Stand & Deliver is book five in the Men of Haven series by Rhenna Morgan. This is one of those times that come along when the rating system we are allowed does not do justice to the book. This book gets ALL the stars! Five is not enough! I can’t even really say what it was about Beckett that did it for me, and oh my gosh, he most definitely did do it for me! Maybe that he was an all alpha, tough, possessive, no holds barred man, but also had a weakness. Something he had to deal with, fight against, that made him real, it made him human, and it made me love him all the more!
Beckett Tate never knew what it was like to have a family, to have someone protect your back, except for his best friend, Knox, whom he grew up with. When he and Knox joined the Haven Brotherhood, though, he finally realized what he had been missing his whole life, he had a family. And their family was growing as four of his brothers had claimed their women. Beckett works with Knox for a security company. He has known Gia Sinclair for three years now since she is in the same line of work. But he’d watched her turn away man after man and it was obvious she didn’t mix work and dating. So, he kept his distance but he watched her, and he dreamed about her. On one particular night, though, when Gia had a few too many shots of tequila, she let slip a little tidbit of information that let him know she had also been watching him. He knew right that minute that his days of just dreaming about Gia, and watching her from a distance were over. That she was going to be his. Now all he had to do was convince her of that once she sobered up.
“I want your eyes wide-open and your thoughts crystal clear the next time you see me.” His grip tightened against her scalp, conviction pushing the words free in an almost violent surge. “Because your days of dreaming are over.”
Gia was raised by her wealthy attorney father and socialite mother in Atlanta. They expected Gia to be a carbon copy of her mother, to do as she was told, marry, have children. But that’s not what she wanted at all. She majored in criminal justice in college and after graduating, started freelancing in security. She had worked with Knox and Beckett on occasion and knew about the Haven Brothers and how they worked. Every time she was around Beckett, she felt flustered, she knew she was attracted to him. He was always there in the back of her mind. But she saw him parade a different woman with him every time he was out. She was not going to be another notch in his bedpost. Plus, she worked with him on occasion. So she just admired him from a distance. But evidently she let her feelings slip after she had a few too many shots. And now, Beckett has let her know that their days of mutual admiring from afar are over. That he wants her, for more than just one night! That he’s all in, and he will do whatever it takes to show her that she can trust him.
The chemistry between Gia and Beckett is off the charts, like in the stratosphere. Gia is a strong woman and is used to being in control. But with Beckett, she can let that control go, let him take the wheel so to speak. But that is in the bedroom only. Outside of the bedroom, he shows her nothing but respect. And he offers her something else too, a family. His brothers, their wives, the moms, all of them, take Gia in like one of their own. She’s never experienced anything like this before, her own upbringing cold and lonely. Can she accept what Beckett is offering her? Can she trust him?
Gia is good at what she does. But accidents start happening that make her doubt herself. Now she has managed to score a huge gig, one that will be a big addition to her resume. With Beckett and his brothers at her back, she’s sure to pull it off.
This book just blew me away right from the start. Gia and Beckett together were perfection. I swooned, I sighed, I gasped. Of the Haven Brothers I would have told you with no hesitation that my favorite so far was Trevor. But now…I can’t really say that. Beckett has stolen my heart. Rhenna Morgan is now hard at work on Axel’s story, the Scottish hottie, which is going to be called Down & Dirty. I hope those fingers are typing fast, Rhenna. That book can’t get here fast enough.

Another awesome book from Rhenna Morgan!!! This is the fifth book of this series, and it is about Beckett Tate and the lovely Gia! I really loved this story and how we learned about the disorder that Beckett has. I admired Gia with how she dealt with his Beckett complex personality and how she worried about him. She always made sure he got what he needed to feel more grounded in himself.
The relationship and sex between Gia and Beckett was nothing short of intense! Wow, these two had passion that was off the charts!!! I loved every minute of them!!! I forgot how alpha Rhenna Morgan writes her heroes! They remind me a bit of KA’s heroes!!! It’s getting harder to find a major alpha male in the present stories it seems; but I always know I can count on a good dose in this series!
If you haven’t given this series a try yet... you must! It is so worth it!!! Usually the story comes with some major suspense as well! This is a quality series that I’m so glad I picked up!!!

Gia is the woman he wants, and he's willing to give her time to come to terms with the fact that he's claiming her, but he isn't willing to walk away from her. Gia is a badass in the security field and has had to work ten times harder than her male colleagues, so it's hard for her to give up control, but with Beckett she's ready to hand it all over to him.
I loved that Gia and Beckett both had such strong ambitions in life. I felt like it connected them to each other more than most main characters that they shared that and it brought them together. Gia didn't have an easy time in her profession no matter how much she fought to get ahead, and as much as Beckett wanted to help her and protect her, he didn't. I loved that about it and to me that showed the real strength he had, to sit back and let the woman he loved handle herself without interfering when he wanted to. Then on the flip side, when she really did need Beckett Gia wasn't afraid to let him take over, showing her own strength in the process. I just really enjoyed both of them together and admired the hell out of them.
Overall, this is definitely a recommended read from me. The chemistry between these characters was amazing, the strength they both had was written very well, and the intriguing story surrounding them is captivating. I would say that this could be read as a standalone, there are past characters that are involved in the story but nothing really mentioned about them that will spoil their own story.

I love all Haven Brothers and I loved this book’s hero Beckett in the previous books up until I read his book but when I saw what he did / or didn’t do, I hated his book.

We got to know the heroine Gia from the previous books when she helped the other heroines as she is also in the security job.
When we read this book, we learn that Beckett has wanted Gia since the day he started to work with her but because she seemed to reject the moves of the guys at work, he thought that she wasn't interested in having a relationship with a co-worker. Also, she comes from a good and wealthy family and he doesn’t so he thought he didn’t deserve her.
Gia, on the other hand, was attracted to Beckett on Day 1 and she has had a crush on him since the day they first met but she has had to watch him parade with a different woman each week. She has had to watch him f*ck his way around, she has had to watch him bring beautiful and sexy women with him to the clubs where they meet as a group of friends, she has had to watch him touch these women constantly. Oh but later we learn that he didn’t sleep with all of them and he wasn’t the player she thought he was. Oh what a relief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One day, in a club, while Beckett was once again touch-feely with the woman he brought there, a guy from work hits on Gia and when he sees them a bit close to each other, he goes and cock-blocks her. Or was it clam jam? Yes, that's what it is called, I guess. Whatever. She wasn’t going to accept the guy’s moves anyway, he had been asking for a date for years and she had been saying “No” for years.
Gia drinks a lot that night because every day, it becomes harder to see Beckett with a woman he is so touchy-feely with. It doesn’t matter the woman is a different one each time, she wants to be the one. She drinks so much that she becomes sick in the club’s toilet and Beckett offers to take her home. Gia’s friend Darya (Book 4’s heroine) tells Beckett to look more carefully when Gia is involved and at first he doesn’t understand what she means but at home, he does. While she is out of it, she talks freely with no inhibitions and he takes advantage of the situation and asks her questions about who she really wants and she confesses that she wants him.
THAT MOMENT changes everything and Beckett transforms from being “the guy who has never even asked or tried to learn about Gia’s feelings in the 3 years they have known each other” to a completely different person - “a man possessed with the idea of owning Gia”.
WTF?!?! Really? WTF???!

Gia is a strong heroine who is trying to make a name in an industry ruled by men. She is stubborn, fierce, sassy and loyal. Although it seemed that she had a nice family, actually, they were far from being loving or supporting parents. They never wanted her to work in a security job. They wanted her to marry the son of their neighbor and become the model housewife like her mother (who is constantly being cheated on by the as*hole of a father of hers). And this neighbor’s son happens to be the one, the co-worker, who was hitting on her in the club.

When Gia wakes up from her drunken night, she finds a different Beckett – one who is hell-bent on making her say yes to a relationship with him. She doesn’t understand or trust him at the beginning so she is reluctant a bit but Beckett is a new guy who says he will do everything possible to make her say yes.
WHY THE F*CK DID YOU WAIT FOR 3 YEARS THEN? You could have done the same relentless pursuing from the very beginning!
You see, I hate it when a guy is attracted to a woman but doesn't make a move for 3 long years and she has to watch the countless women he hooks up with. That is one of my pet peeves. Therefore this kind of “friends-to-lovers” books are not for me. When the guy makes his move this late, I never believe his feelings.
And to make it even worse, the reason why Beckett decides to make his move is because he learns she is attracted to him. Oh God, bad getting worse!
Did it have to be her drunk-confession that starts everything?
What a shitty beginning to a love story!

Meanwhile, as soon as they start this relationship, there is of course a situation where he needs to protect her. There is this person who wants to sabotage her work and with the help of Haven Brothers, this problem is solved efficiently.
However, it was a really boring and weak suspense plot as I knew who he was from the very beginning but had to wait for them until they discover who was doing these things to ruin her career. Well, yawn!
So as I said, Beckett waits for 3 years without making a move and when he decides to make his move, he is this possessive, obsessive and madly-in love guy. Unbelieavable!
She is in his house and bed on Day 2. They decide to go bare, promising exclusivity and a forever to each other on Day 5, the suspense is solved in a few weeks, and bippity boppity boo, they are engaged and she is a part of the Haven Family!

The only thing interesting in this book was the hero’s condition: Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). I had never heard about it before and it explained why he was always touchy feely with his “one-night-stand / no-strings attached” hook-ups. He needs to touch someone or something soft or he needs to release his pent-up feelings or aggravation in a wrestling match or something like that.
“No touch for a long time makes me bat-shit crazy. Like someone’s piping electricity under my skin. Gets worse when I’m agitated about something. But I’ve figured out ways to deal. Soft stuff. Massages. Wrestling.”

Unlike some readers, I have no problems with man-wh*re heroes. If they stop f*cking their way around the city when they meet our heroine, they are OK for me. But I am OK with it as long as the heroine is not a virgin or a very inexperienced woman.
I also don’t have any problems reading about a sex scene with OW/OM. As long as it is before they meet the hero/heroine. Well, of course, I do not prefer to read those scenes but I would never DNF the book or rate it low because of those scenes.
What I have a problem with is when they ignore their feelings for someone and go f*ck other people and then, years and years pass until they decide to try it with that person… That – I have a problem with!
I would always take a tamed playboy to a man who doesn’t act on his feelings. That’s why this book didn’t work for me.
In my review, I have tried to be crystal clear about why this book didn't work for me, I have tried to explain all my feelings about the situation so that you can be sure if it bothers you or not because I know everyone has their own pet peeves.
What some readers avoid may not bother me and what I hate may not bother some readers, so it’s here all open and as honest as possible… You make your own decision to read it or not.

Unlike some readers, I have no problems with man-wh*re heroes. If they stop f*cking their way around the city when they meet our heroine, they are OK for me. But I am OK with it as long as the heroine is not a virgin or a very inexperienced woman.
I also don’t have any problems reading about a sex scene with OW/OM. As long as it is before they meet the hero/heroine. Well, of course, I do not prefer to read those scenes but I would never DNF the book or rate it low because of those scenes.
What I have a problem with is when they ignore their feelings for someone and go f*ck other people and then, years and years pass until they decide to try it with that person… That – I have a problem with!
I would always take a tamed playboy to a man who doesn’t act on his feelings. That’s why this book didn’t work for me.
In my review, I have tried to be crystal clear about why this book didn't work for me, I have tried to explain all my feelings about the situation so that you can be sure if it bothers you or not because I know everyone has their own pet peeves.
What some readers avoid may not bother me and what I hate may not bother some readers, so it’s here all open and as honest as possible… You make your own decision to read it or not.

Seriously, I must have been away on some mental vacation because this is the first experience I have had with the Men of Haven. This is a group of men who per their own words:
"Live hard, f*ck harder and make their own rules. They take what they want, always watching each other’s backs and loving the women they claim with unyielding tenderness"
Now this series follows these men who are involved together, working with security situations... covering all forms. They have the history of military and the understanding each is part of this family unit they created, bonded and held dear. Once you were part of this group, you were "In Like Flynn"...meaning no matter what the situation, they have each others back.
This tale has one of the men, Beckett finally make his move and approach Gia, a woman who has worked on past security/rescue situations in the past. She is a woman who has cut a difficult path for herself in the personal security business. She has had to deal with men who would undercut her authority on jobs, men who would dismiss her abilities and men who wanted only to use her.
Gia was having nothing of it. She had worked hard fighting the image of a Barbie Doll. She was Southern, came from a powerful rich family which wanted her to "be have, settle down and marry well." Gia said, Hell No to that, moved away and never looked back.
However, there was looking at Beckett whenever they were working or hanging out together. She thought she had been doing it under the radar...but you see, Beckett was looking at her as well. When both of them ended up at a Happy Hour get together, the heightened awareness goes through the roof when another man who had worked with all of them leaned up to Gia at the bar and she wasn't into it. Beckett was not having it and made sure he left her alone.
Gia was not please with Beckett's intervention and let him know she would have handled it her self. She proceeded to hang with one of the women and got soundly smashed. Beckett promised the girlfriend to take care of Gia and brought her back to her condo.
As Beckett made sure Gia was safe, wrapped up in the quilt on her bed, he heard her mumbling how she thought the soft touching Beckett gave to sooth her to sleep was a dream. She shared her feelings for him and this allowed Beckett to know she felt the same about him as he felt for her.
This was a game changer. Beckett filed all that away and when she woke, Beckett was still there, dressed as he was and willing to take care of her hangover. Gia was hesitant and made sure nothing had happened. Beckett laughed, letting her know if something had happened, she would totally know about it.
These two each have their own dilemmas and challenges when they think about relationships. Yet, when Beckett shows Gia how sincere he is and how committed in showing her he respects who she is, her abilities and career business savvy... those walls begin to crumble.
And Oh My, the way Beckett cherishes Gia...He shows her how a man can love a woman... slow, fast, soft, tender, rough and hard. This is man who is able to give as well as take and during all of it, he allows Gia to feel safe...free. There is nothing more sexy then being able to let go and just feel.
This series is laced with suspense and the working of relationships... all sorts. These Men of Haven have met many of their own women and with each new person, they learn what a gift it is to be included.
Can you tell I loved this book. Again, Beckett is mine....Just sayin'

We are getting closer to the end of this series and it'll be bittersweet to say goodbye to these alphas of the Men of Haven series. In Stand & Deliver Rhenna Morgan takes us on Beckett and Gia's journey.
To say Beckett is intense is an understatement, his intensity levels are off the charts. He has never had a real family until he met the brothers of Haven. For the first time he can rely on having people watching his back. His mom left him when he was a toddler, abandonment issues come with the territory. Beckett is possessive, protective and his need for touch adds to his fierceness. He has been watching Gia from afar for a long time. They've been friends, co-workers, but he never knew that she felt the same way as he did...until one drunken night.
"I like who you are. You’re smart. You’re tough. You don’t take my shit. I’ve got height and weight on you and you still aren’t afraid of me.
On the outside Gia might be a bad match for him. She's a security woman and being female in a male dominated profession she has always had to work twice as hard as any man. This has made her into a very controlled woman who takes her work more than seriously. There is nothing soft about Gia at first glance. Secretly she's had a crush on Beckett for years but mixing business and pleasure? Especially since he shows up with a different arm-candy on a regular basis? Nope. Not a great idea. But after a night of booze Beckett's persistent courting gets under her skin and fast.
Aaaah! I loved these two together. The one thing that sets Beck apart from the other men is how seriously HE takes Gia's position in their professional world. I loved how he supported her, respected her and how passionately he had her back and bolstered her confidence. His acceptance of her, how he loved her quirks and spitfire personality, it all added to the full package that was Beckett.
Gia was controlled and giving that up in any aspect of her life took herculean effort but this wonderful, stubborn man coaxed her out of her shell and soon she learned how freeing it could be. I loved Gia's warmth which was unexpected seeing how tightly leashed she kept her control. When she stood up for Beckett, the ferocious protectiveness of her man was just beautiful to watch. Gia was a badass.
Their chemistry was explosive and, gaaaahd, Beckett was a beast. I loved their banter, how devoted they were. Beck's single-minded pursuit of Gia left no doubt that she was it for him.
This book like no other in this series underscores the fact that blood doesn't make a family. Gia's is a stark contrast to the tight bonds of Beckett's. The love that runs in this family by choice is fierce. I love the brothers' ribbing, how the women soften their edges but don't take the away completely. Now we have one more book left in this series and it's the one I've been waiting for since the beginning. Axel is the man-ho of the lot. Nobody can really see him settling down with one woman but in Stand & Deliver there is a foreboding, a little crack in his facade that has him riled a little. You bet I wanna see him getting his panties in a twist for a woman!

5 - "...Your days of dreaming are over." Stars!
I am a little late to the party with this series, with book five; Stand & Deliver (but my first) of the Men of Haven series giving us Beckett Tate and Gia Sinclair’s story.
This was one of those books you pick up and ooopsie, the next time you check it’s well past your bedtime and you have been reading for hours. I got absorbed into this story, where two dominant take charge types to those around them, learn together to let those walls down with each other. Both of them have their own unique reasons for being the way they are, and I loved the way they worked through everything with each other as the book progressed.
"No bullshit… Not with me. Not between the two of us. Not ever again."
A drunken slip from Gia, literally makes all Beckett’s dreams come true when he realizes that the attraction he has had for her for the last few years isn’t as one sided as he believed. And after that all bets are off in his mind, and the chase is on. Gia is a little gun-shy with men, and a relationship with one who works in the same field of security and protection as she does, flags up concern about her professional respectability initially, but Beck isn’t one to be put off easily, and oh my wow, his pursuit of her was adorably swoony with a large side of alpha thrown in and I loved every second of it.
"A man like me doesn’t get a taste of a woman like you and walk away without exploring more…"
Beckett however is a man with his own insecurities and vulnerabilities, and I think it was the fact he was prepared to put it all out there for Gia and the way he did it that made me fall in love with him even more, he may be an alpha character but for Gia his heart was on show for everyone too see.
She knew him. Accepted all that he was. His high-handed bullshit. His need to dominate and protect her. His fucked-up disorder…
...And she loved him anyway.
You get a decent line of suspense thrown in as well (although it was pretty obvious who the culprit was), and for me the introduction to the Haven family in general just made me desperate to read the previous books in the series, and hopeful that there will be more to come in the future.

Stand & Deliver only managed to have 3 stars from me. So far I only like 1 book in this series. The rest is just so so. Stand and Deliver is more office romance trope with a very insecure heroine. I do wish Miss Morgan invested more into the plot of broken hero.
Stand & Deliver is lukewarm. The banter, the conversation, the characters development, even the bromance seems flat. Really flat. Bordering boring. And Miss Morgan takes her time explaining every detail in her story. Every detail that sometimes has nothing to do with the story.
Anyway... moving on...

Rhenna Morgan is killing it with this series! I love these men of Haven. They are a good mix of dominant, alpha men but also sweet and protective. They take very good care of their women and their momma's. They have a sense of honor that they uphold even if it means breaking a few laws to protect the people they love.
In Stand & Deliver we get Beckett and Gia's story. We've seen Gia in earlier books when she helped out the group in tight situations. She already knows what kind of men Beckett and his brothers are so that isn't the hurdle Beckett needs to jump like his brothers had to with their women. Once Beckett realized he has a chance with Gia, his hurdle was getting her to see that she can still be the strong independent woman and still be able to lean on Beckett.
I loved beckett and how he handled Gia. Their relationship was fun to read about despite that independence of Gia. The author did a great job of keeping Gia true to herself but also being able to let Beckett in as a protector. I’m not sure I can fall more in love with the Men of Haven than I have with Beckett in Stand & Deliver. This book is everything I love when reading. And Beckett. Oh my gawd! I love Beckett!
Gia and Beckett have known each other for a few years now as they have worked together off and on. She’s protective of her reputation being a woman in a male dominated field. Therefore, she’s pretty much ignored the feelings she experiences when he’s near. Or at least she’s tried to. Until one drunken confession opens the door to an opportunity she could never have imagined.
Beckett has had his eye on Gia since day one. But she’s quick to shut every man down that even hints at more and he’s pretty sure that would include him. It doesn’t stop him from wanting her, watching her and taking into account all of her likes and dislikes along the way. On a night that she’s drunk out of her mind, Beckett jumps on the chance to escort her home. What he learns that night is exactly what he has dreamed of. Now all he has to do is go slow and teach her to trust him.
I absolutely loved everything about this couple. Sometimes a tough heroine can grate on my nerves but Gia was mature enough to slowly let go of the reins and allow Beckett to have her back. The fact that Beckett proved he could step aside and let her lead made that decision easier.
Together, they both had their issues and it was together that they found a way to deal with them. Each of them supplied the outlet and support for the other, strengthening their relationship along the way. This was probably one of the most organic and beautifully written progressions into love I’ve read in a long time. When these two came together sexually it was not your typical “place A in slot B” scenes. Each time increased the trust and emotions between these characters. The scenes added to the overall story rather than act as a filler or something that readers expected. That made this book just that much more enjoyable!
All the characters from the series play a part in this story and added to the growth of the heroine as she moves from a place of isolation into one of family. No unnecessary secondary characters here. There was never a lag in the story and no point at which I felt the need to skim. I wanted to absorb every wonderful word this author had written. In case I haven’t made myself clear…I LOVED Beckett, Gia, and Stand & Deliver!

Stand and Deliver is a sexy and exciting hero in pursuit story (my favorite!) with two strong characters who have been fighting their attraction to each other - but no longer. Beckett Tate has decided it's time he makes his feelings known to fellow security expert Gia Sinclair. He wants her to be part of his inner circle, the members of Haven who are family and friends and their partners. It's an elite group that doesn't mind skirting the law to keep their clients and family safe. Gia doesn't have that kind of support in her life and it's an addictive idea to be wanted and needed, and to know someone has her back. Plus, Beckett gives her the freedom to let go of control in the bedroom, the one place she can relinquish the tight control she has on the rest of her life. Their love scenes are hot and steamy and it was great to see Gia connect with Beckett and the important people in his life.

PERFECTION!!! I can't tell you how much I love this series. This group of men, their women, their mothers even! I think about them often in between books, like they're actual acquaintances I need to check up on to see how they're doing, if there's any new gossip. I wish Ms. Morgan posted little snippets or deleted scenes, so that I can get my Haven fix regularly instead of waiting months.
But about this book... Like I said perfection. Loved Gia. Strong chick, good head on her shoulders and independent af. Loved Beckett. That cover alone was worth the price! Nothing much to add here still liked this one....though them knowing each other for 3 years,wanting each other but not thinking it'd happen while Beck continued to date did give me a side eye twitch. Thankfully for Tequila they got on board pretty early!
Well now......originally for some reason Beckett wasn't really on my radar in this series, I loved Knox and Jace but then having read Rhenna Morgan's books I should've expected Beckett to knock it out of the park! What a fantastic ride this turned out to be. Again Rhenna Morgan gives good alpha,a hero from the moment he was in.... he was alllll in and what more can we ask of an alpha hero. Gia was a badass in her own right who knew when to be stubborn and when to give in. This was another exciting,sexy and interesting addition to the Men of Haven series that definitely made it to my favourites shelf. I loved the action, I loved the suspense, I loved the mcs, I loved seeing old favourites again I loved every word of This and I've really got my fingers crossed that there are more Men of Haven soon!
Well now......originally for some reason Beckett wasn't really on my radar in this series, I loved Knox and Jace but then having read Rhenna Morgan's books I should've expected Beckett to knock it out of the park! What a fantastic ride this turned out to be. Again Rhenna Morgan gives good alpha,a hero from the moment he was in.... he was alllll in and what more can we ask of an alpha hero. Gia was a badass in her own right who knew when to be stubborn and when to give in. This was another exciting,sexy and interesting addition to the Men of Haven series that definitely made it to my favourites shelf. I loved the action, I loved the suspense, I loved the mcs, I loved seeing old favourites again I loved every word of This and I've really got my fingers crossed that there are more Men of Haven soon!

My favourite book in the series, I can see myself re-reading this.
Enjoyed both main characters, Beckett and Gia are fab and well matched. Their interactions and chemistry as well as the book overall kept me engaged until then end.

I devoured this, just like I have every other book in this series. Rhenna Morgan manages to push every romance button I have with this group of alpha males but it's also more.
The characters are stellar, with pushy alpha males who believe in protecting their women but miraculously manage to this without being assholes. The women are strong and capable, well able to take care of themselves and their men never try to treat them as if this isn't so.
The chemistry here was as sizzling as you could want it to be, as it always is. I loved Beckett and Gia, I loved their verbal sparring with each other as much as the way they supported each other.
The plot was exciting and tense and maddening, as this time there was no doubt to me who was behind everything, and I wanted nothing more than to see this person get theirs, as I know they would.
Most of all though, I love the family of the Haven Brotherhood, everyone always standing with the others, no matter what they need, unquestioning. All they need to know is one of them needs a hand.

But in partnering up both romantically and professionally, they complement each other perfectly.
Beck’s extended family, his brothers, their wives and moms are wonderful supporting characters. They’re warm, welcoming and very protective of their own. I loved how they welcomed Gia into their fold. It could have been too much, but for someone who had never really known what a real family was all about, it was just right for her.
Beck and Gia were an incredible couple. I got lost in their sweet and sexy romance that made me swoon. This is my first Rhenna Morgan book, but it certainly won’t be the last. I look forward to her next installment.

I didn’t think it was possible.
I didn’t.
I didn’t think that any book coming after Tempted & Taken could best it, or at least push it to the side so that it could share the same spot.
But I was wrong.
I’m woman enough to admit that Ms. Morgan did just that, not only with Stand & Deliver as a whole, but with Beckett & Gia making Knox & Darya scootch over a bit so they can share the top spot as my favorite couples of the series. Because they were kinda everything, just like the book as a whole was. It was filled with sweet and swoon worthy, lots and lots of smexy, a good dose of suspense and a whole bunch of heart.
Gia I LOVED upon first meeting her a few books ago. Fierce, independent, sassy and with a good dose of snark. This woman holds her own in a world where being a woman is difficult. But she hustles and loves what she does. But getting to see behind the armour she wears just solidified why I adore her.
Beckett is simply all kinds of alpha AF nummyness. Protective, observant and all kinds of dominant (but only in the best of ways). I’ll admit I didn’t expect to adore him as much as I ended up adoring him, but his honor and honesty were just as much a drug as his tenacity when he picked a target.
I thoroughly enjoyed Gia and Beckett’s journey to their HEA. It had it’s bumps in the road as they worked out and through their issues, but they did it as mature adults. The mutual respect they had for each other and how much they truly appreciated every facet of the others personalities made this a fun read...and the smexy? Nuclear. But how couldn’t it be when two alpha personalities collide? In the end though, they fit.
I know I shouldn’t be surprised that I loved and devoured this baby, but one never knows, especially when the last book you read in the series knocked your socks off. The suspense aspect was very well done, though I did figure out at least the ‘who’ behind it all, but finding out all that went into the crazy? Now that was an experience. And then there are the members of Haven. This one, for me, really showcased the bonds each of the crew have with each other and brought that family vibe out in spades. I say it every time, but Ninette and Sylvie are AMAZING, I want to be them when I grow up. And I loved hanging with with all the men, women and kids of Haven and most definitely cannot wait to get my hands on Axel’s book!

Stand & Deliver is the fourth installment of Rhenna Morgan's steamy Men of Haven series, that features a close-knit group of alpha males who have created their own family, regardless of blood ties. While this story could probably be read as a standalone, I do not recommend it. You will want all the mouthwatering details from the beginning, so start with Jace's story in Rough & Tumble to get the scoop on how this brotherhood started.
Our hero in this story is Beckett Tate, a tall dark and handsome security expert. As this series has progressed, I was never that focused on Beckett. I suppose I am just to focused on Axel. Although I am still calling dibs on our sexy Scot, I definitely discovered Beckett's appeal and probably wouldn't kick him outta bed for eatin' crackers. I was also intrigued by Beckett's sensory processing disorder, which made him extremely tactile. While I hated that he had to deal with a disorder, there were certainly times where he made lemonade from those lemons... or revved up his woman with his need to be hands on. I loved that Beckett was supportive, and respectful... but he also wasn't afraid to take control when the situation called for it. He was just as yummy as the other brothers have been.
Our heroine is not new to the series, but we are getting to know Gia Sinclair in depth for the first time. As a woman operating in the male-dominated security business, Gia feels like she has to prove herself at every turn. She can't let down her guard down or appear soft in any manner... until Beckett comes around and shows her a safe space. I really liked Gia. She was capable, ambitious and determined - all great qualities in a heroine. But I especially liked who she was with Beckett, when she let those walls down and relaxed into her true self. But hoo boy - her family just has to go. Her dad is ridiculously pretentious and horrid. I'm glad she was his complete opposite.
The relationship building in this story was mixed with a little suspense, but nothing over the top. I thought the suspense and romantic elements were mixed well, without one overpowering the other. That gave us time to get to know Gia and Beckett, and see them bond as a couple. But the sabotage to Gia's career helped advance the plot and keep our eyes moving around the page.
I was reading this as I was on work travel, and I kept getting aggravated that I had to put it down and pick it up days later. So inconvenient - working. Sigh. I think when Axel's book comes out, I'm going to have to take vacation. If I have loved all the heroes so much thus far... I think Axel's gonna knock my socks off!

Once again a fantastic story by this author. I love the premise of the Brotherhood and each book just keeps getting better!
I appreciate how the author is able to bring not only the romance to the story, but a bit of suspense and usually some insight on the human condition. It makes her characters more vulnerable and believable. Of course, the steam factor is through the roof and the love shared between this "family" of brothers is amazing.
I can't wait to read more! Looking forward to the hot Scot for sure! Great book!

Oh. My. Goodness!!! I seriously can't get enough of these Men of Haven. I mean. These guys are panties drippin' hot and I have a feeling there will be more to this series. Which just makes me more excited. But I digress.

Besides the fact that her relationship with her father isn't exactly picture perfect, the thing that's been making her tick has been Beckett. One of Men of Haven, co-workers and staring role in her dreams, she can't seem to get him off the brain. So when she gets a little too drunk for her own good and ends up letting her guard down enough to admit things, Beckett sees the window he never thought was open.
Beckett is the playboy of the brothers, right? Eh...not so much. Looks can always be deceiving. What's the term? Perception is everything. Well, that seems to be Beckett's theme. Because despite the fact that he's been seen with many women, there's only been one that's been on his permanent radar. And now that his eyes are wide open and truly looking, there's no way he's gonna let her slip through the cracks.
Have I mentioned how much I love these guys? I swoon just thinking about them. Ms. Morgan has done it again with her sexy, suspenseful and every loving contemporary romance. To say that these two character weren't meant for each other is ludicrous. The literally fit together like a glove. A bullet to the perfect glock, so to speak. The physical chemistry is outstanding, but the story chemistry is what I found to be perfect. I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!

No, I haven't read the first four books in this series. Is anyone shocked by that? I didn't think so. Loving these Haven boys. I wish I had read the first four just so I would know all the back story on them. And low and behold after checking my kindle, guess what? I already own books 1, 2, 3 and 4. Any bets on what I'm reading next.
Anyway back to Beckett and Gia. Somebody bring out a hose to cool these two off. They were amazing together in every way...working together, with his family, in the bedroom, and with her sh*t family. I had a student with SPD but it was not as severe as Beckett's. I loved how in tune she was to him and helping with this. Of course, there was a nasty ex and bad guy to take care of in process of falling in love.

Great story with not only a sweet romance but also a little mystery and suspense that will keep you turning the pages. This novel features Beckett and Gia both with stubborn ways that will keep the reader shaking there heads and saying not again! Believe me these two go so well utterly together! This is the fifth brother[Beckett] in the 'Men of Haven' series where we find Becket and Gia finally getting together. However, this author really knows how to bring out the unexpected giving the reader a lots of depth in creating for us such a well written story. I really liked how the SPD [Sensory Processing Disorder] was incorporated into this story. I was able to learn something from what SPD was in the way it was presented in this story. If you are looking for a good read "Stand & Deliver" will give the reader a story that is enriched with a little bit of it all from 'emotion, vulnerability, love, friendship, family, intensity, humorous, loyal, heart and passion' all of this will definitely keep your attention through this incredible good read. So, is there another read left in this Men of Haven Series? Yes, Axel's story!

Beck has had it hot for Gia for a while now, he knows she doesn’t mix business with pleasure, so he’s kept it to himself and watched and waited. Then one night she drunkenly admits to wanting him, Beck is elated and ready, but he wants her sober and ready to take a chance on a relationship and love.
Beck is a wonderful character, very sensitive, and Gia is used to being in control of her life and even has physical strengths to prove it, and was happy to let Beck take control of there loving. But allowing him and the guys to take care of her was hard for her to take at times.
An enjoyable story, with well developed characters. Their romance develops while they deal with personal issues, Beck has SPD and Gia’s family is awful. They made a great team, professionally, and as lovers. A well written story, highly entertaining. I’m looking forward to the next book in this GREAT series!

Every single book in this series is so good I can’t believer everyone hasn’t read them yet! I love the way Rhenna Morgan has developed the brotherhood and grown the characters. I can’t wait for Axels story, and I’m hoping the publisher wants more books in this world so we can get Danny and Ivan too.

I was so excited to be able to have a chance to grab up Rhenna Morgan's new contemporary....Stand and Deliver. I can tell you that I have been so eager for Beckett and Gia's story. They are both strong willed and stubborn so they definitely have met each other's match.
The story begins with Gia finding herself frustrated with the world that she works in. She runs a security company and too many times she is overlooked because she is a woman. And boy can she kick some booty!! I loved her spirit and determination to succeed. She has struggled internally with not meeting up with her parent's expecations from her. But she is living her dream and makes no apologies for it. Beckett is a member of the Men of Haven and is a security expert and at times Beckett tends to clash verbally with Gia not wanting to admit his true feelings that he has had for her for YEARS. But now, after a night of seeing Gia drunk and taking her home, and seeing a different side to her....a woman that is soft and sweet, he sees the woman beneath the tough exterior she exudes because of her career. And now Beckett knows that now is the time to claim her and court her as she deserves and show her that there is a man out there that will accept and love her as she is.
This was such a lovely romance, it is a bit angsty in the beginning, but after we see the moment of Gia lowering her guard, their relationship changes slowly. Of course, Gia doesn't understand why Beckett is being all sexy and charming toward her and she has never been pursued in the way that he is pursuing her so it brings Gia a bit off balance. She can easily reject men because they always want to "change" her. However, Beckett is the first man she has ever been attracted to that wants her for herself and loves to spar and push her limits.
I found so much fun in this story and the banter between Beckett and Gia was simply amazing. So endearing and witty and swoon worthy. They were such a fun couple, and their dynamics fit just right for their individual personalities. And we get some fun times with the Haven club and reading this story makes me want to re read the earlier books in the series since I love all of these characters that Rhenna has written.
This is such a solid romance and Rhenna Morgan did a superb job in the writing of it....I never can get enough of her books, and her writing is so engaging, I had to make sure I had plenty of free time to read this one and I BREEZED through it in one sitting. If you love endearing characters that can kick ass, with some mystery and intrigue and a family of characters that have created a brotherhood....with some sexy moments that will make you swoon and laugh when you least expect it.

Another fabulous 5 star read from Rhenna. I love these Haven men! Their women and the moms included.
Beckett, oh what a piece of man candy this guy is. Gia is running a little late the their backroom bar meeting and never to take any crap from any of them, after a long day, she wants a glass of wine.
Her usual is scotch, sick of the guys picking at her, she orders a beer. Sitting at the table when Beckett arrives with yet another in his line of women, he makes eye contact with Gia. This is their usual. Gia doesn't have time for Beckett and his 3 year long show down. Beckett doesn't see Gia, never noticed, never really talked to, she's wearing her invisible cloak. Not so with the other guys who do have a healthy respect for her and what she's capable of. She's got her own business to run and crosses paths and works with the men from Haven. She's friends with Darya who we met in a previous book. Gia is likable and tough, she's smart and almost too smart for her own good some days. When she goes to the bar to order herself a drink an old acquaintance squeezes in beside her and tries once again to entice her into a date. They grew up together. Their homes shared a fence.
Their parents are still conspiring to matchmake in the very possible worst of ways them together.
Gia has zero interest in Judd and makes it perfectly clear to him. When he slides his hand to her hip, Beckett is there suddenly telling him to back off. Judd mumbles some trash and stalks off. Beckett has left his date at the table and talking to Gia. Gia is pounding down shots now, trying to match the biker sitting next to her. A very drunk Gia is helped in the bathroom by Darya, with Beckett standing guard. The guys are waiting and time to get Gia home, Beckett is it. He doesn't want to leave her, so in the polite way manages to coax her into her sleepwear and tuck her in. He stays with her all night.
All the while Beckett is stroking and touching her or his super soft t shirts. You notice he tendency to touch during the book. It appears to be a unconscious act but it's something he needs. Gia also makes a drunk confession to Beck before she passes out for the night. He's now determined to find out how much is true. And Beck is just hot and makes your insides melt into a pile of goo.
Thus begins the story of Beck and Gia and also the mystery of who is out to sabotage her and her business. Since Beck claimed her at a family meeting without her even knowing she falls under the protection of the brotherhood. Gia left Atlanta for Dallas with good reason. Get away from her controlling, overbearing and disapproving father and her spineless weak mother. Their marriage was a joke to Gia and has kept Gia on the fly never wanting to end up like her mother. Controlling keeps her from becoming that. What she learns with Beck is trust and giving up some of her control.
There's so much more to this story as it weaves on and Gia learns to cook from Sylvie, tangles with her father and is accepted into the family with open arms. Something she's never had. The twists and turns keep coming and it was one of those "didn't see that coming" but you had a feel for the bad guy.
The story is unpredictable as hell and I loved that. You had to keep reading because you were waiting for whatever was going to happen to actually happen. Then wow did it. Talk about playing dirty.
I'm not saying another word about the story other than it was fantastic and I'd read it again. I loved Beck and Gia and am dying to know what's up with Axel!!

Beckett and Gia have had the hots for each other for a few years, but they’ve never acted on their attraction. Until a slip of the lips in a drunken haze cues Beckett into Gia’s true feelings...
Gia was a spitfire with a chip on her shoulder and oh my lands, did she have sass! A career in security constantly defending her abilities caused Gia to have a tendency to be an overachiever- the backfire was she never cut back and let loose. Until Beckett provided a safe haven. Gia’s cloak of defensiveness and tough attitude hid a rather sweet and protective personality I could relate to and made her easy to like.
Beckett had the grace and charm of a panther. Sleek and silent, he pounced out of nowhere with his slightly bossy nature, taking Gia by surprise with his deviously simple plan to sway her into a relationship. It was actually sweetly amusing and intelligently thought out, but his bigger attraction was his vulnerable openness with his sensory processing issues. His tangible need to touch and be touched was handled gracefully and informatively and I personally enjoyed the spin it put on Beckett’s character.
There’s so much happening in this book! The gang comes out enforce to help one of their own, Beckett and Gia’s sizzling connection paces the way for a great romance, and with a twisty bit of suspense...well, I’ll just say Beckett and Gia’s story had all the elements I’ve come to love with this series!

The fifth brother in the Men Of Haven series to get his story, Beckett, works in the security business. A contractor who works with his business Gia, a feisty, badass, southern women is the heroine of this story. Knowing the background of these two and having had glimpses of Gia and Beckett in Knox’s story I “thought” I knew what to expect with this story. Except I should learn when Rhenna is behind the keyboard to expect the unexpected! The depth and creativity of this story was so much more in so many ways. How she incorporated things like SPD, her knowledge around autos, and the Broad spectrum of the Haven world wove a beautiful story!
The story begins and we learn off the bat that during the three years these two have known each other a mutual attraction has simmered below the surface. Several tequila shots later, a little liquid courage has the two of them admitting it out loud for the first times. Not wanting to give in immediately Gia throws that sass around and makes Beckett work for it. The story progresses and we learn of potential threats as Gia try’s to land a high profile job. There is no way on gods green earth Beckett and his brothers would let Gia deal with this on her own.
This story was simply unputdownable, and I read it from start to finish in one sitting and have read it twice more since! It burned hot and loud, the heat was the perfect amount and it was an ending I didn’t see coming.
