The couple was cute and they had a nice relationship but some side characters really annoyed me, especially with the way they treated Hanazono. Apart from the side characters, it was good, but it wasn’t the best. It was kind of average but I would still recommend it.

Kawaii Hito is the type of manga wherein the characters date throughout the story, it is about a guy named Hanazono Moriya who is a kind 27 year old florist, one noticeable feature he has is his scary face which makes it hard for him to interact with other people, let alone sell flowers.

Then we have the heroine, Suzuki Hiyori, a 20 year old university student who's the total opposite of Moriya in terms of looks. Hiyori is your cute, good-looking and kind fl who fell in love with Moriya at first sight.

If you're looking for pure fluff then this manga is for you! a great read to relieve some stress.

What I like the most about this manga is there are no unnecessary drama, both of the characters communicates well and support each other.

It's super cute and fluffy, the kind of cute that made me scream 'awwww' 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
The last time I felt like this when reading a Shoujo too is for 'Hibi Chouchou', but this one is even better than Hibi Chouchou.

The adorable Hanazono-kun reminds me of HuaHua Hua Chenyu a lot, a darling, a sweetheart, also the way they smile that even their eyes smile too.
Both even have 'flower' in their name. Hana in Hanazono. And HuaHua (flower flower) is Hua Chenyu's nickname.
Hiyori the heroine is also really adorable. Very sweet story that made my tooth ache and still crave for it. 😖

It's overall quite a cute story, but it's not particularly great otherwise. There should've been an epilogue instead of a prologue at the end... the time they first met was covered well enough already.

The guy having a scary face is funny for a little while, but the joke pops up far too frequently to remain so.

The siscon thing is sooooo annoying... why can't her brother just be overprotective instead of obsessed?

I wouldn't say the art is anything special... it's serviceable.

While the premise was a good idea, what I could.not understand is how the girl pushed the guy to not respect her and her family's trust in him. She seemed incredibly selfish and I lost respect for her half way through the story.

not a big fan of them already being a couple from the beginning and then already saying they love each other even though it's still the beginning of their relationship BUT it is cute so i might still continue reading...

he’s so adorable but nobody gives him the chance... the side characters infuriate me. i’m happy for hiyori and hanazono, but still mad at the same time bc of the other ppl.

our MC is cute, with his long bangs and all ^^

overall, wholesome read! not too much substance and i can see it become repetitive, but it was nice either way :).

Kawaii Hito
⭐⭐⭐.5/5
🌶️/4

Honozono is a 27 year old who helps run his family's flower shop... The only problem is that he has a scary face. His whole life he's been alone because everyone runs away from him. So when he meets Hiyori and she confesses to him, he can't even believe someone would ever fall for him. The two of them learn what it means to fall in love together.

This series is a bit more average length than some of the more recent ones I've read, and I'm surprised to say that I feel like it didn't even need to be as long as it it. Kawaii Hito is a low stakes, absolutely adorable and fluffy romance. I loved the interactions between all the characters, but most especially Honozono and Hiyori. The only reason I rated it down was because it was fairly simple. No drama really, and nothing at stake. It was great, but it was just a feel good story that didn't make me super excited. Another reasoning is that although it's part of the plot, I hated how they used Honozono's face as a downfall. In no real life circumstance have I ever met someone with so ugly or scary of a face that I run away screaming. It made me feel bad for him, as well as angry in his behalf. I still enjoyed it and laughed out loud a few times, but I probably won't pick it back up again.

This is honestly such a refreshing take on shoujo romance!

While it does follow a lot of tropes, I love how some aspects are the complete opposite of what you usually see.

For example, the couple starts dating in the first couple of pages, so it definitely doesn't deal with the endless pining for hundreds of chapters that you usually get in other stories, and the unnecessary drama of love triangles or misunderstandings. While I can enjoy those tropes sometimes, it's nice to see a story break out of it.

But one thing I absolutely adore is how the male lead is the opposite of toxic masculinity. He's incredibly respectful, mindful, shy and sweet.

Throghout the story it's implied that the female lead has never felt comfortable around men, and that she thought she would never want to date one until she met the MC. And she falls for him because he's soft and supporting? Yeah, that spoke to me and I can honestly relate a lot.

I also love that the drama happens outside of their relationship, as in opposing forces that don't want them to be together, but they pull through with love, support and communication.

It may not be the most original story, and objectively it's not a 5 stars, but it's a 5 stars in my heart.

If you enjoy shoujo and want a wholesome romance that completely focuses on just the cuteness of it and gives you hope that some relationships are actually healthy, then definitely give this one a try!
