A timeless collection of quotations by visionaries who have been catalysts for change - through the ages and across the globe
You Had Better Make Some Noise brings together the words of social activists, revolutionaries, artists, writers, musicians, philosophers, politicians, and more - galvanizing us all to do the same. Familiar figures - Thomas Paine to Bertrand Russell, Augustine to Gloria Steinem, Harvey Milk to Ai Weiwei, James Baldwin to Margaret Mead - are joined by a chorus of voices that have made their own indelible marks on the legacy of protest and progress.
"When the history of our times is written, will we be remembered as the generation that turned our backs in a moment of global crisis or will it be recorded that we did the right thing?" Nelson Mandela asked that question, and this positive and reinforcing book urges us to heed the call.

I used to be one of those people who would mock inspirational quotes but over the past few years I’ve grown to love them. This is a wonderful collection of quotes around to topic of politics, protest, and making the world a better place. I think it’s timely given the state of the world right now.
This was a super quick read but I can see it being a book that I come back to again and again. It filled me with hope and made me feel like maybe we have a chance.
(This would make an awesome grad gift for high school or university students.)
Although being a 190+ paged book, this is a very very quick read because it just contains the quotes.
This review is spoiler-free...
This book consists of quotes and can be read within less than 10 min because each page consist of one quote and sometimes two pages combined come with one quote. The quotes are in bold fonts with a combination of Yellow/ Black/ White background. This book is a tear type edge book, So if we like any quote, we can tear it from book easily.
Now when it comes to quote, all the quotes are from leaders who were used at the time of revolutions. So these are good quotes many are inspirational too but all were themed around the revolution.
This was 3 star for me only because of the theme of the quotes. These were good one though but not as per my taste. But never know maybe 5 star for you.
The book had interesting quotes and saying from famous figures that really resonates with the world today. It's one of the fascinating quote book I have read.
