TWO ARCHERS. ONE-SHOT. Kate Bishop, A.K.A. Hawkeye, finds herself smack-dab in the middle of a battle royal between the world's most skilled sharpshooters — including an inexplicably young Clint Barton, A.K.A. the OTHER Hawkeye. The prize? Bragging rights for being named the best, of course — oh, and you get to stay alive! Unfortunately for Clint, several of his competitors are villains he's taken down, making HIM a primary target. So, on top of figuring out where and WHEN she is, Kate's got to find a way to win this little contest of skills and keep her not-so-old pal Clint out of the crosshairs… easy, peasy.

Currently living in Portland, Oregon with her boyfriend and the two brilliant cats that run their lives, you can find Kelly all over the Internet where she is generally well liked, except where she's detested.
Kelly has published two novels - THE GIRL WHO WOULD BE KING (2012) and STORYKILLER (2014) and the graphic novel HEART IN A BOX from Dark Horse Comics (2015). She's currently writing ROGUE & GAMBIT, HAWKEYE, and PHASMA for Marvel Comics and GHOSTBUSTERS for IDW. Kelly's ambitions are eclipsed only by her desire to exist entirely in pajamas. Fortunately pajamas and writers go hand in hand (most of the time). Please buy all her stuff so that she can buy (and wear) more pajamas.
I loved having Clint and Kate back together. The plot itself wasn't anything great, but man, did I miss these two. At least I have issue #13 to look forward to now.
at the end of this it says the next comic is hawkeye #13, so it’s probably safe to assume this falls in between kate bishop’s hawkeye issues 12 and 13. probably anyway
I've been reading fewer comics lately, and have cancelled some subscriptions, but I still get every Hawkeye issue that comes out. They're always fun to read for me, with Kate Bishop's Hawkeye as much as with Clint Barton's (though admittedly I enjoyed the Fraction/Aja stories a bit more than the current run. Those were brilliant, right now it's only very good). So no surprise that this issue - even though nothing really 'deep' is happening (unless you count Kate's little speech at the end during which Clint falls asleep on her) - was right up my alley.
the only other Kate / Clint interaction I have read were Clint's brief appearances in Young Avengers. I really enjoyed this issue! and what it shows about the issues Kate is dealing with post-young avengers. I should read more Hawkeye & post-young avengers Kate Bishop!
I adored the Hawkeye comics by Fraction. So of all the generations comics, I think the two Hawkeyes were the ones I knew the most, and Kate is the only one I read up in depth. This was a nice meet-up again with Kate and Clint, although it is nothing really new.
