I'm a wife and mother of three teenage kids. I've been married to the same wonderful man for twenty years. I've decided that if I can survive raising three kids then I can survive anything!! I haven't uttered the Mama's curse yet, but it could happen any day now. You know the one..."I hope you have a child just like you someday."

I'm an avid reader and lover of all things romance. I've spent my entire adult life waiting to follow my dreams of becoming a writer. One day this past summer, I decided to just do it. No more wishing and hoping. I haven't quit my day job, but that is my ultimate goal...make a living telling stories of love.

I write contemporary gay fiction. I hope you will love reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.

2★'s = it was ok. Just barely, but still ok.

It at least filled in all the blanks from This Time Around. Truthfully I think this book should be book 1 of The Lady is Mine series but also book 3.5 of the Road to Blissville series. Just my opinion. There is a lot of this book mentioned in that book and well, I got all screwed up.

Anyway, this book was just not for me and it is not because it is M/F. I still read M/F so it wasn't that. I needed to read it for peace of mind those missing pieces I mentioned but aside from that I didn't like it all that much. First off, the dialogue made me cringe. Both Maegan and Elijah seemed to have two identities, one their human self and the other their down there parts. It was odd and made me feel awkward and uncomfortable. The whole my cock/pussy has a mind of its own thing isn't appealing. If he is a dick, and he was a dick, tell your pussy to dry up! Come on! Ewww!

That leads me to the next thing. Sex. There was so much freaking sex in this. That was mostly all there was. All their thoughts and all their actions were just sex, sex and more sex. Ugh. And come on, Maegan didn't date, didn't have relationships but man oh man, she was like a porn star on steroids. It was odd and also made me kind of uncomfortable. Not to mention Just ugh.

Elijah. I get it. I do. What happened to you sucked but I would have thrown you out the door the minute I realized you just wanted to get laid. Thank you for the fuck but it is time for you to move on now! He really came across as an asshole and I have no idea what Maegan saw in him. His behavior was not attractive. But he was right? And so was she. The two of them, I don't know how they even managed to leave their homes they were so good looking and perfect. Ugh.

Ok, so I have one thing I need to mention. A lot of people criticize M/F books for weak girls and over the top alpha men as an example. A lot of my friends don't read M/F anymore because of this. PSA. Write whatever you want but please don't constantly point out throughout the book that the girl is strong and she doesn't need a man or that she doesn't cry and hates romcoms and only wants to watch action movies and on and on and on. This is worse. And not realistic.

Anyway.

There is probably more but I'll stop here, I feel like I'm being a mean bitch and I don't want to be a mean bitch. So I'll reiterate that I am glad I read it to fill in what I was missing from Milo's book and I have the feeling I'll have to read the next two if they also crossover so I don't miss anything, I just hope there is more substance in the next two. I don't think I could stand to read only about all the dripping sex for 400+more pages.

I don't read MF much these days as I get irritated by them too much but as this ties in with the Road to Blissville series, and it's by an author I really enjoy reading, I picked it up.

There's lots of sex, a tad too much for me if I'm honest, and I'm not a fan of the descriptive type of desperate sex where everything's wall banging and dripping genitalia, but the characters are both fabulous and their chemistry is clear.

I would have liked a variety in the pace of their sexual exploits but I loved that Maegan was unashamedly sensual and happy to tell Elijah just what she wanted him to do and encouraged his dirty talk.

The murder mystery element was also well done and had a twist I wasn't expecting and the pacing of that was excellent.

It does end on a bit of a cliffie too, which almost always ends up in me knocking a star off but I should have expected it as this is a trilogy.

Sexy, Fun With a Side of Mystery

The Lady is a Thief was hard to put down. Elijah’s brash personality is a great match for Maegan’s spitfire and sass. I loved their banter and chemistry. Aimee Nicole Walker did a great job balancing the romance between her MCs and the mystery that surrounded them.

Smoking hot!

This is one hot freaking cop! I wasn't surprised by their immediate attraction, but I was surprised by this author way of writing some seriously steamy sex! To say I was more than pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I really enjoy books by this author and this was no hardship even though it's a bit different than usual lol. I love these characters and the glimpse of other well known and loved characters. I'm ready for the next one!

Maegan Miracle seems to have the perfect life. A successful career, great friends & family, but that doesn't change the fact that she's lonely behind her brilliant smile. However, her calm life takes a huge turn into chaos when she becomes a target in a killer's game. Which brings her into the path of her sexy new neighbor, as he's the detective on the case. Detective Elijah Markham has traded big city danger for the small town life thinking it would give him some peace & quiet. But it quickly becomes apparent that his new small town keeps deadly secrets, & on top of that, his sexy new neighbor is going to do a number on his closed off heart. Between their heat, & keeping her safe, will Elijah have the time to keep his own heart safe? The Lady is a Thief was a fantastic story that kept my every bit of my attention hijacked cover to cover with heart racing! Maegan & Elijah's chemistry kept my blood pumping with their sparks, & it didn't take long for them to ignite into an INFERNO of flames that burned the sheets up with sexy times! And the cast of secondaries were so entertaining that they kept me laughing like crazy! Twists & turns were around every corner which kept the f-bombs dropping hot, and when the answer was revealed, I was completely shocked. And that's all I'll say about that. Once again, Aimee Nicole Walker with her brilliantly addictive writing style gave me another fantastic story that I never wanted to end, & thankfully, she wrapped this story up, and yet, left me hanging for the next book, so yay, but now I NEED THE NEXT BOOK LIKE YESTERDAY! (Yeah feeling very conflicted & dramatic!) HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

4.5 Stars!
Not a surprise that I am a fan of this author. It started off a little shaky for me with the first book I read from this author with her writing of the whole mystery aspects of her stories but book after book I've become more and more addicted to her words and characters. So, I was super excited to see that she step outside of her norm and wrote an M/F book. And HOTT DAMN did she nail this with amazing chemistry and passion between the MC's.

Elijah and Maegan were scorching hot and I think that they really complemented each other perfectly. I loved Maegan's character because although she had her hangups she was still fiesty and independent. Elijah was absolutely yummy! I'm a sucker for the alpha protective guys and he falls right in that category without being too overbearing.

The story itself was well written and kept me entertained throughout. I love the secondary characters especially Maegan's brother, Milo. I really hope we get his story soon. We also get to see some characters from previous books because this is set in Blissville but totally reads as a standalone and no need to read the other books before this one. Although, I do recommend them because they are great reads as well.

Aimee Nicole Walker did a great job on this and even the mystery part had me captivated and I totally dug how it played out. I definitely cannot wait for the next book because I'm already craving more Elijah and Maegan.

This gets a star just for the cover which is super gorgeous but the rest of the story...meh.

I can't believe I'm saying this but...there was just too much sex for this to be interesting. All private interactions between the two main characters revolved around sex, only if they were in public did they even talk about anything else - even then we are treated to inner musings about the other's desirability. Instalove is generally not my thing and even less so here when it's not love but lust.

The sex is not only plentiful but THE BEST SEX EVER for both of them, especially for Maegan who has never had an orgasm with another person and the first time Elijah gets into her panties she spontaneously comes.

I enjoyed the Curl Up and Dye series from this author so Blissville and its inhabitants were familiar to me but this just felt tacked on.

Also, the book could have used a much more rigorous editing/proofing before publishing - there were a few mishaps in my copy that made the reading experience just that little less lovely than I expected.

I jumped over to read this one to get the "full" story when I read about Maegan and Elijah in the Road to Blissville series and yes, I got a few answers to my questions, but I was extremely surprised by the missed opportunities by the author in this story. Example: I loved the cover, but not once (that I recall) was there a mention of Maegan's tattoos, which are quite predominant on the cover... there was plenty of mention of "the girls" and various other body parts and frankly, I don't have a problem with the "C" word when used in an appropriate context, which I felt Ms. Walker did I fine job with the "dirty talk"... but like many other reviews, I would have loved to have "seen" a bit more relationship build up! (WOW, did I just write that extremely long run-on sentence?) LOL!!!

I am sure that as I continue with the Road to Blissville series, I will continue with what appears to be a trilogy in this series... I have questions and it looks like this series is going to give me the answers! *grin*

Maegan has been through a lot in life. She has battled cancer and dealt with some awful people, but she has still managed to be a sweet, quirky, and fun loving person. She has a career she loves and has built a good reputation for buying and selling antiques. Her new neighbor throws her for a loop though.

Detective Elijah Markham was not expecting someone like Maegan to come into his life. Past betrayals have left him guarding his heart and afraid to open himself up to love. It doesn't take long at all though for Maegan to start chipping away at the walls he has up.

The little snippets of Maegan and Elijah that we got in Aimee Nicole Walkers other books just did not do them justice! Don't get me wrong. I already loved them before starting this one but they are just so much more kick ass than I originally thought.

Get ready for a psycho killer, dirty words, and lots of action!

Maegan Miracle and her twin Milo own a book store / cafe and also an antique shop. She lives to rummage around finding lovely old treasures.
Detective Elijah Markham has just moved to the area and starts at his new post soon.
It doesn't take long for the fireworks to start.
When our heroine finds more than she bargained for in an old house it's time for our hero to start worrying.
This is a sexy, murder / mystery full of all sorts of action and lots of laughs.
You know the type of story where you get funny looks from people because you burst out laughing when you are on your own. This is like that. I especially loved our heroine's parents and their absolute love and support for Milo and Maegan.
This story is complete but teases us for the next book at the end.
A wonderfully entertaining read.

The Lady is a Thief (M/F) (The Lady is Mine series), set in the Blissville world was FANTASTIC! I have not read a M/F book in quite some time mostly because many of the heroines bore me. There is nothing boring about this book...it is quintessential Aimee. The writing is top notch..with feels abound, it's funny, snarky and so freakin hot that my panties virtually melted..Maegan is da bomb!! She is a strong, unabashed woman! Elijah is smoking 🔥!! I'm in love with Maegan's twin brother Milo, and I can't wait for his story down the road!! Many of the Blissvile characters make an appearance, but this is a complete standalone!! For those of you who like M/F or those of you who are willing to give it a go if you haven't in a while, this is THE book to read!!!

Meagan Markham...sounds good to me!

Well done re-entry into Blissville starring Meagan Miracle, Milo’s twin sister. This story runs concurrently with Milo’s story with Beefcake Andy in his book (in the Road to Blissville series) so if you think you’ll see Milo and Andy together in this one, nope, not yet. And I love that about all these interlinking stories.

Meagan is...wow. I want to be her. She’s pretty darned awesome. Elijah knows this from the start, but takes some self-convincing that she’s the kind of awesome he wants to keep.

The secondary characters from Blissville all pop up including Adrian, Milo, Josh, and some new ones. But the ones that cracked me up were Meagan and Milo’s parents - they got the funniest lines in all the books.

2.5☆ I think that the Curl Up & Dye series set a standard for my expectations for this author & this fell short. I didn't love this one, the MCs were likeable but it was pretty much instalove with no real character development or conflict...every scene they were in together was just sex with a throw away paragraph abt the past Elijah was hungup on for so long (cured with magic pussy), no real building of a relationship.

It does seem that their story will be continued so I'll give that book a go to see if we get some of what I felt was missing.

My first impression of this book is- Smoking hot cover. This is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Walker and I definitely will be reading more about her. There were references to other of her works in this book and I would love to read them.

Maegan Miracle has a perfect life from the outside looking in, two successful businesses that she co-owns with her twin, great parents and friends- but she is lonely. She just doesn’t realize how lonely she is until she meets Elijah. Detective Elijah Markham moves into the next house down from Maegan. He just wants to decompress after a rough case and being undercover. When his sexy neighbor starts having threats against her he goes into protective cop mode. The attraction between the two is off the charts. Will Detective Markham be able to save Maegan from a demented killer?

I loved the suspense in this book, you didn’t know which way to turn. The best way to end the new year is with a great book and Ms. Walker delivers this with The Lady is a Thief. I can’t wait for the next book in this trilogy.

** I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review **

Welcome back to Blissville

It’s hard to find a MF erotic novel with a compelling plot these days that isn’t too cliché. I love sexy times but I also love character development and plot. The Lady is a Thief was a pleasant surprise because it has all of that and more! I love Aimee’s novels and this new series is part of her Blissville universe which I adore. The best thing about this book is The Lady in question, Maegan. She isn’t just another virginal girl in need of a hot stud. Nope. Maegan Miracle is a badass with an awesome personality and she’s surrounded by a colorful cast of characters. Elijah, our male lead, is just the right amount of hotness and the right amount of human being with trust issues. They both have a scorching hot connection that develops naturally in a very realistic way while the main plot happens around them. It’s a very entertaining read and I’m looking forward to the next installments in the series!

I love the Blissville universe and adore Josh and Gabe (and their friends), however, there was a bit too much sex for my taste in this one. Plus, like another reviewer, I really hate the C word. The plot was good and the romance build up better but I am really ready for Milo and Andy and then Memphis and (maybe) Lyric?

As always Aimee brings it!

Well I never doubted Aimee for a second. Her first M/F romance and she blows it outta the water. Amazingly written. Love the dynamic pull between the characters. The cover alone will have you lifting this book off the shelf or hitting one click purchase. The story is fabulously written. I can't wait for the next book in this trilogy.

I really enjoyed the mystery/suspense as well as the humor in the author’s “Curl Up & Dye” series, so I was excited for this spin off. It didn’t disappoint EXCEPT for the fact that this is part one in an ongoing series that hasn’t finished yet. So instead of binge reading like I did with CU&D, I actually have to wait for the next installment. 😉

Stolen heart

What a great story. Aimee Nicole Walker has done it again. She has the ability to bring you into the characters lives as if you lived there with them. Elijah was a great addition to Blissville. Freckles was such an endearing nickname. I love the strength of these characters. I am looking forward to more of this series.

Interesting addition to Blissville

I love Aimee's books set in her fictional town of Blissville. We get to meet the new detective in town and he's neighbour to one of the beloved residents. Elijah Markham and Maeghan Miracle are sizzling together. Throw in a mystery or two. I can't wait to read the next book in this trilogy.

Loved!

When Aimee said this was her first M/F book, I have to admit... I worried. Silly me. This book was as good, dare I say if not better, than the M/M Blissville books! It was entertaining, sexy and suspenseful. The characters are well written and, thankfully, her grammar is right on. I loved Meagan and Elijah's story! Nnjnn ow all is need is the NEXT book.

Enjoyed this so much.

Ok I somehow missed this story and got the books out of order but I still loved it. This one popped up after I got Memphis and Lyrics book. I read that one first but still loved this one. I remember Meagan seeing a new guy in Milo and Andy's book. Loved it and recommend to everyone.
