This book actually provides quite a bit more than it advertises. Following the Bronze Rule/Fate Fractal reasoning that anything can be a character, this book defines "adversary" as anything that opposes the Player Characters. This has two major consequences. For the better, it makes the book a more valuable resource for GMs to throw at their players. For the worse, it means there's a decent chunk of wasted space defending their unorthodox definitions of terms.

Excellent book. Adversaries are more than just cannon fodder and villains.anything that stops you getting to your goal is an adversary. A door that can’t be opened, a wall that can’t be scaled? Adversaries!

Great guidelines for fleshing out the obstacles and enemies in your games, and tons of reskinable scenarios. I especially loved the sections on how to adjust each scenario to size for one-shots to large campaigns.

This is a really good book for shaping your encounter design in RPGs; not necessarily just Fate, even.
