INTERNATIONAL #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR WHO SEES ANGELS PHYSICALLY

Lorna Byrne is an international number 1 bestselling author (her last two books have gone straight in at #1 on the UK Sunday Times Chart) with more than a million readers around the world. Her books, Angels in my Hair, Stairways to Heaven, A Message of Hope from the Angels and Love from Heaven have been translated into 30 languages.

Lorna has been seeing angels since she was a baby. Very unusually, she sees angels physically with as much clarity as the rest of us see people and she sees them every day. This diminutive, soft-spoken, uneducated Irish woman who did not talk about what she was seeing until seven years ago, says she has no idea why she can see angels when others can’t, adding that she is just an ordinary person.

While it is difficult to believe that someone can see angels physically the clarity and hope inherent in Lorna’s message that everyone regardless of religion has a guardian angel, has made her a world-wide phenomenon. She has been featured extensively in respected European media - including BBC TV and Radio, The Economist, The Observer, The Telegraph, The Times, The Catholic Herald. She is a blogger for the Huffington Post.

, Few who have spoken with Lorna Byrne fail to be impressed by the wisdom and humility of this Irish woman. The overwhelming response of her more than a million readers all around the world is that knowing that Lorna sees a guardian angel with everyone has given them the belief that they have a guardian angel. They say that this assurance gives them tremendous hope and comfort, particularly in these challenging times.

An important part of Lorna’s message is that she sees a guardian angel with everyone regardless of religion (or lack of religion). She talks of the guardian angel as the gatekeeper of the soul. Lorna frequently speaks to and prays with groups from different faiths and says that interfaith prayer is particularly powerful.

Lorna is a widow with four children and lives quietly in rural Ireland

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a fantastic sequel to Angels in my Hair which I read not too long ago (I have written a comprehensive review on it, if you’d like to read it). This book takes us back to rural Ireland, as Lorna shares with us an extensive list of experiences, gifts, as well as key times in her life.

One thing that is truly amazing about this book and I don’t know how Lorna does this but when you sit down to read it, you literally enter another time zone where time just vanishes before your very eyes. It is the definition of an escape from reality.

Unfortunately, the written language in this book isn’t perfect (nor is mine 😂) which annoyed me a little at times but when you read this book you get so swept up and don’t realise it’s flaws. It’s only when you read it back that you come to realise the little imperfections. Although, saying that, it makes the book very raw and real and shows us the true Lorna.

Lorna has also included a prayer for us to use to enhance our listening abilities which I have found very helpful. She also reminded me that we must see ourselves how God see’s us.

This book was packed full of gentle yet powerful reminders that I think we can all make use of. These include:
‘Remember all of the good times spent with our loved ones before they went home to heaven. Think of all the times they made us laugh. Remember the stories they shared with us about the different things that happened in their life….’

‘Give with a pure heart and expect nothing in return’

‘God and the angels are all around us and can help us in every moment - all we have to do is ask and of course, listen.’

‘Life is precious. Don’t take it for granted. It is wonderful. Even with all our ups and downs remember, no matter what is happening in your life you will get through it.’

I have loved both books of Lorna’s so far and I can’t wait to read the next - Stairways to heaven. I would highly recommend her books, especially if you are wanting real, honest spiritual stories and guidance.

This is just such an absolutely barmy book that I don't know what to do with myself. Reading it has been a very interesting exercise in inspecting my own prejudices and expectations.

First, let me please say, that Lorna Byrne seems like an absolute sweetheart. Honestly, she's just a darling. When she says that she loves and prays for everyone in the world, I genuinely believe her. When she recounts meeting her fans, and helping them with their (often enormous) problems, she tells the tales with such modesty, they're really very touching.
Lorna hasn't been without her own troubles in life. Dyslexia prevented her from ever learning to read or write (the books are dictated) and since she was perpetually distracted by the angels that surround her, her parents and teachers assumed for some time that she was retarded. Never particularly wealthy, her husband died young, leaving her to raise the kids alone.

So you can imagine how awkward it is, after all that, to say that this is so badly written. The language is stilted, and the book is mostly a collection of angel-based anecdotes presented in a haphazard order, with very little to link them together, except quite dull paragraphs in which Lorna sets the scene by telling you what the weather is and what kind of tea and biscuit she's got now that she's settling down to tell the anecdote the angels have asked her to tell, and she usually also shares the entire conversation in which the angels encourage her to get on with it, and she attempts to procrastinate, which is endearing, but not interesting after the first time.

But after all, it's not like this is meant to be high literature. Isn't it rather snide, and entirely missing the point, to complain about style in a book written by a dyslexic woman trying to share greatly important spiritual knowledge? Yes, it probably is. Although it does presuppose that's what she's sharing.

The world that Lorna describes is a fantastic mix of New Age and Roman Catholic. The overall vibe is strongly New Age of the 'all you need is love' type; the angels want us to love each other and to stop waging war and to take care of the planet. They are beings of light, like beautiful humans with wings, sometimes they shine, and they can change their clothes on a whim displaying robes of splendid colours. They are infinitely patient and friendly and exist to help. Everybody has their own guardian angel who stands behind them, holding them in a loving embrace and whispering wisdom into their ear, but there are also angels devoted to specific things, like the Earth angel who lives inside the Earth and is very busy struggling against climate change and causes earthquakes when she moves, or the unemployed angels who just hang around waiting to help.

On the other hand there are clear Christian elements to the angels as well. Archangel Michael turns up frequently, although he hardly ever shows his sword, preferring to disguise himself in human dress (at one point he turns up dressed as a fisherman, at another a janitor). And the climax of the book is the angels taking Lorna on a vision of Christ at the scourging at the pillar which is told in quite some gruesome detail. Lorna says that the angels have shown her the whole of the crucifixion but she only described that small part in the book because it's so painful to talk about.

Watching my own reaction to the strange and beautiful world of Lorna Byrne was humbling. At first I would find myself rolling my eyes at how twee and saccharine it all is. Surely, it's impossible that we're all surrounded by incorporeal beings of immense power who want nothing more than to love and help us?
But why should I find that 'too good to be true', as if I'd be more inclined to believe in spirits if they were mean, or evil, or at least strict and terrible, mighty and frightening? Isn't it a prejudice on my part that the world can't possibly be that nice?
Then I'd think that she seemed to be making it up as she went along. Like the Archangel Michael is just bopping around in fisherman's waders, carrying messages to random housewives?
Well, why shouldn't he? Again, isn't this just a baseless prejudice on my part that Michael is too important to wear waders or talk to housewives? After all: does 'not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it'? And honestly, since I'm not a Christian, why on earth should I find these angels more or less plausible based on whether they accord with what I imagine to be Christian doctrine?
And the part about dogs in heaven? Lorna says that animals don't have souls but if you love your dog very much God will make sure the dog goes to heaven too. How does anything without a soul go to heaven? Isn't this 'no souls' thing just pretending to agree with the church then disagreeing in the next sentence?
Dude, give up already, it doesn't matter if Lorna agrees with the church! She's a mystic not a theologian. You really don't need to nitpick over dogs!
And then there's the part where the angels make Lorna laugh by pretending to fish or drink tea, or pull their hair out in frustration!
Well, why on Earth should I think that angels wouldn't have a sense of humour? Like they're too good for mime jokes?

On the whole, I swung wildly both and forth between thinking that the book was the most delightful thing I'd ever read or thinking it was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever read. Either way, I'm quite certain that Lorna Byrne is one of the most delightful authors.

(I read this book in 2019. As of March 26, 2022 I have updated my review)

This review is for the three books by Lorna Byrne: Angels in My Hair, Angels at My Fingertips, and A Message of Hope From the Angels.

I have to admit that as a Catholic, I am skeptical. Ms. Byrne appears to be a very nice woman. In fact, she mentions she is shy and doesn’t have a lot of friends. She also mentions that as a child, she would often be called “retarded.” She is also dyslexic, so she has a hard time reading and writing. These things may be true, but part of me wants to be cautious because a person can claim these things because they allow others to automatically feel sorry for her, which in turn could blind them from the truth. I don’t intend to speak harshly about Ms. Byrne as a person, nor do I disrespect her at all. But there are things she has says in her books that I find questionable.
For example, I am bewildered why Ms. Byrne, in the three books that I have read, never refers to the Mother of Jesus as Mary. Not once. She’s labeled as Queen of Angels, Queen of Heaven, Queen of all souls, etc., which Mary is all those things and a lot more, but I am unsure why she was never called Mary. For some reason, this really bothers me.

Another example is that Ms. Byrne speaks about her experiences sitting on God’s lap, walking and talking with Him, even playing with Jesus, as a little boy, running around the Tree of Life. As far as I know, not even the most holiest of saints did these things. But I may be wrong. She also had an encounter with Saint Francis of Assisi. She witnessed him praying over seeds and turning them into bread to feed the birds. The angels don’t explain why they show Ms. Byrne these experiences, which makes it even more difficult for the reader to comprehend or appreciate.

Catholics believe in angels and guardian angels. But we don’t believe in naming them. According to Father Chad Ripperger, we should not ask for their names, nor do we need to know them. Ms. Byrne says that we already know our guardian angel’s name. If we think of the first word that comes to our mind, then that’s its name. She also says it’s okay to name them whatever name we want. But the Vatican says that we are not allowed to do this because we have no authority over our guardian angel. Father Ripperger said that naming our guardian angel “….Is a sin of usurpation in which we assume an authority we do not have” (https://youtu.be/8WMjnJmgpn4). God has already named His angels, and we will learn their names when we go to Heaven.

I also have misgivings about Ms. Byrne’s soul being taken to the scene of the crucifixion. She describes the scourging at the pillar. Archangel Michael was there with her. She saw the angels surrounding Jesus during the flogging. Archangel Michael says to Ms. Byrne, “All of the angels here and all of the archangels are pouring love out on to Jesus to give him strength, even though he thinks God has abandoned him” (AAMF p. 335). Archangel Michael says that during the scourging, Jesus thought God abandoned Him!? I don’t believe Jesus felt that His Father abandoned Him; even in his agony during the nailing of the cross. But she continues describing her vision: “I could see the pain and hurt of not understanding what was happening – why was his father in heaven allowing this? I could see the anguish of not understanding why his father didn’t do something” (p. 342). Jesus already knew about His suffering on the cross before it happened. He even told His disciples multiple times about His suffering and His resurrection. Why depict Jesus in this manner? Why depict Him as not having faith in His own Father? Perhaps it is to lead us astray from God Himself. This is a huge red flag.

Throughout her books, Ms. Byrne says that she often asks the angels questions, but she normally does not receive answers. She simply does what they say. The angels sometimes just smile at her, without saying a word; sometimes they plainly ignore her; and sometimes the angels say a dismissive “I have to go” and they vanish. Ms. Byrne mentioned how the souls of our loved ones are in both heaven and with us at the same time. She spoke of hearing her mother’s voice at times. “She’s always just behind me. I never turn around because the angels tell me I must not, but it is lovely just to hear her voice.” Why isn’t Ms. Byrne allowed to turn around? She (or the reader) is not given an explanation. These kinds of occurrences happen a lot in her books. It’s important to remember that the Bible says there will be false prophets and teachers. “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: … and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matt. 24:3–8).

One of the themes in the books is that Ms. Bryne usually promotes the same message: that we are all God’s children and that He loves each and every one of us. While I do believe in the message, the angels don’t encourage Ms. Byrne to write about worshiping God or spreading the Good News. This passage sums up her overall message: “It is important to enjoy the gift of life, to be able to love, to have emotions, to have compassion, to allow yourself to feel peace within your heart and to recognize all the gifts that are around you. It is important to realize how much you are loved unconditionally. Mankind are all God’s children. That is why angels are here helping mankind to grow spiritually, to awaken them to feel peace and love in holy places” (AAMF p. 177). This is a great and beautiful message, but this is the only kind of message Ms. Byrne promotes. It’s a message that focuses on oneself; not Jesus. She also says, “Religious groups need to stop wanting to convert people” (AMOHFTA p. 167). In AIMH, Ms. Byrne says, “Your religion makes no difference to the angels; they have told me that all churches should be under one roof. Muslims, Jews, Protestants, Hindus, Catholics, and all the other different religions should be together under one umbrella” (p. 29). I agree that angels are with each person on this earth, regardless of religion. But according to what Ms. Byrne says, how can Hinduism, Buddhism, Scientology, and even Satanism (because it is a religion), become one? How can a religion that believes is many gods become like a Christian religion that believes in one God? If she says we need to stop converting people, how are we to come under one God? Is she saying it is okay to believe in other gods? Again, this is not very clear since she does not explicitly say to worship the one true God. Her messages are too sugar-coated, which leaves me to think that she is being tricked by something sinister.

“I have asked God and the angels why all marriages cannot be made in Heaven, but I have been given no answer” (AMOHFTA p. 125). Father Mike Schmitz and other Catholic priests have mentioned that as human beings, we get married and become one flesh (sacrament of matrimony) and for the procreation of life. During our earthly lives, spouses are help each other get to heaven through our marriage. But in heaven, no one is married because our souls become “married” to God. There is no need to produce life in heaven. At least, that is my understanding of the fathers.

A very significant example that I would like to mention is Ms. Byrne’s perspective on homosexual marriages. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says, “…Homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law…Under no circumstances can they be approved” (CCC 2357). There are also numerous passages in The Bible that states homosexuality is a sin. For example, 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11: “…Those who…practice in homosexuality – none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.” Ms. Byrne mentions going to a gay couple’s wedding. She says, “They were surrounded by angels, about ten of them, in a half circle. When I turned and looked around the room, I saw an angel standing beside everyone holding up a red heart” (AAMF p. 288). The red heart represents a red heart the soul of one of the groom’s deceased father was holding. Ms. Byrne continues, “This wedding, this marriage, was about love. Love has no boundaries. [God] has no boundaries. God blesses all marriages of love…The angels standing beside each person at that wedding threw the hearts they were holding up into the air. They exploded, bursting into tiny little pieces.” I truly believe this was the work on the devil. I don’t believe God would allow this. Sure, there were angels at the wedding, but they were people’s guardian angels. The angels were only there since they do not leave people’s sides; not even for a second. And they were most likely somber and disappointed; not joyous and celebratory. In AMOHFTA, Ms. Byrne says, “I sometimes see angels of love with homosexual couples…the angels of love with them told me they were partners and very happy. Some people find it hard to accept that God and the angels could approve of romantic love between two men or two women. All I can say is that I see angels of love with such couples often” (p. 123). These passages in her book convinced me that I cannot fully trust Ms. Byrne and that she may be manipulated and led astray by Satan and his demons. What Ms. Byrne states in the above passages is blasphemy and does not support Catholic teaching or values. Saint Paul says, “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8). Saint Paul also mentions, “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 10:13-14). Yes, even Satan can appear as a heavenly angel to trick and deceive us.

Lastly, Ms. Byrne also does not mention anything about the Catholic Church. She mentions she is Irish Catholic, but admits she doesn’t go to Mass every Sunday. As someone who can see angels, I would expect messages about the Church: devotion, encouraging receiving the Sacraments, honoring Jesus through Mary (praying the Rosary), reparations for sins, conversions of sinners, and the list goes on. But she does not teach or promote these things. Her message is generally to be kind and love one another. I whole-heartedly agree, but I am unsure if SHE truly knows what her message is. She usually mentions that the angels never tell her anything. I think that’s another pretty big red flag. In fact, after her vision of the crucifixion, since Ms. Byrne appears to be quite distressed, Archangel Michael told Ms. Byrne, “That’s okay. Remember, God said you can write just what you want” (p. 342). Why would God give Ms. Byrne complete and total discretion to write whatever she wanted about Jesus’ Passion; the single most important event of our Catholic faith? Why show Ms. Byrne the vision of the crucifixion, only to tell her to write whatever she pleases about it?

Nevertheless, Ms. Byrne does mention things that do follow Catholic teaching. Again, I do not wish to say that everything in the book is blasphemy and anti-Catholic. She does make very good points and has beautiful stories to tell (e.g., glowing babies). If these are true, she definitely made me shed some tears reading about them. However, as I mentioned, Ms. Byrne’s approach is too sugar-coated and full of rainbows and butterflies. It is as if she wants to depict God as ONLY all-loving and merciful (which He is). But we also need to “Fear God, and keep his Commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14).

Once again I loved reading Lorna Byrne. She conquers her readers through her great authenticity and soul beauty...
At one point in my life, I started to feel an even greater link with the Angels, and when I read Lorna's books that link shines even stronger... Thank you Lorna.

Amazing! Would make a great movie!

Definitely recommend. Most informative of the angels and God and Heaven and life after death. Makes us mindful of life in every respect. I was so looking forward to reading Lorna's latest book and it didn't disappoint. Have read them all. Looking forward to her next one. I wish it was made into a movie, or a series. What a great book.

I am not sure what to write here, as I have read this book with a lot of skepticism. Since a young child Lorna Byrne has been able to see angels surrounding people, and her own guardian angel, as well as others that visit to guide us. She tells us about our own guardian angel, that is with us everywhere helping and protecting us.

I like the thought of my own bodyguard, and that as people die that their angels are there to wrap their wings around us and help guide us as we die. More than that I am not sure I am enough of a believer to fully get everything she writes about.

I’m on the fence about this book. My mom and auntie told me about Lorna Byrne books years and years ago and I was always interested. I didn’t read anything until I came across this one in the charity shop. It’s the sequel to her first book Angels in my Hair.
It’s absolutely packed with stories of Lorna’a encounters and visions of Angels, Jesus as a child and God himself.
I know some will find it hard to believe and there are many reviews that do not agree with what she says and also speak negatively of her writing style. I think the book could have been shorter and there were so many day to day details of normal life that I felt added nothing. I just wanted to read the bits about the Angels! You can tell the she writes her books by speaking into her laptop because she literally writes how she would speak. It’s definitely endearing and lovely and she has a heart of gold. It really was thought provoking and made me wonder, why did God chose her to experience this? She says it’s to teach us all how to connect with our spiritual sides and learn to get in touch with our guardian Angels.
I don’t know if I’ll ever encounter my guardian Angel, but I am more open to it now thanks to this book.
I’ll be looking out for her books again in future.

New age literatura uvijena u roza papir koja tobože svim dušama daje nadu. Broj prodanih primjeraka samo pokazuje kako se ljudi osjećaju jadnima i kako je jedna vidovnjakinja, okultistica i spiritualistica to dobro iskoristila. Ne, i jedan je previše.

Estamos a destruir a Mãe Terra.

Lorna Byrne avaa Enkelten kosketus -kirjassaan elämäänsä enkeleiden keskuudessa.

In this sequel to "Angels in my Hair," Lorna Byrne shares more details about her regular interactions with angels, including their appearance, teachings and relationship with God.
I particularly enjoyed reading about the messages given by her angels, not just for herself but for others in times of crisis.
Lorna also shares poignant memories of her late husband Joe, and the love she found after his early death.
Although she was labelled "retarded" as a child, and has now been diagnosed with dyslexia, she tells the reader how she writes her best selling books using verbal instructions on her computer, which are then edited by her daughter.
I found this book very insightful yet easy to read, from a very humble and inspirational lady.

I’m overwhelmed. At first I was deeply sceptical, so much so that I borrowed the translation in Danish, an English edition being unavailable at Libby, which I am afraid was not a good idea, I noticed several strange sounding words in Danish that I could trace back to English, but even so I was gripped and fascinated in a way I hadn’t expected. It is not wellwritten, it is not great literature, still it is more compelling than most of what is considered fine literature.
I’d rather not say too much about what is going on here, I’m not able to assess or appraise the author’s sightings, so my 5 stars reflect the impression the book has left on me.

A heart warming read. Although not well written it had me smiling, in a good way, at the child like narrative. Lorna comes across as one of the beautiful people, kind and caring, someone I would love to meet.
The book itself brings the Angels into the 21st century, through the way they speak and dress. We would not recognise them walking amongst us.
Whether you believe in Angels or not (of which I do) this book is well worth reading, I look forward to reading more of her books.
Thank you Lorna and the Angels

Angels at My Fingertips is another amazing book by Lorna Byrne who sees angels that guide her everyday life, and so much more. The descriptions in this book of what angels wear, how they interact with our world, even the visual imagery of the energy in the flora that surrounds us are so incredibly detailed, I can't imagine anyone making them up. Lorna is a special lady picked by God to tell the world about angels, souls, our own souls and our evolution, a little bit at a time.

I only hope Lorna comes to Australia one day. I'll be in the front row. Thank you Lorna for your insight into our spiritual existence, and thank you God for allowing her to tell us what she sees.

Loved it. This is my 3rd Lorna Byrne book. Was worried there might be lots of duplication to two prior books (Angels in my Hair, and Message of Hope from the Angels), but this is mostly new material. Apparently the amount of information she’s allowed to share is slowly being increased which helps to avoid duplicated content. Amazing insight into God and heaven. Couldn’t put it down, just like the two others.

This memoir made a profound affect on my spirituality. The author, who from early childhood could see and communicate with angels, was told she was “retarded.” Her experiences helped me to reconnect with my own loving Guardian angel.

At the back of the book Ms Byrne gives tips on communicating with and understanding the many attentive, supportive, angels that surround us.

I was disappointed by this, there just isn't much in it that I can take away and use. It was great to read about the SKYPE call to Australia - I wish Lorna would come and visit us. I have asked for a feather but nothing so far.

What a story! When she was to the doctors told her parents she was retarded. Then later it was discovered that she has severe dyslexia! And now she has written several books, and tours the world lecturing! And amazing woman and an amazing story!

This was written even more 'real' life-ish. While every thought she walks you through may make the books seem a bit slower than her previous books, it also makes Lorna so much more human, believable and approachable. I'm encouraged by reading it. My life is better because of Lorna's message.

Me resultó bastante interesante.

An intriguing read. Skip the last few pages (a description of the crucifixion) if you're squeamish.
