I love reading the boxsets, as they are all in one set and you don't have to go looking around for the whole series, and you don't go out of sync. Also, it counts as one book when borrowing ONE book from Kindle Unlimited. Which is a bonus. This book was OK. It was not a 5 star as someone had marked it, but about a 3 - 3.5. It kept me entertained, and that was what it is all about. I am not too fussy about English settings, and I find that there is just too many errors, and silly wordings in their books. But that is just me. Hope that you enjoy this book. Regards, Theresa
Just how good these stories were. Be it the corrupt oil companies poisoning children with their toxic waste, to kidnapping a government officials children to keep a bill from going to the house. The thrills and twists and turns keep you guessing. The culprit involved is one you never would have expected. In the next two stories you have a child piano prodigy kidnapped also. The heroine is an e detective from Miami, that left the big crime for the peaceful life in Van Burean . She had not even out her PI sign when the childs parents came to her for help. From having her truck wrecked,to having her house burnt down, with her unconscious father inside, leaving her to have to save him just after getting out of the hospital herself. She must have been part cat cause it seems as she has about used most of them up in this book.
I gave up on the second. Didn't waste my time with the rest.
Authors need to avoid writing strong female characters, if they have no respect for women. The villain gets the drop on the heroine because she is utterly incompetent. 😐
