I was excited to see this book come out as the premise promised to be very interesting, namely nordic (and Icelandic) cuisine. I was very pleased to see a creative use of traditional ingredients visualized in this stunning way, the book is really a feast for the eye. Until now I've used recipes from the book on two occasions and in both instances the results did not disappoint. the night-salted fish was superbly delicious (I've got a long standing problematic relationship with cured or salted fish products), and the clear instructions and simplicity of the preparation required was very much a plus. I will continue to explore this book and hope that the author will continue to inspire future cooking endeavors.

This is a very appealing cookbook. I haven't tried any of the recipes in it yet but more than a few look quite fine. Having visited Norway not long ago I'm especially interested in the food they have there. I was on a cruise and we had great food aboard the Hurtigruten line, including lots of fish. The photographs are exquisite and the recipes clearly written and easy to follow, that is if you have access to all the ingredients such as reindeer, crowberries, or auk eggs, but most of the recipes have familiar ingredients.
