a character.
I don’t know why there was so much secrecy about the parents and why Amanda got so upset. Overall, a nice read with a HEA.
TAKE A CHANCE ON ME by Jane Porter, Miracle on Chance Avenue book 3
A compelling story about two people of different social standing, family dynamics, and their love for an elderly grandma who loves them both. TAKE A CHANCE ON ME is a delightful romance about Mandy and Ty overcoming their differences with the help of Ty’s meddling grandma whose sweetness brings them together. Jane Porter delivers strong emotional stories that are sexy and sweet.
Another wonderful book by Jane Porter. I love the books set in fictional town of Marietta Montana. This is Amanda Wright’s story. I have enjoyed getting to know the various families in Marietta and the background of the Wright sisters is so heartbreaking. It is wonderful that things are going well for Amanda and she meets Tyler Justice. Initially they have some misunderstandings but things work out and their relationship is sweet. I really like Amanda and all her resilience.
