A small story about Martine that goes babysitting on 3 kids. Although I had to hear this story in French which I am not that good at, I could follow the story in big lines. It is just a simple story with kids things. Not much happened.

This book is in the 1001 Children's Books You Must Read Before You Grow Up challenge I am doing.

Да наглеждаш подобни дечурлига съвсем не е лесно начинание и Марти се изправя пред голямо предизвикателство. Every year I start by reading children's book, remembering the happiness I felt when I read my Children stories, and now missing my two Granddaughters... Martine's stories are wonderful, as they help build, in the reader, a whole universe of beauty and harmony, creating a very special atmosphere.

I totally recommend these children's books to establish peace and beauty in one's mind, in the midst of these times of trouble!

This one's definitely my favorite Martine book. Just look at the pictures... They are incredible. Can't wait to read this book to my own kids.

1001 cbymrbygu list has "Martine à la ferme", the first in the series, on the book list. However, it's a bit hard to get hold of in Australia, so I was happy to find this one in French at the local Brighton library (2012).

In the English versions of the books the little girl is given the name of Debbie.
"Debbie's Dream" & "Debbie's visit to the countryside" are both available via OpenLibrary.
