3.5 Stars. Get Technology is another book in the Build + Become series. I enjoyed learning about current technology and that of the future. There were so many interesting topics such as Bionic Implants, Exosuits, AI and Cybersecurity. Some things actually made me a bit worried about whats to come! Thanks to Book Depository for my hardback copy of Gerald Lynch's book.

I was sent a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Still not as entertaining as the one on philosophy, but this book really made me think about some ideas about the future which really emphasizes the "thought-provoking" in the tittle.

The book is presenting technology now and technology that we might have in the future, as well as some science-fiction ideas that would probably become reality but in a far far far away future. I really liked how it explained in a few details technologies such as VR or driverless cars - the pictures with legends like where the wi-fi is, the rotating cameras and so on, were extremely helpful.

This is a great book to spark curiosity.

This is the last book in 2020, and I love it ,

The book covers around 20 technological topics from virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence etc..

Each topic is covered is unique with amazing presentation and content, and after I finished each section there's information for further learning such as: other books to read, documentaries, sites to visit and even Sci-Fi movies and novels for some topics.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves technology and science to read,

This book is part of book series with amazing content, I am planning to read the remaining books for this series.

I love technology and because of that fact a lot of points in this book wasn't anything new. In addition to that it felt very much like reading an internet article about these technologies that you probably already know about.

The premise is that by the end, you will be in the know but it doesn't really give you much in depth facts to give you insider knowledge. It might as well be a lads geeky sleepover and you talk about where the future of technology 'might' be going.

It gives you further reading material. Basically saying "I know I haven't give you much to go on, so get some proper books to learn more."

It did make a few points I hadn't considered and most of it was laid out fairly simply with explanitary diagrams for the things you will read. I recommend this book for the middle aged or pensioners who are not "up" on technology.

Get Technology, explores twenty technologies from the basics to applications to everyday life. The topics cover a wide spectrum from Virtual Reality to Artificial Intelligence. This series is written to provide a framework for learning and includes additional materials. I appreciated the tone, I am familiar with the concepts included in this slim volume, and it isn't pedantic or simplistic in its explanations. The supporting materials surprised me as they are not limited to non-fiction, but include novels, film, and activities all chosen to better understand the concepts.

I received an eARC of this title from NetGalley in exchange for a review. The FTC wants you to know.

Get Technology is great for everyone who is a little lost regarding all these new things that appaer everything on TV. But for me, it wasn't anything new. Although It was good, I wasn't hooked. I guess I didn't particulary like the writing style
