The only problem with the freedom to choose is living with the outcome…
All Angus MacLaughlan ever wanted, was a family of his own and the freedom to make his own choices. Now, even as a ghost, someone else is choosing for him.

What happens when two worlds, two days, and two loves collide?
Jo Jones lives in the red-rock area of southern Utah. Her roots go deep into the red soil of cattle country, tended by four generations of ranchers.
She also keeps a tight hold on the ancestral string of her Scottish heritage and keeps a piece of her heart in the Highlands.
With a lifetime love for reading, and writing, she has a soft spot for richly detailed historical novels with characters who draw their strength and purpose from the land and their environment. And of course, each other.
The ghost of Cullidon Moor. It’s true romance for the open minded and adventurous spirit. The stories are all different as the characters are and about the heart’s truest desire. The are great examples of honor, tough decisions and doing what’s right no matter what you want or how bad that hurts. The characters are well crafted and the dialogue and accents flow in an entrancing manner with jewels of wisdom within the text. A really enjoyable read and I like that there are enough stories that I won’t run out anytime soon as I am only up to about my seventh book. Many thanks. A reading addict😁👌💜

This is book 34 in the series. You will want to read the first short story, The Gathering, for the background information on the Muir witch before you start the rest of the series. After that, each one can be read as a standalone.
I think Angus is going to be one of my favorite 👻 ghosties! 💕💕 He is just so sweet! He was able to see himself him Blake and was able to help him like no one else could. In helping Lucy and Blake he also realizes that he was wrong all those years ago. Everyone seems to have something to learn and grow from in this one. I really enjoyed it.
This is one of my favorite stories of The Ghosts of Culloden Moor series. The books are written by a group of authors who take turns writing about each of the 79 soldiers who were lost at the battle of Culloden Moor when they were betrayed by their leader "Bonnie Prince Charlie" who didn't show up for the battle with the results that all 79 warriors suffered for his failure to lead. This is the 34th book so there are still quite a few more to go to which I am looking forward to.
This story is one of my favorites in this series. If you are a fan following along with these Highlander ghosts who get a second chance at life, you know they all have to perform some heroic deed. These tasks have come in many shapes and forms throughout this series. I really liked the emotions that were created in this story as Angus tries to "find" his heroic deed. Loved the characters and the recipes were a nice bonus.
This is another winner. No matter which author writes this series they do a wonderful job of writhing a new ghost story for each of the ghosts of Culloden. They give them wonderful lives and you root for them to have a happy ending and it seems so real you think it could be. I highly recommend every book in this series of 78. Diana R omano
Angus and the Apple Lady Lucy. What a charming story. The theme of this work is strength and faith. Faith in people standing by them all-such a Scottish way- a very human way. New author for me - love Jo Jone's rich characters and flowing plot. It is a bonny book.
Now, quickly read this amazing chapter of the Ghosts of Culloden Moor saga and nab yourself some tasty recipes for of all things applesauce custard pie and a chunky applesauce pie. Oh yeah, don’t forget the amazing romance between a struggling female entrepreneur & a smoking hot Scottish Highlander ghost.
Oh wow such a wonderful story. I enjoyed every page of this book and couldn't put it down. There was a lot of Family and growing in this book in it was very touching.
“A nobody who almost lost himself before he learned that his future was in his hands alone, and whatever success he had would be up tae him to create.”
She lost her parents and her brother was in accident recently and is not copping with losing parents and later the accident. Then they meet highlander who help them through it and they fall in love. Read more for what happens
I love this series. Each story is unique and filled with surprises. I especially love that they are all short stories so I can lose myself in a good book for a couple of hours.
I am absolutely loving the Ghosts of Culloden series! Not a single book of the 35 I have read so far have disappointed. Who doesn’t love a large handsome who is strong, honest, brave and true? Even better in a kilt! 😁
Another one of these novels set in rural America and it could easily be a contemporary novel. Having said that, it is well written and made for a nice cozy afternoon.
I'm beginning to like this author's writing style. This story is interesting as it is about choices one makes for themselves and how that impacts everyone around them.
Fabulous storyline and characters! Loved reading this story so much. It kept my attention throughout the entire story. It is a clean read. It is easily read in one sitting.
