Born with a rare blood disorder that means she cannot go out in daylight, Accacia has learned to live in the dark, even if it has been incredibly lonely. Determined to find a cure that will finally allow her to walk in the sun, Accacia has spent her days and nights holed up in her laboratory doing just that.
After a freak encounter with a tall, dark and ridiculously handsome stranger, Accacia might just have found her cure, but not in the way she expected. Drawn into a parallel world of paranormal creatures and a Queen who wants her dead, Accacia has to put her trust in three vampires who, seemingly, want to devour her in more ways than one.

Accacia's Curse is book one of the Sister of Hex - reverse harem series. The first three books will follow Accacia and her vampire suitors; Rhain, Ezra, and Devin.

Accacia's Curse was simply spellbinding! I devoured this book as soon as I got my hands on it. Accacia's life has never been an easy one with her 'curse' and things are getting more interesting by the minute! We follow Accacia on her journey of self discovery as she comes to realise her world is not at all as it seems. Three mouthwatering vampires, a magical realm and an ancient prophecy, what more could you want?! Paige has set this series up impeccably and has woven a heck of an interesting tale that I can't wait to sink my teeth into - pun totally intended! Loved this book!

I wouldn't say the book is bad. It has potential, so does the universe and the writing is nice.
But i felt so disconnected to everything. The characters felt pretty bland and the story was missing a sparkle.

This is a very good start to a new series. Bea Paige has beautifully weaved a whole new world populated by supernatural races who have to find their "lost" daughters because of a prophecy. This is going to be a long series of books and I am glad that I got in on the ground floor because I loved this gripping, fast-paced, unique tale.
Accacia is the first heroine of the series and she is English to her core, until she suddenly finds out her heritage is a little more unusual than that. She is a strong independent woman who is suddenly faced with three men who tell her how important she is to their world and to them. She finds this too much to cope with, despite being inexplicably (to her) drawn to the three. Other reviewers have protested that she was strong but stupid, acquiescing to them one minute and then pushing them away the next but I think the way she acts rings true to her character, upbringing and the sheltered way she has had to live until now and how her life turns upside down in an instant. There is also a suggestion that the three men disrespected Accacia with their actions (no spoilers) but I think those very few occasions alluded to also fitted in with the story. Accacia is overwhelmed by everything that is happening to her and the men are trying to do the right thing but are also struggling with how to proceed in the face of her confusion and reluctance to just follow them blindly. Insta-love in "real world" stories is not really my thing because, let's face it, how real is that? But in paranormal fantasy when meeting mates, which we all know is insta-attraction at the very least, that I don't mind. What I liked about this book is that although we assume the four of them are meant to be together, the path to true reverse harem is not running smoothly and I am greatly looking forward to finding out where they end up (and I'm rooting for Ezra especially, in the circumstances).
The book does not end in a cliffhanger but sets up the next book very nicely.
I found Bea Paige because I read her prequel story, Five Gold Rings, in "12 Days of Christmas: A Christmas Collection" and was entranced so sought out the series, eager to see what happened next. The "12 Days of Christmas" authors are giving the proceeds to Bookbus so it is a marvellous way to help others while helping yourself to twelve great seasonal reads.
I received a copy of the book from the author but am voluntarily writing this review and the opinions are my own.

Where to begin...
Lets start with Accacia our femal mc, She's a dark dweller unable to live in the light due to a severe reaction/allergy to the sun which everyone around her has put down to an unknown genetic defect. This is the catalyst for her pursuing a career in pathology, a way for her to secretly look at her own ailment and try to find a cure.
Enter Rhain, Devin and Ezra our 3 heroes... The word Vampire would be an apt one for them .. however they are from a different world one where that word does not exist, sure they're hot, have fangs and require blood to sustain them but they are actually the victims of a curse cast by a wicked witch/Queen who rules with cruelty and fear in their world.
What ensues when they meet is a lot of drama a kidnapping some bonding, drinking of blood, a trip through a door into another world and a connection between them which is only going to get stronger and stronger.
What a fantastic world Bea Paige has created, the characters are well written, the world building is completely believable and I did not want the story to end.
This is a reverse harem series and I can not wait to see how it plays out..a fabulous start to a new series

This book is one of my favorite reads of this year. This story centers on Accacia who can't go out in the sun. One day after work, she is attacked by a coworker. In steps Rhain. Then comes along Ezra and Devin. Accacia is a strong MC who has just had her world turned upside down by the appearance of these three men. This is a must read. I can't wait for book 2 of the series.

Born with a rare blood disorder that means she cannot go out in daylight, Accacia lives in darkness determined to find the reason behind her condition, determined to find a cure. Her life is spent in the hospital lab or at home, always researching, always alone. Leaving work one evening, an attack by a co-worker and a rescue by an unknown man begins the road to answers, opens the door to a whole new world. The knight in shining armor who came to Accacia's rescue is in her house when she wakes the next morning and is followed by his two brothers in arms. Except they are not exactly men. They are what we consider vampires. Accacia's life is forever changed. She's in danger, her life is tied to the lives of the men literally, and she's part of a prophecy to save her world.

This is a hard book for me to review. I am going to review and rate it as an objective reviewer and on a personal level as separately as possible to be fair. There is a lot of good to this book. The story is original; the set up in this first book has great potential to become an excellent series. It's easy to see how it will all be woven together. The world building and world history are nicely done and I hope each book continues to add even more layers and depth. There's a wealth of paranormal characters, vampires, wolf shifters, angels, the fae, and good and evil witches. There's plenty of danger, action, even magic. The characters, Accacia, Rhain, Devin, and Ezra are all nicely developed. Accacia is a smart, strong lead female. She's lonely but doesn't seem bitter, just focused. The men are strong, fearless soldiers. Ever Vale, the prophecy, the five sisters, five clans; this is all fantastic. This is an entertaining book, one I think others will enjoy, so as a pure reviewer I will rate it a 4 star.

Now for my personal rant. I liked Accacia. I liked the guys. The four together though really bothered me. I don't want to do any spoilers, but I didn't feel that the guys cared about Accacia even a little. It wasn't stated, but I feel that the prophecy chose them to find her and that they are meant to be together to help fulfill the prophecy along with the other 4 sisters and their men. Once they found Accacia, Rhain professed to be overwhelmed with his feelings for her, yet he still disrespected her with another woman at the bar and again in a lesser manner once they returned to Ever Vale. Devin seems interested in her AND every other female he runs across. That he purposefully flirts in front of her could be alright except that he touches them (too far) and even in conversation talking about other women he smiles and makes comments about how pleasurable they would be. Heck no! And then there's Ezra. He's still completely in love with his deceased wife. Ready to die and join her. No interest in moving beyond his love and guilt over her death. He's not even nice to Accacia most of the time. His only remaining bond is with his brothers. There were several instances of the guys dismissing or belittiling Acccacia's wishes. They disrespected her feelings with other women. I read Reverse Harem because I love the fantasy of one woman being the center of the universe with a group of incredible men. I want to see the female treasured, loved, protected, cherished. It's unrealistic, sure, but I love it. This book upset me instead. True 'feeling sick to my stomach' upset at times. Guess that at least proves how realistic the characters seem!

I do recommend this book. Other readers may have an entirely different view of the men and the relationships than I do. I will read book 2. I love the idea of the 5 sisters and there's an excellent chance that the other relationships will be more along the lines of how I want the RH to be. I have a good feeling about the wolves.

I love the whole world that Bea created and am fascinated by the sisters. This one follows Accacia and her vampire men; Devon, Rhain, and Ezra. I loved watching how they came together and really feel for the characters, especially Ezra right now! This is a refreshingly different vampire story and I am very excited about the series.
I can't wait to read the next two as well as the trilogies for the other 4 sisters. This is shaping up to be a unique, interesting, and exciting adventure!

It took quite a while to adjust to Megan Green's narration, i'm honestly not sure I fully came around to it. It took me out of the story a bit but it wasn't enough that I would stop listening or prevent me from listening to the next two.

I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it

Wowser, this is a great book! Full of excitement and drama from the beginning. Accacia works in a lab looking at people's biopsies and deciphering if they have an illness and if they do what it is. She is also trying to work out what is wrong with herself

She meets Rhain when he saves her, and her life will never be the same again, Rhain, Ezra and Devin unbalance her and pull her into a world she knows nothing about

I highly recommend this book, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next book in the series

Being born with a rare blood disorder causes Accacia to be unable to go out into the sunlight. She has learned to live in the dark and has dedicated her life's work into finding a cure for her disorder, but it had been an incredibly lonely one.
Relationships are hard to manage when her partners tire of not being able to go out during the day, she has basically decided it isn't worth the hassle.
However, when a co-worker jut doesn't seem to understand the word no, a tall dark and handsome stranger steps in to help, she didn't realize it would lead to her life being uprooted.
Accacia is drawn into a parallel world of paranormal creatures and a Queen who wants her dead. She is forced to put her trust into three vampires who want to devour her in more ways than one.
Rhain, Ezra, and Devin all have different opinions on how to deal with Accacia, but all seem to fight an attraction she causes them.

Vampires are my jam!
If I'm looking for a new book, the first thing I go to is paranormal and usually involving vampires.
This book hits two of my favorite genres. Reverse Harem and Paranormal.
Bea Paige writes beautifully and you get sucked into the characters lives and how they feel.
I found myself speed reading through the book because I just had to know what would happen next.
I've already pre-ordered the next two books in the series because I need to know what will happen.
How will the men react to Accacia being in their world?
What will happen when they find the other "sisters"?
If you are thinking of reading this book, do it.
You will not be sorry. I think you will get sucked into like I did.
It is well-written!

OMGoodness!!! Accacias curse is so crazy good. Accacia is a strong independent woman, a pathologist, who has lived a life of isolation, because of a rear disorder. Now enter 🚪Rhain, Ezra and Devin 🔥🤗👍 Three sexy men from clan Lux searching for the lost clan Lux daughter.

I can’t scream enough about how much I enjoyed this instalment of Accacias story. It’s a great beginning to the series. Leaves you wanting more yet satisfied until the next release. Great story and concept. Loved the world of Ever Vale and the magical discription of its beauty.

I have to highlight how gorgeous the cover is. It’s seductive, sentual and the colours are amazing. Visual art and covers are what I am drawn to when chosing books. So great work on the design 😁

I am sooooooo looking forward to see what Accacia Rhain Ezra and Devin get up to next. If you are new to the RH genre or an old hand. You will love this book, because honestly #whychoose 😂

The author has created interesting characters that she has managed to bring to life, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and flaws, drawing the reader into the story right from the beginning.
The protagonist, Accacia, has an illness that prevents her from going out into the sunlight, otherwise her skin blisters. When 3 strange, gorgeous men suddenly appear in her life, they turn her world upside down and things will never be the same again. She is a feisty woman who takes no nonsense from anyone, and the relationships between these four characters work incredibly well.
This is the first book in what is promising to be a fantastic series, and I look forward to following each story as the series develops.

Curious to find out more

The author has begun buildings very interesting world in the start to this series, and I’m anxious to learn more and see where she takes it. I’ll admit that the MC aggravated me a bit with her push and pull with the guys and her stubbornness, refusing to give in, seemingly just for the sake of not giving in. Some of it may be attributed to her rigid lifestyle requirements brought on because of her “disease”, but at the same time, I feel like someone in her shoes might jump at the chance to be around people “like her”. All in all though, I enjoyed the book and will absolutely continue the series

This book was amazing. Accacia was living a half life because she had a disease that made sunlight painful. Then one night leaving work she is rescued by Rhain and her life is changed forever. The story was original and very intriguing. I love the concept of the curse and how it twisted the thing the clans loved the most. I can't wait to read the rest of Accacia's story and then the rest of her "sisters'" books too.

What an interesting world the author has created here. It starts with Accacia and she has a rare generic disorder that prevents her from going into the sun without being immediately burned. This is an RH so her men come into play as well but they aren’t from around here. This is not an easy journey that Accacia is on and everything doesn’t click into place. I really enjoy that part. I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

Vampires, wolves and witches oh my

I love books with multiple supernatural involved and you certainly get that with these books. I like the way all the characters are being linked even though they will have their own trilogy. Looking forward to seeing how things develop with CIA and her guys. Great storyline!! Thanks.

I don't know how Bea Paige did it. The world this book is based on is simply magical. Accacia is a strong, independent female. She finds herself discovering the reason she burns in the light. She meets the guys and has to learn about the prophecy. The guys are all different but I love Ezra the best. This is a great start to Accacia's story and the series as a whole.

4.5☆

The story is very intriguing, as soon as you're a couple chapters in you're hooked. Each one of the guys is so different that it keeps you wanting to learn more about them individually. This book was a great introduction to the rest of the story, I can't wait for the upcoming adventure Accacia and the guys will be going on in the next book.

Four Stars!

This was a interesting beginning to a new series for me. These days I do tend to read a lot of RH but not very many paranormal ones that include vampires. I will say that this book still kept me very intrigued because these are some HOT vampires! I am excited to see how her connections will build with her other two harem members and how they will fulfill the prophecy.

Wow

This book I totally loved! I couldn't put it down. Accacia is a strong female, I'm hoping her knights stay strong too. I'm not sure how she is going to win over the one that lost so much, we will find out in the next book, I hope.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

I bounce between a 3 and 4 with this one, but I must say that I absolutely am enthralled with the magical world she's created. Like, wow. Let's just take a moment to reflect on the awesomeness of this series' world and plot.

Accacia was an interesting person. The book started off well enough and I really liked the tone. And then the guys came and it was chaotic for her. While I liked her rigorous, careful way of living, I never really got that until the end, when she realized why she was the way she was. Her struggle to accept these random strangers in her life was a bit hard on me emotionally because of her constant indecision to either be okay with them, officially throw them out, or get mad at them when they pay any attention (for survival reasons of course) to other women other than her. And this is when she's constantly flipping them off, okay? So I won't spoil anything, and just say that personally, her struggles were felt a little too much by this reader lol.

When I wasn't annoyed with her getting mad at them, I was totally fangirling over the slow reveal of just how awesome this whole thing is going to be. My first impression of Accacia can't really be taken too seriously, I feel like, because she's a rigid woman who's had to keep herself isolated, and getting all these men in her life with their own set of expectations and "rules" is overwhelming. I totally get that and don't fault her for acting the way she did. It was just exhausting at times XD.

I'd totally still read it because despite how Accacia took everything, the overall picture itself was interesting enough to make me want to continue. It's a recommend if you love RH, magic men crashing into your lives, and moments of intensity that will have you wondering how it's going to end.

Good read

Accacia finds herself in a jam when not one but three men show up, determined to help her even if she doesn't believe them. This book is all about her finding out who she really is and trying to make sense of it all.

Accacia’s Curse is a complex story of the cursed world of Ever Vale. Three vampires emerge to insure Accacia’s safety and secure her place as one who has been fortold to be key in the reversal of the curse. Four more “Daughters” need to be found, and that is what future books promise. This is a reverse harem series with just enough passion to fuel the fires.
Ms. Paige has begun weaving an extraordinary world with characters from every walk of paranormal life. Her descriptions are vivid and draw the reader deeper into the story. I look forward to the release of more books. Highly recommended.

Wow!

Bea Paige has done an amazing job with this first book in the series!
I love the twist of the blood disorder, how she has brought each harem member into the fold! Giving you more with each chapter, slowly bringing you into the world of Ever Vale opening up to the next 4 sisters!
I love how she has brought her bestfriend into the fold as well. I honestly can not wait for the rest in the series! And it's a total of 15 books!!!

She's not sure what causes this but when she meets three very sexy strangers, she hopes to get some answers. I can't wait for the next book.
