Spooky but light with a sense to it, this is very exotic indeed! I liked the exaggeration, but the pictures--- eh, a little on the spooky side, like seeing the ocean on GPS real close. Anyhow, this makes up for its scariness. I enjoyed looking at how the animals dwelled and lived. I did NOT purify the ewwy parts, like the gnat. There is a rare element inside this book that I like that makes it unique: the feel of the pages, which motivated me to read this book.
Notes: extra large book with larger than life illustrations fascinatingly ugly creatures fold out 'poster' with glowing outlines mostly deep sea animals
