not as good as the fighting ships series. this catalogues military aircraft from WWII, but not in as much detail. although it covers the biggies (spitfire, mustang, FW190) , it isn't as complete on other basic planes like the p-61, yak-1, He 111. Maybe i'm too picky, but Jane's has always set the bar pretty high.

Interesting resource, giving a snapshot of the information available to (American) civilians at 46/47. Lack of information available on German, Japanese and especially Soviet planes is telling.
