Becoming Daddy

I gave her a contract. She gave me a baby.
It was simple.
Rue would carry my baby.
My girlfriend and I would raise it.
Just another contract in the life of a billionaire.
Sounds simple right? Wrong.
My girlfriend no longer wants me or my unborn child.
She may have given up on this baby, but I never will.
And, I think I’m falling for Rue.
Rue, with her small-town charm and her enticing curves…
Ignites the fire inside me.
I will give her the life she deserves.

But will someone’s change of heart keep me away from the family I always wanted?

*** This is a full length novel with a happily ever after, no cliffhanger, no cheating, and plenty of steam. ***

Rue is a country girl who moved to the big city. It is time for a dentist appointment but she hates her dentist so her friend offers to make an appointment for her with his dentist. He is very secretive about the dentist and refuses to give her an address but instead gives her confusing directions. After a a little bit of wandering she finds an office building and they are expecting her. As she fills out the paperwork, she is surprised at some of the question. Her biggest shock comes when the doctor asks her why she wants to be a surrogate.Rue realizes she is in the wrong place but feels drawn to go through the surrogate application process. If she is chosen, she can help a couple start a family and the money she will be paid will save her family's house.
Richard is a rich businessman who has a socially acceptable fiancee. There are no real strong emotions between them but marriage is expected. Richard is ready to start a family but his fiance Flora tells him she is not able to have children. Richard decides that they need a surrogate. During the application process, he is really drawn to Rue because she gives honest answers and shows real feelings. Flora isn't thrilled but Rue is the best candidate. Richard arranges for Rue to be impregnated and is thrilled when it takes. He is drawn to Rue and will do anything it takes to make her happy but there are misunderstandings because Richard and Rue have totally different backgrounds. He feels more for Rue than his bride to be.
This story is funny and full of misunderstandings. The whole surrogate plan changes when Flora admits that she doesn't want a baby and she has been lying all along. What will happen with the unborn child. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

This is a beautiful story. R.R. Banks brings surrogacy to an emotional front in this book. I love Rue and how she takes on this job so wonderfully. To combat the emotions that she is going through she writes these beautiful letters to the child that she will never know once she gives birth to him/her. They bring such a great way to her thought process I loved it. Richard has wanted a family for a long time. So when his girlfriend tells him she can't have a baby they decide to go the surrogacy way. But when the baby is real and the girlfriend starts getting cold feet. What happens to Richards future family? I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Becoming Daddy

What an amazing story! Loved Richard and Rue, probably two of the most unlike people, the last in common, yet destined to be together. The typical saying, if it is meant to be, it will happen! This is a must read, truly loved their story❤️.

Wow, this book was beyond amazing. It was very detailed and well put together. Rue thought she was going to a private dentist when she accidently ended up going to an interview for surrogacy. Even when she found out that there was a mix up she still found her self excepting the idea and agreeing to go through with it. Richard is a wealthy handsome business man who wants nothing more then to be a father. He had planned on making that dream come true with his girlfriend Flora. Despite the fact that they aren't married or even in love for that matter he was determined to go through with getting a surregent to carry his child since his girlfriend came up with a lie about not being able to conceive. He wasn't going to let her female inabilities get in the way of having a baby. Richard never would have guessed that he would fall for the woman that would carry his contract baby. Rue was so up for anything that Richard asked of her, anything to make him happy knowing how much he wanted this. She was determined to hand a healthy baby over to him and Flora. Even if her feelings had became so strong for Richard and the unborn child. Both Richard and Rue have grown up completely different and have lived very different life styles. Rue comes from a very small town in the country area where everyone knows everyone. She never appreciated it when she was young but felt drawn to it now that she experienced living in the city and working a job in the corporate world. They go through different bumps in the road but always seem to find their way back to each other as that baby grows in the whom. I really enjoyed this book. It had an amazing HEA. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Becoming Daddy is hilarious and highly entertaining, mixed with tender and serious moments. When Richard is told that his girlfriend cannot have children, the couple decide to have a baby by way of surrogacy. Richard approaches the process the same way that he would interviewing for a new employee and whilst he sets out to trip up the prospective baby carriers, Rue turns the tables on him and the accidental surrogate mother has him gasping for breath. When Flora decides that marriage and motherhood aren't for her after all, Richard realises that being a daddy is still the most important thing to him, but Rue is becoming almost as important as the baby. The dialogue and internal thoughts of the main characters had me alterntively laughing out loud and wiping my eyes. Rue's letters to her baby tell so much about her character, her roots and generousity. Richard is used to making problems go away with money, but in Rue he finds a salt of the earth woman, one who needs the money he has contracted to pay, but not the handouts that he wants to make. Even though she ran away the moment she could, Rue's roots are still in Whisky Hollow and the small town code of ethics. When her preganancy is confirmed, Rue goes back to the comfort of her roots and the people she can trust, and Richard has a hard time getting his head around the challenges that she presents him with. The book is really well written and I found it hard to put it down, even to sleep. However, it is entertainment at its best and I look forward to reading more by this writer.

I loved this billionaire's baby romance! Rue accidentally ends up in the wrong place at the right time, and while she's a surrogate mother only, when circumstances change between Richard and his girlfriend, it's Rue that he turns to for comfort. I loved the humor and the emotional pull of the story. Rue's letters were so awesome, they lent a depth to the story that I wasn't expecting. The attraction between Richard and Rue was also well done - though there are misunderstandings, I loved how Richard fought for his family. Great read!

This story is amazing. R.R. Banks has taken his writing to the next level. I literally laughed at some of the scenes and cried at others. Rarely does a story have so much emotion within the pages that leap out into your heart. The story of Rue and Richard delved into the world of surrogacy and the emotional journey that a surrogate goes through as well as the couple who wants a baby. There are some twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will not want to put this book down.

An emotional storyline with a sensitive subject that R. R. Banks did an exceptional job writing. Great chemistry between Rue and Richard. Hilarious at times and the other characters were just as amazing as Rue and a Richard. I would definitely recommend this book, you won’t be disappointed. I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.

This was the cutest story, I really loved it!
So you have Richard who is a successful business man who is basically in an arrainged relationship with Flora, he knows that things aren't right with them but he is sure that once they move on to the next step in their lives things will get better. The next step for them is having a baby.
Apparently no one has ever told him that having a baby does not save the relationship....NEVER.. anyway that is the plan... also please take note he is not even sure that he wants to marry her.
So the first problem that they run into is that Flora is not able to have children, then the second problem is now that her eggs are not viable. SO now not only will Rue need to be a surrogate but she will also need to donate one of her eggs. Of course she agrees to this right away, a little too quickly for me but ok. COME TO FIND OUT!!!! Everything Flora said was a lie because she just wanted to get out of having a baby. Now Rue is in her second trimester and the woman is saying that she no longer wants to have a baby and that they can come up with different ways and options for her... ARE YOU F'n serious!
Richard wants nothing more than to have this baby and begins to figure out that he is in love with Rue and even though he has a serious case of foot in mouth he actually makes great strides to be a part of her life.

Good book!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

An engaging story and passion continue to keep R.R. Bank’s readers glued to the pages of this fascinating storyline. This was a beautiful love story that was so well done; it held my attention and was entertaining, but also was heartwarming, emotional, and humorous at times. I enjoyed reading this story because it was full of emotional angst, scorching love scenes that burned through my iPad, and a compelling storyline. Rue was sweet and wanted to do the right thing in saving the house she grew up in. Richard was very handsome, sexy, and a billionaire. The chemistry between Rue and Richard grows more potent the more time they spend together—the sex is off-the-chart hot! The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. This story will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning.

Rue kind of accidentally falls into being a surrogate for Richard and his girlfriend. It’s actually divine providence as she’s in need of money to save her family home. She prepares herself to carry the couple’s child and then hand it over to them, but she doesn’t expect to be so attracted to the baby daddy.
Richard is finally going to have the child and family that he’s been so desiring. After an exhaustive search, he knows that Rue is the one. There’s something different about her that calls to him. When he finds out about his girlfriend’s betrayal and she dumps him and the whole baby thing, he seeks out Rue. Life is what happens when you’re planning something else, and this is definitely the case for Richard and Rue. It leads to some very passionate changes and challenges.

Rural Fun

I enjoyed this outside the box love story. The couple met as He was searching for a surrogate Mother. There Love was gradual, there attraction not, but they ignored it until He found out about his girlfriends betrayal.
Love her Grammyma’s hometown. Especial love the scrapbook and letters she wrote.
Would have given five stars if: mention place (states, etc), removed the idea of building new home behind her Grammyma one. Why would she go through restoration of it and go on about wanting to “see” her when she was in a room. Should have just said they would extend home, remodeling it a bit, but leave some rooms as is.

This story was really heartwarming, as well as something a bit different then what I usually read. Overall though I loved it and didn't want to put it down! It will make you want to laugh, blush, yell - it's like an emotional rollercoaster ride that will hook you in within seconds. Honestly every book that Banks writes just gets better and better. His creativity, as well as imagination, is so freaking hot and has improved a great deal. Every plot, story, and character his written have all been well developed and absolutely lovable! Can't wait to see what else he has in store for us!!
I had voluntarily received an arc for an honest review.

Binge reading Mr. Banks novels. Will have to go back to update some others already read.

I enjoy romance novels but usually sigh while reading, if only those male characters actually existed in the real world. Well, we have a male author writing about males who are strong, sensitive, very good lovers and almost perfect in every way. So now I am thinking if there is a male who can write very good romance, perhaps his characters are not just fantasy. Oh Mr. Banks, now you make sad at what I have missed in my life. And if that is not bad enough on its own, this book includes recipes.

Cheers

Very interesting read. 3.5 stars.

Never knew the magnitude of what it takes to enter into a contract for a surrogate. I am proud of Rue. She is surely a lady who, when caught in a peculiar situation, is able to think on her feet and make a quick decision.

I however, thought the letters she wrote to a baby that will not be hers was unnecessary, too lengthy and gave too much information.

Rue went in for an appointment for one think and found herself being interviewed for another. She was relentless though, and stuck to it. It turned out that she was successful in that process and became the overall winner of the hearts.

I seriously enjoyed it.

Not perfect, there were issues, but it was very good and well put together, for the most part. I dislike drawn out misunderstandings, and the getting together dragged a bit, but there were way more good attributes than bad. I think that some of the "country" characters were portrayed too strongly in the manner they were, but I did love those characters. I love the small town community feel, all of that friends, tradition, and support. I was really very surprised by how much I liked this book. It was just so cute, in the best ways.

Whiskey Hollow is a huge part of this book and it wouldn't be the same story without Rue's hometown and the people that live there. I absolutely adored this book. Richard and Rue are wonderful characters that are oh so "human". I loved meeting all of the folks in Whiskey Hollow, Rue's BFF's Tessie and Christopher are phenomenal friends, Fiona is a selfish BI**H, and all of them are clearly defined and oh so wonderfully written and unique. I would recommend this book to any of my friends. Great job R.R. Banks!!

I purchased a copy of Becoming Daddy: A Billionaire's Baby Romance by R.R. Banks and received a free copy in The Wedding Proposal. This review is given freely.
Billionaire Richard and the surrogate Rue are attracted to each other immediately. Colorful and eccentric characters, the humor added by Rue's friends Tessie and Christopher combined with the conflict between the family oriented Richard and Flora who is not produce a mildly steamy action packed romance punctuated with Rue's lengthy letters to the unborn baby. Loved the mention of The British Baking Show.

Going into this book, I wasn’t sure how a hot romance could be written about a surrogate situation but I sure was proven wrong!

I fell in love with Richard immediately! He was such a caring, endearing character and it was so hard not to just want to hug him every time he did or said something sweet about wanting a baby.

Rue was a strong, ideal heroine in the story who wasn’t going to let anyone or anything get in her way of saving her family’s past and her future. Her personality shines through the entire book and you couldn’t help but root for her!

This HEA had all the components for a sweet, fun read about unfortunate circumstances that brought two wonderful characters together.

I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Remy and Richard was a greatly written book by R. R. Banks. It has steamy sences, betrayal, thrill, lust, suspense, emotional trumps, love, family losses, spoiled rich people, no abuse, no cheating, some secrets and a HEA ending. Excellent Romance

I just loved this book! Definitely had a great spin to it, not at all what I was expecting, it was so much MORE!!! I really enjoyed not on,y the main characters but also the lesser characters as well, especially Elleroy and Tessie they were awesome, even for having minor roles. Whiskey Hollow reminded me so much of my hometown, I really connected with Rue!

Another Hot Story From Whiskey Hallow

Richard just wants a baby and a family. When Flora can't get pregnant, they look at surrogacy. Becoming a surrogate will help Rue keep her family's farm. Will lies tear everything apart? Can they exist in each other's world? An overall awesome read. Plus, it has a wonderful, heartwarming bonus holiday story.

It was enjoyable but in the middle it's like a whole section is missing. First I thought it was a dream sequence. When I realised it wasn't, I checked to see if I'd missed some chapters.
Also there is a misunderstanding and him saying literally four words over the top of her talking and it would've saved a lot of trouble

It was sugary sweet at times and a bit predictable, but still enjoyable. Inconsistencies that annoyed were when chapter 5 Rue is talking about her plant she has at her job and brought it home and then chapter 22 she saying she never owned a plant in her life. Also renovations supposedly started and then later not? Just small things that stuck with me. A short, light read.

RUE IS A VERY UNSUAL PERSON SHE MAY BE FROM THE HOLLOW BUT SHE HAS A BRILLIANT MIND. SHE DID GET ON MY NERVES WITH HER HAIR TRIGGER TEMPER AND JUMP TO CONCLUSION PERSONALITY. THIS BOOK HAS A BONUS NOVELLA AT THE END, BOTH THEY HAVE VERY SIMULAR IN STORYLINES. IT HAS A LITTLE TOO MUCH ON THAT POV ON THE SAME SUBJECT GOING ON “POOR TEACHING THE RICH A THING OR THREE OR FOUR OR FIVE ETC”. :O

What a fabulous book! It starts with a hero who has his life planned, and while he's not excited he thinks he can settle. Then he meets our heroine, and his plans fly out the window, but he finds his true love and their HEA! This is another book set in Whiskey Hollow, and the fun never stops! I hope there are many more books planned in this little town!
