I loved the first book in the series "Up in smoke" and therefore this book was already on my to read list for a while...no disappointment here either. It is a fun, fast read. The old ladies are hilarious and even though Nikki has a little problem with the guys, she's a really nice girl.
I am starting right away with book 3.

Nikki has been married 6 times, her grandmother is quirky so when a killer goes after someone close to them they start investigating. This book was supposed to be funny but it wasn’t and it wasn’t that interesting either.

These grannies are so hilarious! It's like the Golden Girls turned vigilante. I had read the first book and thought it was good but this one was even better. I was glad when the author released the second one later last year. I only wish I had gotten around to reading it sooner.

The Grannies think that someone is targeting older men in their town so they're determined to get to the bottom of it. Of course Detective Owen doesn't want them interfering since one man has already been killed and a little later another one is nearly killed. This doesn't stop them, of course.

Can the Grannies get this one solved in time for Nikki and Grandma Dean to open their Hello, Beautiful shop? Give it a read and see! It's a quick and fun read, some good twists and even though it was a very easy to follow mystery, I didn't guess who the killer was.

A fun mystery with a cozy flair. Nikki is an interesting character growing into maturity with the help of her Grandmother and friends. I thought the mystery could have been better but I liked all the characters and relationships. The mystery included human stupidity which rarely makes a mystery fun and almost always tragic. I don't like tragedy in my cozy mysteries. However, I did enjoy the writing and will read more in this series.

With lots of laugh out loud antics, the Glock Grannies are at it again! A must read!

If you love cozy mysteries with lots of laugh out loud humor then this series is for you! The Glock Grannies will never leave injustice alone nor tracking down a murderer much to the chagrin of Detective Owen. But Grannie Dean, the leader of the Glock Grannies can never leave a case alone, especially when a friend of the group is a target. Finally letting her granddaughter, Nikki into the group because they needed her help, they stop at nothing to see who would want their friend, Stan dead...and why? With lots of twists and turns and scenes that are so funny you can't help but laugh, the group set out to solve the case. With a little romance, could Nikki really be falling for Joe, the fireman? Is she totally over Owen? The Grannies have their say in Nikki's dating and life choices as well. And what about her stalker? So many variables thrown in to keep you not only laughing, but guessing as well. This is a fantastic series. I received an ARC but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I purchased the set of the first few books on Audible because they were on major sale, I love cozy mysteries and the granny aspect sounded fun. Unfortunately the main character is actually a younger woman and the Grannies are all secondary characters. If you can ignore the lead you might enjoy it but I just couldn't get past her. She sets my teeth on edge. I can't stand her. She's an indecisive and immature idiot on multiple occasions and is awful at personal romantic relationships. It's not funny just sad an rediculous. I did not like book one but decided to try book 2 because A I own them now and B the premise was still interesting. I was hoping we would see some growth in the main character butwhat little growth she made seems to have regressed. I even put it down to try again later but it is still awful. I'm done.

Six-time divorcee Nikki moves in with her Grandmother to reassess her life. Little does she know her granny's 'card club' is actually a vigilante group that keeps watch over the retirement community.

Money makes the world go round

A good read. Possibly not as good as the first. Okay I didn't guess the culprit but I still can't say that I really enjoyed the plot. The characters to seem to be very judgmental and if anything it's put me off them especially her Gran. So what if set has frizzy hair or doesn't dress to the nines surely there's more to a person then physical appearance.
They are getting the revamped shop ready for opening when she sees a very deliberate attempt at a hit and run. Later that night one of the man targeted dies. Who killed him? Was it the sleazy developer? An attempt on the second man has them all reeling as does the news that he has an estranged wife? Was telling wife after his money? Or could it be the stalker that she seems to have picked up?

My main problem with the FMC is that she is engaged, goes to her grandmother is get her head together but dates another guy. It is disloyal and simply terrible. Break off the engagement! Very hard to like her especially as she is in her thirties still playing teenager.

The mystery plot is very simple and felt a bit contrived. I do not think there is enough information to figure out the culprit until you are near the end of the book. The story feels more like an excuse to try and show the quirkiness of the cast rather than a satisfying mystery plot. The cast size is a little large and the character's aspects are a bit harder to pull off well.

I think the series is quick enough to read if you need something simple to read in-between series but I have other books I rather be reading than this one.

I will not be continuing the series.

Nikki moved away from her small hometown to stay with Grandma Dean for a while to sort herself out. She was on the verge of marring Bo, husband no.7. Grandma Dean decided that they should open a shop, specializing in clothing for ladies and cats which would keep Nikki busy and out of the marriage loop. However, when someone starts killing off members of her retirement home, Grandma Dean and her friends, the Glock Grannies will not stand by and let it happen, especially when the police do not appear to have any idea who it could be. And there are enough dodgy and slimy characters around who would be great contenders for the role of the killer.

A fun cozy mystery which I enjoyed and can totally recommend

Another fun, funny adventure with the Glock Grannies of Florida. Think Golden Girls on Nancy Drew. My one complaint is that Grandma Dean seems to be the only fleshed-out granny. The rest seem almost like ghosts, in that there's not much description, either physical or character-wise, of the women. Greta says this line, Hattie says says that line, but I had trouble picturing these ladies in my head. They seemed interchangeable with the dialogue. That aside, if you want a fun, funny mystery read without edginess or grittiness, but still an exciting whodunit, this book is for you. I'd be interested in reading the next book in the series.

I liked this one better than the first and maybe that’s simply because it takes me a bit to get to know the characters of a series. I like the sense of humor; it’s a bit sarcastic.

I’m glad everything worked out for Lily, too. I wonder if that means Sydnie will stay? Maybe we’ll find out in Book 3 “A Family Affair”.

We’ll also find out what’s going to happen with Joe and if there’s anything there between Nikki and him. I really like Les, honestly, and I hope something great happens for him because he’s a cool guy.

Usually second or more books in a series just don't live up to the first book, but not this series! 😊 The Grannies are even more feisty and the bad guys have no idea what hit them😉. Nikki still isn't my favorite person but with the harshness that Grandma keeps throwing at her I am starting to feel sorry for her😞. I really hope she breaks things off with Bo soon and stops stringing the poor guy along. (kinda the reason I don't like her) Can't wait to see the shenanigans in the next book! 😁

Wow, Grandma Dean and Nikki are hilarious. This book was such a treat and totally a great reading experience. Love the Glock Grannies and their crime solving skills, or spills. The characters in this book are well defined. The plot keeps you turning the pages to see what crazy situation will happen next. If you love cozy mysteries, you will love this book.

The Glock Grannies aren't afraid of anyone or anything. Nikki is Geraldine's granddaughter, and even though she tries to keep the Grannies 'in line" it isn't gonna happen! This story is funny and shows what happens when people work together for a common goal. In this story the common goal is murder. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this story. The review is my own opinion

Funny Cozy mystery

Loved this very funny mystery about a group of grannies who like to solve crimes. The characters are so interesting and I laughed out loud at their funny antics .The granddaughter of one of the grannies helped them with their crime detection , sometimes reluctantly. Since this was not the first in this series, I want to see how the Block grannies started..

I really enjoyed reading this book. What a concept! A bunch like neighborhood watch type vigilante, block carrying, grannies. A mystery worth solving. Tricky to the end, and funny too. I have never read one of this author's books before, I got this one free from Goodreads giveaways, but I certainly going to go find the rest of the grannies series. Get these books if you like copies and enjoy!

Who is the murderer

Getting to know how the grannies tick. They are a hoot! The book starts with the actions of an obnoxious old man. The next thing you know he's been murdered. The police have no clue. The grannies go to work. They carry out a lot of antics, but still have no clue. Who is the murderer? Keep reading .

Cozy Florida Murder Mystery
This book is second in a series. While it stands alone, the series is best read in order. This is a fun and funny murder mystery in a small Florida retirement community. This book is full of laugh-out-loud moments. The plot is great and the ending is quite a surprise. The book is a hoot! I bought this book and this is my honest opinion.

Great characters and stories!! Great humor and love the cat's outfits!!! I am getting ready to read the third book and I am still laughing at the story of Geraldine holding the criminal by his "hand" and by the end had less "hand" to hold!!!!! Keep them coming!!

Nikki is definitely settling into life with Grandma and buddies. This adventure had some amusing twists and went where I wasn't expecting... Fully enjoyable. Oh this has one of the cringiest creepy guys that you'll love to greet with a big "ewww". Also Nikki goes on two dates and a little road trip with the gang.

The Root Of All Evil, a Glock Grannies cozy mystery, had everything I look for in this genre - humor, suspense and of course just the right amount of red herrings to challenge my own amateur sleuthing skills! Highly recommend.

A silly, fun mystery where a young woman is staying with her grandmother while she thinks about her life and six ex-husbands, while her grandmother along with a bunch of other ladies living in the retirement home try to solve murders.

This book was hilarious just like the first one. It was laugh out loud funny. The characters were altogether funny but Larry, he was outlandish. Every time she described him and/0r what he was wearing, I burst out into laughter.

Getting ready to start #3.
