There was so much to think about while reading this book. It was humorous, but as the author shared her screw-ups, I was forced to see myself in the stories.

A little slow at parts but Whitney ties everything into a nice bow at the end. A little self help-ish which I wasn't expecting but it was done in a good way. Would highly recommend the audio book because Whitney narriates it herself. I don't think my experience with this book would be the same if I didn't listen to the audio book!

I listen to comedy authors audiobooks to make me laugh and Whitney Cummings certainly did. However, she also made me think and ponder and relate to her story. From one former hot mess to another thank you! I am still trying my best to be less of a hot mess and I will never stop trying. Your book was inspirational.

Listened to this on my runs. I identified so much with a lot of things Cummings said, and she has clearly done a lot of work to understand herself, her mind and be happier. That being said, it was little hard at times not to feel a bit weird listening to a successful, pretty, white lady who (according to her) has everything under the sun wrong with her. To be fair, I never felt she was soliciting pity from the audience, it just was slightly akward.

2 stars because this woman has a great career based on idk what. Others knocked off because I couldn’t finish it. Too shallow. She’s not interesting enough for me to care about her life. Was gifted from an enemy

Heard it on scribd, and enjoyed the story as if I was whitney’s friend and she was telling me her stories. Just like 2 strangers meeting up.

Pretty good overall. It could have used more editing at points because there were repetitive and rambling parts (especially the pit bull chapter), but generally an interesting quick read.

A funny book. Almost a self help book about accepting who you are, but not necessarily how to fix yourself. Nice explanation on what a codependent is.

couldn't finish reading it. Absolutely no substance just a lot of rambling about how important Whitney is.

It was a strange format.
I found the language unnecessary to put her point across. It was distasteful for me work through the language to get to the points that mattered.

Recomiendo leer este libro un par de veces al año, sin duda. Y por supuesto, hago el test de Freud siempre que conozco a alguien nuevo 😬
