Reviews for books 1-4:

The Dragon's Mate: A good start to an interesting series full of twists, lies, bonds, and passion.
This is my favorite of the series because I feel like it's the most complete even though it's only the start of the series. The couple struggles through the bond, the opposition, enemies, almost being kidnapped, and individual fears. Then there's the drama with the GOE. We get know how this family of dragons becomes so embroiled in the craziness that will hit them from what seems like all sides as the series continues. I think Luc and Anya are a good pair together because while Luc is lightness and humor, Anya has a good sense of humor balanced with dedication, focus, and subtlety to provide a foundation for her partner. They make a good pair and are both smart and determined to get to the truth no matter what heartache will follow. This is a good story with good characters and a solid cast that I'm eager to get to know.

The Dragon's Lover: Relatively good book, could use some refining and paring down to make a more cohesive story that connects with you.
I liked where the book was headed. There was a lot of promise with this story but I feel like it fell short on a few points. Overall, however, the book was enjoyable and the feels were relatively strong. It made me interested in the series as well as other books by this author.

Quinn had the potential to be a really strong character. She has the past, the excitement, the strength, the wit, the intelligence, and the beauty both inside and out to be a really well-rounded character. Where that fell short was in how much drama was packed into a relatively short book. There was too much going on and not enough focus to let her strengths really shine. Instead, she came off as being a bit flighty, unfocused, and overwhelmed by the emotions that came at her from virtually every direction. Being overwhelmed is understandable, I just feel like we read her as being constantly overwhelmed instead of level-headed, a trait we're made to think she has in the beginning.

Isaac had a great start too. He was passionate and interesting. The rest of the story didn't really do him justice though. We were also teased with learning more about his past but get no follow through there. Will there be more of him in the next book, even obliquely?

There could have been a great deal more of them together actually building something and establishing a connection and a foundation. What we were given was a bit superficial and then there's a ton of drama from many sources, and then the ending is hopeful and a little bit romantic.

The Dragon's Woman: Bonds shunned, hearts revealed, missions accomplished, bonds accepted and strengthened, hope found.
My heart aches when mate bonds are shunned, denied, or broken. Marc has so much patience with Noelle though I don't think she always deserves it. With her past I can understand her hesitation but I find her actions more than frustrating because of how long she denies who she knows is a good man. Her dragon man is wonderful and I'm definitely on his side on this one. They make a good partnership, however, when they band together to do something dangerous, a bit reckless, and for the good of their dragon family. When they come together their passion is intense and filled with so much of Marc's heart that I find myself forgiving Noelle a little bit. I do find her withholding important information frustrating, though, because for once I thought she was going to do the better thing, the right thing, but it turns out that she just goes right back to being a team of one while giving her mate lip service, both literally and figuratively. When the worse comes to worst, though, she gives him the trust he deserves and he gives it right back. Their mission is complete, but not without some losses, some gains, and discoveries that serve to help with all kinds of healing. Overall, this story was pretty good and ended with light and humor when the beginning didn't promise such.

The Dragon's Charm: Intense surrounding circumstances, hopeful ending.
This was Kenji's story and I was eagerly awaiting this one. His partner, Morgan, was actually a good match for him. I did feel like they didn't truly end up on the same page, even in the end, but they were on their way there, so that was good. I had quite a few moments where I got choked up on Kenji's behalf. He was trying so hard to find his place, to become a version of himself and couldn't do it on his own. Morgan was trying to make her place, to attain her dream but could do with a little support. Together they could achieve all of that but life kept getting in the way of their future as individuals and as mates. The GOE are ramping up their efforts in dragon domination and manipulation and it seems, throughout most of this book, that they just might succeed. With modern technology and a few individuals who aren't afraid to stand up and speak out against injustice, they find that a peaceful future just might be possible. Overall, this story was quite dramatic and had a very hopeful outcome.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Emilia Hartley's boxed set, Elemental Dragons, is a five-book feast for readers who love dragon-shifter romances, and are ready for something unique. In Hartley's paranormal world, dragons are the new social pariahs, and humanity is organized against their kind. A world-wide quasi-governmental agency, the Guardians Of Existence, utilizes anti-dragon propaganda to promote human fears that dragons are monsters. GOE also has formidable tech to capture and hold dragons prisoner. Most surviving dragons are refugees, hiding out in primitive conditions on designated "territories" which are more like the Indian reservations in the US. Their fight for freedom from persecution is the over arching plot that ties the books together. Against that backdrop, five dragons meet their fated mates, whose love and loyalty help the dragons' cause. There are dragons from every mythology and tradition: European, Chinese, Egyptian/African, even the ancient Mayan Quetzalcoatl and a Japanese water dragon! Each dragon has some elemental connection - earth, water, air, fire - which determines their dragon powers. The five women are also very individual - there are human women, female dragon-shifters, and one is a witch! The romances are a little angst-ridden, but sexy and steamy enough to melt your e-reader, and each ends in its own HEA. Hartley's characters are an intriguing bunch - well drawn and differentiated in personalities and powers. Hartley invests each with a compelling back-story and complex ties to the dragon and human worlds. The ever-present threat of the GOE and their Gestapo-like tactics fuels the dramatic tension, and there's plenty of action to punctuate the drama. I love the author's imagination and near-flawless world-building. Alas, there's a downside - or in this case, two. These books need an editor. From verb-tense errors to word choice gaffs to missing phrases/words, there are so many interruptions to the flow that it becomes annoying. Also, Hartley's writing, especially in the first two novels, is heavy on exposition, which flattens the dramatic tension and takes the passion out of the love stories. I was left feeling that I knew a great deal 'about' each couple, but I didn't feel with them the way I wanted to. Still, the bundle on the whole is really, really good, so 4 stars.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The Elemental Dragons

You have action and adventure and love all in these books.

The Dragons Mate

OMG I couldn't put this one down. Felt so bad for Luc with his mates mixed signals. Glad they had their HEA.

I love this series in this book Quinn was taken in by her aunt who was mated to a dragon and she grew up with a dragon and they were best friends he convinces her that they are mates. Well Quinn meets Isaac and bell toll for both but he believes she is someone else's mate and doesn't understand his attraction and she is baffled until Ken sees the way they react to each other and tells her he lied. So now she understands she is Isaac''s mate and does she tell him. She doesn't want a controlling partner. They have issues both need to work through. Action and adventure and love with this book. You may not want to put it down so make time to read it.

The Dragons Woman
Marc and Noelle he has been waiting for her for along time and she has just been trying to get with someone that could help her find her sister denying Marc. This one involves rescuing Marc and Luc's mother who gets dragon napped again. But they find a surprise as well.

Dragons Charm

Kenji and Morgan

He is a dragon shifter and she works as a waitress trying to build up enough money to start her own ceramic shop. The dragons are on the news and she makes a comment favoring the dragons and all hell breaks loose her apartment is trashed so she goes to the ambassey and runs into Kenji while watching the tv about the trail and see that the dragons lost she leaves but is detained by two human boys with a bat and they decide she is a dragon lover and needs a lesson. Kenji decideds to follow her and its a good thing.

The Dragons Savior

Keira and Oliver

This was heart wrenching Oliver is a dragon without his memory and Keira is a witch that is trying to help him recover it if possible. They learn they are mates and his power is of the earth and he can't control it. She gets hurt twice and he feels she needs to get away from him. While she is with her coven/family she is held against her will as the high priestess wants to bind the dragons to land never allowing them to fly.

This series is a collection of 4 excellent dragon books, spin offs from the Fated Dragons series. Below is a representative selection from this set to give you an example of what is compiled for us here!

>>> Review of “The Dragon’s Charm” – Book 4 <<<
Morgan is a waitress at a busy diner. Her customer was upset at the “monsters” on the TV, referring to the trial they were watching between the Guardians of Existence (GOE) – a worldwide organization supposedly protecting humans from the supernatural -- and dragons who claimed GOE was experimenting illegally on them. More customers joined the angry discussion, hating the dragons. Morgan made the mistake of commenting that maybe what the dragons claimed was true; watching them smiling on TV, the dragons seemed to her like they were just people. Her customer squeezed her wrist so tightly it hurt and she pulled away.

The Territory leader’s mate wanted to start a joint task force with dragons and a few trusted human members and asked Kenji about organizing and leading the dragons. She wanted to show humans that the dragons only wanted to help them.

That evening, exhausted after working an extra shift, Morgan returned home, only to find that her apartment had been broken into and everything she owned was damaged or destroyed. She knew this was done because she had not joined the hate group at the diner and they had retaliated. But instead of being afraid, she knew what she had to do.

Looking closer at both sides’ points of view, where will Morgan’s loyalties lie? Could she ever fall in love with a dragon? Or will she play it safe and pursue her career dreams? Will Kenji continue trying to protect her? Having prevailed in the trial against the dragons in court, what are GOE’s plans now?

I love dragon stories, and this was a good one. Even better, the books are now available in a box set so the reader doesn’t have to wait for the next one to publish! You will definitely enjoy these exciting stories! Although I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, I purchased my own copy to have all of them together in one set!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. I found the Elemental Dragon books drew me in and kept me reading. I found myself disgusted with what the dragon people had to deal with from the governing body, ‘GOA or Guardians Of Existence.. They were just a bunch of racist and ignorant people.
It was hard for Anya as she had grown up with her father in a high position in GOA and it was the opposite of all she felt right. She herself fell in love with a Shifter Luc and though her father tried to be polite she knew his true feelings. Or thought she did, the things that happened in that building was torture and I had a hard time reading what the dragon people were put through, but to read about how Anya and Luc worked together for good made it worthwhile.
Is there tolerance anywhere if not even in fantasy worlds? That made me rather sad to know everyone suffers for being different. I hope it changes one day soon, and not just in books.

This set had me from the start. I loved the creative world building and the differences between the dragons and their original geographic location and element. Fascinating. I was totally engrossed and was excited to see what new adventure I would go on.

There is a love story in each book, some of the mates are humans, some are dragons and one is even a witch! The dragons are banned to their own territories and governed by the GOE, a government agency. There is discrimination, and propaganda spread about the dragons to get humans to fear them. There is magic, spells, earth dragons, water dragons, dragons that fly without wings! This world I am telling you was awesome.

If you like dragon shifters, give this fascinating series a try. It’s sexy, funny, chilling and at times sad. I experienced outrage, joy, stomach plummets and butterflies. Enjoyed every page!

If you love dragon shifter romances, this is a great series to read. It offers some great characters and great romance as well as a lot of action and adventure.

The dragon shifters are fighting for the right to be free. Many of the humans are afraid of them and use others to control them. In each book, the dragon shifter finds their mate. Sometimes it is with another shifter and sometimes it is a human that is the perfect one for them.

I like that each book continues the storyline about their fight for freedom and offers you more time with the characters you enjoyed in the earlier books. It is best to read them in order.

Not quite a full 5 stars, but well-written and imaginative series pitting the dragon shifters of the U.S. Midwest against fearful local residents and evil government scientists perpetrating torture and destruction. The shifters seek a peaceful existence and acceptance but find it increasingly difficult as they search for missing relatives and find evidence of human actions against their race. Each book focuses on a dragon shifter finding his or her mate, but they are all tied together in a rapidly escalating conflict with humans working to marginalize or destroy the dragon community.

I received complimentary advance copies of each of the books in the series; this is my voluntary and honest review.

A great series with dragon shifters. This series takes off from the first series “Fated Dragons”. It follows the lives and heartaches of the American Dragons. Each story focuses on one couple but includes several other dragons that live as one group in America. There lives have never been easy and the government has only made things harder. You get to see how the dragons handle what fate gives them and with luck their mate is also found. The series is great. Very entertaining and some hotness when it comes to dragons. I highly recommend for any paranormal romance readers.

Wow! What an awesome box set. Wonderful, not having to wait until the next book is finished before we can find out what happens. I love the characters in this series, they are so lovable, and so protective of their mates. The GOE storyline has been one of the things that has linked all the books. It makes you want to stand in front of the main characters and say stop, you can’t do this. I have really empathized with the families who were tortured by the GOE. Loved the final book in the series. Great work Emelia. Can’t wait for the next series.

Emilia Hartley is such a fantastic story-teller, and she has proven it once again with these riveting books about the Elemental Dragons! She pulled me right into each story and ran me through the entire gamut of emotions.
These dragon shifters have been through so much, just trying to live their lives in peace. Now, they are supposed to trust a government agency with a shady history.
Each book focuses on one of these shifters and the rocky road they traverse to try and find their mate and their happily ever after. There is plenty of action, adventure, suspense, romance, and steamy passion to be had in this boxed set. I highly recommend it!

Nothing beats being able to read a whole series via a box set and this one did't disappoint, I really liked how Emilia's characters are all flawed and have their own insecurities whether they be dragons or humans. This was a great page turner with plenty of twists, nail biting moments, a few surprise and some sexy dragons. I was actually gutted when I got to the end as I wanted to know more about the other dragons so hopefully the series will continue!

Very good box set!

This set is well written and includes many extras. This review is for the main books in the series as I have read and reviewed most of the others before. This set is filled with action and a theme that runs through each book but you are not left Hanging! Each book focuses on a separate couple and all the ups and downs of each steamy relationship. Well worth the big investment of your time and small investment of your money!

Wow. I love paranormal and shifter books. This set of 5 shifter books was awesome. They had the normal bad/sad parts but these were good. Found myself rooting for the good guys. I read thru all like they were one continuous story with different characters added. When I got to the end of the last book, I was upset it had to end.

The Elemental Dragons........

Here is another series that I've enjoyed reading that is written by Ms. Emilia Hartley. There is nothing that I dis like about any of her books, they are all full of Happy Ever Afters. It just seems that the stories should go on and on and never end lol. Thank you for such wonderful characters. Phyllis

The Power Of Love And Faith

This was an awesome series. There was so much drama, tragedy, trauma, action and even some humor. The passion and sex scenes were amazing. One of my favorite characters was Noelle and her attitude and personal strength she had. The other two was the Avila twins. Excellent reading.

Improved, but still need an editor

Improved tension in the storyline, although I personally don't like reading about torture and might not have read it had I known ahead of time. Original plot as far as I can tell. Still needs editing and proofing.
