How far will Rhea go to escape Earth? Mate a big, bad (in the best ways), and occasionally green alien.
Rhea is leaving Earth and nothing will stop her. Not her controlling governor father, her asshole ex-fiancé, or the Department of Population who want to impregnate her. Which is why she contacts the one organization out of their reach—Celestial Mates. A questionnaire and blood sample later and Rhea is matched to a hunky, deliciously tempting, and alluring alien.
Erudan—once known as Teon, brother to the High Warlord of Vialea—did not register with Celestial Mates. Or rather, he’d never submitted his application. Yet a curvaceous, dark haired, green eyed human stands before him and demands they mate. Immediately. He lost his honor long ago and doesn’t deserve a female like the seductive Rhea, but that does not stop the wanting.
Unfortunately, others from Earth want her returned and Erudan is happy to show them the error of their ways. No one challenges a Vian warrior… and lives.
Going Green is book two in Vialea and book twenty-nine in the Celestial Mates series by Erin Tate aka Celia Kyle.
Each book in the Celestial Mates series can be read as a stand-alone. I picked this one up; because the blurb sounded nice and I’ve read and enjoyed other books by this author.
We jump right in and their is no true introduction to the series or characters. From what I picked up we continue the story that started in book one of the Vialea series and move onto the Prince who is the twin to brother to the King. Something happened in book one and now he doesn’t feel worthy of love nor does he feel he deserves a mate. As for the mate, Rhea, she’s on the run from her controlling governor father and her ex-finance which is why she signed up for the Celestial Mates. With a mate she won’t be forced to be in a loveless marriage and can find love, even if it’s not right off the bat.
This story is an easy and light read. There is no real depth to any of the characters. The mating is quick. The conflict is quickly and neatly resolved. And, the world building it’s minimal. Their just wasn’t much in this story to fall for.
Going Green was an acceptable read, but didn’t offer much. Not my favorite by this author.
A solid 3.0 read. The aliens in this series turn green when aroused, but are not much different from humans other wise.
Fun light alien read. This one continues the story of the Prince twin brother to the King as he meets his mate. He doesn't feel worthy of her love due to his actions in book one, Not So Little Green Man.
Finally the brother's story. I act like I wait forever for it but I really didn't since I read them back-to-back. They were published over a year of each other but that's the great part of always being behind, you often don't have to wait for the next book coming out.
After how Erudan acted towards his brother's mate you aren't sure what you think of him. The funny part is that in his own book he's very different. I really liked him. He had a black cloud over his head that he carried around for all the wrong reasons.
Poor Rhea start of a new life doesn't start out that great. She loses her belonging and is almost attacked. The worse part is that the mate she couldn't wait to meet wasn't there to meet her. Thankfully for her, he does show up but nothing goes as planned.
You'll enjoy these two together. He's there to stand against her father for her and she's there to help him get back with his family. They work perfectly. I liked that he went and made up with his brother and was forgiven. Such a fun read that I really enjoy.
This is an easy and light read. There is not real depth to any of the characters. All conflict is quickly and neatly resolved (which is something I typically do not like).
World building is minimal and character development is minimal.
If you’re looking for a quick pick me up...this is it. But, it really is all fluff and sweet like candy.
I absolutely loved this book. Celia Kyle has such a creative imagination, that manages to draw the reader into the world she has created. The story was both intriguing and captivating, and filled with tension, drama and sexual chemistry. It was well balanced storyline that flowed smoothly from beginning to end. The characters were awesome, I loved Erudan and Rhea. They had an undeniable connection and the chemistry between them was energetic and intense. My only grumble is their first sexual encounter, I think if she was a virgin their should have been certain mentions of it during their mating. Otherwise this book was pretty much perfect for me. A very enjoyable and entertaining read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I don't know, I kind of liked it, but I was also kind of meh about it. I picked it up because I remembered reading the first one (vaguely), and I figured why not?
The story is about human women fleeing because they're essentially going all Handmaid's Tale on Earth, so they sign up with Celestial Dating service and get hooked up with a mate. Crackilicious fun, right? Well, I was left in the same place I was with the first book. I wanted more of ...I don't know, something (plot, humor, general detail, sex) and it just kind of peters out at the end. Not sure about this series, but since alien sci-fi roms are my personal crack, I'll probably pick up the next one. #addicted #sorrynotsorry
Rhea is the daughter of an important politician on Earth who thought she was going to get married, have children and live happily ever after. Then she finds out that her fiancee doesn't really want her but he does want her father's money and influence. Rhea breaks off the engagement but finds herself on the run from the Department of Population. She is about at the age where unmarried females are forced to bear babies for their planet and have them taken away to give to other families. Not wanting a life of forced bearing she arrages a match through Celestial Mates and finds herself on the way to Vialea and her mate to be Erudan. When she is dropped off at the space port, she finds no mate waiting for her and someone steals her bags. She chases the thief and ends up lost in a bad part of town. She is about to be attacked by a beast man when a sexy warrior rescues her. Erudan was once the Teon or second in command for the planet but he stepped down after he felt he dishonored himself and his family. He believed that his brother's Celestial Mates' match was his true match and tried to steal her from his brother. Now he patrols the city on his planet trying to live honorably again. When he hears that an Earth female is about to be attacked by the beast man, he runs to the rescue. When he scolds Rhea for going around unescorted by her male, he is shocked to find out she is his Celestial Mates match which really confuses him since he didn't finish filling out the paperwork. Erudan is drawn to Rhea and he is afraid that she really is his perfect match because he feels he is no longer worthy of a mate. He is determined to send her back until he hears her story. Somehow for Rhea's own good, he is going to have to ignore his own desire for her and hope to free her before he is forced to give in to his annual time of need. Problem is being near his destined mate is bringing on his heat early. This is a great book and continuation of the series. Celia Kyle's books are filled with feisty spirited women and lots of humor. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
What a lovely conclusion to the prequel of this book ‘Not So Little Green Man’. Erudan is a completely changed male in this book, gone is the scheming, creepy twin brother of Vroe and hello brave, sexy, possessive alpha male. Erudan was plagued with guilt after what he tried to do to his brother so he exiled himself from his life of royalty to serve as protector to the less fortunate of his people. A completely different person who will not only win you over but will have you adoring and loving him. The fact that he did not feel worthy of having a mate due to his past actions lead him to constantly push Rhea away even though he felt deep inside that she was his. His continued rejection of her not only hurt her but himself, suffering greatly with every hurtful wound he inflicted upon her with his rejection. This story had so much angst I just loved it, nothing makes for such a good read than misunderstandings, pain and hurt feelings it’s what builds the tension to then have a heart felt and passionate making up. Poor Erudan held up for as long as he could but he never stood a chance lol, not with Rhea turning him on with her dirty thoughts and sexy gear bringing out his inner protective, possessive, passionate beast. I enjoyed this book immensely and just loved the ending to this story, Erudan got everything he ever wanted, everything he so rightly deserved.

Rhea is taking control of her future and her body. She has contracted to be a mate and she is leaving Earth. But when she arrives at her new home does fate have different plans?
Going Green by Celia Kyle is second in her Vialea series. It can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed Rhea. She was determined to have a future of her making not what her father has bought and paid for. Finding out her mate doesn’t want her stops her in her tracks…but not for long. I loved that Ms. Kyle gave us a female willing to fight for her future, especially as she gets to know Erudan. I adored Erudan. He was harder on himself than anyone ever would be. He made himself into a better and more honorable man. He fought what Rhea meant to him because he felt undeserving, but Ms. Kyle would never give us such a male and Erudan is no different. Convincing him is half the fun, for Rhea and us. This is an enjoyable quick read which I thoroughly enjoyed. I hope that Ms. Kyle will return to this world in the future.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
This book can be read as a stand alone or as part of this series. In this book we meet Rhea and Erudan. Rhea has left Earth and her father and ex-fiance. She is looking to have control of her own life, and she knows that she will never find this on earth. So she signs up with Celestial Mates looking for the one man meant for her. Little did she know what an adventure it would be to find him. Erudan believes that he is not worthy of a mate so when he meets Rhea he can't believe the feelings he is having. He wonders is it time for them both to have their HEA or will they loose that one perons that is meant for them?
This is another amazing hit from this author. This story will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. There are some ups and downs I really want to tell you about. I will however say I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
This is the second book in this new series by Celia Kyle and it is just a entertaining as the first. Rhea Lux is escaping earth away from her father, ex finance and most of all from the Department of Population who wanted her as a baby making machine. Not happening. So here she is mated to Erudan through Celestial Mates on a distant planet with aliens no less, so where is her mate while she is facing off against a creature with horns, not where he is supposed to be. Erudan has no idea his mate has just landed on Vialea where he is a peace keeper, as far as he is concerned he is a dishonourable warrior and does not deserve something so precious. Not only will Eurdan have to accept the fact he has acquired a mate but outside forces will be trying to separate them. Loved this book. Thank you to Celia Kyle for the enjoyable review copy. Highly recommend this series.
Rhea joined Celestial Mates to leave earth as a means to get away from those that would turn her into an incubator......Her father being one, a power hungry politician. Celestial Mates matched her to the perfect male, what she hadn't counted on was falling into the stratosphere for the alien. She has some serious flirting to do though.
After trying to steal his his twin's mate, Erudan has seen the errors of his ways, but cannot forgive himself, so he has self imposed his own punishment, he has banished himself from his royal position as Teon Second to the King, his twin and is now a peacekeeper. He doesn't consider himself a worthy mate for any female which is why he tries his best to distance himself from the irresistible humanoid who claims to be his mate. Will Erudan be able to resist the flirting female and the mating pull?
Rhea was having a problem on earth with the department of population control she was at that time to marry, have kids or they would step in and any kids they wanted her to have she would only she didn't get to keep them. Yea that isn't happening so she ran to celestial mates they found her the perfect match only he us on Vialea. Erudan was more then he seemed, he was a warrior with royal blood but he is dishonored and doesn't think he is worthy for the little mate that shows up. Can the two of them trust each other and work together when danger comes? I love these characters. So much fun to read, it's got some mystery, lots of spice and a taste of danger . Syfy romance fans you will love this one. Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
I loved this story! It was a fun, entertaining read. I loved getting to see Erudan in a different light and seeing him make the change for the better. Rhea was perfect for him. She needed him just enough but always willing to step up and try to protect him when she thought the situation warranted it. Erudan has to deal with his view of himself as worthy in order for him and Rhea to work. I loved how Rhea wouldn't give up on the situation. I loved the snarky humor that Celia Kyle uses. It always makes for an entertaining read! I loved this story! This can be read as a stand alone book without any issues at all. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
A great 2nd story from Celia Kyle. I would suggest reading the first "Not So Green Man" to get a good understanding of Erudan's turmoil. He believes he is not an honorable Vian because of his actions against his brother Vron's mate Jessa in that first book. Here he learns to redeem himself by accepting what Fate and Celestial Mates has given him: the lovely Rhea Lux as his intended. Rhea is one determined individual who runs from Earth, her overbearing father, and cheating ex to fulfill her dream to live and love by her own choosing. I was given this book through BookFunnel and my review is voluntary and honest.
Celestial Mates and the men of Vialea - a winning combination! A desperately eager bride plus a disappointingly reluctant mate equals an intriguing tale. Rhea faces problems on earth that she really needs to escape. She worries about her assigned mate, but the attraction is immediate for her. I adore this bold, brave, and snarky girl! She can hold her own! Erudan is flummoxed. He didn’t sign up for a Celestial Mate, and doesn’t feel deserving, but now that she’s here, he’s finding her irresistible. You must read to see how this plays out! There are many dangerous situations to navigate; persons with intent to steal or harm. Exciting and a delicious romance!
We get to visit Vialea again..and see the Teon's redemption! In the first book 'Not So Little Green Man', we saw Erudan's fall. Don't worry if you have not read it first. You'll devour this one without missing anything. I love how Ms. Kyle makes her female leads as strong independent kick arse ladies that still can be caring woman capable of having swoon worthy ovary melting moments. Rhea is no exception – she is off and running as soon as she hit her new world. She enjoys watching the softer moments of Erudan with the children. Erudan himself is a strong warrior that needs a kick in the butt from a woman like Rhea. Fortunately it all works out for both of them.
Relationship status: It's Complicated. Erudan, silly dragon has convinced himself that he is unworthy of mate after attempting to steal his birth-brothers mate. Rhea is escaping her home planet to avoid an unwanted relationship setup by her father and becoming a incubator for babies she would not get to keep. After being matched on Celestial Mates, Rhea heads to Vialea where she finds her mate that pushes her away. Coming to realize that Rhea is his mate, Erudan must decide if he will allow her to leave or ask her to stay. I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Great story. Our hero is from a previous story so you can read this as a standalone it makes a little bit more sense if you read the previous story first. This was a wonderful short and sweet love story with some smut for men and some action in white Knight thrown in. Our Herroine is running from her father and the government to save herself. Her mate doesn't know he has a mate but he tries to figure out how to save her from her predicament and from himself. I really enjoyed this story
Really would have loved to have this a bit longer but enjoyable all the same. What a short fun read with some interesting characters. Really enjoyed this but so would have liked it to be longer and for Erudan to have actually told Rhea’s father that he was the Teon of the planet. Erudan was a bit of an idiot in book one but I feel that he redeemed himself really well once he got over his stupid I am not deserving of a mate idiocy. Rhea standing up to her dad was good. This is my honest review of this book.
Rhea Lux is on her way to to the planet Vialea. She contacted Celestial Mates, and they found a mate for her. That gives her a way to make sure she could leave Earth and all her troubles behind. Hopefully. Erudan is a Vian warrior and peacekeeper. He will not allow himself to resume his rightful place until he restores his honour. Our heroine is going to cause our hero all sorts of problems and stress. An amusing and sexy sci-fi romance with fabulous characters. It is the second book in the series but easily read on it's own. It will tempt you to get the first one. It has me.
Celia Kyle Sent me an ARC. I was so excited to get this second installment. The end of 'Not So Little Green Man' left me feeling bad for Teon, and I was eagerly waiting for his HEA! I love how protective he is even when he insists he doesn't want a mate because he so undeserving! Rhea is perfect for him. I wonder what will happen with her father? And my biggest question... Who submitted the Application to Celestial Mates? I'd love to know how Erudan will handle his home over ran by falour (pests not pets). Mwah-Haha
I was looking for a good read on aliens and all that and so I came across this book and said this author has really good books and so I decided to read it and I am so glad I did and it had to deal with Celestial mates and this one did not disappoint. It had a bit of everything, action romance a fiery lead lady finding her mate. Exactly what celestial mates stories do and I loved it. Erudan and Rhea finding each other was great because she found love and he one to call his mate. The story didn't drag and that made me love it even more.
'Erudan alone with… his mate'. Finally, at the 65% point, Erudan admits to himself that he and Rhea are indeed mates. The spectators (us the readers) are well aware that all Erudan's resistance is futile but it was fun to 'watch' him in his green furor of sexual tension and fantasies.
The remaining story is a whirlwind of events to a very HEA. Presently the end of a two-book series and not having read the first, I am plagued with thoughts of who summited Erudan's Celestial Mates application?
Didn’t like this book. It didn’t hold my attention. There was less sci fi exploration or discovery then the first book had. I wasn’t a fan of teon in the first book and was disappointed that this book was about him. While rhea was funny and brave the plot lack anything of interest. Besides that, the story just ends with no epilogue to round it off. It boringly ends. Really I was bored and had to force myself to finish it so I can forget it and never read it again. I gave two stars because the author writes well, I just wish she actually had something to write about.
