I read this for my son's reading time. A little late/early for Christmas but that's okay. I just want to show them the different characters from Sesame Street.

This was a fun children's book, my grown special needs son giggled when he saw "Cookie Monster" as the main character. I was a bit surprised that the author could use word for word of the traditional "Twas the night before Christmas" poem. Over half the book is word for word of the original. But Cookie has eaten all of Santa's treats! So his friends come over and they all pitch in and make Santa a new batch.

This Sesame Street take on “The Night Before Christmas” includes bits of the original poem, but adds a twist. Cookie Monster realizes that he has eaten all of Santa’s cookies just in time to make some more, with help from his friends. This would be a good alternative story if your family likes Sesame Street, although I wouldn’t say it is different enough that I’d want to read this AND the original.

I read this book at story time. Every kid was asked to draw the monster they liked most. I had 3 Elmo, 3 cookie, 2 Abby, and my crazy self drew Oscar. My boss looked at me and said well Bree they do say that we tend to choose the character that were most like. Lol

This is a cute book, and I liked how they used the Seasame Street characters to tell a different version of Twas the Night Before Christmas. This is a book that is for preschool-aged children or younger. I love all the illustrations. I would recommend this book for a story to tell around Christmas.

Uh oh! Cookie Monster ate Santa's cookies. No problem! Cookie's friends come to help him back some more. The traditional rhyming story gets infused with some extra lines to round out this hybrid classic Sesame Street style. Art is full color and portrays Elmo, Ernie, Bert, Abby and more.

Cute and colourful and a great book to teach children the poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas with lovable Sesame Street characters. I think children from 2 to 9 would like this.

June 30, 2023I read the baby board book version. It’s shorter and just the original poem. Very good! I like the questions on the side to keep kids engaged :)

Cute, I like that it was different than the normal Night Before Christmas while adding in the cute Sesame Street crowd and charm.

I have to come back and add that this is now my 20 month old grandson's favorite book. We read it a lot.
Sesame Street take on The Night Before Christmas. Cookie Monster has eaten all the cookies and Santa is on his way, what to do! Luckily, all his friends show up to help bake fresh new cookies, and Santa loves their cookies so much he eats 3 and leaves lovely presents. Told in rhyme, but with Sesame Street references, this is exactly the kind of tension and disaster a child can shiver over and find glee at the solution. It is one my coffee table should we need an impromptu read.

What an adorable book for reading to a child! Makes me so excited for Christmas and reading to young ones! The story just flows off your tongue and makes it such a fun read! I can see a plate of cookies sitting next to me as the children eat and listen to the fun story. The colors of the pages and the excitement as the Cookie Monster and all his friends make cookies for Santa will delight the little one's hearing the story. I loved the extra special recipe at the end. Thank you to "Goodreads first reads" for the free book! I love receiving these books and enjoy reviewing them!

I thought this was a pretty good children's book. Cookie monster eats all the cookies and he and his friends make more for Santa. The colors were nice and bright, the text was easy to read and there is a cookie recipe at the end so you can make your own cookies for Santa (or whenever). My 2-year old really enjoys this book and has asked for it several times.

Won this from a Goodreads giveaway...the kids were excited to read a book with all their favorite Sesame Street characters AND Santa. We enjoyed reading it together and I'm sure we'll read it many more times between now and Christmas. Pictures were bright and cheery.

I love this book! Such a cute take on the classic poem. Cookie Monster eats Santa's cookies and then regrets it, so his friends come over to help make new cookies for Santa. I really enjoyed the illustrations too, they were different from most Sesame Street books we have read.
