What an adventure. I loved every min of it (audio) and really well done. Kept me coming back for more. I would recomend this to anyone who has read the previous books. It just adds more flavor.

Excellent in so many ways
007 move over without all the gadgets. Luke Stone at his finest when he has his team with him. I’m thrilled he and his team rid the earth of many other tyrannical terrorists..the radical, crazy, insane types who believe they can run amuck with impunity. Sorry to burst your bubble you crazy loonies. I sure wish we did have that type of team to run interference from time to time. Great book. Excellent sequel. Hope you write follow ups to this.

A great plot (and offshoot to the main plot) which was well written, had excellent pacing, and a score of great characters (except again for any General in the story, Jack Mars does not have a high opinion of Generals)

Better than most
The action, atmosphere and characters are pure entertainment and and enjoyment.
The story flows with non stop situations and reasonably believable solutions. I have never read any action series as thrilling and satisfying as the Lucas Stone series by Jack Mars.
I wholeheartedly recommend this novel and the companion stories.

Very exciting, can't put down. Lots of lost sleep. Wish I had another one to res

Greatly enjoyed this Luke Stone thriller. Thought how he ingrained more personal detail on the characters in this volume was a plus. I listened as an Audiobook and my biggest compliment was listening in 1.0 speed - as I did not want it to end! Great listen!

The Best!
Very EXCITING! I absolutely enjoyed this book and it seemed to end too soon!
But then again, all the Luke Stone books end too soon!
So grab a large pot of coffee or drink of choice, a comfortable chair,and dive in!!

This is the 7th and last book in the series.

In this book, it starts off with a bang and keeps on going. By this point, the President and our hero are no longer keeping the relationship "secret" thank the good lord. I couldn't be happier about this one. Also, our hero is starting to face some truths on the home front, so it looks he's finally 'growing' up.
The plot is good and keeps you reading to see where else and who else is going to be involved in this one. However, when our hero and his team go off and help other civilians, those in Washington DC have heart attacks and our hero gets orders which he doesn't follow. That's always going to back fire on a employee going against a boss and add in going against a girlfriend and you can imagine the things that will be said...
However when the things that were stolen start to get pointed at the US, the hero not following orders will be one thing making people mad.
The characters were good and believable. The new people who get in to help the hero are fleshed out pretty good as well. The ending is a bit of a hit and miss with what happens. I think it could have been done better, but that's me liking good closed endings.
I'd recommending reading all the books before reading this ending so you know what its all about with the different relationships within.

Luke Stone all dressed up, in the Whitehouse, now finally has somewhere to go. Africa. To chase down a missing weapon that may have fallen into the hands of terrorists. He's back in action and loving every minute of it and so am I. Luke and big, bad Ed Newsome are at it again with a new, shady sidekick. Once they are in the African jungle it's all action. Of course, there's the political intrigue back at the Whitehouse, while the President, Susan, Luke's new secret girlfriend, worries and pines away for him like a teenager. Her inner thoughts are so unpresidential is comical. While Luke is toiling awAy with the bad guys she is fighting her own battle with the generals and the Russian president. This makes for a very good and interesting read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book.

Read the other 7 books in this series in July, 2 months before getting this one. How will it read, out of sequence and 'out of time'?
Amazing. This is great writing - the kind where you realize your stomach has been growling for 20 minutes, and you scold yourself, this is a story, nothing is actually happening right now, it's okay to get up for a minute!
Until about Chapter 14, where it reads like recycled content from the previous books. Bad guys VERY bad, good guys, well, better than very bad guys, and step-by-step-by-step, slowly, the predictable story unrolls like a mass-produced carpet.
But wait! That's just for a few short easily skimmable chapters. This was fun, gritty, gripping, good. A bit repetitive with the explanations and justifications for both villains and heroes. but in all a solid four-star read.

Once again the reader must be ready for a fast ride.................fasten those seatbelts!
When an American Dipolmat dies on a plane that is shot down in Africa it is discovered that someone has stolen a "weapon of mass distruction" from the Russians. Luke Stone and his team are sent out to find that weapon but are waylaid by their guide to rescue over 100 young girls that have been kidnapped by Boko Haram. Then, and only then, can they find the weapon and try to keep it from harming anyone is the US.
Another great Luke Stone story. I love it when the bad guys lose!!

Why I chose a 4*instead of a 5*, is because I got annoyed at the left vs right. I felt the political agenda for beginners was so bias it left nothing to the imagination the writers intent. Second the writer does not need to continually fill pages of the same rhetoric over and over ie., He had a red beard, or, he wore these ragged jeans, etc., It was repeated many times over of inconsequential things. A great read ruined for me at least, by my idiosyncrasies of the aforementioned items.

Not the norm
I was a little let down by this one , I expected more to come from the three amigos but it really never happened. The disarming of the weapon by Ed was predictable and the insuring battle to get to it was unremarkable. Also Luke stone was some what unremarkable in this one.
Parts like the general and the leak were never addressed.
All in all I was a bit let down......

March 20, 2025As usual, this "Luke Stone" book by Jack Mars was great. It capped off the story of Luke Stone very well! Although, as usual, I am a bit saddened that this series is over, but then again, another awesome series I would imagine by Jack Mars. The entire series is rated an A+ just as Agent Zero series.

Another good book

Action at its finest
Following in the series this book is nonstop action. I could see in this book what probably goes on in missions in Afghanistan. I was captured in each chapter as Luke Stone and his group go after a secret weapon.

Another good thriller!
Agent Stone is at it again, running to Africa to save Americs from a terrorist attack. This one is a bit far-fetched (I hope), but lots of fun to read. For fans of the series, this one does not disappoint.

Another great book by JackMars.
This book keeps you reading. I couldn't put it down. Don't buy it unless you can finish it quickly. As with the other six books in this series, they just keep getting better.

Enjoyed the series. Often times redundant but still very good reads. While reading House Divided it felt like a precursor to Our Sacred Honor. I concluded the book feeling the same way. The two books felt out of order.

Solid Read
I hadn’t read a Luke Stone novel in quite some time, so I enjoyed this one involving African terrorists, an old Russian weapon, and possible natural disasters. Quite a ride for Stone and his team.

very good thriller. new mystery weapon gets stolen and sold to al qaeda. stone and team are sent to recover it in Boko Haram infested territories.

Did not disappoint
