“I can’t live knowing every time you go out, you might not come back.”

A beautiful vigilante and the hero she never knew she needed…

Intense, SEXY, thrilling, and entertaining as hell...Tia Louise sure knows how to bring a girl to her knees in just a few pages! These characters were absolutely ELECTRIC! Hit Girl has got to be one of my FAVORITES of Ms. Louise’s work. Nail-biting, heart-clenching, provocative, and powerful, HIT GIRL gives us a strong heroine that we can admire and a devoted hero who was so damn easy to fall in love with. Molly and Joshua took these pages by storm and there was NO going back.

Tia Louise never disappoints and she delivers something spectacular with HIT GIRL! I couldn’t have asked for a better second-chance romance from this author. It’s EVERYTHING I could have ever wanted in a romantic suspense! HIT GIRL was absolute PERFECTION!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Hit Girl (stand-alone). Hit girl is torn between love & her quest for revenge!

Hit Girl (stand-alone) opens up to hit girl Molly Dixon aka Rogue aka “HitGirl” “DollBaby” seeking the truth while carrying out vengeance on the people who hurt her as a child.

As her mission nears its end, her one-year relationship with heir and philanthropist Joshua Andrews is heating up. He wants Molly to be more open about her past and her secrets, but she fears he will try to stop her.

It’s a race against time, with Joshua and their relationship making Molly reckless. Someone is watching! Are they out to hurt her? Are they out to frame her? Are they out to protect her? Are they out to love her?

Six words to describe Joshua Andrews: Patient, noble, loyal, easy-going, observant and oh so sweet.

Six words to describe Molly Dixon aka Rogue aka “HitGirl” “DollBaby”: Determined, smart, selfish, stubborn, lonely, independent.

Hit Girl, told from dual POVs, is a romantic thriller filled with romance, danger, tragic pasts, secrets, lies, suspense and bittersweet revenge.

description~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~
To say I was excited to get my hands on this book would be an understatement. As much as I couldn't stand Molly's character in the previous book I was still super intrigued with the whole "HIT GIRL" out for revenge angle. And I was curious to see if this author could pull off the impossible and get me to LIKE (maybe even LOVE) Molly's character. Hint...she DID. So on to the deets...the writing was fantastic (it always is with this author). The pace was perfect, and I never grew bored or felt the need to skim. The plot was engaging. This was a fairly quick read for me clocking in at just under three hours (the book ends at 75% on my Kindle App). It's also told in dual POVs (Molly & Joshua). Last, it was all wrapped up in a very sweet and pretty much perfect ending. I'd like to think it was hinted that maybe there is more to come for these characters?

~HERO~
JOSHUA...I ADORED Josh. I loved him in the previous book and I ADORED him in this one. He was just a good solid hero. He was sweet. He was sexy. He had a huge heart. He loved Molly completely.

~HEROINE~
MOLLY...So it's pretty much NO secret that I HATED Molly in the second book of the BRIGHT LIGHTS duet. I thought she was a self-centered brat. So I'll admit I went into this book with a TINY bit of trepidation. Well, I am happy to say I DID like her more in this book. That said, whenever she had any interaction with Lara, Mark, or Roland she reverted to the nasty spoiled b!tch of the previous book. Luckily those times were few and far between. I loved how she was with Josh. I loved her relationship with Stas. I felt like she grew up in this book. She became a better person who thought more about others than herself.

description

~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
There was a nice array of secondary characters in this one. Some we know from the previous books (Lara, Mark, Roland) and a couple new ones (Dean and Stas) <--- I'd love to see both those guys get books of their own. Especially, Stas, he needs a happily ever after. We also get a brief look at another VAWRY intriguing character SHOOTER. I feel like she has a story to tell as well. A girl can hope, right?

~HEAT LEVEL~
Mediumish I guess. The sex scenes were suitably hot, and the frequency felt organic to the story and the main couple had good on page chemistry.

~ANGST LEVEL~
Low. This one didn't feel angsty to me at all. This couple starts the book already together and in love. There are a few bumps in the road. Secrets that come out. This causes a little drama but overall it was a pretty easy peasy read. There is also no OW or OM drama.

~IN THE END~
I enjoyed it A LOT. Certainly much more than I expected to given my dislike for Molly. You can chalk that up to this author's fantastic ability to weave a good story. Great writing. A great plot. Intriguing and well developed characters. It was the whole package. Therefore yours truly is going to give this one two HUGE thumbs up and I REALLY hope that we will be seeing more of these characters in additions books.description

Hit Girl, by Tia Louise, is the story of love, revenge, and rebirth for Molly Dixon. We first met Molly as a little thirteen year old girl in The Bright Lights Duet. You can definitely read Hit Girl as a stand alone. But if you want the story from the beginning, Molly’s back story and the story of the woman who saved her, Lara, I highly recommend the duet. It’s a story you’ll never forget. Now for Molly’s turn.

As a little girl, Molly suffered abandonment, fear, and pain in the worst possible way. Now, as a woman, she is smart and strong, and she is angry. She wants the men who hurt her to pay. One by one the names are crossed off the list. But it’s never enough. When an important person from Molly’s past comes back into her life, she realizes that there might be one more man’s name that needs to be added to the list.

long gold chain necklace

One year ago when Molly and Lara were in Seattle, she met Joshua Andrews. Molly never thought she could trust any man. But Josh appealed to her in a way no man ever had. One night in his bed became two and she never could make herself leave him. He had become the only light in her darkness. When they were together, she felt like she was home. Joshua doesn’t know about Molly’s past, though. He doesn’t know what she has done, what she has to do. He could never understand. So she’s determined to keep that part of her life away from him. Together they are finding other ways to help girls like herself. But she knows that she has to continue what she started, she has to make them all pay.

“He’s home. A home I don’t deserve.”

sweetness

When Molly and Joshua travel back to New Orleans, back to where it all started, old wounds that never really healed are reopened. Along with that new name on her list comes a new danger. A danger that could end everything. Is this the end? Or could it be a new beginning?

“I’m torn and bleeding inside. The butterflies are all crushed, their wings broken. Just like me.”

hit girl tia louise

Oh my gosh! To tell the truth, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Molly from the earlier books. She was so cold. I felt she didn’t appreciate all that Lara and Mark did for her. But I wanted to give her a chance to win me over in her own book and she did. She was a different person with Joshua. She cared for him, loved him so much. But there was still that darkness inside of her, that part of her that even Josh could never heal. She was so broken.

little pink revolver

This book kept me at the edge of my seat building up to an intense ending that had my heart pounding and turning the pages as fast as I could. Tia topped it all off with a perfect epilogue that helped me to walk away with a smile and a sigh. Tia Louise is such a talented story teller. She creates these characters that are so complex and steal our hearts at the same time. Molly Dixon is definitely such a character.

Molly lived a rough life growing up in New Orleans and abandoned by her mother. Raised in a sex club and abused by disgusting predators, she’s with a man now who wants nothing more than to take care of her. But Molly has a secret. She’s out for revenge and she hasn’t forgotten the men that have hurt her or prey on the innocent.

“Like Batman or Black Widow, sometimes it takes a private citizen to do what the authorities can’t accomplish…

And usually those private citizens have a reason.

A fucking good reason.

Just like me.”

I have not read any books about the other characters in this series but Molly and Joshua...I kinda love you! What's not to like about a kickass girl getting revenge on the men who abused her in life? I saw her as an avenging angel who protected the innocent girls. Joshua just wanted to feel like Molly was as invested in their relationship as he was. The ups and downs with Molly's secrets and her friends that care about her was definitely a touchy point in the story. As much as I was cheering Molly on in her vigilante justice, I also wanted her to have that intimate connection with her "family". The suspense and twists were great and I am intrigued about the background that brought Molly to this point. I think I need to be adding some books to my reading list because Lara's story is calling to me.

When I read a good revenge story, it always puts me in a good mood. We all want a little justice in our life and unfortunately, we aren’t allowed to run around like Molly. But…it’s always nice to live through Molly’s actions and take out the bad guys.

WOW! Tia Louise has delivered an intensely amazing book with Hit Girl.  I am a big fan of a strong heroine and Molly was that and so much more. This I believe is a spin-off from The Bright Lights duet but since I have not read those yet (but plan on going back asap) I read Hit GIrl as a complete standalone.

There was so much to love in this book. Tia Louise is a fantastic author and that shines through in the story. IT was incredibly well plotted, the characters had so many levels to them, and the pace of the story made it impossible to stop reading.  I loved Joshua. He was sexy and kind. It was impossible to dislike anything about him.

Overall, this was an excellent book that was equal parts sexy and exciting. Grab your copy now!

Hit Girl is the third book in the Bright Lights series by Tia Louise. It can be read as a complete standalone though, so don't let that deter you if you haven't read the previous installments. This is my first time trying this author's work, and it didn't hinder my enjoyment of the story at all. That being said, I do think I would have loved it even more if I read the first two, so if they interest you, you should definitely give them a try.

Molly Dixon a.k.a. Hit Girl is a young woman previously orphaned on the streets of New Orleans. During that time, she was drugged and gang raped by several men. In order to heal, she's made it her mission to get revenge and make men like her attackers pay the ultimate price for their sins.

Now, she's living in Seattle and in a relationship with Joshua Andrews, a wonderful man that's using his wealth to help young girls escape the same fate as Molly. Everything is going great until he discovers what she's been doing to cope with her traumatic past. Will she be able to let go of her need for vengeance or lose the only man she's ever loved?

Hit Girl is sexy, emotional, and full of suspense.   Molly is a strong heroine that fights back against all the shit life throws at her, and Joshua is the kind of caring, supportive, and understanding man she needs in her corner. I loved the two of them together. Their connection felt strong from the very beginning and continued to strengthen as the story progressed. Her relationship with Stas was also a highlight for me. I adored the way all the characters became a unconventional family in the end.

I know I'll be reading more of Tia's work in the future, and I suggest that you do, too. I recommend Hit Girl to fans of badass heroines and romantic suspense!

I am so pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this book. I was along for this thrilling ride from the start. I don’t care much for murder mysteries but this isn’t like that at all. This is all about revenge on sick perverted individuals and yes, this is about that captivating love that changes your entire soul.

Molly is a orphaned girl from New Orleans that has lived nightmare after nightmare before escaping it and finding a way to fight her demons and get her revenge. Along the way she meets Joshua in Seattle and he makes her see that indeed a tortured soul can love again. However Joshua doesn’t know Molly’s whole story or to the degree she goes to, to seek her revenge.

When things come to light and secrets are found and revealed, Joshua tells Molly things have to change and he will help her if she’ll accept his help. There’s no way Molly is giving up until she’s done so she walks away from Joshua without a second look back. However once walking away from each other, brings awareness to both Joshua and Molly, showing them after a year together they do really love each other BUT can they overcome their differences and forgive each other for all their pasts indifferences before it’s too late?

This story was so well written. It was fast paced, full of action, lots of passion, and totally captivating. This can be read as a stand-alone book. With saying that, I am hoping that this author expands on some of the characters and definitely the same ones. This is a book I recommend to you if you love it action packed, a little dark, and a lot of love :-)))

Totally Bad Ass

Omg this book is just brilliant. I 've been looking forward to Molly's book since the end of Bright Lights Duet. (Its a great duet) Molly is a total bad ass. She has been through a lot goin up and she never really thought she belonged anywhere. She had Lara and luvd her so much but she never knew who her mum was. She had been under Lara's care and has moved around over the years but she was never satisfied. The things that has happened to will alway be in her mind. She needed these men to pay for what they did to her and the people she is close to. Plus all the girls that have gone through the same thing. Molly mite be on a revenge mission but she never hurt anyone that didn't deserve it. Over the years she has grown to be such a strong woman and has gotten over some really hard time and with the help of some amazing people she has grown to be a super woman.

Joshua is a brilliant guy I really really like him. He is just the guy that Molly needs. He's strong sexy caring and protective. It's everything Molly needs. It took him a while to get where they are but they both need each other. They complete each other. Yes it's sounds cheesy but these are so good together. There are to many secrets in both sides that need to told. But over the year of them being together and getting closer. There relationship has reached a stage where love is involed which does scare both of them. Cause the secrets are big and it could destroy what they have.

This story is just amazing. I m HUGE fan of this author. I 've been reading her books for the very start and I can say her books and writing just seem to get better and better. I luvd that this book has the heroine Molly the stronger character. Don't get me wrong Joshua is a strong guy but the things that Molly has gone through has made her how she is. She mite not alway do the right thing and doesn't alway put herself first. But I luv her and understand why she does what she does. I just really enjoyed this book and I would highly recommend this book.

Tia Louise delivers a thrilling ride with Hit Girl, following Molly Dixon as she works her way down her list of names. Each name she writes on that piece of paper is someone who deserves to be punished for their crimes - and she's just the girl to make sure they get what they deserve.

This book had me captivated from the first scene and from there I was obsessed with finding out what Molly was going to do. She was living this double life that her boyfriend had no clue about so I was on edge the whole time waiting for her secrets to catch up to her. I loved getting to see her navigate her life full of secrets and it made for a very intriguing story.

Joshua was more a background character, at least in my opinion, but I didn't mind. Even though the main focus was on Molly there were still some amazing scenes she and Joshua shared. I loved that he was so understanding when it came to her hidden past and he never pushed her for more than she was willing to give. Even without being focused on too much Joshua definitely stole my heart.

Overall, this is a book I would recommend for anyone that likes a badass heroine. It is connected to the Bright Lights duet but could be read as a standalone as long as you don't mind slight spoilers.

Molly had dedicated her life to fixing all of the wrongs that our judicial system couldn’t right. Born out of the pain and devastation she suffered as a youth, her mission was honorable and true in her eyes. Seriously, although I’m a legal professional and I have sworn to uphold the law, there are times when I can totally understand the necessity of vigilantism. But don’t tell anyone ;)

Molly was an incredibly strong female lead who was dealing with her fair share of demons. Thankfully, she had a huge burst of light enter her life in the form of Joshua. Gosh, can we all take a moment and bask in the greatness of this character? He wasn’t a stranger to pain, but he was determined to help those who needed him most. And he was determined to build upon that life with Molly. So what happens when Molly can’t let go of her past in order to have a future with sweet Joshua?

This was a fantastic tale full of suspense and drama. There were some parts where I felt that it would have been beneficial to have read Lara and Mark’s story first, simply because it seemed that that was where this story truly began. However, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of this one and I didn’t feel lost. The characters already shared an amazing connection from the get-go and the author did an amazing job of building on that. I think one of my favorite things about this story, aside from my deep and abiding love for Joshua, was the fact that the ending was left open, giving me hope that these characters will be making another appearance *fingers crossed*

4 Revenge and Change Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free-It's Live!!!
They say revenge is best served cold...But Tia Louise's Hit Girl is Hot! She has created a Stand Alone which has crossover from the Bright Lights Duet.

Our main character, Molly Dixon, has a list...

And no, it is not like Santa Claus.... Because there are no nice...Only very, very disgusting, icky men on it. All justifiable to meet their most timely death. She is avenging her pain as a child and somehow she is the only one who can make them pay.

Tia takes a love story and the arc of understanding of how much you can love...and combines it with the intensity of a thriller action story, too. Tia Louise has a strong sense of how to do all of this, so if you like a Badass woman, a sweet man who loves her no matter what and a story line which can cover some very intense themes... then it is right up your alley.

~~~~~ Before Reading ~~~~~
What, What....
A Revenge Story...
A Woman with a List....
Badass enough to follow it through...
Then there is the guy...
The one who is there for her...
Willing to support her through it all....
★ 3.5 stars!!! ★
Primeiro de tudo: eu não tinha conhecimento de que os personagens principais aqui faziam parte dos livros “The Bright Lights Duet”. Não que eu tenha me arrependido de ler esse livro, no entanto se soubesse, teria esperado até concluir a leitura dos anteriores. Creio que assim eu entenderia um pouco mais a personagem e seu background e não ficaria tão perdida a princípio.
Bom, voltando a história em questão. Temas como esse aqui, envolvendo vingança sempre me chamam a atenção e despertam minha curiosidade.
Eu gostei bastante da Molly... personagem durona, forte mas ao mesmo tempo mostrou uma vulnerabilidade que a deixou mais “humana”. A personalidade dela não ficou forçada, pelo menos pra mim, não ultrapassou os limites do aceitável. Por mais que tenha plena consciência de que não é o “certo”, não posso mentir e dizer que não torci por ela ao acompanhar sua missão por vingança e justiça contra todos os que lhe causaram mal. Torci e não foi pouco, rs.
Outro personagem da qual eu gostei muito, de verdade, foi o Joshua. Paciente, carinhoso... sua personalidade é cativante. O tipo de mocinho que é impossível não suspirar e se apaixonar!
Embora o fato de ambos guardarem seus segredos e rolar uma tensão em torno disso, ver os dois juntos trouxe uma certa suavidade para o enredo. Apesar de sentir falta de um pouco mais de profundidade na forma como o romance foi escrito aqui (sei que estou sendo repetitiva em citar isso em mais uma resenha, mas é o que ando sentindo falta na maioria dos livro que li ultimamente).
A narrativa da autora foi bem gostosa e a leitura seguiu com fluidez do início ao fim.
No entanto, achei o final corrido em comparação ao ritmo que a trama prosseguiu até esse ponto. Alguns fatores ganharam um desfecho de forma resumida e sem muita elaboração.
E um elemento em questão não me agradou muito porque achei um tanto quanto previsível e conveniente para que a trama e ações ganhassem um rumo diferente.
Hit Girl no geral, foi uma boa leitura e até me deixou com uma pontinha de curiosidade em ler a história da Lara&Mark.
Mas, como citei logo no início, pelo fato de não ter lido o duo antes, fiquei com aquela sensação de estar faltando alguma peça nesse quebra-cabeça e creio que isso teve uma grande influência na minha avaliação.
Hit Girl was the very first book I've read from Tia Louise. While it's a spinoff from her Bright Lights duet, it can and was read as a complete standalone. I was immediately swept up in this dark and sordid world of revenge and violence through the hypnotic writing style of this author. Hit Girl is both grim and romantic, a story of finding the light after years of fighting in the dark, and it kept me turning the pages eagerly to see where this story would go.
I was truly captivated by the character of Molly. She is fierce and she's thirsty for revenge. Her life has been tragic; her need to destroy those that destroyed her demands that she keep Joshua at arms length. But Joshua is the light in this dark story. His love for Molly is so beautiful, so heartwarming. His sweet affection for her is a stark contrast to the grim despair that envelopes this story. But of course, when the secrets that Molly tries so hard to keep far from Joshua are revealed, things get complicated fast.
Molly's secrets kept me riveted. Joshua's devotion held me ensnared. I was swept away by this story and I really liked it a lot. It was different. I needed to change things up and Hit Girl is decidedly different from anything I've read lately. It's suspenseful and thrilling while still remaining sweet and romantic. While the pacing in this book started to feel a bit rushed toward the end of the story, it still gripped me from beginning to end. Hit Girl was a hit in my book and I look forward to reading more from this author.
I loved everything about Hit Girl from Tia Louise! It grabbed me right from the first page and didn’t let go until the end. It was such a great mix of everything I love in romances - suspenseful, thrilling, sweet and HOT! Molly is badass, Josh is swoonworthy, and together they are AMAZING!
“I’m your dirty girl.”
“You’re always my girl.”
Revenge. Vengeance. Payment. Retribution.
When is enough ever enough!?! For Molly, it never will be. She may make you believe she’s forgotten, but it’s engrained in her very being, her sole purpose of living and she will not stop until they pay... every single threat she happens to come across. Her saving grace, here peace of normal, her place of safety, is in the arms of Joshua. He’s all man with a heart of gold, sweet and caring, willing to do anything and everything for his mysterious badass girl. He doesn’t know what secrets lie behind those eyes but he promises to keep her safe as long as it’s his bed and his arms she continues to find safety and comfort in.
Hit Girl was an emotional dark tale, that was filled with rage, hurt and love. Molly is f’d up and broken, and she is taken to hell and back and brought back to life by the love of Joshua. It’s rare to find a man who can be unbelievably sweet but an alpha at the same time. In a way we’ve grew up with Molly so to her come full circle from the star eyed girl to the girl behind the rage, to the woman in love. Tragic circumstances that lead to a happy ending, what more can you ask for.
4.5 BRIGHTER FUTURE CROWNS
From the moment I finished the Under the Lights duet, I was hoping and praying for Molly’s story. Just like her, I need to see her her justice, whether that was through legal means or vigilante revenge. It just needed to happen, and Tia Louise delivered one wild ride of hate and vengeance as well as love and rebirth. I couldn’t have been happier with her journey.
Molly Dixon is my type of heroine. She is strong and resourceful, smart as a whip, and, although she tries to hide it, a heart that is big and filled with love. Molly’s story is a hard one, though, and while some readers might not like what happens to her, it is unfortunately a story that is real. Her fallout from it is sad and brews anger, making readers understand her need to make them pay , but it also makes them want a different life for her. Readers want her to be able to move on and find peace and love, and this is her journey, her evolution to become more than a victim. Her development as a character shows how much we need love and family and that true joy comes from being able to shed the past to live a joyful life filled with promise and love.
Joshua is a secondary character in this story, and if we are using romance labels, then the hero. But this is an inept name, because Molly saves herself. He along with someone else (who will remain a mystery until you read it) are the impetuses that make her reflect and evaluate the life she leads. They are the cause of her change and her choice to step out of the darkness. Josh, though, is an incredibly worthy hero for Molly. With him, readers see the struggle of loving someone who is legally doing something wrong but understanding their reason for doing it. Readers see that the world isn’t black and white but shades of grey, especially when it comes to justice and matters of the heart.
Hit Girl starts out with a bang, and Tia Louise immediately throws readers into the revenge plot. They see how vengeance has wrapped itself around Molly, but she also shows how love is battling to win. She juxtaposes her violence with her feelings for Josh, showing the internal fight going on inside of her head. While there is suspense that will have to readers biting their nails, this is a story about love, about healing, and finding a way out of the darkness and into the promise of a better future. Readers will be absolutely thrilled with where she leaves Molly and Josh.
Hit Girl is absolutely everything I ever could have asked for in Molly’s story. Tia Louise intertwines revenge and love and suspense and romance to give is another story I just couldn’t put down!
***note***
This book can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. The Under the Lights duet features Molly and the other characters we see in HG, but this is her story and her HEA. However, I will say that my love of this book and her journey is amplified by the fact that I did read the duet. Tia Louise gives you all the info you need to enjoy Molly’s story, but I was already emotionally invested in her character and her journey before I even read the first page.
I’m in AWE! This thrilling read kept me on my toes from beginning to end! I’m still trying to figure out exactly how to classify Hit Girl, but I can tell you one thing with definite certainty... it was ENTERTAINING!
Molly’s past haunts her so she’s perfected the art off shutting out those who love her. Whike Joshua is concerned with her past and the lingering affects it has on her, he’s more concerned with their future. Let me stop her to say a couple important things. First and foremost, Joshua is PERFECT! He’s the perfect combination of caring and compassionate and understanding, but on the flip side he’s a total alpha who will go to any lengths necessary to protect his woman. These two together - #RelationshipGoals
The story is emotional, exciting, and completely engaging. As Molly continues on her course of revenge, we find what set her on this course and ultimately, the one thing that will cause her to let it go. I loved it! High marks for originality and an exciting plot. Highly recommended!
I absolutely loved the Bright Lights duet and novella so when I finally got my hands on Hit Girl I was giddy with excitement. Molly has had a life made up of nightmares. Learning to deal with it hasn’t been an easy road. When she is gifted with the knowledge on how to handle the pain and suffering she takes it to the next level. And there she finds a release from the torment and a journey that sets her in the direct path of Joshua.
Joshua was introduced to us the second book of the duet. Now he’s got Molly in his life and he’s determined to be in a condition to protect her from this moment on. Still in the dark about her past, he knows he must take things slow or risk losing her forever. He could have never forseen the dark secrets not only in her past but in her present.
I didn’t get enough of this couple! When this book ended I wanted to immediately reread it. This couple were just so perfect for each other. Never could Molly have found another man who could be so patient and kind all while knowing she was hiding something from him. Joshua recognized the pain in her eyes and wanted nothing more than to chase the shadows away. He was a fierce protector even as he had to allow her to do things her own way and in her own time. I adored him for that!
This is such a well written story that was fast paced, dark, full of action, drama and plenty of steam. We once again meet with the characters from the original books as well as a few new ones. I’m hoping this author is going to continue this series (can a duet be a series?) with more regarding these new characters.
This was a fantastic read and one that should not be missed. Although you could read this one as a standalone, you would probably do better to read the duet and novella first but you’ll be glad you did. This is a series of sensational books that will remain in your mind long after you’ve finished the last page.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I loved it!!
I cried- I don't cry.
Josh and Molly’s story brought tears to my eyes. It is sweet and heartwarming. Their connection and chemistry kept the pages streamy and intriguing.
Two lost souls with secrets, one could destroy them the other heal them. When the past comes back, Molly is willing to risk it all even Josh to fulfill her childhood mission. Josh’s won't give up without a fight—but is it too late.
Lives will be permanently changed when lies, secrets, and revenge are revealed.
Love, understanding, and forgiveness are they too much to expect?
Hit Girl by Tia Louise is full of emotional moments—heartbreaking and heartwarming.
With Hit Girl, Tia Louise gives her readers one intense, suspense-filled romance. Molly Dixon is a badass set on a mission of revenge. A self-proclaimed vigilante, struggling to survive a horrific trauma from her childhood, she copes by taking matters into her own hands by dishing out justice. Joshua's a sweet and gentle hero striving to become closer to the distant woman who captured his heart to save her and their relationship. Together, this couple set me on a wild and angst-filled ride.
Hit Girl was my first read in this series, and though considered a stand-alone, there were characters and situations that I was unfamiliar with while making my way through this story. Perhaps reading previous installments would have been beneficial for me to fully connect with these characters and understand the dynamics of their relationships. Regardless, I found myself captivated by this fast paced, action packed plot that was brimming with so many nail-biting twists and turns.
Secrets, lies, mysteries and fiery passion, this was an enjoyable read for me. Louise delivered a thrilling romance filled with emotions that pulled at my heartstrings. I'm looking forward to diving into the previous books in this series, as well as the next installment.
Molly, if you remember,was Laura's friend/sister/protégè sorta in New Orleans theatre in Bright Lights dries. When they have to abandon ship and run away to Paris, to save themselves, that's where THIS story starts.
Molly has been troubled by the nightmares from Gavin,the theatre owner, and his paedohilic brother Guy
She finds a nice, caring companion in Joshua. He really loves her so worried, naturally, asks her to slow down on her missions. Molly is so driven, she rather leaves Joshua.
The angst is there, but I'd have loved to see Joshua as an equal character.
Molly is superhuman driven in her quest for justice,like only abused girls can
A very thought out and intense story
Omg, this took ages to get through, but that’s cos I had to go back and read the Under The Lights duet, so that I could actually feel a connection to the storyline and understand the who’s who of all the characters. Some smarter readers had no probs jumping in to this as a standalone, but I’m a slower kinda gal and was desperate to be shown, not told.
Dual POV, with HEA. Loved the premise and storyline but found myself skimming and distracted during the non-romance/relationship dialogue.
5 Stars does not do Molly and Joshua justice at all!!! Especially since I have a girl crush on Molly, she is such a badass and I love it. We need more books with strong lead females who has had enough of being beat down and taken advantage of and has taken a stand and says no more!!!! You going to mess with me we’ll go ahead then I’ll make sure you will regret it. And Tia has brought us such a superhero in Molly a woman who takes names and kicks a$$. You will find yourself cheering right along for her and hoping she wins even though what she’s doing is morally wrong. Then there’s Joshua, sweet, sweet Joshua whom I just want to just cuddle and love on him. He’s like the perfect man and counterpart to Molly. He loves her to no end and she actually feels safe with him which is unusual. He wants her to open up to him but yet they each hold stuff back from each other. But when it all comes to a head and things blow up and the dust settles will there be a Molly and Joshua to work through all the problems? I guess you will find out when you read this book. It can be read as a stand alone. But you will hear of characters from Under the Lights and Under the Stars in this book so it’s totally up to you on whether you want to read them first or not considering they did come before Hit Girl. And I highly highly recommend all 3 books!!!!
Sexy. Provocative. And a major hit. Tia Louise has written one of the most thrilling, intense, and entertaining reads of 2018. Hit Girl might be one of one favorite reads that Tia Louise has written so far. This book was action packed on revenge, romance, and second chances. It took vigilante romance to a whole new heights as she had me totally smitten with the heroine and hero. So if you are looking for a story that was explosive, engaging and sexy then Hit Girl is the book for you.
Hit Girl is Molly’s story. We all remember her from The Bright Light Duet and we know her story. But what we didn’t know is what happened when she stayed in Seattle with Joshua. And now we know.
Molly as a list, a list of the bad men that should be off the streets. She’s avenging her pain as a child, she thinking killing these men will ease the pain but it doesn’t not really.
Joshua was you remember is the guy she started to see. In this book is finds out the truth about the girl who stole his heart. When he gives her an ultimatum she does what any girl in her shoes would do..she leaves. But he doesn’t give up on her. I felt like Joshua was a bit of a secondary character but I didn’t mind. It gave us a look at how someone else other then Lara saw Molly. We get to see the struggle of if he can deal with what she does or can’t he.
Overall this was book was freaking amazing. It’s action packed, thrilling, and it’s definitely a page turner. I highly recommend it.
