Great series.
The first book in this series didn't start off well for me, but I kept reading and am glad I did. Books two and three were satisfying as is this, the fourth. This has a good, complicated plot leading hopefully to more in the series. There are intriguing characters, most who could have a book dedicated to their stories, and a great setting. If you miss old fashioned westerns, then this should be a series for you.

Certainly another successful story by an exceptionally talented author, and I have definitely enjoyed following Tabitha and Wolf once more. These episodes are very colorful and definitely entertaining, especially the suspenseful endeavors of the Rivers family from beginning to end!
Another five star masterpiece by an exceptionally talented author of old American western folklore. These adventures are very heartwarming episodes of realistic Indian and white men, with some mixed bloodlines also playing significant roles. I have long been a follower of Mr. Ron Schwab's writing abilities and this series is definitely one of his greatest releases this far.
There were several special episodes throughout this story that emphasizes his extensive research into the subject matter, indicating his uncanny ability to maintain his readers attention. Too, his excellent character selections never ceases to amaze me and his storylines successfully pacifys the most skeptical reader's expectations.
Definitely recommend this compassionate masterpiece of western adventures to anyone, especially those skeptics of great western folklore as I am sure even you will be hooked on these true to life escapades. I consider this book to be very family-friendly, even though some of the events may appear to be a little descriptive at times. Give yourselves a break and fill the Rivers family through their exciting adventures, as you will be as have been, I'm sure!

Here's another adventure by Ron Schwab of the life of a farmer rancher and his ex-wife who comes to torment him to death
Adam married Lilith 10 years ago and she just now found him. She's married again to Adeline and Abilene is 9 months pregnant with his child. Margo their daughter is living with them and she's never been happier. Angelina is a sweet stepmom and very nice. Adam talks both women had to shoot and take care of themselves before Angelina got pregnant. Little of his evil psychotic tormenting woman who loves to torture those who she thinks have done her wrong. She comes with a group of ruffians to take over the ranch and claim it as their own. The ruffians kill the good ranch hands and drag them out to behind the bunkhouse. She leaves two of her ruffians in the bunkhouse to guard Adam who is chained up until she can get to him. She's going to torture him and try to find out where his will is or to get him to make a new will and her favor. Margo and Angelina are prisoners and Lilith wants to kill Angelina and her baby because she's jealous of them. Gabriel is her other son and talks to his father and French in the bunkhouse and they make a plan to rescue the girls if Gabriel can get them to sneak out and escape.

This was more of a murder mystery than a western but that worked well anyway. However, a good mystery will leave "crumbs" for us to find that will let us guess who we think the murderer is but this book did not do that. It was a quick surprise at the end. Never saw that coming mainly because that person was not revealed until late. All the other possible people were though. Great character development. You don't have to read the previous books to catch up but it helps. As in the other books, some graphic violence. It probably reflected the times though. I like this series of books.

Ron Schwab has another winner!
After a great trilogy, Mr . Schwab starts a new series (hopefully) with the Rivers family in a new chapter of their lives. The League, an early version of organized crime in old Santa Fe, have unwittingly challenged the Rivers family and friends, and the family has picked up the gauntlet. Get comfortable when you start reading this book, you will not want to put it down.

Summers child
I have thoroughly this 4 book series. Although they can be read in any order it's best if they are read in sequence. Each book leads nicely into the next. The characters are certainly different from most western novels. Each character has their own story which is fully told in each novel. A refreshing change of pace. Hopefully the another can continue the series.

Very good story
I only write a few reviews considering the number of books I read, averaging 2 or more per week. Some books are too good not to write a positive review. This is one of them. I’ve read all the law wrangler books and enjoyed them all. This one, a murder mystery, a love story and western atmosphere all rolled in one I considered to be the best of all.

Very good
The combination of mystery and resourceful intelligence of the characters makes the story fast moving. The mystery of who murdered the judges wife is not apparent until the fact of the stiletto that the prostitute carried was reveled. And the evil gang of scammers downfall is satisfying to the conclusion.

Another Good One by Ron Schwab
I've now read 7 books by this author (Ron Schwab) and I'm getting ready to read the Coyote 3 and assume they'll be as good as the others. I am always somewhat reluctant to recommend books I read to someone else but, if you like good Western stories, these will grab your interest.

Fiction that reads the way you want history to read.
Summer's Child is the fourth book in the series by Ron Schwab. As did the previous three it continues the saga of the Rivers clan, the end of the Cheyenne indian's rule of the plains, and the change of life it all brings to the western frontier. The book is adventure, frontier justice, and even a love story. A great read!

Outstanding story in an outstanding series
Summer’s Child has it all — adventure, danger, love interests and passion. Like each of the books in the series it catches you and holds on. This is the 4th book and I am looking forward to 5,6&7. I am also regretting that I am more than halfway through an enthralling story. I encourage you to start with Book 1 — you won’t be sorry.

What a great book
This book is a definite page turner. This series has been nothing short of amazing and turns into a great read. Would highly recommend this series to everyone that enjoys a great story.

Best of the West
The River's family continues. It reminds me of The Sackets! Two great families that tell the story of how the West was won. I hope the Law Wrangler's story continues and we get Mr. Schwab busy on books 5- whatever!

Fast moving story
Wonderful follow up to previous book. So many characters going in different directions with the storyline all coming together. It would be great to have this story continue with the various characters as the town grows.

Super
I am a cowgirl at heart and this was a joy to read. The descriptions of the scenery are so well written I felt I could see it and the horses were beautiful to behold.
I read the series and loved every book.

The hubby says this is such a great book, you must read it. So, with that in mind, it is on my Kindle and I'm ready to read. He says it is a book that fascinates the reader from the beginning. We love historical westerns and this author does a great job.

The Law Wranglers four book series was an absolute joy to read.
Fiction with just the right amount historical facts makes for some enjoyable reading. Strong female characters were given a place where usually there is not any. A good read

I think this is the last book in this series, and I actually enjoyed the whole series. Usually by the time I get this far into a series of books they are getting so repetitive I have a hard time finishing them. Not at all with this book.

Really enjoyed this series. The last two books weren't as good as the first two but I find that's usually the case with series. There's a novella written using the same characters that I'm going to read next.

Another great yarn
Not being a fan of western novels, I came across Ron Schwab's saga and thought I would give them a try. Just finished the summer's child. I will now have to get Cut nose, his latest novel. Read the whole saga it's brilliant.

Wonderful
Great book, and great writing. Ron Schwab can tell a story in a way that moves you to another time and feelings that remain long after you finish the book. I really recommend his books, you will not be disappointed.

What a story.
He*s done it again, and left me anxious for more. I thought without the Native American connection I might not find as much suspense and action. But, I was wrong. It was great! I"m so glad I bought the series.

The fourth book in the series, a series that was well worthwhile to read and enjoy. Lively characters all of provided plenty of action. Ron's writings are crisp and clean without a great deal of words.
