Another winner from Zenina Masters! This story is another about people from different backgrounds finding love. Love these shifter stories with a heart.

Not so much
A dilemma. Scarlett is a bit hard to accept, and Hiro isn't quite the idea of a solid match. I guess this one just didn't do it for me.

A yeti red panda bear mix? One thing is for sure, Ms. Masters creates unique shifters and even more creative mixes. With Scarlet's hybrid background, it isn't easy to find a mate. How many male would be willing to deal with her wild magic? Magic that comes from Yetis and a rare Chinese red panda? How many people even know what a red panda looks like? And may think it is just a raccoon with a dye job? Luckily for Scarlet, her parents are familiar with the Crossroads and send her over to find a mate.
Scarlet's time at the crossroads is short and cute. She is clear that fae are off the menu because she has enough eccentric magic that she doesn't want anything new to make it even crazier. Her interactions at the crossroads are meh for the most part. No one is capturing her interest so when she takes a hike into the woods to center herself for a few days, it is a surprise when a man finds her.
Hiro is a worker at Crossroads. He isn't there to find a mate. When he does catch Scarlet's seductive scent, he is quickly swayed to change his mind. I liked how Hiro chases after her and courts her. Specifically, I loved his job creating hot springs and natural spas. Talk about a dream job. Talk about a dream spouse who can create the most relaxing bathing experience ever. I'm half in love with Hiro and what he can do. Plus, he is a TIGER! Rawr. There is a particularly adorable scene with a sleeping Scarlet and Hiro.
This short tale is a glimpse into this ever expanding fantasy world of Ms. Masters. Crossroads is this magical place I would love to work in and enjoy. The quality of life is amazing. The purpose for each person's job is meaningful. Love it. This paranormal romance is recommended to readers who need a little "Calgon to take me away".
