Caitlyn O’Leary is a USA Bestselling Author, #1 Amazon Bestselling Author and a Golden Quill Recipient from Book Viral in 2015. Hampered with a mild form of dyslexia she began memorizing books at an early age until her grandmother, the English teacher, took the time to teach her to read -- then she never stopped. She began re-writing alternate endings for her Trixie Belden books into happily-ever-afters with Trixie's platonic friend Jim. When she was home with pneumonia at twelve, she read the entire set of World Book Encyclopedias -- a little more challenging to end those happily.
Caitlyn loves writing about Alpha males with strong heroines who keep the men on their toes. There is plenty of action, suspense and humor in her books. She is never shy about tackling some of today’s tough and relevant issues.
In addition to being an award-winning author of romantic suspense novels, she is a devoted aunt, an avid reader, a former corporate executive for a Fortune 100 company, and totally in love with her husband of soon-to-be twenty years.

She loves hearing and connecting with her fans on a daily basis.
I absolutely loved this book. Drake Avery is always been my favorite out of this series. I figured it was about time for him to get he's happily ever after. Just when you think it's all gonna work out boom the crap hits the fan. Karen has her man her baby boy is healthy and life is returning to normal. Or is it? With Karen trying to plan a wedding, raise a newborn, and moving she just doesn't have the strength to keep up but she has to be strong. When the wedding day finally arrives everything goes off perfect except for the helicopters trying to kill everybody. Omg I loved this book it's so good. I absolutely love the seal teams I love how they are more than just co-workers their a family and no one and I mean no one messes with family.
Drake with his little boy swoonworthy. Just absolute swoon. You become a little warm fuzzy fuzzball of joy when you read how he is with the little guy.
In this book, Drake and Karen go through alot to get the big day off. A little one is born and in the process Drake gets a scare. One that makes him more alpha protective (never thought that could happen but hey he becomes more alpha and I mean more). Only his SEAL team needs him as well. Karen convinces him to go and she overdoes it while he is away. Why? She is stubborn and doesn’t ask for help. She feels she needs to prove she is worthy of Drake’s alpha ways. Even though Drake has always let her know she is perfect as is she does go all gaga and in superwoman mode and ends up down.
Drake on his mission was in a dangerous situation and it was a sad one as well that had a nice resolution but also placed him and his team in further danger for the future I believe. So he gets back and whammo he is now in super alpha control mode. He takes over a wedding and it is a hoot what he does. Good thing he has sisters and they do a plan b also they stage a intervention. The best intervention is for him and piper, his talk with her has you go awwww.....This is a great guy. So loving and caring but super alpha and protective.
Wedding comes and it is adorable until....it isn’t. Here we see the men in action and the ladies show us how great they are as well.
These two go through so much in this book that seeing them get an HEA was awesome. Their friends and family are great as well. Favorite scene with family: Karen’s brothers first meeting Drake. That was so entertaining and Asher with his quips into the situation classic.
The story is well written, face paced and keeps you on your toes. YOu see the love that Drake has for Karen and his son. You see how much love Karne has for him and what she will do to show she belongs. Drake shows us his super alpha side but also his teddy bear side. His team is great and helps chip in to give Karen all she wants as well. Just a great all around story with danger, intrigue, love, family and friends.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review., beautiful incredible extraordinary,, full emotional package in Cathryn O’Leary style, a great mix I loved so much, Can I have more? Thank you for this Drake for this team for all the situations, you rocked it!!
Her Treasured Seal is an emotional rollercoaster ride as only Caitlyn O'Leary can write it. This book has two of my favorite characters whom we met in Dominant Seal Drake and Karen. Drake is pure alpha male and Karen is the kick ass independent woman he falls for. This book picks up where Dominant Seal. A new baby about to be born, a wedding to plans and just life in general are quaranteed to make chaos out of any life and doubly hard for someone who must have control Drake is in for the ride of his life. Drake has always taken care of the women in his life. He is fiercely loyal, protective, and bossy to a fault but loves with all of his heart. You will cry, laugh, sigh and fall more madly in love with these characters. As always the character development is perfection and the depth of love these two feel for each other is inherent in every word and action they take. I started this book with a box of Kleenex as these two struggled to make a family together. O'Leary always has a quick sarcastic wit that keeps you coming back for more. I could not put this book down and Drake and Karen have become my two favorite characters and I hope we will see more of them in other books as their relationship matures. Brilliant book Caitlyn thank you.
Author Caitlyn O’Leary brings it home again with this Midnight Delta Book. You would think that with all Drake and Karen have gone through already, that their lives would have at least a small break. But no, between complications with the pregnancy (twice) Wedding Arrangement Issues and the overall closed in feelings they both are dealing with, well who ever said life was gonna be easy!?! Loving a SEAL is a full time job, Karen has her hands full not only with Drake being on leave, but everything is going wrong with her wedding arrangements. With weeks to go before their wedding things just seem to fall apart. Author Caitlyn O’Leary draws you into her stories and leaves you begging for more. The characters are all so intense that you want to know so much more about each and everyone of them. Grab your copy and follow along as Karen’s Dream Wedding turns into the Wedding that only Hell could have planned! Well Done🌺
Drake and Karen are my favorite couple so far in this series. Engaged and planning their wedding and giving birth to their son has Karen at her wits end, but she is keeping this from Drake. He goes back to work with his team and trouble seems to follow him home. Will they ever get married or will the evil forces gunning for them put a halt to all their plans for a happily ever after?
The characters are so real and so well written that the reader is pulled into the story right away. Caitlyn knows just how to hook her readers. Well written, it was easy to follow along and there is still lots of drama and intrigue. Loved the book and can't wait for more from Caitlyn O'Leary.
Drake and Karen found their HEA in an earlier book (see Her Dominant SEAL), and have recently welcomed a son into the family, a symbol of their love for one another.
Now that their son is born, and the danger to Karen has passed and she survived, Drake knows he must return to his SEAL team, but it's hard after being home with Karen, and then their son, for months, especially after coming so close to losing what he loves most.
While Drake is back at work, Karen is home trying to juggle planning for their wedding and raising their newborn son. She's determined to do it all though, without help, and that means working herself into exhaustion.
As Drake and Karen try to handle all the details, while being new parents and Drake's return to work, danger arises as enemies have turned their focus to Drake's team. Now, the entire group must ensure their safety of their families, and take down the bad guy. Plus, make sure they're home in time for the wedding.
Will everything work out? Will the good guys win? Will the wedding happen? Will Karen realize she can't do everything by herself and that there's nothing wrong with that?
One-click now and follow along as we see the next step on Drake and Karen's journey as they plan their wedding and start parenthood.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Drake and Karen are back!! Drake has not gone on a mission in several months choosing to stay at his “wife’s” side after complications with her pregnancy and delivery. He goes into protective SEAL mode after almost losing Karen and it’s suffocating her but she understands. When the guys get called out on a mission Drake is hesitant to leave Karen, but she insists that he goes.
Karen is overwhelmed at home, with planning the wedding and taking care of their son. Her son becomes sick, the caterers canceled on her and the band broke up adding to her stress. She is determined to do everything by herself and not ask for help. But when she runs herself to exhaustion and Drake steps in and takes over. He becomes a little over-bearing and the Avery Avalanche has to step in reign him in.
Drake and his Midnight Delta team are being stalked by powerful enemies. Will the wedding go off without any interruptions or will they start their lives as husband and wife with bloodshed?
I can’t wait for the next installment in the Midnight Delta series!!! Ms. O’Leary is quickly becoming my go to author when it comes to military romance.
** I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review **
Karen and Drake are Awesome! I have loved Drake for a long time as we have seen him as a brother and a seal and now a dad and husband he just really hits all the right notes. The relationship between Karen and Drake is a hoot and completely entertaining! It really is a great story! As so many of the old characters make a visit in this book I have decided to go back and reread other Midnight Deltas a second time they were so good as well so BRAVO Caitlyn another great book! Write On. Davia.
I Love all of the SEALS in this series but " Her Treasured SEAL " Tops them all so far. Drake and Karen's story was so amazing; full of Drama, love and laughter. It will make you laugh and cry. If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I would. It is an absolute MUST READ. I read an Advance copy without any expectation of a review.
Absolutely loved this book! Getting to revisit Drake and Karen was awesome! And finally after all of their hardships they get their happily ever after! Can't wait for more in this amazing new series.
Her Treasured SEAL is the 11 th book in Caitlyn O’Leary’s Midnight Delta’s. This is Drake and Karen’s story, who we met in Her Dominant SEAL. Drake and Karen are dealing with quite a bit. Karen has delivered a healthy baby boy after a a life threatening birth. Every one of Drake’s protective instincts kick in. He was so shaken by the almost loosing Karen, that he’ taken family leave from his team, brought his sisters and Karen’s mom in to take care of her. Karen, in the meantime, while trying to regain her strength, is in the middle of trying to plan their wedding. Things keep going wrong with the plans, but she refuses to ask for help because she’s used to handling things on her own. Drake’s team is called away on a mission that he initially refuses to go on, but Karen finally persuades him to join his team. While gone, Karen becomes more bogged down with wedding plans, and pushes herself too far. Meanwhile Drake’s team is dealing with a more complicated situation than bargained for, and the mission drags on longer than anticipated. Karen ends up back in the hospital, and Drake is frantic to get back to her and the baby. As usual, Caitlyn’s books, are so satisfying. There are laughs, tears, plenty of action and suspense, but at the core, there’s a beautiful love story.
It was nice to see the old characters again. However, she turned Karen into an insecure idiot. Then it was one bad thing after another. The end scenario was far-fetched and the resolution to that was vaguely unsatisfactory. It only gets three stars because I liked seeing the characters from the other books again so much.
Her Treasured SEAL Midnight Delta Book 11 by Caitlyn O'Leary ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Give your self a standing ovation Caitlyn O'Leary because you can rest assure this book is well worth it. The connection between Karen and Drake is so lovable but there’s a reason that it satisfies my need for romance. The building of their romantic relationship actually didn’t happen overnight and I always enjoy how Caitlyn make you laugh through out the entire book. If you are like myself who is pleased that there's the panty and pants dropping sexy scenes like only Caitlyn O'Leary can write. Thanks! I really enjoyed the pace and tone of this book. I also find that Caitlyn writing style is very comical and light-hearted. I knew that Drake and Karen story was going to be a great love-filled book but believe me, there’s plenty of tension but of course there would be if you tried to do somethings that Karen wanted to do but Karen is like most of us after giving birth we all think that we have to be super woman. Well it's great to know that karen can hold her own like the rest of us, while it makes us all happy when our men have our back and that they want to spoil us just as Drake did Karen, but the book is about Karen being love by Her Treasured SEAL. I enjoyed that Karen hasn’t a mean or vindictive–bone in her body and we have all gone through fights with our other half that we can’t remember why we are fighting, plus nights where you didn’t sleep because the one we love isn't next to us and he's working maybe in danger and he's far away. Overall I enjoyed the book it's written well, the flow is great and the message is received loud and clear. I read the book in one day. Seriously, if you are are like myself you will feel that this book is perfect for you. Plus I found Karen to be very strong, resilient and lovable. Although of course there isn't a perfect characters though Drake is pretty darn close in my book. I don’t agree with everything in the book, but I applaud Caitlyn for giving me and my fellow readers so much laughter, enjoyment and love. The only thing that I would have liked more about their dynamics was to know more about Karen's brothers. The dialogue overall is one big plus for me. The scenes were described well without telling about every corner in the room, it's enough to get the feel of the moment. I love weddings!! Any Wedding is romantic but a ocean front wedding is just perfect for me. I’ve been married for 40 years and we plan to renew our vows on our 50th anniversary and I want to be renewing our vows on a beach, so this story had me daydreaming that this could me be without that last part. If you enjoy a strong, sexy take charge hero then you will absolutely love Drake. I enjoy Caitlyn O'Leary writing style besides making me laugh, the sexy times are blazing hot, plus the other parts of the story is just as great. I highly recommend this delightful entertaining book.
Her Treasured SEAL continues to regale us with even more about my favourite Dominant SEAL, Drake. With fatherhood impending and a wedding on the near horizon, he’s over the moon about his future with the woman he never imagined would own his heart. But as we’ve come to expect from these overbearing, Alpha males, nothing ever comes easy and things are definitely about to turn this take-charge SEAL’s life on it’s axis.
I was captivated by Drake and Karen in Her Dominant SEAL and this latest tale solidifies my opinion of Drake and his determination to protect, cherish and be all that he can for those he loves. But what a tough as nails Neanderthal SEAL really needs is an equally strong willed woman who will love him warts and all, but reams him when it’s necessary too; that’s our Karen. A rollercoaster of emotions is experienced by all in this story, but it only makes it that much more realistic as new parents navigate this life-altering change, and come to terms with the suffocating effect of excessive sheltering by those you love.
So, while some authors write romance, some write suspense and some write action; when sit down to read a Caitlyn O’Leary SEAL story, you are going to get the whole enchilada! Her Treasured SEAL is jam-packed with matters of the heart, frustration and miscommunication, and conflict of the life-threatening kind that will send the Midnight Delta and Black Dawn teams into battle mode, and Declan’s Shadow Alliance will also make a spectacular appearance too!
The Midnight Delta series is definitely one better appreciated when read in order, so if you haven’t already read Her Dominant SEAL, then make sure to grab it NOW as that is where Drake and Karen’s story begins, but I’m sure Her Treasured SEAL will not be the end of their adventures.
Drake and Karen are back to get their HEA - but it is not going to be plain sailing. They may be deeply in love but fate is a fickle witch and she isn't finished with them yet.
Drake has been stateside since Karen had to go on bedrest and he has missed out on a few missions. Karen is feeling responsible and that she is holding him back. Add in organising a wedding and searching for a house and you have a powderkeg awaiting to ignite!
As usual Karen wants to do it all herself but there is a little human forming inside of her and she just can't do it all anymore. When things go from bad to worse and Drake and she have a narrow escape with a medical emergency, Drake goes even further into caveman mode..who knew that level of caveman even existed!!!!
Drake and the boys face some stiff opposition and Drake's first mission back with the team is a doozy. I was alternately spitting nails and calling for blood and cheering for the good guys! There are some not so nice visitors from previous books back for another go round with the Midnight Deltas...and just for good measure Black Dawn and another couple of friendly faces turn up to lend a hand!
Weddings are always fraught with tension but not may end with helicopters and ...well that would be telling! I loved meetings Karen's family. Her brothers are intense but her mum and dad are a hoot! They just hoover up the entire extended Avery family.. that's a LOT of extra bodies to love.
Drake was always going to be a natural dad, he's already been one for his sisters. Karen did what so many women try to do and be superwoman. When you have people around who can help ..let them! She was her own worst enemy sometimes!
Fantastic book and I now need to figure if we can visit Alaska and catch up with the Eastman boys in their own series...PLEASE say it's so!!
This is the 8th book of the series. I read prior books of the series a while ago, but found they had a new book to the series, so I read it to finish off the series. Generally as a rule, I don’t read a series until I have all the books in the series so I don’t have to try and remember who all the past main characters are in the books.
If you want to read what the book is about, read above the reviews.
Our hero wants to protect both his fiance and his child, but he also knows he has to get back to his job. He knows his fiance has enough emotional support in the other spouses of his friends where he’s comfortable with leaving her. Besides what else is he supposed to do when she tells him to get?
Our heroine is in pain but knows she can and will do this. Other wives of the guys her fiance works worth do it every day so why couldn’t she? She knows she can and will do this. But when our hero goes to work, things start to fall apart for their wedding and she’s exhausted dealing with the baby after being on bed rest for so long, she doesn’t know what to do.
The plot is a great one showcasing just how much spouses of military men do. However, it also highlights numbers are better than being alone at these times. I know when my father served, it wasn’t small times like the one mentioned in the book, but it could be longer than 6 months at a time. Further, there was no bonding together for submariners wives either. They weren’t part of the Navy, but a more subclass and even more sectioned off. I know my mother would have probably loved to have something like this type of team around her.
When things are figured out, and yet they are made targets, you could see how everyone binds together as one and protects their home and work teams.
This one really highlighted the current military home life in this one.
Her Treasured SEAL is the eleventh title in the Midnight Delta series, and continues the story of Drake and Karen who appeared in Her Devoted SEAL. It’s a story full of heat, heart and humour, and much like I’ve come to expect from Ms O’Leary is well Witten and I was captivated from the very first chapter. Packed full of emotion, intrigue, mystery and twists and turns I didn’t anticipate I found myself glued to my kindle from the very first chapter.
The characters are incredibly endearing, and although the story centres around Drake and Karen, many other favourite characters from the Midnight Delta series, feature within the story line.
Drake is a protective, loyal, caring man, an alpha to the core, and whilst he’s not perfect, his heart is definitely in the right place . He’s used to being in charge, and whilst bossy, and attempting to provide aid, he’s also a bit of a Neanderthal, and has the opposite effect, to the consternation and frustration of the women he loves. His actions definitely speak louder than words, especially considering he has a problem with putting his foot in his mouth. Karen is a very relatable, and realistic characters. She’s strong willed, resilient and capable.
The struggles, tension and conflict that Drake and Karen face are realistic and their devotion, passion and love is enviable. Whilst at times this title is quite light hearted, it’s also packed full of action, romance and suspense, and for one will be looking forward to future titles in this series.
Drake never thought he would meet a woman who would be his other half, but that was until he met Karen. It was love at first sight with that diresome redhead. Drake knew about women as he had sisters, but when it came to the woman he loved that was a whole other story.
When Karen was put on bedrest Drake did everything to make sure she was ok, but that was until Andrew decided to arrive. There were complications in delivery and Drake almost lost the woman he loved. When things were ok to go home, Drake still stayed home to protect the two people he loved. Karen knew where Drake was needed and tried to show Drake she was capable. Although, really she wasn’t m, because she didn’t know how to ask for help.
Drake goes with his team and tries to stay focused. They complete the mission, but a call comes through that shakes Drake world. Karen is back in hospital once more. Drake gets Karen to realize it’s ok to ask for help, which she does with the other Seal wives and Drake’s sister. They are able to plan a move, wedding, and get everything organized.
As the wedding goes off beautifully, enemies from their past trying to destroy everything. Helicopters, shots, and screams are all that can be heard. The Seals from both teams try to help and get people to safety. Police can’t show up for twenty minutes.
Can the team find the enemies that ruin a perfect day? Can the seal wives and Karen handle what this life is about? Will Karen family feel sure Karen is in capable hands.
Words can not truly give you the experience that I had when I read this book. First off Mrs Caitlyn OLeary is a genius writer who writes world changing earth moving Love Loyalty Teammates Truthful Hard Working and MUCH MUCH MORE. To say the book is good is actually cutting it short. It is an exciting story full of humor, angst, loyalty, danger and sweet love. If that isn’t enough adjectives describing this beautiful love story, I could add more. There is intrigue, heartfelt devotion and incredible patience. But even then it is still not enough.. Here is a little insight to the book..
Drake is a strong confident Seal who fights for what he wants even if it means taking a step away from his Team for his Love.. Everything he has, he has worked for. Risking his life and pushing himself to his limits and still pushing for more. So when the love of his life Karen has trouble in her pregnancy and almost losing the baby he cracks.. He is already over protective but with this he goes overboard. Karen is the same sweet devoted woman. But her loving Seal is driving her crazy. She is planning a wedding having a baby and so many other things and add in the mix that he won't go to work adds to the anxiety. She knows that he has a lot on his plate and wants to help not add to the situation. So what happens? Will they find a medium? Or will everything they have worked so hard to keep get lost! Read and find out.. But be warned once you do you will be addicted....
Just when I think I can't possibly love Drake more, we see him in all his superman glory in Her Treasured SEAL! My goodness, Drake proves to be the most caring, alpha, protective, and seductive hero of ALL time! I absolutely LOVE his devotion to Karen and his son. He had me swooning with every wonderful word and with everything he does. He doesn't just support Karen, he shows her EXACTLY what she means to him with every action. This story was full of sweetness, full of feels, heart-thumping action and our favorite SEALS and ALL the women...PLUS a wedding that is completely UNFORGETTABLE!
Her Treasured SEAL will forever be one of my FAVORITE BOOKS OF ALL TIME! I LOVED Her Dominant SEAL but Her Treasured SEAL had me sniffling, had me gushing over the way Drake cared for Karen and the action and suspense within all the excitement of the wedding and new baby had me on the edge of my seat. I have such a high standard for romantic suspense and only less than a handful of authors or books make it on my list, but by god, Caitlyn's books usually make it, but this one....KNOCKED THEM ALL TO THE GROUND! This book will FOREVER be cherished by me!
Her Treasured SEAL gets a SIZZLING HOT FIVE SHOOTING STARS! It's breathtaking and sexy and perfectly sweet.
Her Treasured SEAL has it all! Everything from manly heart-to-hearts (Drake style lol) to intimate come-to-Jesus meetings, from action adventures to happy-sweet wedding moments. I laughed and cried, my heart raced, ached, and melted.
I loved that we got another story for Drake and Karen (and really the whole crew, getting to see them and touch base again). Their strength independently and together and the love they have for one another flow off the pages. Sometimes we all need wake-up calls and lots of grace and patience to adjust and settle, which they had in spades. The way Drake cared and loved Karen and their baby, and the way Karen dished that love right back was beautiful and deep and precious. The bonds nurtured with others (siblings, team mates, family) continued to melt me with the devotion and unconditional love given.
As much as I loved this story, I so didn't want it to end, because that meant the end of the Midnight Delta series. However, if there's one thing that Caityln O'leary is good at, it's crossing over characters into new stories, so it's not really goodbye forever.
Her Treasured Seal feels like the fairy dust coating on top of a delightful swirl of whipped-cream icing over a decadent cupcake - a perfect way to wrap up an amazing story. *tosses up all the stars*
I am so thankful that we get another story about Drake and Karen. They are together, baby on the way, wedding in the works and everyone is happy.
The story starts out very scary and it shakes Drake to his very core. Drake is put in a position that he can't handle and doesn't have any control over. It really messes him up.
In many ways, I felt like Karen was very relatable to a point. You think you are going to bounce back right after you deliver and you're going to be this sort of superwoman where you can resume activities that you did before not putting sleep deprivation and a new baby into the equation. You throw in what Karen went through and that girl needs to cut herself some slack.
I loved how protective Drake was and how he seemed to just ease into his fatherly role. It just seemed so natural. I did have some issues with Karen though, I was getting frustrated on how she wasn't taking care of herself or thinking she could do everything. Even though it wasn't mentioned I thought many times, I wonder if she was dealing with a little postpartum depression.
The ending of the book was both heartwarming and heartbreaking. I won't give any spoilers but I loved and hated the ending.
Drake was one of the first SEALs I read about when I was reintroduced to the author. You'd think a big brother of a bunch of girls he'd raised he would be female savvy. Right! Controlling, blunt, are just a few of his stronger traits. Good thing the guy is gorgeous, strong, loyal, and HOT! It would take a woman who is used to some controlling of her own. Who needs more control skills than a kindergarten teacher. Karen. They fell in love. Got pregnant. She had a long bed rest--almost died before delivering a minime baby boy. Now if she can just get him to head out with his team to do the work he'd trained for at least guilt won't be one of her problems. The mission is critical and close to the heart of the whole team. They have the mission and they have their mission. These guys can do both. Right? Will danger finally win and keep them apart or will the team complete their multi-layered mission ending with their long-awaited marriage--that is if she can get it planned, keep her health, and take care of their angel. You will alternate between wanting to kiss or kick him (Karen sure does) but in the end, we'd all like a Drake in our lives. Another winner from Ms O'Leary. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
Definitely a Treasure – Amazing Relationship, SEAL action, eliciting both tears and laughter!!
Prepare yourself. This story will bring many emotions. If you have read the previous books in the series you will definitely enjoy this more – if you have not; I predict you will remedy that error (in other words the entire series is a must-read).
The story focuses on the relationship between Karen and Drake, but as always the SEAL team is never far away as this team is truly family. Karen delivers their son Andrew Mason Avery after 5 months on bed rest. Drake, who has been exceedingly caring during this time returns to mission work with the SEAL team. The mission includes (in part) the rescue of young girls, triggering the protective instincts of the team.
Both Karen and Drake work to put the other person first – sometimes to the detriment of themselves. Heartwarming and emotional as things do not always go as planned. When danger follows the team home our favorite SEAL team jumps into action to ensure the safety of those they love.
Great characters, deepening relationships, emotional story line and sizzling romance all combine to create an action-filled story!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the continuation of the midnight delta series and the sequel to Drake and Karen's story from Her Dominant SEAL. Drake and Karen are expecting their first child and Karen has been on bed rest and Drake has been on family leave as is usual with Drake he is taking things way to far and totally smothering Karen as he does with all the women in his life. Throw in the usual dramas you get with the midnight delta team and you know things won't go smoothly. There is a wedding where everything that can go wrong in the organising does Karen working herself into the ground with a new baby and enemies trying to destroy the team, but you know that everything will eventually work out . In this story the boys from Shadow alliance also make an appearance in this book.
As usual Caitlyn has knocked it out of the park with this book but I would recommend that you read the entire series in order to really appreciate this book
Drake and Karen are ready for the happily ever after. But are they ready for the work involved in keeping it?
Her Treasured Seal by Caitlyn O'Leary allows us back into Drake and Karen's lives. They have their new son and are planning their wedding but there are a few bumps in the road. I love Drake. He means well, has a good heart but boy is tact something he either never learned or can't grasp. But boy does he love fiercely. And almost losing Karen has sent his protective instincts into overdrive. And Karen is struggling. Not just with Drakes protective instincts but juggling new motherhood with planning a wedding. She hasn't quite learned to ask for help and it is costing her. Can Drake convince her to let him in?
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with old friends I also enjoyed Ms. O'Leary showing us that happily ever after requires work and communication. It is a lesson Drake and Karen needed to learn. I love that we got to go along for the ride even as Ms. O'Leary threw in some unexpected action. This story is well written enjoyable read. And I for one can't wait to see where she will take us next in this world.
In every relationship you have to have communication and it seems that Drake and Karen need to be reminded of this. Karen, just having given birth gets busy with planning her wedding and getting them moved to their new place all without anyones help. Well things don't go as planned and she ends up in the hospital.
As for Drake, he ends up just taking over and not letting Karen have a say in decisions he makes, that will always get a guy in trouble. Good thing he has many SEAL brothers to ask for advise.
Caitlyn O'leary has a way with pulling at the heartstrings, her stories are what I look for when wanting to truly get immersed into a book. These characters just feel so real, I'd want to be part of the family. I just could not get enough of this couple, wish the story could go on and on, but I'm sure we'll see more of them when we get more of other's stories....hint hint Ms. Caitlyn!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I'm a huge fan of this author, her writing style appeals to me and I've enjoyed many of her books. I received this book through book-sprout for a honest review, this is mine.. My thoughts only a voluntary review. I found this book to be brilliant in parts. Hard to follow in parts.. I love Drake he's been a favourite and now with his son and his protectiveness of his family wow, he's extremely endearing. I found parts hard to follow, I know tying all the teams together and their wives, partners, girlfriend ect.. is some times necessary but this made it feel like I needed to go back and read all the other books first to keep it all in order. I have questions on parts that did not get answered , but I don't want to spoil the out come for other people. You can't read this as a stand alone and would be fabulous if it had a family tree and who's who in the open pages that we could refer back to.
This is an exceptionally well written adult story that has it all. A Beautiful kindergarten teacher and her Navy Seal fiance have their first son but all doesn't run smoothly when Karen has a bad reaction to her spinal and almost dies after giving Drake a son, it almost brings the big handsome Navy Seal to his knees. Drake loves Karen more than life itself. When she's home for awhile he drives her crazy so when his team gets called for a special mission, she tells him to go his team needs him. The story has action, danger, suspense, undying love and a beautiful romance. The story will grab you and not let you go til The very last page. Bravo Caitlyn another great book. I can hardly wait to see whats next by this multi talented author. I voluntarily decided to review this advanced reader copy because it's a great adult romance story and I wanted other avid adult romance readers to know it's so worth reading!
